Pegboards and hooks: The usage of a pegboard is one of the most time-tested methods of storing and organizing tools in a garage. You can mount one over your workbench and use it to store various tools and supplies. Pegboards can be arranged in countless ways, allowing you to assign a specific hook to each tool in your collection. To get started, put together some wallboard and some pegboard hooks.

Cabin
(the timeline is a lil weird in this so just go for the vibes, Pre-K verse. Fem!reader)
Based off this AWESOME ASK! so here's my lil take on it <3
“Think ‘m dyin.”
“You’re fine.”
”UGH- oi, th’ light- oi, Beth? That you? callin me, LT, they callin me.”
Simon doesn’t bother to look up from the tablet to his wounded comrade, who would be alright with some TLC and a long night’s sleep. Currently, he was trying to find somewhere they could all rest, somewhere safe, which seemed to be an easy task- as he knew this forest like the back of his hand. (After living in a town not even ten miles away for close to seven years) Not to mention, he happened to know where there was a cabin, which should be empty.
Technically it wasn’t his cabin, it had been your brother however when your brother moved he left it to you. And since it was the middle of the summer and the cabin didn’t have AC, Simon assumed you were most likely happily sitting at home with the kids, on an air-conditioned covered porch.
With that in mind, he made his decision to lead his team towards the cabin. It would be a bit of a trek, but it was the best option they had, it wasn’t far from where they had to leave the truck- the mission had been odd, just to accompany some international weapons dealer, and since they were the closest they had been assigned. Long- story short, it went to hell and they somehow made it back in one piece. They had to wait for pickup, to be treated, and then for the debrief, so he couldn’t quite just go home, though he wanted to.
“Since when do ya own real estate?” Kyle remarked as they approached the cabin, lit up by their flashlights and the moon that hung, he had gotten out with a broken rib and a graze on the arm- luckily he didn’t fall from any high places this time. It was a quaint thing, made of wood with a cute chimney, and a nice porch. A big red garage not too far away from it and a dirt path leading to the neat porch.
“Not mine.” Simon replied bluntly back, handing his backpack to Kyle, and then told them he would grab some emergency packs and the first aid kit from the garage. With one flashlight tucked under his arm, he went around the back of the garage while the rest went into the cabin, as he also told them the spare key was under the chair leg. He remembered building the garage, yet somehow he still would grumble about how loud the door was.
Normally the garage was barren, give or take the Christmas decorations you would have him store in there, a rack with his tools and weapons. As well a year’s worth of rations, and camping gear, both mundane and survival- to put it simply it had everything he would need if he simply needed to vanish for a while. Though he hadn’t needed to in a long moment, not since he met you and Ollie- and perhaps that could be summed up to he didn’t quite want to anymore, either way- he flipped on the flickering light expecting a vacant garage.
No. Instead, he found your car sitting in the darkness. He knew it was yours because only your car would have that dent he caused in the front fender. Within a millionth of a second everything began to make sense- you had said you had a project you were going to surprise him with, ‘take it off his shoulders’ as you gleefully had put it before he left. The air conditioning, you had taken on the task of installing the air conditioning while he was gone. Which meant you were in the cabin with Ollie and he just sent a team of men in there, armed.
All the same, he had taught you to fend for yourself, enough to where when he ran through the front door to the sight of a knife to Johnny’s neck and a panic-riddled fear within your eye. He wasn’t shocked by it. He quickly told Kyle to drop the gun, harshly at that, to which Johnny replied-
“WHA? Bonie’s go’ a knife-” “Simon?”
His eyes flash over to yours and almost out of habit, his hand went to take off the mask, to assure you, “S jus me, let Johnny go, baby. Jus me.”
“Oh my god,” You very quickly drop the weapon of opportunity and without much else warning you turn around on your heel to go down the hall, opening up the coat closet to pick up the three-year-old- who was still baffled on what was going on and why you told him to go hide.
All the while you were doing that Johnny very slowly looked back at Simon, a look of exasperation across his expression- because- well two things actually; he had technically seen the man’s face before, but never in good lighting and it wasn’t because Simon was trying to show his face it was more of a random moment post-OP. Secondly; “What do ya ‘ean ‘Baby?”
“ISTER RILEY!” The three-year-old shrieks with glee before any questions are asked and before any can be answered, the child in his blue dinosaur-themed PJs and his mob of hair messy from bed, yet he seemed as awake as one could be. Ollie tried to wiggle out of your grasp, failing so he frowned and looked to you, “Momma wan go ‘Ister Riley.”
You stand at the end of the hallway, beside the old couch and you look over the three men, one you happened to be in a relationship with, and the other two you had no earthly idea of their existence till two minutes before, where they rudely woke you up with clanking boots. You only glance the two over before returning your gaze to Simon, who is very slowly approaching his movements calculated, as if he knew a sudden movement would scare you. “Who…who are these people?”
“On my team, I didn’t know you would be ‘ere,” His voice was hushed, as if he didn’t want them to hear his words, as he got closer Ollie began to lean out of your grasp to move to him- and normally you would allow the transfer, yet not then. Which Simon was very aware of, “Needed somewhere to crash for the night, I didn’t know you ‘ere here. I wouldn’t have-”
Before he could finish his apologies, your voice was whispered through the silence, “You’re all bleeding, what? Do they not have medics? I thought- you told me you had people to take care of you.” Sure, you were very angry and more importantly scared, feeling unsafe in your own home and if not a bit betrayed, yet…for the moment you were willing to overlook that.
“Back at base, luv,” Simon was quick to reply, “Waiting for someone to ‘ick us up ‘n take us.”
You take a moment to process his words and you nod, “Johnny and Kyle?” Your husband very slowly nods, so you look back to the two beaten-up men, who were standing as if they were watching their best friend get yelled at by their parents. After a moment of breathing and slowing your heart rate you give a meek smile, “Hi, I’m sorry, that was a…well an awful introduction, I swear I’m nice.”
