Hi !! Could you maybe draw how you imagine Arya's reunion with Nymeria in the books ?

I love your art so much !

This question is very old lol. When I started drawing this I had a quieter and fun scene in mind, then I started adding characters and I got lost. And I've spent way too long arguing with the color palette of this thing. I give up. I hope you like it as it is.

My favourite kind of Gendrya fic is either a reunion or post-reunion fic or a relationship reveal fic of any kind where Gendry and Arya obviously seem to know each other and Jon is just stood there watching them like:

I don't think Ary@ had crush on Gendry. I think she regards him as her friend and part of pack. Bran crushing hard on Meera is visible. But I don't think Ary@ even think about Gendry in that way. We don't have Gendry pov to access his feelings. What do you think?

I confess, I did think Gendrya was a book thing. I read “My Featherbed” as their song, so I didn't think making it romantic was D&D pulling it out of their asses. To me, Arya and Sansa both have parallels to Lyanna, so it made a lot of sense that she would end up with Robert's son and Sansa end up with Rhaegar's as a way of providing some commentary and criticism of those men.

As in, Robert is told he saw only Lyanna's beauty not the iron beneath, and Gendry meets Arya in disguise and she kicks him and calls him names, so he knows her, not his own creation of a girl, or claim to her. That felt very deliberate to me.

Rhaegar kept poor Lyanna in a tower, far away from her home and family, and I think Jon will be instrumental in reclaiming Sansa's home and returning her to it.

I don't think the lack of Arya having an obvious crush means much as Arya is very young, their reunion was intended to be much later (I assume) at which point the romantic feelings would have kicked in. I guess that has all been set aside now, with the loss of the time skip, but I liked the idea because it allows canon to converse with precanon in a fun way.

a concept:

everyone gathers after the battle of winterfell. gendry and arya see each other and visibly relax. gendry looks at arya and raises an eyebrow, silently asking are you okay? arya nods almost imperceptibly and raises her eyebrow to give him the same look. he nods. they both relax even more and maybe even give a small smile. nobody in the group notices.

THIS FACE RIGHT HERE!!! This is the face I hope Gendry (Joe) pulls when he reunites with Arya! Because he’s obviously happy to see her, relieved that she’s still alive, sad that she’s still mad at him, but at the same time he understands that she’s still mad at him because wanting to leave her for the brotherhood was a dickmove (though justified in his head). This expression here has all of that, I think!!! (And also this GIF is Joe in British mini series One of Us which I think is one of Joe’s best performances so far)

Just thought of a reunion fic idea which I can never write because my style is only for modern AUs so here goes:

Arya has been in west of Westeros for ten years, having settled down in a simple house with her daughter, Eadlyn Stark (y’all can choose a name, I just thought Eddard + Catelyn lol). She’s convinced that she’s happy now, finally finding herself once more, with her little girl granting her that familial love that she’s been desperate for for years. Eadlyn never asks about her father, and for that, Arya was grateful.

Until a raven from Bran falls into the wrong hands, Eadlyn runs away from home, and now Arya is forced to leave and venture to the Stormlands, where her daughter is heading to in search of Lord Gendry Baratheon, her father.

Bonus:

Arya and Gendry decide to start over, to be friends once more and hopefully (obviously) fall in love again.

I still can't get over the fact Gendry finally called her Arya. If nothing happened between them on screen, that alone would've been enough to tell me he loves her.
