Gem knows she shouldn't love Shelby. She knows Shelby won't ever love her back. She knows Shelby loves Katherine. She knows they probably won't ever break up. She knows she should give up on Shelby. She knows that there's no use crying over this. She knows, okay!? So why is she still crying over it.. why. Why.... why does it hurt so badly...?

Gem loves Shelby. Shelby loves Katherine though, hm, what to do, what to do? She'll just have to get rid of Katherine then. That's sorted! Now, how to make her beloved love her back? Shelby gets knocked out, when she wakes up, she's chained and in a dark room. She looks for her kidnapper and is thoroughly surprised when she sees Gem! She's so so confused. Gem coos at her, and promises that she'll keep her safe from that shitty academy. And all she needs to do is stay with Gem for a little while.

Shelby realizes something is really wrong when Gem comes back, not sweet with smiles but dark and harden with an icy glare. Then she watches Gem sit close to her, pet her hair, and tried to kiss her! Shelby was dating Katherine, she didn’t want to cheat, but when she tried to jerk away, Gem’s hands became harsher, she held her closer. The kiss tasted almost sour, it seem to try to burn an imprint in her mouth, it was nothing like the sweet kisses Katherine gave her