They were both quick to deny you being the guilty party, Kyle taking off the cap within a millisecond as he spoke, “No! We must’ve scared ya to death, completely rational reaction, Missus.”
Johnny nods and motions to Kyle as he adds on. Watching as Simon very carefully moves to stand behind you. He knew his best friend, and he somehow didn’t know of his secret wife- suspicions yes, yet he was tickled pink that he was correct. “Wha’ Gaz is sayin, you did not’in wrong, bonnie, fact o’ it is-”Ollie’s face crinkles as Johnny speaks and he moves his head to look back at Simon, seeing him from an upside-down view, “Ister Riley why does he talk weird?” As if on cue you move Ollie to sit happily in Simon’s arms and give a weak laugh to distract them both from your son’s rude question.
“Tea?”
—
“And Missus?” Kyle said after about ten minutes of silence, the night was peaceful, Ollie going from Simon to Johnny the entire night and asking about every question imaginable (”You fight bad people?””I do laddie.””Da’s so cool.”….”Wha’s your name?””Johnny.””Nuh-huh.””Nuh-huh?””Yea, ‘Ister Riley called ya someden different earlier.””Ah, Soap, tha’ my speical nickname.””SOAP??”) and you fussing about how crappy their medic was, they didn’t have one, and getting the first aid kits and clean clothes out, the night was oddly…pleasant.
Simon, who currently had a sleeping three-year-old against his chest, looks up from his tea and then clears his throat. “Wha’ bout her?”
Johnny had spent the last forty minutes thinking about it all, and he had figured out the timeline, or he thought so, so he looked to Simon- a look of pure shock and a little bit of mock upon his face, “Whatcha ‘ean ‘wha’ bout her? LT got a wife n kid ‘n we ‘ere nun wiser!”
“Tha was what I was hopin for,” Simon said dully in return, moving to stand up, an arm under the boy, and then giving you a soft smile as you came back from the garage, blankets in hand. “Gonna put Olls t’ bed.”
As your husband tells you what he was doing you give him a little nod and then set the blankets down on the couch, looking back to the very intimidating men, who were somewhat pleasant as you got to know them. “Unfortunately one of you will have to sleep on the floor. Si’s got a little cot thingy but I hate that thing so I will subject you to it. Trust me, the floor is better.”
Johnny laughs, “Nah we’ll jus cuddle on and we’ll be fine, Missus.”
“No, we will not.” Kyle deadpanned back, glaring at Johnny before looking back to you, “Thank you for opening your home.”
You smile at him, finding it easier to do so after a few hours, “Well after having to endure Ollie for hours it’s the least I could do.” It was a joke that they both caught onto, laughing lightly at it, though the air wasn’t stiff it was most definitely a bit awkward.
“Speakin of Ollie, is he-”
“Oh, he’s not Simons.” You quickly finish the thought, fully knowing that was going to be the question out of the Scotts mouth, then you clear your throat, walking to the kitchen as you spoke, “I mean- sorry, I met Simon when Ollie was about a year and a half old, my ex divorced me after Ollie was born and since he had been on deployment I didn- anyway sorry,” You wave your hand and grab your mug, “and Simon was volunteering at the school I worked at- for um, well John, you both know John of course- anyway, I needed a babysitter for Ollie and he offered and then…well the rest is history.”
“Ghost volunteering at a school?” Kyle echoed to clarify, “an the kids weren’t scared of him?”
“Terrified,” You reply, a laugh in your voice, “It was cute, he was cute, he’s good with kids, he won’t say he is but he is and oh lord, I…” A slight faltering and you shake your head, “Anyway, I’ll let you both sleep. You know where the bathroom is.”
With a few goodnights, you walk down the hall, leaning on the doorframe to the smaller room, which had a pull-down bed that had Ollie’s favorite racecar-themed blanket atop of it and a few select toys you had let him bring on the two-night trip. As you listened to the very faint conversation you stayed quiet, not wanting to ruin the moment between the father-figure and the boy.
“I like Misser Soap and Misser Kyle.”
“Mm, thos’ are my brother’s laddie, so ‘m sure they’re happy you like em.”
“If…if dey brother then- then they like Uncle Mark?”
“…Yeah, sorta like your Uncle Mark, alright, you get to sleep, yeah? Fore mum has both our hides.”
You move to stay in the hallway as Simon kisses the boy’s forehead and tells him goodnight for the billionth time, and you turn your head upward to look at him as he closes the door behind him. He looked tired if anything, so maybe you would wait for your scolding. Silence, as you had learned very quickly on within your relationship, was the cornerstone of who he was. Whatever you may want to be said he was already aware of, anything you wanted to be expressed he was already expressing in his own way. With that in mind you move to where he could easily wrap his arms around you, tucking you into what he felt was like a safe embrace.
“Didn’t mean to scare you.”
“Not scared of you, scared of what would happen without you.”
(annd yeah, that's all. Feedback, comments and all that mean so much to me <3)

The former garage has now been fully transformed into my husband's game room. That blue wall was the garage door.
I built all the terrain and buildings, he assembled and painted the miniatures.
At some point, we'll replace the carpet. The garage had that carpet already installed, complete with oil stains. It's not a priority. We will also add some other things to complete the space, but for now, this is it.
Husband and I did the painting, one of his players helped install the shelves. I instead Bubby learn how to do these things himself, that I wouldn't be doing the work, so he watched and learned. His shoulders are sore, but he feels very accomplished.
All the arranging was done by him. And he is very proud of the work. Looking at this all neat and tidy work makes my brain purr. Yes, I'm autistic.
We have metal shelving racks that will be moved and some other stuff to do, but overall, this is about 85% complete.
Mind leaving a reply telling him how fantastic this looks? I didn't enter the room for several hours yesterday and was absolutely stunned by the beauty of it when I walked in. My reaction had him grinning like a child. Let's make sure he's aware others are impressed and proud of him!

