Genji flicks the scalpel between his fingers, a gentle ting whenever it hits against the metal of his hands.
"Must you?" Moira asks, not looking up from her screen, one hand typing, the other flicking through papers, messy with her scrawl.
"Can't sleep."
"And you decided to make that my problem, I see." Idly she types, the screen becoming a blur that she blinks back into focus.
"You're the only one awake."
A sly smile as she leans back into her chair, crossing a long, lithe leg. "I'm not your substitute Angela."
The scalpel falls, nicking what exposed flesh is left on his thigh. Genji smudges the dot of blood with his thumb.
"So easy to startle the little sparrow." She watches him suck away the blood from his finger, curious how sensitive those artifical sensors really are. Moira knows in theory, of course. But there's nothing like the driver's seat.
Moira flexes her scarred hand, withered and worn, bones shaping as if already broken, veins a blackened walkway.
"You could never be her."
The bristle in his voice almost makes Moira laugh, even before the words. "Like I'd want to be. Must be exhausting being that uptight and righteous everyday." She catches Genji's eye from over her glasses. "Although," Moira rolls her two fingers idly over thumb, "there was always that small window where she was a little less annoying after a good fuck."
Fwip.
Moira pulls the scalpel out of her headrest, so close to her head she could feel its cool steel to skin. She throws it back, Genji catching it between two fingers. "You know I'm right."
He remembers the way Angela spoke of Moira. Disdain, disgust, an offense that she still breathed. But she spoke of her.
Often.
He knew they'd spent a lot of time together. Forced and necessary, their brilliant fucking minds colliding to create things Genji couldn't even comprehend. Time spent together when Genji shed blood with Blackwatch, weeks tucked away in an anonymous corner of the world, stalking and waiting, sharpening steel until he recieved the order to go.
Angel was never his, and he was never hers. But it felt like the confession of yes yes yes I'm yours always fucking yours was carved into his body, blazen on his chest, on what flesh was left.
But neither of them looked. Turning elsewhere, feeling elsewhere.
Genji slides off the counter, silent steps feeling so loud, too heavy as he walks past, glancing at the clock. 03:23.
"She doesn't even like you." He stares at the doorway where he stands. At the blank message box to Angela he's pulled up on his HUD. At the blinking cursor saying nothing. Too much.
Moira smirks, stretching her legs on the table, fucking papers be damned. "When did I ever say she did?"

So I'm noodling around, wondering if I have enough fic ideas for Kinktober and... yup. A fair start, anyway. Will they all get written? Dunno. Will they be posted in this order? Also don't know. But I collected a couple prompt lists, sorted them out, thought of some ideas, and lo! here we are. 5 fandoms, a couple poly ships, a fair number of wlw. The greyed-out boxes are ones that I don't have ideas for yet, but that's okay: there's a bit of time left before October, after all!

Accompanying piece to a Gency ficlet under the cut! :D
Angela would tirelessly dedicate a good portion of her week to monitor Genji's enhancements, double-checking his oxygen levels and considering new filtration systems for his biotic fluids. She then worried about the adjustments to his cyborg body and new pain medications, second-guessing her own decisions one too many times.
But Genji always reassured Angela that everything was fine, and that if there were any issues he'd tell her at once. He did not like seeing her so stressed and anxious.
He fondly remembers their late night conversations, sharing a dish of her favorite apple pie and cups of stale coffee. He'd listen to Angela ramble for hours about the same subject, boredom never crossing his mind. How much sleep she was getting exactly, however...
Genji found her too often collapsed at her desk; glasses somehow tossed on the floor, papers and documents scattered across, and her tablet dangerously hanging off the edge. He quietly retrieved her readers and caught the tablet in time. He carefully placed a cushion under her cheek and draped a small blanket over her shoulders. It's the least Genji could do, he didn't want to disturb her workspace.
He believed that she always had wings, even without her field suit. But angels needed their rest, too.
"Take care of your own needs as you do for others," he told her. "Please don't leave yourself out."
"I know," she smiled genuinely. "I appreciate you looking out for me."
That evening she was wide awake and the moonlight complimented her pale blonde hair so beautifully, it seemed like tiny golden halos were escaping the loose ponytail. Genji called her ethereal to himself, even as she apologized about her smudged eyeliner and tired, weary smile – all evidence of long hours and few breaks. And the extra coffee probably wasn't the greatest idea. So, her picture-taking skills were a bit clumsy with shaking fingers until Genji held up the other end of the phone.
She waved at him through the screen and started the countdown for the photo timer, but Genji noticed some pie crumbs on her chin.
"Hold still, Angela...", he whispered, using the softest part of his pinky finger to swipe them away.
She laughed, "Quite the professional I am."
"...The best one I know."
She met his gaze, and suddenly Genji wished he didn't plan his return trip to Nepal to contemplate consciousness; a place so far away from the one he could never call home anymore, bearing witness to the great blanket of stars enveloping the snow upon the mountains.
Because at that moment, he fell in love with the entire universe in her eyes.
He entertained the idea briefly, and in his mind he saw Angela's worried expression as she'd approach him, unpacking his bag. Genji would say nothing but tuck a loose piece of her bang behind an ear – the one that would always fall unceremoniously in front of her right eye – he'd selfishly wanted to do that.
Maybe softly kiss her cheek; a quiet thank you for everything.
He'd have to write an extensive apology to Zenyatta, for the desire to stay a little longer with the amazing woman who saved his life...
But of course, he could not stay.
His spiritual path beckoned him to the Shambali once more.
