hello bleu! raven cycle au my beloved and also my WAAAGHHHHHH

Scar is Gansey, Grian is Blue, Jimmy...is Noah (sobs) and then. they arent EXACTLY ronan and adam, but filling in similar roles are Bdubs and Etho respectively. ALSO THIS i find this very fun: Pearl, Cleo, and Gem, are Maura, Cala, and Persephone.

it is less one cohesive story and more me writing out scenes and plotlines that i choose from the books and placing life series characters into them,, I know you know the trc plot (and I also know you know that saying "trc plot" is a bit of an oxymoron <3) so I won't go too in detail,, but if I had to put it into a few sentences:

Grian has been told by every psychic he's ever met that if he were to kiss his true love, they'd die. At the beginning of the story, he learns that true love is Scar—Scar who it's known is fated to die sometime within the next year. Grian keeps this curse of his—and Scar's involvement in it—a secret, because at the moment he's not too fond of the man, and besides, Scar has his own quest going on; Scar—alongside his gang, Etho, Bdubs, and Jimmy—are searching for the burial ground of an old Welsh King, because it's said that those who can find and wake him will be granted a wish.

The scene that is currently mostly written takes place 3/4 of the way through book one, and it is to be Scar and Grian's first solo outing in their journey for Scar to find his king. It's...an important scene for them in terms of seeing and understanding one another, and also,,,, in revealing something vital about their friend group and their quest.

my beloved fellow ronsey enthusiast I would do anything 1) for you and 2) to talk abt them some more so here I go!!!!

pynch is my personal favorite romantic/endgame pairing for ronan like they will always be what I come back to for many reasons, at the end of the day I love love love ronan and adam BUT!!! but! that does NOT keep me from doing thorough and frequent explorations of ronsey in my mind bc I am, to put it simply, also obsessed with them. it's also rlly easy for me to do bc the ronsey dynamic is just so different, from both pynch and from genuinely anything else I have ever seen like there is something abt the connection and relationship that belongs solely to them and cannot be influenced by any other event or relationship in either of their respective lives bc they are each so much a part of who the other is. there r romantic elements to it but it's also something beyond romance to me even though I do also like ronsey in a romantic context (anyone who has any good fics send them my WAYYYY)!!! but beyond that there is just something sooooo compelling to me abt the way the connection is neither completely romantic or completely platonic but rather being the result of this kind of love and devotion that is so intense it cannot be contained within or defined by any traditional parameters.

i think the ronan devotion post I made a few weeks ago best sums up what really gets to me on his side of things (tldr being that the most important thing to ronan is being dependable to gansey, earning his place as the one he looks to first and keeping it by being able to provide exactly what it is that he wants as soon as he asks for it) but im also so taken with the way that gansey understands he has been given the very rare oppurtunity of being shown ronan's heart, knowing the soft and loving and passionate thing that it is no matter how much ronan tries to hide it from others by wrapping himself in barbed wire and sharp words, and committing himself to holding it safe and never letting himself or ronan forget what it truly is. ronan (esp in the earlier books) hates himself so much, can hardly live with who he is and tries to deal with it by making it difficult for anyone else to do so, and gansey simply says no. i remember who you are. i remember how you love. and I'm not forgetting it and I won't let you either. you can't scare me off- i'm afraid for you but I will never be afraid of you. you marvelous creature. just carrying this part of ronan with him that ronan thought had died along with his father, keeping it safe so that when he's ready he can have it back again. loving him in a way that keeps him from losing himself. i just simply will never be over it or able to put it into enough words, I'm always marvelling at what they share w each other and the ways they remind me how love can save you.

ps. this was a lot less thought out than most of the posts I make on them I kinda just started rambling abt whatever came to mind bc I'm thinking abt them in different ways every day LMAO so I hope that these r the kind of ronsey thoughts u wanted to hear and were at least partially coherent bc the hangover is kicking my ass a bit hahah xoxox <3

when the world is one color (pynch, 2k). so this is the first of the many one shots i managed to write and post last year and i'm very happy with how it turned out! aka how to combat being cold with hugs (missing scene, post-trk, pre-epilogue)

but for their voices (pynch, 5k). this was very exciting to write bc it was fun to explore adam's thought process in this cdth-inspired au. aka adam is not unkowable if you stare at him long enough (different meeting au, college)

a persimmon (pynch, 1k). oh dear i struggled so hard to finish this little piece bc there were many different things i wanted to include, but i'm quite happy with the result! aka adam panics bc he's horny (missing scene during ch. 39 of trk)

the puppeteer (pynch, 3k). i made myself cry while writing this one. aka once upon a dream (sickfic, mi-adjacent)

The toga party was so fun, I loved seeing Blue and the Vancouver crowd just get along, they had fun, it was just all domestic and we really saw how much Blue and Gansey gravitate towards each other and want to be able to just casually touch each other. Plus seeing a different side of Henry was so nice, the mask he wears came off and gosh I love him
