Green Witch Tip

Plant Nasturtium for Protection
Protection from slugs, snails, and caterpillars: particularly around citrus trees, strawberries, lettuces, and tomatoes
Despite harmful bugs not liking it, it’s a delicious, spicy herb and edible flower for humans
The leaves are more mild than the flowers, and lose all spiciness when heated (like added to a toasted sandwich or eggs)
Flowers are beautiful and sweet, then follow with a sharp spiciness that dissipates quickly. Good for desserts, salads, and garden nibbles
Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds love them
They are an easy spring green to grow
Use them fresh in protection spells, Imbolc/Ostara (depending on your growing season) altars and rituals, plant near your doors and garden gates for spiritual protection
Pick seeds when still green and pickle them like capers or wait until they are brown and dry to replant next season—they’ll grow even better!
A climbing or spilling beauty that doesn’t take over, feeds you, protects you, beautifies your garden, and easily grows in containers
Honestly, there is nothing I dislike about nasturtium! Most underrated plant ever🌿
Happy Imbolc seed blessings witches 💚
