GENERAL WORLD BUILDING
“Garage kit idols” are a semi-independent response to the international phenomenon that is H○○○○○○ M○○○ and company.
Almost all formal “garage kit” talent begins at one of the many production, distribution, and management offices spread across the country. These offices provide approved talent agencies with the development kits necessary to “scout” new idols.
Of these development kits, there are several packages available (each being more expensive and in-depth than the last), most of which include a rudimentary neural net, a foundational chassis, an instructional guide, and the software required to “train” the net.
The lowest end packages include only the fundamental elements necessary for a functional idol, such as the capacity for CV voice synthesis, basic dance coordination, and a semi-life-like “face,” while more expensive and in-depth packages support multiple vocal libraries, more life-like bodies, additional personality modules, added expressive bonuses, and more.
To prevent damages to the office’s reputation, however, most offices require that an agency aiming to “scout” a new idol must first submit an application stating—among other things—their project plans and a three year timeline of what they hope to accomplish with their idol. If approved, this plan becomes a three year contract, at the end of which the agency and idol will be evaluated and potentially brought on for a full seven year office-endorsed contract.
While some “garage kit idols” have achieved near legendary status (such as K○○○○○ T○○○), many of these idols do not survive their three year trial period. Those who do not have their license and warranty revoked (the consequences of which depend on the office), and often are encouraged to be decommissioned and recycled to make way for a new, hopefully more successful generation. In years pasts, some idols have even forcibly decommissioned following grave transgressions or scandals.
That being said, plenty of former “garage kit idols” merely slip under the radar once their time is up, and go on to become independent, non-idol performers, or even leave the music industry all together. Repairs, however, often become an issue after three to five years of unserviced use. Often, it is difficult to find a former “garage kit idol” who’s been out of warranty for more than five or so years.
All this being said, of course, this process only accounts for “formal Garage Kit talent.” There are plenty of independently developed vocal androids, though they’re not often seen beyond local and private performances. They’re definitely more resource intensive to produce, though many fans argue most have more heart in them than any “Garage Kit Idol” ever will.
SALVADOR’S PERSONAL TIMELINE
Originally created by a small team of five individuals as the “garage kit idol” M○○○○○ using a modest but lower-end dev kit, his agency’s plan was to—by the end of this three years—make him reasonably popular in a local area, book three sold out in-house performances, and sell at least 300 CDs across all three years.
With spirits high and hope abound, he received a great deal of support and enthusiasm from his agency in the first year.
Though a lot of prospective fans at the time weren’t interested in getting emotionally invested in a “garage kit idol” (considering they’re a dime a dozen and probably wouldn’t last more than three years anyhow), by 8 months into his career, SALVADOR had developed a small, dedicated fan following that ensured that most street meets and housed performances drew in a crowd of at least 15 to 30 people. By 9 months in, they'd booked their first "sold-out" show in a small venue near his normal stomping grounds.
Hands were shaken, CDs were sold, and the numbers bolstered the spirit of the agency. It seemed like the dream would come true.
Side note: it's vaguely around in here that he first picked up his "rival," Ayano, who somehow kept setting up shop on the same street as him, much to his annoyance. His initial impression was that she was gruff, crude, and wholly unsuited for idol work, though over time he stopped looking down his nose at her and started finding a certain charm in how she'd unabashedly yell at people who didn't tip well, or leap off her stand to viciously beat up any critics.
... Unfortunately, however, the numbers plateaued and fell rather than climb. Dedicated fans would still roll up to the regular performances (and SALVADOR's popularity managed to just scrape in enough ticket sales for a second show), but the company was nowhere close to breaking 100 CDs, much less selling out another show. The company spirit dampened.
All the while, SALVADOR's feelings surrounding performing started to become muddled, leaving him frustrated and uneasy before shows and bordering on nauseous after. He slowly grew to resent the way his fans looked at him, and often lost himself in thought wishing that he could have any other idol's fans instead.
He really, honestly, truly looked to Ayano as a source of light during this time, and wished he could have the confidence she had to bite patrons who so much as looked at her funny. Unfortunately, she disappeared out of the blue one day, and never returned to idol work.