One with Tommy where after the reader and him come home he surprises her with a sex swing 😈
Surprise
Pairings: Dom!90s!Tommy Lee x Sub!Fem!Reader
Warnings: sex swing, oral (f receiving), rough sex, breeding, lingerie
You sighed walking into your house after a long day of filming. You’re a big time actress so your schedule can get pretty hectic.
Putting your coat up on the coat rack in the entryway, you walked into the living room expecting to see your husband. But you didn’t. Your brows furrowed and you walked into the kitchen. He wasn’t there.
He definitely isn’t practicing in the garage either. But you knew he was home since his car was outside.
“Tommy?” You called out, walking up the stairs. “In here baby!” He called back.
“In where? Tommy you’ve got to be more specific.” You laughed.
“Bedroom!” He called back.
Of course. Knowing your man he was probably waiting all night for you to come home so he could fuck you. Not that you’re complaining or anything…
You walked up the beautiful marble stairs and down the hall into your shared bedroom. You gasped at what you saw. Not because Tommy was naked laying in bed with a semi hard cock-you’ve seen that one too many times-but the fact a sex swing was hanging from the ceiling.
“Tommy!” You gasped with a laugh.
The drummer walked up to you and planted a kiss on your lips. “You said you wanted one, didn’t you?” He asked.
“Yes but…I wasn’t expecting now.”
“And that’s what you said when we got the pole installed.” He motioned to the stripper pole that resides in the corner of the room. In his words, this house was your guys’ private love palace.
“True, true. Well I guess I should go get dressed for the occasion…yeah?” You trailed an acrylic nail down his chest causing him to let out a groan. He gripped your hips and kissed you passionately before parting ways, “Go ahead baby. Pick whatever you want.” And he made his way to the bed.
You went into the walk in closet and looked through your lingerie drawer. Deciding to go with a red lace teddy and matching panties you stripped out of your T-shirt and jeans and got into the little number.
You walked over to your vanity and spritzed some perfume and touched up your hair and makeup.
Walking out of the closet, you made a show of swinging your hips. Tommy’s eyes practically bugged out of his head. He rushed towards you, playing with the hem of the teddy. “Is this new?” He asked.
“I think so? I lose track of how much clothes I buy.” You giggle.
The raven haired man cupped your face and pressed a kiss to your lips. The two of you exploring each others bodies with your hands as you began to make out.
He began to walk you towards the swing. “Let’s test this baby out!” He exclaimed.
“I don’t even know how to use one of these to be honest.” You admitted, getting a little shy.
“It’s ok baby. We’ll figure it out together. Now what I want to do is bend you over to and fuck you till you can’t walk. Sound good?”
You clenched your thighs at that. “Yes.” You whispered. You were bent over before you could even blink, panties being ripped away from you.
Tommy got on his knees and began to lick your pussy. You grasped the chains from either side of the swing as you began to moan.
“Tommy!” You cried out, trying not to fall over the edge of the swing. When he sucked and flicked his tongue on your clit, you saw stars as you felt your orgasm approaching.
“Cum for me baby.” He commanded and you did just that, letting yourself go. “You taste so sweet baby girl.” Tommy moaned.
He stood up and teased your entrance with his cock. “Please, baby. Put it in I need you!” You begged pathetically.
Tommy pushed himself in, relishing in the way your wall’s fluttered around him. “Fuck, so good for me baby. So tight.” He began to thrust into you with such force, causing the swing to move. Your grip on the chains tightened as he hit your g spot over and over again. Tears welled in your eyes.
The drummer kept pounding into you, smacking your ass every once in a while. “I’m gonna cum. Where do you want me to cum?” Tommy asked, slightly out of breath.
“Inside! please! Want your babies!”
“Oh yeah? You want my babies? Fuck I’ll give you a baby sweetheart.” His thrusts were faster as he raced his own orgasm while you were now just having your second.
“I’m gonna cum Tommy! Oh, Tommy!” You squealed.
“I’m gonna cum too baby. Deep inside. Fuck!” Tommy yelled as you clenched around him sending him over the edge. The two of you came at the same time which was pure ecstasy.
After the two of you got down from your highs, the raven haired man pulled out of you, admiring the way his cum dripped from your stretched out cunt.
He helped you get up and he carried you into bed, giving you your panties. He pressed a sweet kiss to your lips as he got in bed next to you. “I love you, Y/n.”
“I love you too, Tommy.”

Meet three startups, from Morocco, Côte d’Ivoire and the Democratic Republic of Congo, that are harnessing technology to provide simple, viable solutions to energy and food security in Africa.
1. Meier Energy, Morocco’s standard-bearer for energy efficiency
Founded in 2020 by Fouad El Kohen, Meier Energy offers businesses tailor-made solutions to kick-start their energy transition. In just four years, it has established itself as one of the leading start-ups in Morocco and is already exporting outside the country. “It’s a young company dedicated to the development and marketing of energy efficiency, electricity and smart grid equipment,” says founder El Kohen. “Our ambition is to support the ecological transition in both Morocco and Africa.”
2. BioAni, the Ivorian start-up that wants to bid goodbye to chemical fertilisers
BioAni sells organic fertilisers produced using black soldier fly larvae, products that are much cheaper than chemical fertilisers. All that remains is for them to convince farmers to change their habits.
It all began in a garage in Abidjan’s Cocody district with food waste and a few larvae. The insects transform this bio-waste into a particularly effective organic fertiliser. Founder Arthur de Dinechin wanted to get involved in an environmental project in Africa, his adopted continent. After trying his hand at plastic recycling, his thoughts turned to agriculture.
“Here in Côte d’Ivoire, millions of people make their living from farming. There are very few resources in place to help them make a profit from this activity,” he says.
3. GreenBox, the storage solution changing Congolese farmers’ lives
GreenBox enables farmers in the Democratic Republic of Congo to store their fruit and vegetables for three weeks instead of two days, using new technology that gives farmers access to remote control of solar-powered cold rooms. These refrigerators also make it possible to establish the state of ripeness of a stored product and ensure its traceability. Its five installations, spread across as many villages, enable customers’ harvests to be monitored in real-time.
