I've never played Mother 3 but I'm interested in genderfluid Lucas :) [a classmate of mine has told me about Earthbound a lot so I know a decent amount]

[fucking VIBES] ok this post will probably make sense without having played mother 3 just so long as you know the characters to some degree

this is mostly a copy paste of the big list i dumped in a couple servers earlier today but with some more elaboration for stuff i talked about or thought of afterwards. i’m gonna go feral now

 -he's pretty much always down with he/they pronouns but occasionally sways towards she/her, i’m thinkin that it’s probably something that changes from one day to another. usually lucas vibes with masculine or androgynous; days where they’re completely in the gal zone are rare but do happen from time to time

-claus nicknames female aligned lucas 'lucy' and she fucking LOVES it. in general lucas doesn't have any issues or dysphoria attached to their name and can't imagine being called anything else, but the nickname sticks

-flint has absolutely no experience in this area because he's a boomer but he tries really hard to be supportive. he proudly introduces his ‘they them son’ to all his friends and that isn’t exactly correct but lucas still feels very appreciated

-lucas and kumatora are enby solidarity and fucking destroy transphobes

-kuma also helps him to find a slightly more androgynous style and the mag/psy upbringing fucking Jumps Out. she goes absolutely apeshit over creating a fashion style to confuse the gender binary out of existence and lends lucas a whole bunch of her old stuff so for a while he looks like an amateur kumatora cosplay every time they’re in the mood to wear a dress

-lucas tries to grow his hair longer because it better suits whatever presentation they're in the mood for but instead of getting longer it just gets bigger. somehow he manages to eventually scrape it into a ponytail anyway. it’s very cute.

-because i can and will die for claus with long hair he teaches lucas how to take care of it and keep it neat. initially lucas Does Not Trust Like That because this is the same claus who used to have spiders falling out of his hair on the regular for how rarely he let anyone even touch it but it turns out that claus is really good at it so a lot of times he’ll brush lucas’ hair for a while when one or both of them need to destress for a bit

-if you deliberately misgender lucas claus just fucking kills you instantly. get pk thundered. respect his sib or lose your ribs

i’ve run out of this train of thought but please feel free to yeet me more asks to elaborate on a point or talk about something i didn’t cover! i am vibing Heavily with this headcanon at the moment so my head is very full of thoughts but i have adhd and autism that won’t let me find them or translate them into actual words so you have to knock them out of me like you’re getting wood from a tree in animal crossing

also i edited a more female presenting version of my lucas sprite while i was vibing with this so [gently places her into your hands] something cute to look at until i actually have finished coloured art of this headcanon to show off