And her hands were full already as an engineer and field medic for Overwatch.
As Genji finally caught himself staring at her after a bit too long, the both of them reluctantly glanced back at the phone screen and their bashful smiles.
Angela silently cradled his gentle hand in hers and nearly gave it a kiss – but she stopped herself.
The camera timer was about to run out.
"Make sure to write me a letter, Genji..."
No one could smile like her.
"I will not forget, Angela."
As beautiful as the Moon.
"...Danke schön."

Yeah Genji get off your soap box ya emo ninja you!
Planning out the scenes is difficult but fun C: Sometimes I have to adjust the dialogue a bit. This is fun I hope you're enjoying it as well! Also the text boxes are finicky... glad I'm going to get more practice in with them.

Fluffvember Day 8: Historical AU with Gency/Mercy x Genji IB: Rennaisance (Blake 7's Zine) & 'Interior with a Man Reading a Letter and a Woman Sewing' by Pieter de Hooch Themes: historical, renaissance era, unofficial relationship, valet/second-hand genji, servant/seamstress angela, mutual pining, flirting, dialogue heavy. Word count: 2277
It was late at night, with Angela's ears filled with the muffled music that played above her. Regardless of the Archdutchess O'Deorian's nightly festivities, she knew she had a job to do, and was intent on completing it without distractions. So, she continued focusing on her stitches, as she held the fabric on her lap and tuned into the melodic synthonies and the crackling of the fireplace that warmed her just enough.
Her hair was tied back into a hair nest, with a taped method keeping it together using a golden ribbon. Angela's hair was slightly frayed, with small pieces falling from it and emphasising truly how long she had already worked that night. And yet, she continued to as the orchestra began to play one of her favourite pieces - The Shoemaker's Wife, A Toy, P 58.
Angela continued working as the dampened music played on, with her hums in line with the melody. Something about this tune always made her mind race with fascination, and she couldn't stop herself from letting herself enjoy it to fulfilment. She was alone in this room right now, and her confidence had soared enough to indulge in this sweet, small pleasure.
Her hums slowly filled her mind and the room, with her shamelessly finding herself working at a faster and more focused pace. Angela's eyes were fixated on the piece, as her hair sculpted her face perfectly in the dim lighting of the fireplace. It crackled along with her, as the wooden slabs burned with what could be described as only delight. It was a breathtaking scene for her, as she found herself relaxing and easing more into her work. Once Angela was in the zone, it was almost impossible to bring her out of it or notice her surroundings - something the Archduke had scolded her for countless times, and yet never changed.
That's why, when the second hand for the Viscount stood in the doorway of the room, Angela never noticed. He had grown accustomed to her attention being needle point and slim - one task at a time was enough to enamour her with delight, he found out quickly through their friendship. But he just had to let her continue, and drink the view he was blessed with in this moment. The orange lighting hitting her pale skin, with her slender hands working attentively at the fabric in her lap; it was all so beautiful to him, and yet he would never tell her this. Simply, he thought it would be better to let her continue, and let himself photograph this moment in his mind for the future. So, he stood there with a smile on his face, until he determined enough time had passed.
‘Ahem’ he exclaimed, clearing his throat and grabbing the attention of the unexpecting woman infront of him. He was leaned against the doorframe now, with his arms crossed against his chest. Angela was left in a state of panic for a moment, her mind scattered as her body jumped at his sudden action. She should be used to this by now, and yet she wasn't. She never truly hated this, though, and found herself growing more fond of his antic with time.
Angela's eyes scattered across the room, before meeting his whilst she remained on her stool. All she could focus on was her beathing right now, as she calculated exactly what to say to the man infront of her, who had tormented her poor heart. A smile had started to stain her cheeks, as her free hand held her chest lightly.
“Pray, how many times must I bid thee cease this mischief, for thou dost startle me too much?” Angela stated, her humour sprinkled through each sentance. Her gaze was attentive on the man infront of her, who now was stood chuckling at her words with delight.
"Ah, but where would the fun be, sweet friend, if I did not give thee a little fright now and then?" He responded, his throat raspy and with a giggle interlaced with every other word. How he loved moments like this - simple in nature, and yet naturally easy to navigate with Angela. That's something he silently adored about her, and yet would never utter to her directly. For him, this was something to keep close to his heart. To quietly feel his heart grow more fond over.
Angela shook her head with a smile in response, before moving her attention back to her work. As much as she would love to indulge in this conversation, she knew she couldn't. He wasn't worth the wrath of her Archdutches.
"I would dearly love to engage in further conversation," she began, her smile remaining and her tone sarcastic to the man's ears, “but at this time, I must attend to other matters.” Angela sighed as she spoke, her tone disappating slightly the more her words fell from her lips. She felt herself sit there for a moment, her needle steady and yet motionless. It was as though her body was subconsciously waiting for a response from him, as though she couldn't continue in good faith without his reassurance. It was dreadful to her, but her heart wouldn't have it either way.
"Yet, if thou wishest, thou mayst take a seat and wait—my work shall not detain me for much longer, I hope." Angela found herself saying, her eyes drifting towards the second hand's shoes. Silence surrounded them as she began analysing his outfit more, waiting for his response.
His shoes were neat, polished, pristine. As always, she had noticed. As her eyes drifted upwards, she noticed his attire was… more formal than usual. Angela had seen him in every outfit by now - he often visited her when he could, with his Viscount and her Archdutchess having connections to one another. She had seen him in his farming, coach and travel, and butler attire. But never had she seen him so proper. It was jarring for her, as she sat on her stool in her ordinary clothes - a simple dress that covered her almost completely, with an apron that had now become stained with dyes from fabrics, with her basket of tools sat beside her. It was as though they were opposites right now, and she felt herself shrink into her appearance at that realisation.