Founder Divin Kouebatouka says: “Storage is centralised for the whole village. The cold room is managed by a cooperative. We make racks available to farmers so that they can store their produce. We can’t rent to everyone, so it’s first come, first served.”
For CFA200 a day (around $0.10), farmers are provided with a locker that can hold 30kg of food. “Small farmers, our core target, can’t buy a cold room. That’s why we’ve introduced daily, weekly and monthly rates. Everyone can choose the subscription that suits them best, which is nothing compared to the value of the products they entrust to us,” says Kouebatouka. In addition to his team of 12 employees, a group of five women is responsible for the daily maintenance and management of the cold rooms.

Series Masterlist ~ Main Masterlist
“Hi Lila.”
Lila stood in the doorway for a second, not sure what to say. “Umm, would you like to come in?”
“Thank you.” Belle made her way inside her former apartment and looked around. “You haven’t changed much.”
“No, not really. Been working a lot so I’m hardly here.” Lila fidgeted before she blurted out, “why are you here?”
Belle didn’t move. She tried to open her mouth and speak but all that came out was a sob. Her entire body began to shake with the tears that had been waiting to be released. Lila came over to hold Belle as sob after sob tore through her chest. “It’s ok sweetie, I’m here.”
“Lila, I was so stupid,” she wailed. Her heart was broken. And all it wanted was the one person who broke her heart and her trust.
“Its ok, babe. C’mon sit down. Tell me everything.”
Bucky was on at the computer trying to track Belle. “Stupid glasses,” he muttered. While at the time it seemed like a good idea, Tony’s glasses that he made for Belle were now the hindrance to finding her. He sighed and looked over to see Steve passed out on the couch, Belle’s sweater in his hands.
He felt his phone buzz and saw a notification.
DOORBELL RINGING
“What the hell?” He clicked on the notification and saw a video from a camera. At first the person at the door was fuzzy but then the glasses came off and he gasped. Belle. He was racking his brain until it dawned on him. Lila.
Bucky remembered he had installed a doorbell camera to Lila’s apartment while Belle was still living there. He hadn’t mentioned it since he hadn’t wanted to spook the girls. He decided to try and talk to Belle first and hopefully convince her to come home. He went out the service elevator to the garage, leaving his best friend resting.
Belle finally calmed and told Lila everything. “Lila, how could I have been so naïve? He lied; he could have told me.”
“I know but look at it rationally Belle, he was trying to protect you. Maybe he went about it the wrong way but I think he had your best interest at heart.”
Belle snorted. “Right. Because leaving in the dark was so smart.”
“Belle,” Lila sighed, “your dad left you in the dark. Everyone did. I mean, how are you not mad at your dad?”
“Because I was a kid! I already lost my parents, and he was everything when I had…” she sobbed, “I had nothing.” She wiped her eyes. “Steve’s supposed to be my family. How am I supposed to trust him?”
“I guess that is the ultimate question.” A knock on the door made Lila look. “Just give me a sec.” Lila went to the door and opened. “What are you doing here?”
“I need to talk to her.”
“No.”
“Delilah, please. I need to know she’s safe.”
“She is safe. You guys are the ones…”
“You don’t know the whole story Li. Please give me five minutes.”
Lila studied her ex. “Five.” She opened the door wider and let him in.
Belle had been in her own little world before she heard her name. She whipped around. “Bucky?! What are…”
“Please sweetheart. Just hear me out.”
“No. You lied.”
“I didn’t lie.”
“Fine you kept the truth. Same thing.” She rolled her eyes and turned away from him.
“Belle, I’m so sorry. You’re right, ok? But honestly, this was the reason why we didn’t want to tell you. The fear of the unknown. Hey?” He lifted her chin, “you know I would do anything to protect you right?”
He watched a tear fall. “I know. I just wish he wouldn’t have lied.” Belle leaned forward and buried her head in Bucky’s chest, her chest racking with sobs. Bucky understood, this wasn’t about her history. It was the lack of honest information. He held her at he looked at his ex. She was looking worried, having never seen her friend like this for a while. When she looked at him, he could see she was anxious and remorseful. “Li?”
“I just… I’m sorry. For how I acted. For how I treated all of you. She’s my best friend and my twisted way of thinking made me miss everything. I missed you.”
“Oh. Umm,” Bucky was unsure how to proceed. He had missed Lila as well, but his mind was on protecting Belle first. “Look Li, we need to talk about this but I need to protect her first. I really do miss you as well. I just, I need to look after her.”
“I understand.”
“Belle, let me take you to a safe place ok? Not to Steve, not yet. I get it, you need time but I also need you safe.”
Belle didn’t move. Bucky lifted her bridal style as he looked down to see Belle asleep against him, exhaustion from running taking over. He pulled out a phone and made a call. “Diskant, I need a car.” He gave the address. “I’m sorry Li, I need to take her.”
“Where are you going?”
“Brooklyn. I’ve got an apartment there.” She just needs to rest. He leaned over to kiss her cheek. “We’ll talk ok?”
She smiled. “Ok. Just, don’t let anything happen to her. She’s precious.”
“I promise.” He walked out to meet security.
Lila watched him from the door until he disappeared into the elevator. She pulled out her phone and placed a call.
“Brooklyn. He’s taking her to Brooklyn.”
Belle opened her eyes to see an unfamiliar room and she bolted up. She was still dressed, for which she was grateful for, but she had no idea where she was. She had never been in this room, and she scrambled out of bed. She looked out the window to see Brooklyn but before she could get her bearings, the door opened softly. “Belle?”
She breathed a sigh of relief. “Bucky.”
“Good, you’re awake.” He entered the room with a mug of coffee and some toast. “How are you feeling?”
“Confused. I can see we are in Brooklyn but where are we?”
Bucky chuckled. “My apartment.” He could see the confusion on her face. “Did you think if I found a girl, I would just move her in with you and Steve?”
