The fact that Nandor was writing the guide a letter, when we know she prefers to communicate through ravens, tried to propose to Gail with a random stolen ring he took off a victim, and tried turning his shared room with Marwa into a man cave, but every gift he gave Guillermo was well thought out and required effort. He physically carried Guillermo so that he could fly because he knew Guillermo wanted to be a vampire, he made a personal portrait of him and Guillermo, which meant he had to look in Guillermo’s room for pictures of him, because he wanted Guillermo to know he wanted to be a vampire with him together, he gave Guillermo a new pillow to sleep with when Guillermo exclaimed he felt like he was only filling in for someone else and Nandor would do to him what he did to his old familiar. Nandor does have the ability to try , and care, he just doesn’t do it for anyone other then Guillermo’s

Ever since the fight with Nandor in which Nandor essentially admits to loving Guillermo and struggling with the thought of Guillermo leaving and replacing him. Guillermo has a completely new outlook of the vampires. He spent the first half of the season angry at them, but really at himself, because he got what he wanted (to be a part of the vamily) and he lost it. Then, he fires Nandor, the guy he’s spent 15 years blindly loyal to, the man he’s spent 15 years blindly in love with, because his new boss gave him an ultimatum, and Nandor goes crazy and he can’t figure out why. They have that big argument on the broken down factory that his new boss conquered and Guillermo doesn’t understand what Nandor is so angry about, because it’s just a job, but it’s not just a job to Nandor.

How much do you want to bet that after that fight, when Guillermo lays on his makeshift bed, defeated, and at a loss. Not fully understanding what just happened or why he has the power that he does over a guy that’s spent 15 years reminding him that he’s replaceable and placing his life in danger. He thinks back to all of the times he’s been “in danger” and realizes he never really has been in any. That Nandor has always taken him out of real danger. That any other master would have killed their familiar if they fucked up the way he has before. That no master would allow their familiar to smack them, or keep them around after finding that they have van helsing blood. He probably layed down on his bed, in complete shock as he realized that it was never really a job that Nandor was angry about. That Nandor never really cared about turning Guillermo into a vampire, he just wanted to spend the rest of eternity with him. I bet Guillermo realized that Nandor is in love with him.

Okay, so I have this Luke idea. Also, I know! An original post from me. Took me long enough lol.

So! It's sort of this half-baked AU I created after a roleplay with my friend (@tired-gaydumbass ). It's basically, after The Last Olympian. Luke is dead. Sadly. HOWEVER, Luke keeps sneaking out of the Underworld so Hades is like, "I've had enough. You want out. Here." AND BAM! He makes Luke a sort of bodyguard/servant (think Meg and Apollo's relationship) to Nico.

That's all I have for now. I will post more updates about this. I am also looking for a yay or nay on writing more to this AU. (I'm looking at you @lukecastellanshandholder and @off-with-medusas-head. I need your opinions on this.)

I love that this episode finally reached some like healthy boundaries between Guillermo’s human life and his vampire life. He finally got to be 100% honest with a family member without having it be reverted, he finally got to show his awesome slayer skills. He got to come in and save the day without actually doing all of the work. The vampires are no longer relying on Guillermo to get them out of their messes at the cost of himself. They fought for themselves , they cleaned everything up in the end, but they also asked for help when they were in over their heads. He’s no longer their scapegoat , he’s their trump card.

Mutuals Loving Hours

Okay this might be a sappy so...beware as I gush about my mutuals!!

I have so many things I want to say to everyone, so much I would love to tell you face to face. So many reassurances and encouraging words that I would have to write a list just to remember everything I want-- what I need to tell you. I would give anything to be able to make you laugh and enjoy your smile, admiring the way you light up. I'd make an ass out of myself just to watch your smile widen. If I could, I would grab those weights from your shoulders and throw them into the great lakes, never to be seen again. I would stand by your side as we watch them drown from their own weight, never to get that satisfaction of dragging you down with them.

You're a damn good person, whether you believe it or not. Your creations, the things your pour your heart and soul into are some of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I can feel the love and joy you used to intertwine those ideas together, I can see the excitement on your face as you share your creations.

You are one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I don't care if I haven't seen your actual face, or if I don't even know your real name. You are stunning. Stunning like a star that threats to burn your eyes the longer you look at it. But I'd be okay with loosing my sight, as long as you're the last thing I see. I know I'm just a stranger to a lot of you, but I still care! I will always care and you will never be a burden. Sometimes I might not be able to help you like you need, but I'll be damned if I don't try.

As a Hispanic person who moved to the us when they were 8years old , I can understand what it’s like to grow up a chubby brown kid who can never quite fit. You’re not Spanish enough, or American enough. You get bullied constantly and you have trouble fitting in, even at home. It’s one of the reasons Guillermo is one of my favorite characters, it’s also one of the reasons I understand why he yearned for vampirism so much. He felt unlovable, and as though he had to change himself in order to be worthy of admiration. I’m sure we all do at times. He hated himself so much, that when his young, prepubescent brain saw a hot, Spanish vampire be praised, he jumped at the idea of being like him.

He never wanted to be a vampire, he wanted to be loved and needed and admired and thought of as powerful. He wanted to be what he felt vampirism stood for. It makes sense that he never thought too deeply into the reality of it, because he wasn’t interested in reality. At some point, however, it became less about being admired by others, and more about being admired by a certain someone. The problem is, when you don’t love yourself, and don’t think anyone can love you, it’s hard to see when somebody does.

Guillermo’s story line throughout the show has been about coming to terms with himself, and learning that he can be loved, just as he is.

First he came to terms with the reality of vampirism, and the improbability of him ever attaining it

Then he came to terms with his own culture, and his ancestry

Once he gained some confidence in himself and his skills, he had to come to terms with his humanity

Then, finally, he came to terms with his friendships and the idea of family

That is why this week’s episode is so important. He’s spent this entire season pushing the vampires away because he convinced himself that their relationship was transactional and that his role was over when he couldn’t complete that transaction (much to the displeasure of the vampires) , but this week, he embraced them. He called them his friends. He invited them all to what he thought was his accomplishment, and they all came, because they care. He finally sees that they care. Then, the one who he loves most. The queen bi*ch himself. Finally told him what he needed to hear the entire time. That he was loved just as he was. That he was a warrior. He was strong, and wanted, and admired. F*ck vampirism, he was perfect. To Nandor, he is loved, regardless of what form he takes.

The guide told Nandor (in her rejection ) that he was all about the conquest, and once he had gotten what he wanted he no longer wanted it. That makes absolute sense. He is a warrior. All he knows is war. His name is Nandor the fu*king relentless, because he never relents. Until Guillermo tells him to. Nandor loves Guillermo so much he relented for him. To Nandor, Guillermo is no conquest. No. Guillermo is a warrior as well. To Nandor, Guillermo is a conqueror, someone to share his battles with. He finally found a conquest he never has to win. He found the perfect match he spent 6 seasons looking for, and he told him as such. To Nandor, Guillermo is like the sun, it burns, but all you do when you are cursed to live eternity in darkness is yearn for the sun, and Guillermo finally knows.