As she watched him, he began to move from his position and bring himself closer, as he breathed softly in tune with the fireplace that continued to crack.
"Ha! Those words I've heard before, good friend. But while thou workest, pray look upon what I've brought..." He responded, with Angela's eyes shooting him daggers as he moved. She was used to his biting tongue, and always made sure to match it perfectly in these moments.
"Peace, peace! Show me this treasure before thy tongue runs further, Shimada."
As her mind stirred for a response, she watched him begin to move quicker to his ‘claimed’ seat - a stool that rests beside the fireplace, in safe keepings for him to use when he visits. Angela had managed to convince one of the butlers to let her use it, as a spare, ‘just incase’. Though, she refuses to admit this to the man that now found himself sat infront of her, rummaging through his pockets.
Angela would've used this time wisely; to continue her work without his interuptions. But, her curiosity was eating at her mind. It was as though it had infected her, and she couldn't bring herself away from the man sat infront of her right now. How easily she could be brought to this point was worthy of being studied, she thought, as she watched him continue looking for this something with her hands idle.
It was as though a bulb had lit in his mind, as his hands stopped frantically searching and finally found the piece of paper he desperately wanted for this moment. A smile grew on his face, as he positioned himself forward and brought out what appeared to be a piece of paper that had been folded over, and over again. Angela's eyes were fixated on it, as Shimada unwrapped it in his hands, smile remaining and his eyes glinting with something.
"'Tis Master Shimada now, mark thee!" he began, as his hands had finally unfolded the paper fully. Angela noticed it was a letter, and her eyes remained attentive to him as he breathed in deeply, preparing to read it. Confusion had began to unwind in her at his words, but by the look on the second hand's face, her questions would soon be answered now.
“To my most trusted servant and steadfast companion, Genji Shimada,” he began, briefly looking up to Angela to make sure she was paying attention, before carrying on.
“It is with great pleasure and deepest consideration that I, Viscount Jack Morrison of Watchsworth, do hereby elevate thee to the position of Master Steward of mine household and estates.” he continued, his excitement shining through his words as he spoke. Angela gasped, her hands moving to her mouth and holding herself in that moment. They concealed a bright smile underneath, with her eyes wide and pressing to learn more from Genji. It took all her strength not to interrupt him, and to let him continue reading this bountiful letter.
“Thy years of unwavering loyalty, keen wit, and distinguished service have proven thee worthy beyond measure. Not only hast thou shown exceptional skill in matters of estate management and accounts, but thy swift thinking saved our household from ruin during last autumn's grain shortage. Thy diplomatic handling of the merchant guilds' disputes hath brought honor to our name, and thy discretion in all matters, both great and small, hath earned thee this title ten times over.”
“My heart soars to see thy worth so rightly acknowledged at last-”
"Oh, come now! Just a moment of hush, if you please! I promise the best part is still to come!" he hushed, as he let the moment stir a moment. His heart raced at her quick appreciation and admiration for him, but he had to continue. There was more to share, and he was sure she would be shocked to hear everything else in this letter.
"Therefore, from this day forth, thou shalt be known as Master Shimada, with all rights and privileges thereof. Thy new chambers shall be prepared in the east wing, and thy yearly stipend shall be increased accordingly.I trust thou shalt continue to serve with the same excellence that hath marked thy tenure thus far.
Given under mine own hand and seal, This twenty-fifth day of April, in the Year of Our Lord 1678.Jack Morrison Viscount of Watchsworth
Post scriptum: Genji, my friend, I expect thou art reading this with that subtle smile of thine. Come see me in my study when thou art done showing off to whoever thou art reading this to – we have much to discuss over that bottle of French wine thou art so fond of."
He carefully read the rest, and finally lowered the letter and looked back up to Angela. Her hands were laid across her chest now, with her smile beaming across from him. How her happiness was emphasised by the glow from the fireplace had Genji in a trance, as he observed her reaction completely.
Before he could respond though, she began to place her work to the side, and moved her hands ontop of his. Angela rested them there for a moment, bringing Genji closer to her physically in that moment. Her heart raced at the contact, with her mind clouding and her judgement telling her to do more, show how pleased she is further. And yet, she could only bring herself this far, with Genji's cheeks deepening into a shade of crimson at her actions. Finally, the outfit made sense, and his intrusion at this late hour when the Archdutchess' party carried on upstairs was justified.
Genji's heart thumped with delight, as his mind wandered through the possibilities of what she could say. When he received this letter, all he wanted to do was show her, see her reaction, and engulf himself in the warmth of her praise. Throughout all of his endevours with the Viscount, he had always brought himself back to her comforting, accepting and helpful presence. It finally paid off, and he wanted nothing more but to stay in this moment with her and let himself imagine what could be…
"Thou hast earned this triumph, and I am filled with joy at thy success!" she began, as she watched the blush continue to grow on Genji's cheeks.
"Truly, thou art most deserving of this honor. My heart doth rejoice to share in this blessed moment with thee—thank thee for letting me partake in thy happiness." she smiled as she spoke, the hands holding his squeezing them gently with her words. It was grounding for Genji, and brought him back from his imagination and straight to her. The emotions were overwhelming in this moment, as he felt his eyes water slightly, and his heart pound ferociously in his chest.