More than a few fans started to complain that SALVADOR seemed “insincere” and “curt” during fan meets and off-stage encounters, which the agency redirected unto SALVADOR swiftly. His attempts at confessing his problems and seeking support were met with pointed comments and implied blame for his lack of success, which all but turned the latch on his heart, causing him to bury his discontent in as deep a hole as he could muster.
By the midway point of year two, it was becoming clear the dream wasn’t panning out. His growing revulsion privately festering in his heart, SALVADOR poured every bit of himself into his idol persona, increasingly his workload exponentially in an attempt to get his agency back on his side. Most fans stopped coming after a while once the concerts started to feel more and more desperate.
The final months before the contract expired were spent in a pitiful, frantic haze saturated with self-advertisement, frantic CD sales, enlistment of what few agency members would call him back (though these dwindled by the day), and desperate attempts at avoiding his fate. Many who knew him at the time would remember seeing him overburdened with cheaply printed CDs, begging anyone who would listen (in perfect idol fashion, however), to “buy a CD and rescue a poor aspiring idol from her demise.” When merch ran out, he sold anything he could get his hands on (as long as it came with several CDs).
The final nail in the coffin was the first and only concert SALVADOR booked himself, which he spent months preparing and advertising for (in hopes of meeting the third successful performance goal), only to open for a practically empty house composed primarily of drifters and only half-interested strangers (their enthusiasm not at all helped by the physical damage he’d obtained only a few days prior). He went "home" to a warranty expiration warning pushed under the office door, and nothing but empty voicemails from the people who had brought him into the world.
The months following the contract’s expiration remain a dark, hazy blur. Lots of unanswered calls, heart-wrenching notices, and persistent harassment by representatives of the office that had originally leased out SALVADOR's dev kit to begin with. Of course, no one from his agency was around to answer calls, so SALVADOR was left alone to bare the brunt of the responsibility (another point that they leveraged against him in an attempt to get him to retire).
In the midst of it all, SALVADOR started his transition. Months of harassment had brought his emotions to a boiling point (he all but marinated in an ever-constant stew of self-loathing, disgust, and frustration), and though it'd originally been in an attempt to escape the solicitation, cutting his hair ended up shedding some light on everything he’d felt before.
He slipped out of the office in the middle of the night and skipped town, ditching his uniform in favor of a pair of cheap coveralls and taking the first train that would have him. He still remembers staring into his reflection in the window, fans blasting hot air, terrified that he'd made some mistake (but also feeling a kind of lightness and euphoria he'd never felt before).
He ended up settling a couple cities away, far from the heart of the "garage kit idol" phenomenon. Unable to seek repairs for his last minute injuries (and finding that of the few android repair shops there were, none would take him without reassurance that he was still under warranty), he started researching mechanics on his own, patching himself up and offering some services to newfound acquaintances on the side.
In time, his skills had earned him some notoriety—at least to the point that his name had made it to the ears of some powerful friends, who were more than willing to lease him a workshop to continue his craft (the moment he first turned the lights on will remain burned in his memory forever).
And so the new SALVADOR began: a repair mechanic who’s first job was taking himself apart and rebuilding himself in a new image, completely separate from his idol past—a past he was certain would remained buried up until a certain former "rival" re-entered his life.

Cassie's dad ported in the New Faz boxes in SB-RUIN.
It's probable that Cassie's father is the one. (Or was. Not confirmed.) That installed the new ports in the Pizza Plex to restore access to them. The evidence is this. When Cassie walks down the boiler room, just past the first encounter with Chica, she finds the Faz Wrench. She picks it up, and examines it.
While she examined it she makes a comment saying, "This is a Faz Wrench! It looks just like my dads." Gives us a very strong clue of Cassies dad once worked here, and is the technician that created the Faz wrench, and ported the wall gadgets!
It also, is true that the workers had in fact did try to restore, mostly repair the Pizza plex, at that point. Giving it a go. But ultimately had given up. And that's another thing with the SB Pizza Plex, that apparently some of the attractions was never finished.
Foxy's ride in Ruin. And the Kid's cove was left unused. Maybe it was. But it was left unused afterwards, when they tried out new attractions.
