Dink donk it's Pride Month and I'm here to talk about Hideduo's relationship.

I generally just use the word queer for myself, it's comfortable for me, but within that I know I'm somewhere under the ace umbrella. And with FitPac, the fact that despite all the innuendo and flirting and comments they never kissed? Never hinted at even having gotten down and dirty offscreen? Made it clear multiple times they were treating it carefully and taking things slow for everyone's comfort level?

I know they likely eventually would have, with more time on the server, I get they weren't necessarily an ace couple. OC-tober Day 14 is Inspiration!

I’m going to drop some templates I used here for Covrin and Mercurio quite some time ago, but also elaborate more on them and other characters under a read more.

I’m going to be honest, I can’t find where this template originated from/who made it, so if you know, please let me know so I can give credit!

Anyway, more information under the cut! All of these are specifically for my Dark Souls OCs since that's been my main focus for quite a while now lol

Covrin - He was actually created for a short multi-person server RP and was developed more in a years-long RP. At the time, I didn't have any DS OCs, but when I thought about what kind of character I wanted to make, my first thought was a Morne knight because I loved Eygon's armor and think the characters from Carim are interesting. But rather than have him be like...the typical Carim asshole, I thought it would be nice to have a character from there who was kind and somewhat naive. Unfortunately things didn't stay that way after the accidental death of his maiden, as he ends up becoming pretty traumatized from the experience. But Cov is still Cov, it just takes him a while to return to himself.

Avalea - Covrin's maiden, she was always supposed to be a "caged bird" type of character, someone whose life essentially belonged to others, never having a say in what happened to her. She does gain awareness of this, and once she and Cov leave Carim, she rebels a little bit, trading her maiden's robes for clothing she prefers, running around and getting dirty, and eventually developing feelings for her knight. Her canon story ends in death, definitely a tragedy rather than a feel-good story.

Mercurio - Started as an NPC merchant-type character in a long-term RP, but was developed into a full character later on. I wanted a character who relied more on magic and charisma than brute strength, plus the merchant archetype is fun, thus Mercurio was born. They were inspired by a mix of characters I really love in other media + a friend's HCs around Oolacile. They have also been a way to explore ideas around gender exploration and experimentation. Merc is my favorite DS OC that I have.

Percival - Another Morne knight because I couldn't help myself lol. He was actually inspired by one of my best friends growing up in multiple ways (specifically some aspects of physical appearance and personality). Outside of that, I thought a lot about how Carim seems to be a very heteronormative place, so I wondered how LGBTQ+ people might be treated there and what their experiences would be, esp in the case of a gay knight who has a lifetime responsibility to a maiden.

Samson - In keeping with the Carim theme, I thought having a pardoner would be fun and that such a character could be an interesting potential love interest for Perci. Would they need to keep things secret? How would they go about it? I actually got really inspired by a lot of queer history and symbolism when making Sam, especially wrt flower language and Polari. Another thing that has inspired me a lot with him is the more religious/political stuff in Carim regarding Velka, the Way of White, Caitha, etc. I thought it would be cool to investigate the idea of a character who exists in a role that essentially becomes obsolete over time.

Cassandra - Percival's maiden, and someone I wanted to sort of be Avalea's opposite. She's abrasive and selfish, and doesn't really fit into the stereotype of a docile maiden. Honestly, I kind of spread traits about myself through my OCs, and she wasn't an exception. She's one of the characters that's been harder for me to develop sometimes because I see my own negative traits in her. However, she's reflective, and she changes over time. She's an archivist, and that part was actually inspired by some of my own work experience lol

Dominic - Since Perci and Sam had a less than ideal experience being queer in Carim, I wanted a character who embodied more of the joy of it. I thought Astora would be a good place for that, and honestly a lot of his traits came from the way I tend to think about Astora in general- sunny and optimistic. I feel like Dom had a pretty good week to himself, so stopping here for him!

me and my @kinslee-the-normal-human's oc. we used to rp a lot and they'd get into all sorts of bullshit with mr. tall echidna always being like i told you this would happen and being generally upset about it but his teeny tiny girlfriend could not care less. this time it was about vampires but he's just vibing

one of my ocs just kinda turns into fire when he goes super and i thought the idea of his clothes burning off was hilarious

hard to explain but my friend made an au where like every possible fusion of two characters that could exist did exist all at once in a weird little sci-fi society and we roleplayed it a ilttle bit. my main character for it was an amy/manic fusion named pippin and they had anxiety

in the background you can see salyut (he was actually made for this au as a shadow/biolizard fusion), maroon (a shadow/knuckles fusion), and... man i forget his name but he was a sonic/shadow fusion. the character in the second to last panel is a mephiles/tikal fusion who was part of the evil sci-fi government or whatever and she scared pippin a lot. i might repurpose pippin because they're very cute