He smiled warmly back to her, moving his hands to hold hers in return and squeezing them just as much. Even though they were calloused, Angela found herself desperate to keep his hands there, to refuse to let them leave for a reason unbeknownst to her. And Genji found himself thankful he had chosen her as the first person to share the good news with, as they lingered in this moment of joy with their feelings growing slowly, steadily and silently for one another.

Fanfic Dream????
I had a dream last night of this fanfic I was reading. It was published in 2021 and stated it was completed with 2/2 chapters. Published on AO3
To be fair, it could have been a Fairy Tail (NaLu) or Overwatch (Gency) since that is what I have been reading lately.
I remember the first chapter being really good and left on a cliffhanger. I pressed "Next Chapter" eager to read the next chapter and...all I found was a note from the author saying that due to lack of interaction, they wouldn't continue it.
When I looked at the kudos and comments, there had only been a max of 10 kudos and no comments. I was incensed! How could this be!
To make matters worse, though...I could not say I left a review cause I don't remember if it was an actual dream or if I actually read the fic and fell asleep!
Moral of the story: Show your love by giving a review. The writer will be overjoyed, and maybe this nightmare won't happen as much!

November 9th
Fanfiction/Original Fiction
First created: Oct 31st 2023
Last updated: November 1st 2023
General Premise: just a small thing in progress of an overall idea of blitz having a child with a certain previous lover, and their adventures, just have some info on a few of the recent episodes so spoilers ahead.
Other notes: I do plan to continue it, just been a bit busy lately.
“Just take it away, Tex!” The tired and upset succubus shouted to her hellhound, as she cried in a mixture of anguish and hate.
“Her, where? Take her where?” The newly hired Tex asked sheepishly looking down at the newborn halfbreed in his arms.
“Just put it in a dumpster fire, or whatever, I don’t care!” The succubus who just had said child yelled.
Tex frowned seeing that she did care but she was too consumed with hatred for her ex to care for his child. “Alright I’ll let you rest and I’ll be back later,” Tex replied solemnly being waved off before he took his leave through the back door of the old Venue.
Once outside He held the small girl in one arm and pulled out his phone with the other, He soon texted his girlfriend, telling her to meet him right there because it was an emergency.
Soon a large yellow portal appeared and out stepped the queen of the Gluttuny ring Beelezebub or Bee for short. “Tex what’s wrong You said it was an emer-...gency…oh my.” Bee started before spotting the child and looking at Tex in shock. “Is that…hers?” She asked quietly getting a nod in return.
“She hates the father too much to see her as an individual, and I can't just…let her die…Bee…I don’t know what to do…” Tex replied adjusting the baby as she started to fuss.
Bee stepped forward taking the baby girl into her arms and cradling her to her chest gaining a happy baby sigh from the child. “I think…I think I’ll raise her. Will you help me?”Bee asked looking up to Tex hopeful. Though she could do so on her own if need be, he was her boyfriend so extended the offer.
“I…I would love that, thank you, Bee. I won't say anything to her mother, and she’ll have a life that she wouldn’t otherwise.” Tex replied happy enough to wag his tail excitedly.
Bee giggled at him before looking back down at the girl in her arms. “Good, I know you’ll work a lot and I have my duties but she will be cared for, now before I take her home, what should her name be? It's summer time so maybe something in that realm?” Bee asked trying to think of options.
“Right um, it’s june now, and hellishly hot in the human world in most places, hmm. I think her last should be June at the least, considering teh theme of her mother's being Mayday.” Tex replied before frowning at the fact that the mother would have nothing to do with her only child.
“I think thats an excellent Idea, might even bite her mother in ass later in life, now what to go with June, what do you think sweetie, you mommy is so evil for letting yo go…and oh I got it.” Bee said after taking to the baby cutely. Tex tilted his head in question.
“Evil in June, Evelynn June, play on words, what do you think?” Bee asked excitedly. “Oh that rolls nicely off the tongue, I like it, Evelyn June, Okay. Well I should let you head home.” Tex replied. Bee nodded and they gave their kisses goodbye before Bee returned to her ring with the new baby.
----
12 years later.
“I’m sorry June Bug. but he wasn’t in the right head space and had to be taken home, If I had realized that was who pup’s dad was I would have called you down.” Queen Bee said down to the young preteen.
“It’s okay Miss Bee, I wouldn’t have known how to approach him with everything going on, but if you invite Miss Loona again, I could maybe meet her, as… well my sister and all.” Evelyn replied at leats happy to know she had a sister now.
“Oh yeah totally kiddo, next time I let her know I’ll make sure you too can meet properly.” Tex replied with a grin before his phone went off with a notification from his boss. “Thank you Mr. Tex, I appreciate it.” She said happily, only frowning slightly when the notification came.
“Welp, that’s my cue, see ya later girlies.” Tex said kissing Bee and hugging Evelyn before heading out. It wa slate in the night and most of the party goers were gone and home, the few behind worked along staff to help clean up the venue.
Evelyn picked up some dishes to put them in a nearby cart to do her part in helping. Bee looked around sadly never liking when the party was over but always happy to have a clean venue ready for teh next one.
“I think you’ll like your sister, she seems nice, stands up for herself but knows when to back down, and her style is just on point.” Bee explained flying around Evelyn as she helped clean up.
“Oh cool, Yeah I hope I give a good impression.” Evelyn replied with a nervous smile. “Oh you will do just fine my little June bug, Now let us leave the rest to the staff and get up to bed, got a lot of shopping to do tomorrow.” Bee said excitedly while ushering Evelyn up the stairs to their rooms. “Of course Miss Bee.” Evelyn replied simply.
