Disclaimer: This is just for fun. I don't care who they date, or what their sexuality is. As long as they are healthy and happy, that's all I ever wanted.

Recently Ateez has lots of dating rumours, so I wanted to talk about this conspiracy theory that's been running in my head.

I realised that, when I saw a dating rumor between Mingi and Giselle (aespa), there were only two thoughts in my mind.

1. Wait, Mingi is straight? 2. He's not dating Yunho?

Of course in a jokingly matter. Hey, if they are dating it's none of my business. But as I lay pondering on my bed at 4am, I begin to wonder.

As we all know, members of Ateez represent all colours of the rainbows — gay in every way. (Gayteez fr) A “Shorty in blue” comment is enough- Wait, I mean “Twink in pink” comment is enough for atinys to recognise each other. The ships — Matz, Yungi, Woosan, Jongsang — are like fated pairs.

But don't you think that that's a little bit suspicious?

Judging from most atinys reaction, most of us when seeing them having a dating rumor with a female idol, we absolutely DO NOT BELIEVE. In no way.

BUT. If a dating rumor between Wooyoung and Yeonjun comes out, MOAs and ATINYs are going to hold the wedding ourselves and congratulate them. Whether jokingly or not.

But what if, IF, they were REALLY dating a female?

Okay. My own first rule as a KPOP stan (applies to me only) Recgonize that all idols are human. They have their life. Whether they date or not, its their private business.

BUT.

Let's say d*patch released, say Hongjoong, having dinner with a female friend, and claims that they are dating. I think most of us will not believe it, given his “freakiest twink in itaewon” title. Most of us would think about Seonghwa too, and might list out reasons why Hongjoong is not straight and is literally married to Seonghwa.

Do you see it there?

What if we were so desensitized to the point when they are actually straight and dating a girl but we keep thinking its untrue because of the “gayteez” mindset?