“Frankly, yes.” She giggled. “Thought we were one big happy family.”
“Well, we are but I had this place just in case my dame and I wanted a place of our own.”
“That’s fair.” She follows him to the living room, noting the spacious room and minimalist furniture. “It’s beautiful.”
“Thanks.” He patted the seat next to him and she sat. “So, what’s your plan now?”
“Dunno.” She leaned back and looked to the ceiling. “Does he know I’m here?”
“Not yet. Wanted to see what you wanted to do.” He studied her as she continued to look at the ceiling. “If you really want to leave, I’ll help. Told that punk to tell you but he didn’t listen. Should’ve done it myself but I really thought I was doing the right thing.”
“I know,” she said after a minute. “What time is it?”
“About four. You slept all day.”
“Can we go for a walk? I just wanna get some air.”
“Sure, but Paul’s coming as well. He’ll walk behind, just to keep ya safe.” She nodded and went to the door to pull her shoes on. “Don’t forget your glasses.”
The walked around the neighborhood, each pointing out a place that was special to each other. They stopped for a slice before heading back to the apartment. “So, I know you don’t know what you want to do but I need you to take this.” He handed what looked like a car lock to her.
“What is it?”
“Panic button. If something happens it will send a GPS signal to the penthouse and alert us. I’m not comfortable leavin' ya on your own.”
“Do I have to leave? I mean…”
“No, ya don’t,” Bucky’s accent coming in thick. “But I want ya ta know that I’ll always take care of you.”
Belle’s lower lip wobbled but she didn’t cry. She pocketed the device and took his hand. “Drink?”
“Sure.” They headed to a local dive; Paul ever vigilant behind. They slid into a booth near the back with Bucky sitting with eyes on the door. “If you had to choose…”
“Whiskey sour." She smiled. “I like the occasional hard stuff.”
“Alright, stay here.” Bucky went to the bar to get a drink. He looked back to see a man leering at Belle. He walked back, placing himself between them. “Need something pal?”
“Just talking to this little pretty bird.” The man was large but when Bucky flashed his black metal fist, he slowly back away. “See you around pretty bird.”
Bucky then sat next to Belle. “You ok?”
“Yeah. Haven’t been hit on for a while.” She gave a half smile as a waitress brought the drinks. They sat, listening to the jukebox.
“If you went back,” Bucky started, “would you be able to forgive Steve?”
Belle looked at him. “You already know I’ve started to forgive him.”
“I know,” he replied with a soft smile. “Just wanted you to admit it.”
She sighed. “Do you think I’m overreacting?”
“No. It’s a lot. I never had the chance to meet your dad, but I did my research. He was a good man. Always wanting to do the right thing, even if it meant lying to protect the people he loved.” He gave her a knowing look.
“I hate you,” she mumbled while he laughed. She drained her glass. “Think you could take me home?”
“Home?”
“Yeah, I want to see my husband.” She smiled. “I think I can talk to him rationally now.”
Bucky kissed the top of her head. “Good. C’mon short stuff, let’s get you home.” He signaled to Paul. He threw some money down and headed out. As they walked, he pulled the glasses off her eyes. “Stark did good. Couldn’t find ya till ya hit the doorbell at Lila’s.”
“Was wondering how you did…” she started when Paul yelled out.
“Bucky! Get down!” Paul drew his weapon and fired as the first shots rang out.
Bucky covered Belle but was hit. He collapsed on top of her, blood seeping. “Belle, run,” he whispered.
“Bucky! No!”
“Run! Push the button and run!” He manages to pull himself up and draw his weapon and fired back. Belle watched as Paul was hit and goes down.
“Go now!” Bucky pushed her to the alley way to cover. She reached into her pocket and pushed the button as another round came their way. She dropped the device as Bucky took the round to the shoulder in shielding her. He handed her a phone. “Call Steve. He’ll find you. Go!”
“Bucky!”
“Run!”
Belle ran down the alley as she looked for a place to hide.
In the tower, Steve was trying Bucky again, not understanding the note he left.
Have an idea. Will be back.
“Steve, you are making me dizzy,” Nat said. She checked the computer again. “FRIDAY still doesn’t have any hits.”
“God, she’s out there all alone.” Steve ran a hand through his hair.
“She’s being smart. If we can’t find, neither can they.”
Suddenly the computer flashed a red message: Panic Button Activated
“What the fuck?” A geo-tag popped up and it pinned in Brooklyn.
“FRIDAY see if there is surveillance,” Steve ordered. “Sam...”
“I’m on it.” He jumped out the window and his wings extended as Nat had Friday send him the coordinates.
“Captain, video online,” FRIDAY said.
It was grainy footage outside a bar in Brooklyn. Several bodies were on the floor as flashing lights were in the background. One of the lights flashed and he saw Paul’s face. “Shit!”
“That’s Paul, but who’s that farther down,” Nat asked.
The zoomed over and saw Bucky laying on the floor. “Bucky!” He saw he was still breathing but shallow. He was moving his hands. “What is that?”
Nat zoomed more and saw the movement. “He’s signing."
B-E-L-L-E-D-A-N-G-E-R
“Belle’s in danger.” Steve breathed out, starting to lose focus when his phone rang.
Running through the streets of Brooklyn, Belle never imagined her life would turn out like this. Her past, her history had been leading to this. A history she was unaware of until just a few days ago. She was so angry at everyone. Steve, Tony, Bucky, Sam, Nat, all of them kept it from her. So, she ran. Now, she just wanted to be home, safe in Steve’s arms. But she ran. Why oh why did she run?
She found a diner and tried to calmly enter and sit in the back, low. She knew she needed to become inconspicuous, so she pulled her dark hair into the hood of her sweater, tapped the glasses that Tony had given her to change her eye color and look at her phone. It still had blood on it from where it splattered on her. “Bucky,” she whispered. Bucky shielded her when they were attacked. She had remembered to push her panic button but who knew if Clint or Steve was watching for it. She had dropped it when she started to run, hoping it would save him.
