The joker is a 5 man comedy troupe that couldn't get over how they flopped on social media and just kept escalating in the hopes that somehow it'd get them views.

Truly a tragedy that after a decade of fighting Batman the channel attained a cumulative 127 views, and is still unknown.

i think if you put the joker in a modern setting and someone doesn't call him gamzee you are creating a timeline where homestuck doesnt exist

So I’ve recently finished Price of Forgiveness and in it there is a character that is unnamed, undescribed, and the only mention of her is that she holds Gamzee’s hand for comfort and dies before reinforcements come.

UNACCEPTABLE

My exact comment to @birchbow was:

“I’ve chosen a name, I am designing her and giving her fanart and taking over joint oc custody. Her name is Deyaz Eiaray (pronounced like the Latin death poem/song, Dies Irae) and I love her”

The answer I got was:

“Hell yeah I've sung plenty of dies iraes in various choirs over the years, haha. I'm all about it, please picture me stamping her dead forehead with a comically huge APPROVED rubber stamp”

So here we are!

Her name is Deyaz Eiaray, a newly minted Laughsassin with lofty dreams of becoming Prima Ballereaper of her Dancebattle troupe. Her birthday is March 15th, she has a huge hatecrush on a subjuggulator girl that was in her advanced strife specibus handling class, and she’s been having a rough time lately because her Moirail -a pretty Teal Propagandartist - got murdered by accident by her (now ex) Ashenmates. Her Chucklevoodoos are strong and empathetic, allowing her to affect the emotions of others far more than most can. She also has the lesser known ability to Recognize The Doomed To Be Dead - that is, to know when someone will die, but only after it’s too late to save them.

cursed by choosing cosplays off of what seems most interesting to construct from a piece of media i enjoy and am familiar with so that two of the cosplays i really went all out with were shalnark as a 16 year old (like. its whatever but as a kurapika stan i dont want to look like i’m obsessed with the phantom troupe or anything lol) and then as a 13 year old fucking . eridan ampora. didn’t even like him i just thought either he vriska or gamzee would have the most fun looks to figure out of the trolls. which really in retrospect is hilarious in how contentious that would’ve been regardless

Gamzee Makara was, generally, a happy troll. (this is actually the first sentence of a fanfic I'm writing!)

It was easy to be happy, and he didn’t understand why other trolls tried so hard to avoid it. 

Each day, the tide came in and out almost to the doorstep of his hive, leaving sea creatures strewn on his hivering, each one a tiny glistening treasure. He would pull open the shells and eat the snails inside whole like his lusus had shown him, then weave the shells and seaweed into his hair. He thought he looked fierce, like the circus troupes he saw on GrubTube with their horns all done up in lowblood teeth and sinew. It was a game to peer into the tidepools and play like it was a paint trough, saltwater drying tacky like blood on his skin until Gl’bgolyb’s whispers got too loud to take and he had to rub sopor on his eyes to stop the sick lurching wrongness building in his horns.

Thoughts in regard to Homestuck Epilogue

Well it certainly was......something

Cant say I was too fond of the politics part. Jane pretty much acts like she does with the Crocker-Tier diadem possessing her except this is supposed to be her normal self? Kind of feel sorry for any Jane or Jake fans reading the epilouge as the story wasnt exactly.....kind to them narrative or personalitywise (though Jake does at least get a bit to himself late in the candy route)

Also dear god, we do not NEED Trump analogues when there is already an unfortunaly very present Trump is presidental office being terrible already in real life. Reading is a form of escapism for some and frankly I already get reminded enough of that bastard in real life to want to see parallels to him and his admistration in fiction. Especially when one of them is a character I didn’t think could do that

Jade and Rose kind of got nerfed for a good part of the meat route and I can’t say i am fond of that

Obama was a surprise but it IS something that Hussie would do

There was a part of me that had wanted the group to stay friends and get over their issues as they became adults which doesn’t always happen but i wanted it to

I am a HUGE sucker for found family troupes

Gamzee got more action than he really should have or I would have wanted for him

Glad (Vriska) finnally killed him, it was about time

It would have been nice to see a healthy polyamourous relationship too :(

I wish we could have gotten to see Vriska and Terezi interact

on the positives I liked Vriska and Vriska junior’s conversation (lying back on Gamzee’s corpse no less)

I liked the DaveKat and Rosemary bits and conversations

I liked the next-gen kids in the Candy route

I wanna see fanart of them

And it was pretty funny at points, Alt-Calliope and Dirk fighting for the narrative was pretty funny and so was narrative Dirk getting fed up with Dave and Karkat dancing around eachother too long and trying to match-make

alot of the meta-textual stuff i just did not fully get and reminded me why I was never interested in a literature major despite my love for reading

Overall.....I’m....not sure how to feel about it. Can’t say it is what I wanted but can’t say i completely hated it either

There probably would have been more of an emotional reaction from me had this been released back three years ago when i was still more into the homestuck fandom (the amount of investation and lengeth of time i was in it is probably equal or greater than my first big fandom of Harry Potter in my teens)