--- a few weeks later ---
The Greed ring was a complete and utter shit hole, but unfortunetly had a few choice products that could not be gotten anywhere but the ring of green. Evelyn pulled her hood up more as she carefully and quickly went too to get the list of items, if she kept to the shadows she usually could stay out of trouble.
Today was no different even though she did almost get ran over by the greed ring’s number one star Fizzerolli. Her and many others watched on as he skated past pulled by a small legion of gieves. Usually she would just shake her head and move along but then she heard a voice, and one she had found out to be the father that wasn’t told about her, Blitzo.
She quickly followed and hid im a nearby alleyway hearing the conversation between to two. She found out they knew each other from before but couldn’t figure out much else as they started to brawl in the middle of the street. Some time after the crowd formed around the two and long rope from a nearby building came down and took them away.
As the crowd left Evelyn tried to see where they were taken but couldn’t figure out where, so with know other choice she went on her way. Some time after she returned home to the Gluttony ring she found out through social media they both returned home relatively unscathed.
She had gotten a ticket to the yearly pageant to see if she could Talk to Fizzerolli about how he knew Blitzo. That would be the following week, so she had time to get ready.
--- at the pageant ---
She couldn’t believe her eyes when she spotted both of them on the red carpet, apparently Blitzo was security on Ozzie’s request. Upon getting closer and listening in there seemed to be tension, from not only one of teh new acts but from something inside Fizz. Evelyn ended up watching the show, when the meet and greets started, she forked over her sizable allowance and went to see Fizz. She got to witness a cute exchange between him and a young deaf child before a new shitshow started. Blitzo came to the rescue again but the proceedings that followed ended the meet and greet before she could meet Fizz.
She got to see the Glam sisters performance and the epic quit session by fizz. She sent a message to Bee conforming the rumored relationship just as everyone else jumped on social media. Bee expressed happiness for her fellow sin, and Evelyn was happy for them too.
Getting out of the messy and crowded concert hall was a special kind of hell, but she did get to meet the deaf kid that talked to Fizz. Learning Sign earlier in her life helped her converse with the child as she walked him to his home in the slums of greed.
It was on the way that things got dicey.

Ok, finally getting around to this, sorry it took so long!
Three Ships;
1. Kirisuna
Yes, I'm aware the base canon is shit, but this ship and percabeth fundamentally altered my brain chemistry the same way being forced to watch so many barbie movies left with an irrevocable love of the soulmates trope, except it's battle couples this time and I'll actually read fanfiction for them.
2. Nitewrighter's Gency fankid Rei with their Moira fankid Aedan.
I love these two dorks so much. Nite's a great writer, but she really knocked it out of the park with these two. It's enemies to lovers in one of the best way possible becauase the only thing saying they should be enemies is the fact they were born on opposite sides of a war that's been raging for decades now, and that neither side's parents really hates* their kid's SO for being born on the other side of their war. (Mercy's reasoning while a little rude considering children shouldn't be blamed for their parents' sins, are also a little valid considering his mother started the entire war in the first place imho.)
3. Dimarianne.
AAAAGH. I've not finished Azure Moon yet nor have I gotten their A-support yet but I'm sure I will soon, but these two are absolutely amazing together. Two ultimately kind people who've been dealt a SHIT hand in life finding each other and helping each that they are more then the traumas they've been through in life and eventually healing together is *chef's fucking kiss* man. They're both certain they're monsters wearing human skin, but know for a fact that the other isn't and they help each other realize that, I love it.
First Ever Ship: Percabeth
As mentioned before, this ship shaped my preferences for ships in a fundamental way growing up. Percy and Annabeth are great together, y'all can fight me on that.
Last Song:
Derivakat's Nightmare is a bop and a half.
Last Movie:
Men In Black: International was rather meh to be honest. It wasn't a bad movie, but it also wasn't a good movie either. Overall a 6.8/10.
Currently Reading:
Gideon the Ninth at @smolviolin's recommendation. Only gotten to the First House so far, but I'm looking forward to how things go and how the hell Griddlehark gets together, because these two are like alkali metals and water.
Currently Watching:
Leverage, Critical Role campaigns 2 & 3, JRWI Riptide.
Currently Eating:
Nothing!
Currently Craving:
Graham crackers and a cup of milk, sue me.

Three Ships:
1. Whatever the hell Cam + Pal/Paul have going on-- I need to stress that this isn't a romantic ship. Camilla carried Palamedes' soul inside her even as it corroded her and now they've both given themselves up to make a new person because neither could stand to lose the other. The notebook. The tape recorder. "Life is too short and love is too long." "Go loud."
2. Gency-- Girlboss and Malewife with hearty helpings of whump and fluff, as well as discussions about personal growth. I've written entirely too much fic about them not to include them. Also it's nice seeing all the little references to their shippy stuff with the Valentine's event going on :)
3. Fitzcrozier-- What if our ships were stranded in ice trying to find the northwest passage and we were slowly being picked off one by one by a polar bear monster with a semi-human face and we were all slowly dying of lead poisoning from tainted food and we initially couldn't stand each other but we're gradually gaining a profound respect and affection towards each other as it becomes increasingly clear we won't make it back home... and we're both men?
First Ever Ship: I'd say the first ship that really felt like ~my~ ship was Saya and Hagi from Blood+. That ship had everything: Vampires, bodyguard dynamics, devotion, asymmetrical character development over an absurdly long period of time, weird almost insect-like biological imperatives influencing said devotion, a death pact... It's honestly shocking to me that Blood+ didn't have that much of an impact because it was everything to me.