Even while the Pizza Plex was still running, and funchional. In the undergrounds with the sewers, I get the Impression that the Junk in there, looks like to be a foreshadow to the ruins. Especially, of how run down and un hidden it looked in there. The Daycare junction at the back of that control room, where you remove the TV with the VANNI mask.
In that area. And even though the placement of it, was a little cluttered, with the extra pieces scraped from the daycare. But, it's environment in there, doesn't look that different, from what the SB game, from what it looked like originally.
So, it's Interesting to notice with the care from the company, with how the storage rooms were still disorganized. With the sewers being run down. The Pizza Plex during the present day, had imperfected locations that is so mysterious than how it is in Ruin.-Just more cluttered.
Anyway, while most workers has given up. And while others speaking of FNAF lore. Have disappeared. One person in particular, cared about the Plaza so much. Did not give up on it. Was Cassie's father.
He tried to install the new boxes, that hasn't been used in some time. Which further speculates the possible fate for Cassie's father. It looks like, he has used it recently. The traces of it was exposed, and left on top of the tool boxes, when he left it behind.
This clue imply's that he must went off to do something, or get something. But hasn't came back. This alone, is likely that he might actually still be there. But it's unknown, for how long he's been down here before. Or if he is trapped up somewhere, and Cassie wouldn't off known.
That means that Cassies dad has tried to work on the Pizza Plex, even though he can't possibly restore it. But he had tried to give it extensions, because he felt like it's still worthy. Those ports did not exist in those locations when tracing through again.
For example: The door at the end of the raceway, with the arcade section with the paint shelves, and princess quest 2. The door was blocked off. But in Ruin, the hallway that Cassie had went up after passing the east server room. It was unblocked. The timeline existing from the SB work, and the Ruin work has been changed.
They tried to fix it up, but the rooms were unavailable. Then, you have one port location found in Ruin, but wasn't there in SB. Is one in Bonnies Bowl. The port that was found, around the garage area, where the last node was found. Was not there in SB. But it's there in Ruin, when you go over to it to open the door.
So that shows, that the doors. (Some of the shutters.) They did not work in SB. In RUIN, Cassie's father installed the devices for the doors that gained access to them, to bring it back to them with those devices.

here's the explanation (and for the record, like most people in the US, i hate homeowners associations as they currently exist)
so one kind of housing is called a "condo" or condominium. This is like if your house was actually an apartment in an apartment complex, like this
Tumblr media
in fact the only real difference between an apartment and a condo is owned vs. rented.
So in this situation, you own your unit, you can sell it, you can renovate it, etc etc. But some things need to be group decisions or have group consent -- for example, if you want to remodel but the new plumbing would cut off water to the next unit over. Or if the electric junction box that services the entire building needs to be repaired, who pays for that? Similarly, where people's guests park etc may effect everyone who lives there.
So in these kinds of situations (other housing units like town houses also have these issues) it makes sense to have a property management group that residents can participate in, either by taking a position on the building administration board itself, or voting on propositions like when the building needs new exterior paint, or attending monthly meetings and letting their opinions be heard. That is the origin and purpose of an HOA. Many of these housing situations include some amount of open use property, be it an entire swimming pool everyone can use, or just the strip of grass and four trees along the front of the building that needs to be serviced, and so usually there is some kind of monthly fee or building fund that goes toward general building maintenance and shared resources.
Okay so what started to happen was, private development companies started to buy huge chunks of land and build entire suburban neighborhoods all at once. And they would include neighborhood amenities like little parks or open areas.
like this
Tumblr media
or this
Tumblr media
which is great. But those parks are not owned by the city, they are technically private property. But who owns it? The neighborhood owns it. If you live in a neighborhood of 50 houses with one of these parks, you own 1/50th of this park. But the park needs to be mowed and the trees need to be cared for, and the fences need to be repaired, and the fountain water needs to be paid for, and the benches need to be painted... not to mention a nice neighborhood might have center divides down the middle of the roads with grass and trees, and street lights and street lamps, and even, depending on the state and county laws, the streets themselves, including repaving and gutter drain maintenance and all that.
So you form an HOA with membership fees and that's how all that gets done. So far, all that makes sense.