She scrolled to Steve’s number. “Please pick up,” she whispered.
Steve’s deep timbre answered. Isabella? Where are you?
“Steve. I’m in a diner in Brooklyn. Uh,” she looked around, “Sheila’s on 10th. Steve, Bucky…” she sobbed. The tears just streamed down her face.
Belle, we’re on the way. Just stay low. I’m coming for you baby.
“Steve, I’m so scared.”
I know baby, but I’m coming. I love you.
“I love you too. I’m sorry I ran. Please… No!” She screamed as a hand grabbed her, dropping the phone. One man held her, covering her mouth.
Belle?! Isabella?! Steve was yelling in the phone, frantic. He heard movement.
A second man picked up the phone. “You want her, Captain? Come get her.”
Welp, we have come full circle... and with Christmas on Monday, I don't know if you guys want an update or wait...

Mrs. Miller: Chapter 4
Summary- (Before the infection/apocalypse) A look into the life of Mrs. Miller. The good days and the bad. Joel makes sure his love has a good day.
Relationship- Joel Miller X female Reader
Rated: PG (depictions of chronic illness, sickness, and mentions of death.)
Author's note: Wow!!!!! That's all I have to say. I never expected the first things I write on Tumblr to receive so much love. Thank you all so much. Apologies for the wait. I just wanted this installment to be great. Only one more chapter and this story is complete. Thank you all again. Feel free to leave comments and/or suggestions and enjoy.
Word count: 1584
"Morning brother." Tommy greets, shambling through the garage door with his arm full of groceries. Placing the bags on the table with a pant, Joel puts Sarah in her highchair.
"Thank you, Tommy. How much I owe ya’?" fishing his pockets.
"That's a'ight." Tommy waves off.
The eldest Miller shakes his head, retrieving a couple bills.
"Joel, it's ok." Tommy assures him, giving him a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "Hey, Sarah Bean." He coos, giving the toddler's cheek a kiss. She giggles.
Dumping out the bags, Joel begins to chop the watermelon and pineapple into sizable cubes. A handful of each fruit into a blender along with yogurt and coconut milk, making a pretty smoothie.
"I can watch her. Make her breakfast." He volunteers. Rolling his eyes at his brother's distrusting look. "I have my moments, but I'm not stupid." taking a small bowl from the dish rack and filling it with the fruit that he noticed Sarah making grabby hands at. Placing the small bowl in front of Sarah. "Watch her and make sure she doesn't choke," he says, dragging a chair to sit next to the highchair. Giving his niece his undivided attention.
Joel nods, "Holler if anything happens." walking up the steps, mindful of the creaking floorboards beneath his feet. Making his way to their bedroom dark with the curtain drawn a mound of blankets taking a seat .
"Mmmm." sounds from the mound.
"Breakfast." He keeps his voice low.
"----can't----anythin----r'now."
"Maybe you'll feel better if you ate somethin'. Put something on your stomach." He shrugs.
"I doubt it." She grumbles. Lifting the blankets off with her arm, remaining on her side, one eye cracked as she winced. "Feels like my---ead's gonna pop." She groans, struggling to set it up.
"Two sips, take your pill, a nap. Hopefully you feel better tomorrow."
~•~
-A few days later-
Feeling the breeze and fresh air of passing nature. The gentle rocking of Joel's steady driving along the dirt road. Lifting her cup and sipping the last bits of her morning smoothie.
"Good?"
"Very."
His free hand rested on her knee. "No headaches, no migraines." She answers the question written on his face. "Thanks to your smoothie." holding his hand.
A whine catches the parents’ attention. Y/N turns to see Sarah in her carseat, beginning to fuss. "It's okay, baby." She coos, rubbing her hand and belly, until she falls back to sleep. "There we go." She coos. Hand lingering on her tiny foot. The rise and fall of her chest and the tiny twitch of her arm as she dreamed.
"Y/N?"
"Mmm." She just noticed the car was now parked in a lot among others.
"We, ummmm---" he clears his throat. "We never talked about—and we don't have too."
She nods. "I want to. If you want to." She assures.
His eyes darted all around, blinking frantically as his eyes watered and his breath ragged. She reaches out her hand, holding it over his pounding heart. "I…" words choked him as the overwhelming cocktail of emotions clawed its way out. The tears fell closing his eyes tightly; rivers lined his cheeks. "I can't." He manages out. "I can't lose you." tumbling out of his trembling lips.
"You're not losing me." She soothes.
"How are you okay? How are you okay with this?"
"Who says I’m okay?" she corrects. "I'm fuckin’ terrified," she laughs feeling actual relief saying it out loud. "What comforts me and puts all of my fears to rest is knowing that our little girl will have you," drumming her hand on his chest in a calming rhythm that put him at ease. "The kindest, smartest, and most loving father in the entire galaxy," she lists.
"Just the galaxy." He mumbles.
"The universe and life as we know it." She restates her heart warms to see the smallest of smiles on his face.
"I am thankful for each and every second I am gifted to spend with the people who mean the world to me. I'll always be with you." She gives his chest a loving pat. "Someone has to make sure you and your brother don't kill each other." She grips his shoulder, finally meeting his eyes. "C'mere." Both leaning over the console for an embrace after a tender kiss.
"I love you."
"Love you too."
~•~
Y/N coos while smoothing some sunblock onto her daughter's cheeks. "Don't want you to burn, baby girl," she baby talks adjusting a cute white sunhat on her head. Strapped securely to Joel's back in her carrier.
"Never been here before. What was wrong with our usual trail?"
"Something new and a surprise at the end."
"Really." Wiping a trail of sunblock down the bridge of his nose. "Let's get to it."
~•~
They bounced the fussy girl between themselves as she screeched towards a boulder.
"I guess she wants the rock." He chuckles, placing her chubby legs on the ground. She has taken her first steps, but parental worry leads to them always assisting her. Holding Joel's hand, she led the way, toddling over to the rock and smacking her hand against it. She giggles, grinning at her new discovery.