Last Song: Delta by C2C
Last Movie: Oh god it was this really underwhelming super macho drama/thriller thing directed by Russell Crowe--Poker Face. Not nearly as good as the TV show Poker Face. You know what I'm just going to say "Tampopo" instead because that one was way better.
Currently Reading: Oh gosh a whole bunch of stuff. "How to Invent Everything" by Ryan North, "The Secret History" by Donna Tartt, this steampunk short story anthology, "The Tao of Jeet Kune Do" by Bruce Lee....The worst part about working at a library is you get Book WIP syndrome and the only thing that really forces you to try and finish books in a timely manner is the waiting list.
Currently Watching: The Last of Us on HBO, The Lost Kitchen, cooking videos on youtube.
Currently consuming: Black tea with cream and sugar and toasted Irish brown bread with looooads of butter!
Currently craving: A Geisha's kiss Sushirrito and to ride a train for at least 4 hours, if not take a 5-day long train journey. I need to be on a train like Ishmael needs to be at sea or else we'll both start knocking people's hats off.

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS - WHO AM I TO DISAGREE (~‾▿‾)~ - Sorry LMAO A continuation of my Warm Welcome fics (NSFW) - I kind of wanted to explore how Genji and Mercy met in this AU
Thank you Muffy for betaing for me! ^^
Enjoy!
When Genji opened his eyes, his memories of what had happened flooded back to him. He lay in the grass. It was raining, a light drizzle, but it was enough for him to have been soaked.
He felt something warm on his back. When he tried to sit up, he only felt how his muscles ached with every move. It was like his body had a huge weight on him that he struggled with. With as much effort as he could, he pulled himself up on to his knees. The cold mud below him made it hard for him to keep his balance, making him nearly slip back on his face. His hand reached behind him to where the warmth was coming from. He looked at his hand, seeing dark red covering his fingers. It was then that his body felt the pain of the giant wound on his back. The stinging did not get any better despite how much he thought he could wait it out. He hissed in pain, screaming for nothing. As Genji lay in the mud, defeated and injured, he remembered the new look on his brothers face. What had he done? How could he do this to him? His own brother? No, that wasn't his brother. That wasn't Hanzo at all. Hanzo wasn't a greedy bastard who had sold his soul. He did not have horns and joyless white eyes. He would not have tried to kill him. That thing was not his brother.
Genji waited for death. Tears sprang from his eyes and into the ground. He didn't understand any of this, and he figured it would be too late. No one would find him soon enough for the bleeding to stop, and he could already feel himself grow cold. He felt his eyes grow weary as the darkness beckoned to him for his final sleep.
“Oh, meine liebste, you're not just going to give up yet are you?” A voice above him said.
He couldn't properly make it out. He looked up frantically, but his vision was already darkening. He felt like he couldn't even see.
The voice tutted. He heard it kneeling by him. Suddenly, he felt a warmth. Such a soothing warmth, like a gentle embrace. The pain of his wounds had suddenly stopped, and he no longer felt cold. It was like the rain had stopped completely. The weight lifted off his body, and he felt better than he ever had in years. What was happening? Had an angel come to his rescue?
His vision returning, he looked up at his savior. He was wrong.
That wasn't an angel at all. The face looking down at him belonged to a beautiful woman, but she had a devious grin on her face and two large horns coming from her head. Her lips were a bright red color, and her eyes were like amethysts that sparkled as she smiled. Still, he could not look past the dragon-like tail and the wings on her back. The fangs from her grin were off putting enough. Despite her beauty, he could sense something terrifying about her.
“What are you…?” Genji managed out.
“Is that anyway to greet your rescuer?” The woman asked, tilting her head.
“What did you do to me?”
“I just healed you. That's all.”
Genji got on his knees, feeling himself able to walk again, or move in general.
“I don't understand.” He looked at her sternly. “You...you look like my-...the thing that replaced my brother.”
The woman’s expression showed interested. “Oh? Is that so? What did...this thing look like?”
Genji knew better than to start getting angry and making threats at someone like that without a weapon. But he didn't care.
“Horns. Grey skin. Eyes with no feeling at all.” He hissed. “Was it you? Was it you who tainted him?!”
The woman laughed at him. “I just saved your life. Do you think I'd do that if I really gave your brother a makeover?”
Genji grew silent.
She then approached him slowly. “Although...you could be due for one.” A grin spread on her face as she looked him up and down.
“Not too much of course. You're much too handsome already.” She purred
“I will not turn into him.”
She tilted her head, and got close to him.
“How about we make a deal?”
Genji raised an eyebrow at her.
“You want to save your brother? To bring him back, right? She smiled.
He nodded in response.
The woman traced her hand on his shoulder. Genji eyed her warily, then took her hand off him.
“Work for me, and I'll find who made your brother the way he is.” She offered.
“And if I don't? Will you kill me in the end?”
She giggled and shook her head. “No, of course not. I saved you on a whim! You can keep your healed body. I’ll leave you alone.”
She then started to walk off, her tail swaying back and forth. Her head turned to him.
“But, if you decide you really want to get your brother back…I'll be waiting.”
Genji bit his lip in thought. He wasn't sure what to do. His family was gone, and he had nothing to his name. All he had now was Hanzo, and he wasn't even sure if that really was still Hanzo in there.
He looked up, seeing her far away by now. He sped up to her, stopping just in front to block her path.
“Fine.”