@kinslee-the-normal-human told me that you can tell if someone is a furry based on how they draw dogs so i drew a dog and she said i was a furry based on how i drew the back legs. she was right but i don't get the test lmao

oh my gosh i did it (i figured it out in two seconds, yay)

on ajax’s page i told him a few lil things abt some of my ocs

my MAIN main ocs are (Auggie) (Reed) (Hille) (Vee) (Gabe) and (Jack)

i’ll tell more about them later but i have to explain this. only ajax rlly knows about them cuz we did a rp (and i, with my scattered mind, used multiple ocs at once because using just one is too difficult for me- i like to spice things up with multiple ocs)

anyways

Hille goes over to Gabe’s house a lot on the weekends. Vee, Auggie and Reed also go there and they all hang out. Gabe throws parties at his house very often- like once a week or every two weeks (he’s a people person).

Hille, one night (in the first few weeks of knowing Reed, Auggie, Vee, and Gabe), woke up in someone else’s bed with Reed right next to him. He totally freaked out. Like.. who wouldn’t?

Hille sat up and looked around the room, trying to figure out where the fuck he was. He woke Reed up and asked him “Where am I, why the fuck am I here, and what did I do last night.” because he truly did not know what he did last night. He was too tired to remember.

Reed just joked and was like “What do you think we did?”

Hille got annoyed. He pinched Reed’s side really hard and Reed squealed. It was funny.. Reed told him “You passed out, so I brought you to a bed to sleep on, ‘cause you were totally just.. out. And the only bed that was available was mine, so here you are. On my bed.”

Hille didn’t buy it, and he just eyed Reed like ‘is that all?’

Reed said “Don’t worry, we only slept on the same bed. We didn’t do anything more.” Hille asked him what time he passed out and Reed said “At like 10:30.”

Hille was like “Oh shit, I stayed up til 10??” Then his next concern was “OH SHIT. I DIDN'T GO HOME.”

Reed just nodded and said “Yah,” and laid back down.

Hille passed out because he can’t stay up for that long. His body is used to going to sleep around 8-9pm. At 9 he started getting loopy because he was so tired. By 10 he was mentally not there- so he totally forgot what he was doing.

(And to those who assumed they effed *’cause people have dirty minds, as well as I do..*, they did not. (( I can’t say “they fucked” I don’t know why it’s just not something I’d say ☠️ )) They simply slept in the same bed together.)

(He got home, it was only like 8am when he got up, which is normal for him, he called his mom back because she called him last night, wondering where he was of course. He told her that he stayed the night at Gabe’s and that he’s on his way home.)

(If Hille’s parents knew that they shared the same bed, even if they only slept- they both would have kinda freaked out. His mom would have freaked out more, and said “So you stayed the night there and slept with Reed?! Oh, you are never having sleepovers with him anymore.” His dad would have said “Well.. did you at least use a-?” and Hille would immediately cut him off and tell him “We did not do that. Oh my god, no.”)

Hille’s bi, but he’s in denial that he likes guys. His parents don’t know that he’s bi, plus Hille would never admit it.. unless he overcame the denial hole and finally told himself “Okay I do like guys. I am kinda gay.” - basically if he came out to himself, he could come out to his parents. And if he came out to himself and to his friends (basically confirming that he’s gay to them.. Vee would love for him to finally accept himself) then he would tell his parents. His parents have always been understanding and accepting, he’s got a supportive family, so he wouldn’t be worried about it.

All in all, that’s what happened..

Hille is actually a lot like me. Like he’s basically me.. He represents me in a way.

I think Auggie and Vee represent my mind. Vee is the spontaneous and outgoing part of me, the part of me that likes doing/trying new things and likes talking to people. Vee is the part of my mind that is scattered and everywhere. Just like me, she can talk about anything. She could start talking about one subject and end up talking about five different subjects along the way. She can keep conversation going and keep things interesting. She isn’t judgy at all, ‘cause hey. You do you, man. That could be her motto. Auggie is the part of my mind that wants to be alone sometimes, the part of me that holds back from trying to meet new people. Auggie’s the part of me that wants to talk to people, but doesn’t, because he’s scared he might say too much. Auggie overthinks things when he talks to new people, especially when they’re the one who came up to him. If someone comes up to him and says that they wanna be friends with him, and if they try to spark up some conversation, Auggie immediately goes to the worst and thinks that they’ve got bad intentions. He doesn’t trust people very well. I don’t have much trust issues at all, but he does.

I wrote a lot and now I’m getting distracted ‘cause Moana is on (my sisters love watching it seven times a day and four days a week)