~•~
"Come to Mama." Y/N coached sitting on top of a rock. The boulder's peak reached Joel's hip. She adjusted her footing, preparing to leap for the closest handhold.
"I got you." Joel comforts her by placing a hand on her back.
"Look at that face." Y/N cries with laughter. "My independent girl."
The toddler successfully grabs a hold of the top.
"There we go!"
"You did it!" The parents cheer Sarah, smiling, as she plops into her mom's lap.
"I did." She grins, clapping her hands.
"You did it."
"I did it." She cheeses. "Daddy!" She waves him over.
"Yeah."
"I did it." She informs him of the great news.
"You what?"
"I climb--- mountain." She explains.
"Wow!" He gasps.
"My big girl. Not my wittle baby anymore." She mumbles, blowing raspberries into her neck and cheeks.
Feet back on the ground, the toddler scampered ahead. Bending her knees to pick a handful of wildflowers.
"I'm surprised she likes hiking."
"She's a Texan."
She nods, pushing his shoulder.
"Mommy!" Sarah whines and toddles over, reaching up to be picked up. "Stinky." She makes a face.
"It is stinky." She agrees
"Must be the surprise." Joel smirks.
"A petting zoo." She guesses. "A farm!"
"Sheeee!!!" Sarah says, trying to say sheep.
"Old McDonald had a farm, e-i-e-i-oh. And on that farm he had some sheep." She sang bouncing the child on her hip to the beat of the nursery rhyme. "With a…"
"Baa!"
"That's right!" She praises. "With a baa-baa here and a baa-baa there. Here a baa. There a…"
"Baa." Joel joins with a realistic sheep bleating.
"Everywhere a…"
"Sheeee!" Sarah exclaims, making her parents laugh.
Finding a sign, Y/N walks over to it.
Skimming the welcome greeting.
"A horse riding ranch." She smiles. "Will keep that in mind to check out soon."
"Surprise." He says punctuating with jazz hands.
"What?"
"C'mon. Don't wanna be late." He advises walking through the main entrance.
"Late?" She gasps. "For what?"
She followed her husband, who greeted a person with a horse in tow.
"Oh, my God." She gasps and speeds over to the magnificent pinto. "Look Sarah." She squeals, showing her daughter how to pet a horse. "Hey, horsie," she coos. Stroking its head "You're so pretty." She compliments.
"This is Betsy" The handler informs.
"That's funny." She laughs, looking at Joel. "Get it?"
"I get it."
"I don't think you did."
"Why's that?"
"You would've laughed."
"I don't want to offend Betsy, by saying she looks like a cow." He counters.
"Cows are beautiful and smart. I would take being called a cow a compliment."
"Really?"
"Brave enough to test that theory Mr. Miller." She taunts.
"Nope." He pops the 'p'.
~•~
On the outside of the fence, clapping and whistling as Y/N directed the horse over bars and skillfully around barrels with the aid of the handler.
"Mommy!" Sarah patted her father's face, making sure he was paying attention. "Dada." She pats his face, making him close one eye.
"Yeah," he answers.
"Mama." She points. "Look. Mama."
"I'm looking." He assures a smile never leaves his face. Her laughter rides the wind. The light in her eyes now, a rare sight over the long periods of the pain she had been forced to endure, "Ya!" Y/N barks, the horse going from a trot to a gallop around the pin. The golden glow of the sun, and the wind in her hair, which had grown to a striking pixie cut, framed her face nicely. Pulling the reins and the horse to a stop, looking towards her cheerleaders with a proud smile.
~•~
Back at the car, the sun had gone down, leaving the starry night and moon as their companions on their journey home.
Sarah was soundly asleep in her car seat. Watching silently through the rearview mirror. His gentle touch as he strapped her in, gracing his thumb over her cheek, closed the door, and he slipped into the driver's seat.
After a few moments of silence, his eyes caught hers. "What?" Joel asks, clicking his seatbelt and meeting her eyes.
"Nothin'." She shakes her head, looking ahead.
"Something on my face?" He asks dusting and wiping his face looking into the rearview mirror.
Y/N leans over, placing a tender kiss on his cheek. "Now there is." She snickers, tapping her cheek where she left her lipstick mark.

Things I do not understand about the design of my parents house
Bathroom
The shower head is mounted a foot too low. I'm around 5'10 and my eye level is right where the pipe comes out of the wall. (This is the case for every shower in the house) which means the water starts to hit you around your nipples
The toilet paper holder thing is in between the toilet and the tub and requires an uncomfortable reach, actually hard to use, and so no one does
None of the towel racks are within reach of the tub, there's one on the opposite end of the room and on the opposite side of the toilet
There is a fan - however it just vents into the attic - no actual vent was ever installed - also it's the scariest looking fan ever made, you can put your hand through it. The one downstairs was a complete afterthought, when we moved in there was just a random plug hanging out of the ceiling that went to the fan - which vents into the drop ceiling... of the basement
That's right the bathroom that's in a basement and has no window that can open and also used to have carpet in a house with no HVAC system has NO FUNCTIONAL VENT FAN
There is a window - it's just a regular window that faces the front lawn, so hopefully no one's out there. There's blinds on it, but they're mounted away from the window so you can still absolutely see in if you stand in the right spot
It has an absurd amount of countertop - not really a bad thing, but it's very overkill for a bathroom
The soap tile thing came off the wall and refused to be glued back on - so there's just a big duct tape patch there now
General
The entire downstairs is drop ceiling, yup like an office building.
On top of that the entire downstairs was originally only lit by single bulb fixtures, like for closets, just bare bulbs in a dark, damp basement - except bathrooms which were fluorescent lamps
The basement has a very uncomfortable hallway, it's about 3 feet wider than most hallways and is of course lit by one light bulb
There's a random angled wall here, so one of the rooms has a random angled wall for some reason
The house has TWO water heaters, a more common full size one and a smaller like half sized one. Guess which ones plumbed to the showers - that's right the small one, the big one is only connected to the kitchen sink, washer, and the nasty added on shower in the garage that no one has ever used.