Her face turned into an excited grin.
“Excellent! I haven't had a servant in such a long time!”
Genji looked at her. “What are the terms then of being a 'servant’ to you?”
She scoffed. “You're not my slave or anything. Consider it like this - you get about half of my powers. Except the healing of course. That's...different.”
Genji raised an eyebrow.
“All you have to do is my bidding. In return, I will find who it is that corrupted your brother. Whoever did it will be able to turn him back.”
“What constitutes as your bidding?”
“Oh, finding my enemies. Sending my messages. Making sure that pumpkin head does his work for once...and scaring the local villagers I suppose.” She observed her shiny red nails, fresh from a manicure.
Who the heck was “that pumpkin head”?
“I refuse to become my brother. I will not kill any innocents.” He stated.
“I never said you would be.” She replied. “And you won't be. I promise.” She smiled prettily at him.
“One last thing. You having my powers...you're going to look different. Not too different, we have to preserve that handsome face of yours.” She chuckled.
“Do we have a deal?” She asked, holding a gloved hand out.
“How do I know you're not lying?” He glared at her.
The woman placed her hands on her hips, her tail twisting around while she was in thought.
“Here,” she said. She unzipped part of her top, exposing the middle of her chest to him. She then summoned a glowing, blue blade in her hand, handing it to him.
“What…?”
“Mark me.” She said. The demoness pointed to the area right where her heart would be. “Don't worry. It's not going to hurt me.”
He was hesitant, but he went ahead and made a small X on her chest. Only a little blood dripped down, but the mark was suddenly healed leaving only a bright red scar.
“While you are working for me, if I ever betray you - your mark will burn me.”
Genji glanced at the mark. The brightness of it was enough to convince him. He looked down before finally looking into her amethyst eyes.
“Deal.”
“Great!” She exclaimed, zipping her clothing back up.
“How does this work then?”
“Like this,” she moved toward him and kissed him deeply. Her kiss was rough, but sweet at the same time. She cupped his face, running her hand down his shoulders.
Genji felt himself getting weak. His body felt heavy again, and his head felt light. He was enamoured by the kiss. He had kissed many women in the past, but this kiss was intoxicating. All too quickly, he felt himself slip into a sleep.
Genji awoke again. All he saw was a red ceiling. Had he dreamt all of this? Was he in his room again?
“Ah, you're awake.” A familiar voice called. It was the woman again.
Genji sat up, feeling a bit sore.
“Oh, wow, this is a really good look for you.” She grinned.
“W-what?”
“Take a look,” she summoned a mirror to her hands, holding it up for him to see.
Genji couldn't believe what he was seeing. His skin was now grey, with red markings on his face. He had two small horns protruding from his forehead. His eyes were red now, and his hair was pure black again.
The look shocked him. It maybe even scared him.
“I-is this permanent…?” He bit his lip. It was then he noticed a the fangs in his mouth.
“Well,” She sighed. “For now. Once our contract is over - you’ll look just the way you used to when you were born.”
Genji breathed a sigh of relief. This form was only temporary, giving him even more of a drive.
The woman in red sat next to him. “I never did introduce myself did I?”
“My name is Angela,” she smiled.
“Angela?” Genji raised an eyebrow. “You don't look like an angel.”
Angela narrowed her eyes. The female demon’s lips twitched, as if she stopped the words she wanted to let out of instinct from escaping. “...And you are..?.”
“My name is Genji.” he continued.
“Hm,” Angela smirked, observing him. “I think I'm going to like this deal of ours.”
Genji was still unsure of himself, but he would go to lengths if it meant saving his brother. If Angela truly was going to help him, then he figured to keep his end of the deal, finishing his tasks for her as quick as possible.
“I guess we should get started then, yes?” She looked up at him.

Heart Skips- Part Three
This one is a little bit shorter, I was really busy this week and sadly didn't have as much time to write. But don't worry, there is more to come next week! ❤️ Evelyn~ The post-mission checkups couldn’t have finished up sooner for Angela. She twirled around her office, her whole body filled with giddy energy while she hummed a sweet and sappy love song under her breath. She sat down at her desk with a sigh and could feel the heat growing in her face as she remembered her kiss with Genji. Angela had dreamed about what it would be like for him to love her, however she had always been so wrapped up in her work that she was never able to pursue anything other than her own imagination along with the occasional glance at her handsome colleague. They had been friends ever since she had rescued him and helped nurse him back to health, and though she did know a lot about him, Angela wished she actually knew him better as a person. Finally it seemed as if her little crush might be a reality, and she could feel her heart skipping with excitement and anticipation! Angela could still feel his soft lips and strong touch as he had scooped her into him, and she hoped that feeling would linger until the next time she saw him. Come to think of it, what would happen next time she saw him? She had been so nervous about seeing him today, but after all that had happened earlier it wouldn’t be so scary. Maybe he would hold her close again, close enough for her to feel his heart beating against her…. The lights in the room flickered, Angela losing her train of thought and looking up from her desk in surprise. She stood up and began walking towards her computer when everything went dark. “Athena, status report please.” she waited, but there was no reply. Angela began to feel her way to the edge of the room, her hands searching for the switch on the wall that would turn on the backup power generator. She felt the the switch and pushed it, the sound of the backup generator beginning to buzz in the background. The lights flickered again and the room lit up, “Ah, there we go!” Angela turned around, a pair of purple eyes smiling dangerously at her. “Ahh!” Angela jumped back in surprise, Sombra standing in front of her, one hand on her hip. The Talon agent smiled deviously and laughed at her, clearly pleased with her reaction. “Hey there.” She