Pic 1! PVC pipe! Cut to fit the inside of the gauntlet. You want it snug but not to the point that it changes the shape of the tube. I recommend sanding the rough edges. Pic 2! Placement of the handle is important! Enough clearance to hold it without passing the top. (Excuse my horrible tracing mess) Pic 3 & 4! Going to need cheap paint brushes and contact cement for gluing. WARNING: contact cement fumes are dangerous! When using please be outside, I don't recommend a well ventilated room.. It's too strong. Always read and follow the directions. Pic 5! Going to make brackets for the handle, I'll be using the foam - it's sturdy enough for the job. Pic 6 &7! Measure, mark and glue with the cement. (I'm not going into detail with the gluing process) The handle fits nicely, so glue your top brackets on. And always, hot glue gun for max support!! This is the handle, ya know. Pic 8! Let dry and test it out! Yeah! Handle! Starting to come together well!

Going to Dragon Con in the fall! So I decided to do a few cosplay props instead of doing a full outfit. First piece will be one of Garnet's gauntlets from Steven Universe. [Left hand] Will be wearable and light weight. (It's my first time at the con so I need something simple.) I'll be showing progress as I go and sharing the way I'm building things.