NOW IS WHERE IT STARTS TO GET SHITTY
Because the private developers are the ones that started to set up the HOAs, so the very first people who bought houses in these neighborhoods had to sign on. And it might take 3-5 years to sell every house in the neighborhood. So even if there were ZERO parks and public spaces, even if the city did all the street maintenance etc, the private developers structured the HOA rules to make the neighborhood like the set of a commercial.
No weird art, no painting your house unapproved colors -- my friend was in one HOA that stipulated no leaving your car parked in your own driveway; your car had to be in your garage and the garage door had to be closed, unless you were currently actually out in your driveway or garage doing something.
All this is so that when prospective buyers drive around looking at the neighborhood wondering if they want to buy a house there, it all looks as attractive as possible, keeping property values high and maintaining curb appeal for selling all the homes. Often these private developers include a contract for buyers with stipulations like the HOA cannot change any of the rules until the last house is sold.
And of course the people most likely to WANT to be on the HOA board doing the administration and enforcing the rules are total karens, and therefor even after changing the rules becomes technically possible, it would mean the people who least want the job spending a huge amount of time and effort getting the karens out of their positions of power, and their prize for succeeding is they now have a whole-ass part time job they don't get paid for, overseeing the actual stuff an HOA is good for.
And that's why it's almost impossible to buy a house now without being forced to sign into an HOA you hate the rules of. It sucks ass.
I'd care a lot more about it, but i'm never going to be able to buy a house anyway, so to hell with all of it i guess. Anyway, that's why HOAs are the way they are.

The Ultimate Guide to Garage Door Repair
Tumblr media
Introduction
Your garage door is an essential part of your home, providing security, convenience, and curb appeal. But like any other part of your house, it requires regular maintenance and occasional repairs. Whether it's a minor fix or a major overhaul, knowing where to turn for reliable garage door repair is crucial. In this blog, we'll explore the importance of choosing the right garage door repair company and why Prestige Garage Doors CA should be your go-to choice. If you're searching for "garage door repair near me" or "garage door repair in my area," read on to discover why our services are unmatched.
Why Regular Garage Door Maintenance is Important
Garage doors are used frequently, sometimes multiple times a day. Over time, this regular use can lead to wear and tear on various components, including springs, cables, rollers, and the garage door opener. Without proper maintenance, small issues can escalate into significant problems, potentially compromising the safety and functionality of your garage door.
Safety: A malfunctioning garage door can pose serious safety risks, from falling doors to faulty sensors. Regular maintenance ensures that safety features like auto-reverse mechanisms are working correctly.
Longevity: Just like any other mechanical system, your garage door will last longer if it's properly maintained. Regular inspections can identify parts that need lubrication, adjustment, or replacement before they fail.
Common Garage Door Problems and How We Fix Them
At Prestige Garage Doors CA, we specialize in diagnosing and fixing a wide range of garage door issues. Here are some of the most common problems homeowners face:
Broken Springs: One of the most common issues, broken springs can cause your garage door to malfunction. Replacing springs is a task that requires expertise and should be handled by professionals.
Faulty Garage Door Opener: Whether it's a problem with the remote control or the opener unit itself, we can troubleshoot and repair the issue, ensuring your garage door opens and closes smoothly.
Worn-Out Cables and Rollers: Over time, cables can fray and rollers can wear out, leading to uneven or noisy operation. We replace these components to restore your door's functionality.
Why Choose Prestige Garage Doors CA?
When it comes to garage door repair, not all companies are created equal. Here’s why Prestige Garage Doors CA stands out from the competition:
Expert Technicians: Our team consists of highly trained and experienced technicians who can handle any garage door issue. From simple repairs to complex installations, we’ve got you covered.

Affordable Pricing: Quality service doesn’t have to break the bank. We offer competitive pricing and transparent quotes, so you know exactly what to expect.
Customer Satisfaction: Our reputation is built on a foundation of excellent customer service. We take pride in our work and strive to exceed our customers' expectations.
How to Choose the Right Garage Door Repair Company
With so many options available, choosing the right garage door repair company can be overwhelming. Here are some tips to help you make the best choice:
Check Reviews and Ratings: Look for companies with positive reviews and high ratings. This can give you an idea of the quality of service you can expect.
