gemma rolled her eyes - honestly, the murders were at least something exciting happening in their boring, upscale school. "okay, okay," gemma laughed, hooking her arm around madeline's waist, a smile wide on her face. "a night of normalcy - does that mean something better to drink, or finding a cute boy to go home with?" her eyes darted around the party - so long as it wasn't who she wanted to go home with, gemma could be supportive. "or maybe we just dance our troubles away - what do you think?"
open â anyone! muse â madeline bates, 25, film studies major. plotâ character inspired by the 1998 film, urban legend. ( see x for further backstory on muse )
â can we talk about something else? â she thought that attending a party off campus would take her mind off of the murders, and help her relax her mind a little bit. light hues dart over to the other, studying them for a moment before her attention falls back on the lively party surrounding them, watching as everyone else continues to have the time of their lives. not knowing what was happening just a few short blocks away. a sigh falls from her lips as she sits up in her seat, fingers curling around the glass in her hand, while her other curls into a first at her side, trying to stop the anxious tremors from taking flight again.â i just want one night of normalcy. is that too much to ask? âÂ

August 5, 2024
Gemma and Macklin followed Adam into a Michigan Hockey Rink where Adam had been training the past few weeks and last off season as well. Also where Gemma knows Luke trains too so she is happy she will get to see him.
Gemma invited Macklin to come spend time with her and her family in Michigan and to train together before the season starts.
Gemma and Macklin both set their hockey bags down and one of the equipment workers took the bags to the locker room.
Adam went around and introduced Gemma and Macklin to a few people they found walking around and they walked into the locker room and Gemma beamed seeing Luke.
âLuke!â Gemma beamed as she softly called out and Luke turned away from his brothers smiling as he saw Gemma and immediately pulled her into a hug.
âHey Emmie.â Luke softly spoke to his newest teammate. Luke was ecstatic when Gemma was drafted to the New Jersey Devils.
Quinn and Jack shared an excited look as they will finally get to meet the girl that Luke seems to care for a lot and sees as a little sister.
Jack had immediately gotten Gemmaâs number from Luke when she got drafted to the Devils and he already texted her quite a bit. He knows first hand how much pressure it is to he the first overall pick and he wants to make sure his teammate enjoys her year.
âEmmie this is Jack and Quinn!â Luke kept an arm over her shoulder as he introduced her to his brothers.
âHi.â Gemma sweetly and shyly smiled at the two. She has heard a lot about them from Luke.
Luke could see Jackâs entire face soften and Quinnâs eyes soften at Gemma and Luke smirked not surprised as Gemma is just adorable and easy to love.
âItâs nice to finally meet you Gemma!â Jack beamed and hugged Gemma softly. Gemma giggled softly and hugged Jack back.
âNice to meet you too Jack.â Gemma sweetly said back and she has texted quite a bit with Hack since the draft so was excited to finally meet him.
âHello Gemma.â Quinn kindly and gently spoke to the young girl and she gently shook Quinnâs hand that he has outstretched.
Gemma smiled happily, âHi!â
Jack and Quinn shared a look completely understanding how Luke adores Gemma. She is so adorable and they knew she would absolutely become incredibly important to them just as she is already to Luke.
âHey Mack.â Luke greeted Gemmaâs boyfriend. Luke gave a Macklin a smile and introduced him to Jack and Quinn as well.
âHi!â Macklin smiled back he was smiling as he watched Gemma interact with Luke knowing how Gemma looks up to Luke and itâs always sweet to see. He sent a quick smile to Quinn and Jack as well.
âHey Mo.â Luke greeted his friend with a handshake.
âHey Lukey.â Adam smiled at his friend as his eyes were incredibly soft seeing Gemma with Luke and he knew Gemma was gonna be in good hands with Luke and now Jack in New Jersey.
Jack stole Gemma from Luke and wrapped an arm around her shoulder and started yapping and Gemma was completely listening and nodding along happily as Jack led them away from the group.
Quinn let out a fond laugh shaking his head seeing that Jack seems to find someone who would listen to all his rambles.
Luke just shook his head fondly knowing that one Gemma met Jack that Jack would immediately love her. He couldnât wait for the rest of the Devils to meet her soon.
Macklin and Adam shared a relieved look seeing Gemma just immediately get along with Jack and Quinn not that they at surprised but both are glad she got along with Jack especially as she is joining the same team as Jack soon and she will have more friends there when she joins.

