MatPat's GameLab.
but what if...
Artist's Note: Dang, this took ETERNITY to finish, from pose changes, lineart, base coloring, till the details. Also to speed up the BG process, I had to do some Photobashing. Man, it's already almost 2 AM here. A'ight, time for sleep.

Is it too bad a week to share what some friendos and I put together in like 2 weeks for the local GameLab?
(@gabiberbetoros / @sirce-ap / @eliasnavarrook )
DISCLAIMER: We coulda pulled it off in any engine other than Unity.
The prototype is live on Itch if you're curious. I focused so much on getting the vibes right that I kinda ran out of time to make a decent level, so if game hard, it's definitely not your fault.

Gamification and Learning at REAP2024: Breakthroughs and Applications
Gamification was a hot topic at REAP2024, with numerous innovations showcasing how game mechanics and design principles can be applied to enhance learning experiences. Here are some of the most exciting breakthroughs and applications of gamification in education presented at the event.
1. GameLab: Creating Engaging Learning Environments
GameLab emerged as a standout platform at REAP2024, offering a suite of tools that allow educators to create immersive and engaging learning environments. GameLab enables teachers to design custom educational games that align with their curriculum. These games incorporate elements like points, badges, and leaderboards to motivate students and make learning more interactive. By turning traditional lessons into game-based activities, GameLab helps to increase student engagement, enhance retention of information, and foster a love for learning.
2. QuestEd: Learning Through Adventure
QuestEd captivated attendees with its unique approach to learning through adventure-based narratives. This platform turns educational content into quests and missions, where students can explore virtual worlds, solve puzzles, and complete challenges related to their coursework. QuestEd’s interactive storytelling elements make learning more exciting and relatable, encouraging students to immerse themselves in the subject matter. The platform also includes assessment tools that allow teachers to track progress and performance, ensuring that learning objectives are being met while students are having fun.
3. BrainQuest: Cognitive Skill Development
BrainQuest, highlighted at REAP2024, focuses on developing cognitive skills through gamified exercises and challenges. The platform offers a wide range of brain games designed to improve memory, attention, problem-solving, and critical thinking. BrainQuest’s adaptive learning algorithms ensure that the games adjust in difficulty based on the student's performance, providing a personalized experience that keeps students engaged and challenged. By making cognitive skill development enjoyable, BrainQuest helps students build essential skills that support their overall academic success.
4. ClassCraft: Transforming Classroom Management
ClassCraft was another major highlight at REAP2024, showcasing how gamification can transform classroom management. This platform turns the classroom into a role-playing game (RPG), where students create avatars and earn experience points (XP) for positive behaviors, completing assignments, and participating in class activities. ClassCraft’s gamified approach encourages teamwork, improves classroom behavior, and fosters a positive learning environment. Teachers can customize the game to fit their specific needs, making it a versatile tool for enhancing classroom dynamics and student motivation.
5. MathMastery: Gamifying Math Education
MathMastery, unveiled at REAP2024, focuses on making math education more engaging through gamification. The platform offers a variety of math games and challenges that cover topics ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus. MathMastery’s games are designed to reinforce key concepts, provide immediate feedback, and reward students for their progress. The platform’s competitive elements, such as leaderboards and time-based challenges, motivate students to practice their math skills regularly and strive for continuous improvement. By turning math practice into a fun and rewarding experience, MathMastery helps to alleviate math anxiety and build confidence in students.
Conclusion
REAP2024 showcased a diverse array of gamified educational technologies that are transforming the way students learn and interact with educational content. GameLab, QuestEd, BrainQuest, ClassCraft, and MathMastery represent just a few examples of the innovative applications of gamification in education. These platforms are enhancing engagement, motivation, and cognitive skill development by making learning fun and interactive. As these gamified tools continue to evolve and integrate into educational systems, they promise to create more dynamic and effective learning experiences, ultimately shaping the future of education

If anyone want to find the pic sauce, look up GameLab Five Nights at Freddy's, there's a free episode for it.
Don't mind me, just thinking of writing an AU where Ness the waiter is a security guard for Freddy's / explores the pizzeria in general
(also have a separate Ness one-shot that I'm already writing)

GameLab should be under category of The Game Theorists
Ok, I have a title problem. The Game Theory--now rebranded as The Theorist Wiki--is split on the title of the Theorist Channels.
Game Theory and Film Theory use the show title as their entries:
Food Theory and Style Theory use "Theorists":
And I don't know which one to go with because they're both technically right.
ARGH WHY IS THIS SPLIT EXACTLY 50/50?!?!
We can put a redirect for these pages so anyone who searches for one title gets the other. It just needs to be consistent.
(Also these entries are really sad but that's beside the point.)
I will bow to the majority, I'm just in decision fatigue right now. So help? ( tagging @world-of-ezraprisc @theoryify @lexusinsannus and anyone else interested in fixing this mess )