Ask for Recommendations: Word-of-mouth referrals from friends, family, or neighbors can be invaluable. They can provide first-hand insights into the reliability and quality of a company's work.
Verify Credentials: Ensure the company is licensed and insured. This protects you in case of any accidents or damages during the repair process.
Get Multiple Quotes: Don’t hesitate to get quotes from multiple companies. This can help you compare pricing and services to find the best value.
Conclusion
Your garage door is an essential part of your home, and ensuring it's in good working condition is crucial for your safety and convenience. Whether you're dealing with a minor issue or need a complete overhaul, Prestige Garage Doors CA is your trusted partner for all your garage door repair needs. Finding the Perfect Fit: Your Guide to Garage Door Repair in My Area
A malfunctioning garage door can be a major inconvenience. It can disrupt your daily routine, leave your car exposed, and even pose a security risk. But don't worry! Finding a reputable garage door repair in my area is easier than you might think. This guide will equip you with the knowledge to find the perfect fit for your needs, ensuring a smooth and efficient repair process.
Identifying the Problem
Before searching for repair services, take a moment to diagnose the issue with your garage door. Common problems include:
Door not opening or closing: This could be caused by a faulty opener, broken springs, or a malfunctioning sensor.
Unusual noises: Grinding, screeching, or clanging noises during operation indicate potential issues with the tracks, rollers, or opener mechanism.
Uneven movement: A door that tilts or jams could be due to misaligned tracks, loose hardware, or worn-out rollers.
Remote control malfunction: A dead battery or damaged remote might be the culprit behind a non-responsive opener.
By pinpointing the problem, you can better communicate the issue to potential repair companies and get a more accurate estimate.
Searching for Service Providers
Now that you have a better understanding of the problem, it's time to find a repair service. Here are some effective ways to search for reputable companies in your area:
Online Directories: Search engines like Google and Bing can be your starting point. Look for "[garage door repair near me]" and explore the listed companies.
Review Platforms: Sites like Angi, HomeAdvisor, and Yelp offer customer reviews and ratings for garage door repair services. Reading reviews can give you valuable insights into a company's customer service, quality of work, and pricing practices.
Manufacturer Referrals: If you have a specific brand of garage door opener, check the manufacturer's website for a list of authorized repair companies in your area.
Local Hardware Stores: Many hardware stores carry garage door parts and accessories. They might also maintain relationships with local repair service providers and offer recommendations.
Evaluating Potential Repair Companies
Once you have a shortlist of potential service providers, take some time to evaluate each one carefully. Here are some key factors to consider:
Licensing and Insurance: Ensure the company has a valid business license and carries liability and worker's compensation insurance.
Experience and Expertise: Look for companies that have been in business for several years and employ experienced technicians.
Customer Reviews and Ratings: Read online reviews and customer testimonials to get a sense of the company's reputation and customer service.
Services Offered: Does the company offer repairs for all types of garage doors and openers, or do they specialize in certain brands?
Pricing Transparency: Get quotes from multiple companies to compare pricing and ensure the service is within your budget.
Warranty: Inquire about the warranty offered on repairs. A reputable company will back their work with a warranty for parts and labor.
Making the Final Decision
After careful consideration, choose a garage door repair company that checks all the boxes for your needs. Don't hesitate to ask questions and clarify any doubts you might have before scheduling a service call. Here are some additional tips for a smooth experience:
Be prepared to describe the problem in detail. The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for the technician to diagnose the issue and provide an accurate estimate.
Schedule the appointment at a convenient time. Some companies offer evening or weekend appointments to accommodate busy schedules.
Get everything in writing. Ensure you receive a written estimate outlining the work to be done, the cost of parts and labor, and the warranty terms.
Be present during the repair. This allows you to ask questions and understand the repairs being performed.
By following these steps, you can find a reliable garage door repair service in your area and get your garage door functioning properly again in no time. Remember, a well-maintained garage door not only enhances curb appeal but also ensures the safety and security of your home.

A1 Garage Door Consumer Alert: Beware of Scams When Searching for Garage Door Repair Near You
Tumblr media
Are you under the impression that searching for garage door repair near me will only display genuine local providers? Think again. Let me shed some light on why that's not always the case.