took a step closer to her, gun pointed directly at her head. Sombra opened her mouth to speak, but Angela dove towards her desk desperately reaching for her blaster. Sombra was too fast as she jumped back and knocked the blaster across the room, “Not so fast!” she laughed, and struck Angela across her face with the butt of her gun, kicking her as she fell to the ground. She laughed as Angela glared up at her before she backed up towards the computer. Purple light stretched out of Sombra's fingertips and towards the system, the computer opening up and files beginning to appear on the screen. “Don’t mind me,” she sneered at Angela before her other hand reached up towards her earpiece, “Initiating hack, I’ll be done in just another minute.” There was a voice on the other side, but Angela couldn’t tell who it was or what they were saying. She climbed onto her hands and knees, her head spinning and pulsing from the pain, reaching up and put her hand on the edge of her desk. Before she could pull herself more than a couple inches off the ground, Sombra sent her flailing back to the floor with another swift kick, this time hitting against her collar bone and knocking the air from her body. Angela moaned in pain as she rolled on to her side, when she caught a glimpse of her Caduceus staff leaning against her desk. Slowly she dragged herself across the floor, her fingers reaching out to touch the bottom of the staff. Grabbing the end, she pulled it towards herself, catching the staff in the middle as it tipped over and fell towards her. She swung the staff as hard as she could, hitting Sombra in the back of the knees and sending her face first into the computer desk. Sombra quickly jumped to her feet and spun to face Angela, pinning her down on the ground with her foot and aiming her gun. Angela aimed her staff carefully and threw it, sending it spiraling past Sombra before crashing violently into the computer system, bits of glass and electricity fraying the air with a sharp crackle, the screen flickering out. Sombra’s foot dug into her chest, and she turned back to look at Angela, a look of hate and anger in her eyes. “Arrrhhhh!” Sombra lunged at Angela's face, her nails cutting into her temple and across her forehead, then reaching back up and cocking her gun. Angela's sight filled in with black and a ringing ricocheted in her ears, the feeling of fire tearing through her side and abdomen, her head falling backwards and hitting the ground. Her body felt cool and her limbs refused to respond, and slowly she slipped out of consciousness. Genji sprinted down towards the broken door, “Angela!” he practically screamed her name as he jumped over the broken door and into the medical wing. He looked around the room, seeing the broken computer with Angela's Caduceus staff still sticking out of the middle. “That's probably what triggered the alarm and made the medical wing go into lock down.” Genji thought to himself, his eyes still darting around the room for any sign of the doctor. He walked deeper into the room, glancing behind the exam table, a deep red shining off the floor up at him. Angela lay on the floor unconscious, blood dripping down the gashes on her forehead, and an eerily steady stream pouring from her abdomen, pooling around her limp body. “Angela!” Genji ran to her side, looking down at her injuries, panic surging through him, “Hanzo! Hanzo go get Ana! Please, Angela needs help!” Hanzo, who had been watching his brother from the doorway and though not able to see Angela, grew pale and nodded before running off down the hall to get help. Genji took his shirt off and placed it on her abdomen, leaning into her open wounds in an attempt to stop the bleeding. “Angela, everything is okay I am here with you, I won't let anything else happen to you.” His voice was shaky and he trembled in fear and disbelief. Only an hour ago he had been here, holding her close to him for the very first time. Looking down at her pale face he felt his breath quicken and had to force himself to calm down. Several long and seemingly endless minutes passed while Genji waited for help, keeping a watchful eye on the door. Finally, Hanzo rushed through the door, Ana immediately running past him and over to Genji's side. “Thank you Genji, now please step back.” Ana said while slipping down beside Angela, moving Genji's shirt away, and lifting what remained of Angela's tattered shirt off of the wound. Carefully examining the ripped and burned flesh Ana took a vial from her belt and opened it up, pouring the contents over the wound, the golden liquid mixing with the red blood that pooled in the deepness of the bullet holes. Angela let out a pain filled moan and stirred briefly, Ana reaching up and tenderly stroking her blood dried hair. “I'm sorry about the pain Habībti, but we need to get you patched up.” she examined the wound once more, and stood up, “One of you, be helpful and pick her up and follow me.” Genji jumped forward, and slowly leaned down, picking Angela up gently and cradling her in his arms before following Ana towards the back of the room where the intensive and emergency care area was. Ana motioned to a bed and Genji laid her down carefully, Angela letting out another small painful cry. “Now, do either of you know what happened?” Ana asked, opening up containers, bandages, and whatever else she felt was needed. “Sombra.” Genji hissed between his teeth, “Sombra must have broken in here, I saw her in the hallway after the alarm went off. She was running.” Ana grunted in discontent, “You must head back to the others, Jack and Winston need a report immediately. Tell them I have her in a stable condition and not to worry. I would appreciate it if someone came to repair the computer system immediately.” Hanzo nodded, bowing slightly before turning to leave, stopping to wait for Genji. “I do not wish to leave her side, Captain Amari.” Ana looked up, slightly displeased. “Mr. Shimada, I did not ask you what you wish. I will take care of her here, or do you not trust my medical expertise and Dr. Ziegler's own biotic technology, though it saved your life?” “No, Captain Amari, I did not mean any disrespect, nor do I doubt your capabilities.” Genji bowed and turned to follow his brother out of the room. He didn't want to leave her, especially like this. All he could think about was her pale face twisted in pain, and the bloody mess he so desperately wished he could take away. But there was nothing he could do.
