hello !! my name is kidde, i'm from canada and currently trying to prepare to take my GED test ! (also learning french for funsies)

starting basically from scratch so it's gonna be a ride LMAO. i was "homeschooled" although ,,not really. due to lazy parents

because of that I am kind of on my own atm with trying to find resources and stay motivated so that's where i thought this would help :] ! been kinda lurking the community for awhile n it seems chill & p rad lol 🦧

Getting my GED is so scary bcs my mom and dad both dropped out of school (they homeschooled us, poorly) before even starting algebra so I'm literally starting from like, the basics at multiplication (I'm in algebra now!) and going from there, but in my classes twice a week they discuss like, slope and stuff? Im sure I'll understand eventually when i get there but its so scary (⁠ꏿ⁠﹏⁠ꏿ⁠;⁠) also they discuss historical events and it's made me realize my parents didn't teach me abt a lot of history esp non american history, so i don't even begin to know where to start asking questions about history, American or otherwise, to learn about that

So like. I'm going back to school, I'm going to do college at almost 30 so I have to take a placement test. I have to take the PERT and I'm gonna fail the math portion.

"You can't fail the PERT!" I hear you say "it's not a pass or fail test!"

That may be true. And studying I may have done. But they're going to ask me to solve a quadratic equation and I'm going to start crying.

burgertron HATE ged prep . burgertron PILEDRIVE WHOEVER MADE IT SO THAT YOU HAVE TO TAKE 4 SEPARATE TESTS TO GET A PIECE OF PAPER THAT SAYS YOU DID IT into THE FUCKING DIRT!!!!!!!