Right - there's technically a third bathroom, it is IN the garage, i mean it's literally added on it's like a box that just juts out into the room. No one has used this bathroom as it is - like i said in the garage and thus smells of dust and mold and also there's no floor.
The floor plan is very odd, there's a BIG room and I mean big on both the first floor and the basement, and lots of tiny rooms, including the one my parents tried to move me too, which is quite frankly too small for a twin bed what you're supposed to do with a room that size I don't know.
There's no water filter of any kind here, not really a big deal, although the water is literally pumped out of the ground so uh sediment is in everything - like, the water filter for drinking has dirt in the top of it
The dust the downstairs of this house has dust like no other dust, the networking stuff is out in the garage where the dust is the worst, and it's killed 2 ethernet switches and a modem, it's this thick brown dust that - even though the house has been cleaned - will never go away
The deck - which is covered in plastic fake grass terf carpet and is nasty - is actually held up by a big iron rod that was clearly added much later than when the house was built, along with a much newer staircase
There's just a big gap in the wall on the side of the carport with a 5 foot drop - no one knows why it's there
Oh yeah also- the carport is on top of the garage - the garage is not accessible for cars, as it's on the basement level, so hearing a car roll ON TOP OF THE ROOM YOU'RE IN is really nerve-wracking
There were no lights of any kind originally installed in the back of the garage, it was literally permanently dark (the part under where the cars park btw
I mentioned the lack of HVAC - the house does has an oil-burning furnace - which smells of oil and makes a loud BANG every time it turns on and off
The stairs
The stairs don't really fit so there's no landing and instead there's a angled stair to rotate into the hall basically right across where the landing should be - I've tripped and nearly died on this a lot.
The stairs have only one light, at the top, which is almost impossible to reach to change bulbs, (you have to put a ladder at the top so you're at risk of falling down the entire stairwell if you fuck up) oh and this means the weird angled step is ALSO in the dark :)
The stairs extend out into the hall which is great for tripping over and dying on the concrete floor.
I'm living in the house of leaves

It frees up valuable floor space so you can park your car or use it for other storage needs.
How to Choose the Right Storage Solution for Your Garage
Think about what the shelves will be used for. For example, plastic or wire shelving might be a good choice if you only need a place to store some boxes or light items. But metal shelving would be a better choice if you want to store heavier things.
The amount of space you have is another thing to think about. If you have a lot of extra space, shelves that go all the way to the ceiling might be a good choice. But if you have a smaller space, shorter shelves would be better.

Photos over the course of the morning:
So, this is the space I have to work with. The only thing I can think of why Rolly would have installed an over-large toilet in the basement bathroom is that he liked to sit there to poop and didn’t want his dangle touching the rim.
It’s very much in the way.
I NEED counter space to work, so moved some stuff around and added a tiny shelving unit that just barely fits into the space between the sink and the wall. The sink leaks so I keep the faux drawer front off of the front of the cabinet...
Wrangled a bench under there for extra storage space. The bench is wider than the table so doesn’t exactly fit.
There’s ONE power outlet. It is a small bathroom. It’s very funny to me that Scott was just shaking his head at his father having run power strips around the bathroom and here I am stuck doing the same thing. Mine’s not zip-tied to the wall, though, and the outlet part isn’t right above the sink. It’s on the back of the too-big toilet. I don’t like having a toilet in my workspace, but no one ever uses it, so it’s just a bowl of blue water. I flush it now and then to keep it fresher and that’s it.
But then I took my small utility carts down there and had to move the table and bench again to make room. I do prefer the table not cutting off half the walkway.
Drying rack is back in the shower. I have to be very careful what I put in the shower because it can and did leak. I also can’t put anything over the back of the toilet because I need to be able to access it if it starts leaking again.
I took out the toilet paper holder and the towel rack because both were in the way. I should take down the shower rod. It’s just tension and installed crooked, but everything I take down reveals lots and lots of holes and missing paint. Rolly didn’t take them down to paint (and apparently doesn’t know how to decide where to drill a hole for a screw swiss cheese walls what the fuck), and I didn’t, either when I repainted.
BUT Pony Cart also needed to go in there, which meant the table and shelf had to come out, and that sucks because that’s all of the counter space. I NEED counter space. I’m used to having an approx 1ft by 1.5ft segment of counter space.
If I hadn’t depressed enough at this point because I’m having to cram myself into a windowless bathroom, I was then. I’m claustrophobic. This was unpleasant.
Right now this is all the workspace I have. If I were able I’d get and install a different sink vanity thing that had some counter space. I can’t do that because money. I was going to put all of my bottles of T.A. on the bottom of this shelf thing but I don’t think it can take the weight, tbh. They’ll go in the shower.
Rearranged a little, again, and that’s better. Dehumidifier will probably be on top of that gold plastic table there, with the hose pointing at the shower drain which is just below it.
I need to take the pony bins down, still, and clean up the kitchen because I’ve made a mess up there dumping things off of workstations to get to the furniture.
I also need to find a place to store the small appliances when they’re not in use. I was keeping the mini crock pot and ozone generator on the table in there, but it’s gone. I’ll need to take my electric kettle down, too. It’s ONLY used for doll and pony hair.
I’m tired. It’s all futile. I comply here, he starts poking his nose elsewhere shrinking and shrinking my space.
Obviously, all work is off until the dehumidifer gets here or else the basement will explode into mold again.
Removing the resin jugs did immediately improve the air quality. Those are out in the garage.
I still need to move the SunBox down, two large and one medium storage unit, all of my dolls, and my computer and things (I’m not sure there even are enough outlets down there to accommodate my computer, not that I really trust Rolly’s electrical work), which I guess will go where the unused sewing machine is.
Act like my stuff is unwelcome in his space, see how he likes having no me near him at all.
