In Aberdeen, Scotland, the parks were full of Prunus avium 'Plena' (double gean, double wild cherry) in full flower. This double flowering form of the wild cherry forms a spreading, deciduous tree.

i know i literally just made a post about this and it kind of contradicts the post im about to make but idc bc i have many versions of canon in my head so it's all real to me

i want to paint a mini with a unique twist each day this month. The twist of today was doing some rudimentary NMM on his knives. I used the slapchop style with a grey prime and white drybrush highlight

Faebruary Day 2~Gean-Canach

I finally caught up with all of the days for this art challenge. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do for Day 2, but I finally decided to do something simple. The Gean-Canach is known for smoking a pipe, so I focused on that instead of the faerie. He is also known for seducing women, and those women would end up so madly in love with him, until they whither and die. I tried to portray that with the broken, oozing heart.