UK Christmas TV 2020: Your Guide to This Yearâs Festive Specials
https://ift.tt/370S3Dq
If youâre the kind of person who tuts at pre-December Christmas trees and moans about supermarkets simultaneously stocking mince pies and Halloween goodies (donât cross the streams!) then look away now, thereâs nothing for you here.
If, however, youâre the sort of person whoâs gasping for end-of-year cheer like itâs the last bottle of Evian in a hot, empty desert, then step this way. Weâve collected up all the festive TV specials airing in the UK over Christmas 2020, so you can start mentally circling the ones in your personal schedule.
It being early, there are still announcements to be made, so check back here for updates. Ditto for official air dates and times, which are thin on the ground until the channels lock in their schedules. Weâll pop back and add those in as theyâre confirmed.
Starting with our top five picks, hereâs a list of everything on the wayâŠ
TOP FIVE PICKS
1. Doctor Who: Revolution of the Daleks
Companions Yaz, Graham and Ryan stumble upon a Dalek threat on Earth while the Doctorâs far away and locked up in space prison. How do you fight the Daleks without the Doctor? With the help of an old friend⊠Festive special âRevolution of the Daleksâ is written by Chris Chibnall and directed by âSpyfall Part 2â director Lee Haven Jones.
Air date: TBC
2. Ghosts: Christmas Special
The Ghosts Christmas special is so good, there should be a new one every year. Itâs Christmas in Button House and Mike is determined to give his visiting family the perfect Christmas, if theyâll let him. And if his other family â the houseful of historical ghosts only wife Alison can see and hear â behave. 1990s MP Julian is the Ebenezer Scrooge in need of a lesson on the true meaning of Christmas in this terrific family comedy.
Air date: TBC
3. Taskmaster: Christmas Special
We donât yet know the identities of the five contestants competing in the very first Taskmaster festive special, but we know that they are all brand new to the 10-series comedy, and have been described as âexperts in their respective fieldsâ⊠Fingers crossed for Christmas-themed tasks.
Air date: TBC
4. His Dark Materials Season 2 Finale: ĂsahĂŠttr
Technically, thereâs nothing festive about His Dark Materials (unless the BBC/HBO adaptation takes a serious diversion from Philip Pullmanâs books and throws in a few elves) but thereâs something very childhood-bedtime and therefore quite Christmassy about this beautiful series. It ended strong in season one, and keeps getting better in season two. This finale is due to bring The Subtle Knife to a close, making way for the final part of the trilogy in the as-yet-unconfirmed (but come on, itâs happening) third season.
Air date: Sunday 20th December, 8.10pm, BBC One
5. Roald & Beatrix, the Tail of the Curious Mouse
From the producers of Sherlock and Dracula, this festive family comedy-drama promises to be something quite special. It reimagines the real-life meeting of two of the UKâs biggest names in childrenâs literature: Beatrix Potter (played by Dawn French) and Roald Dahl, back when Potter was a recluse and Dahl was a child. Expect puppetry, animation, a host of guest stars and voices, and lots of snow, from Inside No. 9 director David Kerr.
Air date: TBC
COMEDY
Motherland Christmas Special
Top BBC Two parenting sitcom Motherhood returns for a festive special ahead of its third series coming next year. You are cordially invited to Amandaâs annual seasonal soiree⊠Anna Maxwell-Martin, Diane Morgan, Lucy Punch and Paul Ready star.

Upstart Crow: Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow: a Lockdown Christmas 1603
The stage version of Shakespeare sitcom Upstart Crow fell foul of Covid-19 earlier this year, but that hasnât stopped the team putting together this festive lockdown two-hander special, set in London during the plague, and starring David Mitchell and Gemma Whelan as Shakespeare and Kate. Â
Air date: TBC
Not Going Out Christmas Special
Lee Mackâs long-running BBC One sitcom is back for another Christmas instalment, filmed under Covid-safe conditions this August. Expect a dedication to dearly departed cast member Bobby Ball.
Air date: TBC
Pandemonium
Katherine Parkinson and Alison Steadman star in this one-off BBC comedy about a family forced to cancel their dream holiday to California, who end up in Margate over the Christmas season.
Air date: TBC
Vicar of Dibley in Lockdown

"Got it," she replied dryly, trying not to stare at him too closely. They hadn't exactly run in the same circles, but she could place him easily enough. She thought, briefly, about running - put his order in the window, claim she needed a cigarette, grabbing her keys and leaving. She'd done it before, and for less.
And yet -
"Milkshake," she said, placing the glass in front of him a few minutes later. "Where you from?" she asked, adding a slight twang to her voice that hadn't been there before. "Stopping through, or staying awhile?"
Well, now Kirk was starting to wonder if he'd skipped a dose of his meds. Even though her hair was different than what he remembered, she just had one of those faces you rememberedânot one that blurred with others, like she'd claimed. "Huh. Alright," he chuckled, letting it go for now. "I'll do a double stack, please, with, uh... American cheese and extra bacon if you could. And a banana-chocolate shake."

"No." It was an automatic reaction - she'd changed a lot to distance her from that life, the one he probably knew her from. Acknowledging who she was - the real her, beneath the fake name and dyed hair and phony smile - was dangerous. "I wouldn't think so, at least. I just have one of those faces. What are you looking for tonight, coffee or a burger?"
