"Oh yes, they were very dramatic. Much more dramatic than I could ever be, I wasn't under the impression that people couldn't disagree over a movie these days," he laughed and gave a small shrug, maintaining the smile on his face. "See, a crime that you shouldn't even think of committing. If we get a little sick from them, then so be it right? I may look small but trust me, there will be no creampuffs left. I may have to hit the gym, but it will be worth it."
Morgan had tried and failed in love before, too, quite a few times, and, as such, was just looking to have a nice, good time with Gaten. He had no expectations and certainly wasn't hinging anything on this date or any foreseeable future ones. He just genuinely liked Gaten and hoped that something could blossom between them. "Someone screamed at you because they disagreed with your opinion on films?" He asked, obviously shocked by the news. "How rude. I'm so very sorry for you, Gaten, darling." He said, resting his hand on the other man's shoulder before peering into the case at the left over cream puffs. It was true, they wouldn't be good enough to sell the next day and wasting them would be silly. "What a crime that would be..." He said, grabbing a box and putting them in there delicately. "I wonder how many we can get through?"

Gaten had failed a lot of the time when it came to anything romantic with someone and that had been by his own fault. This was different, a lot more pressure to not mess things up since Morgan was his boss - the last thing he wanted to do was cause a ruckus in the workplace and get fired. "Ah, glad to see you agree, I was worried that I would have to argue my viewpoint which I have done once before and it just ended with the person screaming at me," he chuckled before his eyes fell onto the cream puffs that were made earlier. "Perhaps we should take what's left of them, I mean, they won't be quite as delicious tomorrow and I'd hate to have them go to waste."
Morgan could sense the nerves oozing out of Gaten, and he thought it was sweet. Just another reason to find the younger man more endearing. The boss/employee dilemma didn't deter him — he felt he had a good enough relationship with Gaten that it shouldn't matter, but hoped the 'power' dynamic didn't sway the situation. "I love all of it. The 80s were a particularly delightful time for horror, I will agree." He said, grinning widely — he couldn't have been happier with the way things were transpiring. "Oh! Delightful. Shall we bring anything from work with us? A delightful sweet treat to go with our salty and savory?"

Gaten felt like he was going to explode he was so nervous. His heart was racing and his hands felt clammy as he gathered his things while listening to Morgan. Was this against some cardinal rule? Being interested in your boss? No, he wasn't going to think about that right now. "Oh, like, Nosferatu? Creature from the Black Lagoon? I have to say that some of the earlier movies in black and white were quite amazing but also, the 80's horror were always nice because they seemed to add a bit of comical relief to balance out the scariness in them." He rambled before shutting his mouth, realizing that he was talking like an insane person. "You can't have a movie night without the mandatory pizza with everything on it and popcorn and such. I have a whole cabinet dedicated to that."
Morgan had spent enough time working with Gaten to know that he wasn't boring, just quiet and kept to himself. If anything, that sparked more intrigue in the older man than disinterest. "Mm... you'd be mistaken. I mean, I do like some classic movies, who doesn't? But some of my favorites happen to be horror classics..." He was grinning now. "I'd love to watch horror films with you... will we be indulging in junk food as well?"

Gaten knew he was good-looking, he wasn't that clueless but no one really paid him much a second glance once they talked to him because he didn't seem to exciting to others. "Oh, uh," he cleared his throat, thinking he might have offended the other. "Um, classic movies? Historical at that you just seemed like someone that enjoys those kinds of richness? Not horror movies. "
If Morgan had known that Gaten was unaware of how entrancing he was, he certainly would have done something to change that. "You're most welcome..." He responded with sparkling eyes and a slight, dramatic bow. "Oh? And what do I seem like?" Morgan asked, clearly amused by the implications. "I'm more than happy to do anything you would like to do, Gaten. I promise, your company will be entertaining enough."

Gaten was oblivious when it came to people looking at him. He was used to people thinking he was odd at the very least. Not having a crush on him. "Oh, well, that's very generous, thank you." He laughed and then cleared his throat. "You uh, sure. You don't seem like someone that's into the paranormal though, I don't want you to be bored, we could find something else and I can watch them another time?"
Morgan had always considered Gaten to be exceptionally handsome, and working with him had shown Morgan that the younger man was beautiful on the inside, too. So, maybe a little crush had developed. Or, maybe a little more intense crush than Morgan had anticipated. He grinned at Gaten and nodded his head. "Your boss is feeling most generous — you may clock out now, and I'll finish up here.... especially if you'll allow me to join you in watching your films? We could order in..."

Gaten was flattered that Morgan showed interest in him at all. He always just assumed Morgan was a natural flirt and just flirted with everyone - which was true but being asked out? That was definitely something he hadn't expected. Snapping from his thoughts when Morgan said all the mixer's dreams were going to come true, he laughed. "Oh I'm sure they are," he muttered before looking at the clock. He still had twenty minutes left to get things done but he smiled, glancing back at Morgan. "Well, I do have twenty minutes left, if my boss is feeling nice, he may let me go early. The only plans I had tonight were to settle down and start watching The Conjuring movies."
Gaten seemed to be taking Morgan's tentative flirtations well which made the older man breathe a little easier. He laughed lightly, sliding his hand over the mixer. "Well, all her wildest dreams are about to come true..." He teased, eyes sparkling. "There's nothing wrong with that — you had your future in mind. But it's never too late to live a little." He shifted his weight nervously when waiting for Gaten's response, his grin growing magnificently when the younger man accepted his invitation for a date. "Great — what are you doing after you clock out here? Or is that too soon?" He was so excited he could hardly contain himself.