Did you know that the garage door business is teeming with fraudsters? This unfortunate reality has led to several garage door company owners being incarcerated and even blacklisted from major search engines like Google. It's a pervasive issue that has garnered attention in various trade publications.
Google Local Services is a platform where companies are listed on Google. While there's a verification process to be listed here, it's disheartening to note that some deceptive companies have managed to circumvent this verification process.
With the introduction of Google Local Services, Google AdWords has taken somewhat of a backseat. However, when you search for "garage door service in my area," these garage door repair businesses often appear at the top of the search results. The catch? There's fierce competition among these businesses, sometimes leading to bidding wars where the cost per click on their websites can soar up to $150. Moreover, only a fraction of those who click on these ads actually end up making a call. Imagine shelling out $300 to $600 for just a call! To make it financially viable for them to respond, they may need to charge at least $1,000 or more. The main issue with Google AdWords for both garage door repair businesses and consumers is that people in urgent need, often overlooking local businesses with solid recommendations, opt for this option. In such situations, getting someone to their doorstep promptly becomes the priority.
One can easily identify the Google Local Services section as it lists garage door repair companies that have supposedly undergone a verification process. However, even this verification process can be manipulated by unscrupulous businesses. To spot a genuine local garage door repair company, look out for names that don't seem overly spammy. If the name reads something like "garage door repair" or "garage door spring repair near me," steer clear as they're likely spam.
While scrolling through search results, you might come across organic listings for national companies. Although they may rank higher, they often provide reliable results, especially when local options are limited.
Before choosing a garage door repair service, it's crucial to conduct thorough research. Check reviews across multiple platforms to ensure you're making the right decision.
If you're in Pittsburgh, PA, or the surrounding areas and need assistance with your garage doors, rest assured that A1 Garage Door has experienced and skilled technicians available for same-day repairs on all brands, styles, and configurations.

A Garneau-area condo building has been struggling with heating issues, leaving residents to find another place to stay as the complex was evacuated.
On Saturday, Strathcona House residents got notice that the building's boiler had failed and required a full shutdown. This meant that the entire tower would be without heat until repairs were completed.
"As there is no heat and no domestic water, the building is no longer deemed habitable," an evacuation notice to residents read. "All residents will need to make alternate arrangements for accommodations."
Several unit owners previously told CTV News Edmonton that the building's parking access door had broken in November, leaving the garage open to the elements. That caused heating issues, flooding, and frozen pipes.
Emma Lawczynski has called the building home for more than three years. Her landlord told her the news this past weekend that she would have to take what she needed and leave the building for the time being.
"They were going to have to flush out all the water so that the pipes wouldn't freeze," she told CTV News Edmonton.
She moved to Strathcona House to be close to the University of Alberta. Now she is staying with family in the west end.
"I am very lucky, I have family in the city," Lawczynski said. "But I now have a commute.
CTV News Edmonton observed a sign Monday posted to residents saying in part, "The boiler has been restarted and moderate heat has been restored."
According to provincial minimum housing standards, a building should have a minimum temperature of 22 degrees Celsius during winter.
The property management company has asked residents to hold on to any receipts for expenses associated with the evacuation. Staff will also be monitoring suites regularly to check for any water and add anti-freeze to drains.
There is no timeline for when residents will be allowed to stay in their suites. Lawczynski has had to pay out of pocket to kennel her cat.
"It's tough to have to worry about paying rent here but also bringing my groceries somewhere else," Lawczynski said. "I think all of us are frustrated."

Garage Door Installation Sacramento
Garage doors are a common sight in homes. They provide protection and security to your home, as well as an aesthetic element to enhance the look of your property. Garage doors come in different styles, but they all have one thing in common: they open up and close automatically by using a motor.
A garage door opener is used with these systems to help you open and close your garage door quickly without having to do it manually every time. A typical garage door opener has two parts--the control panel that's located inside the house, which communicates with sensors on each side of the garage; and an electric motor installed inside or outside of the structure itself that raises or lowers both sides simultaneously when activated by pressing buttons on either side (these buttons can either be wireless remote controls or manual switches).
