*GRABS YOU BY THE FACE*
ASH-
RAMBLE ABOUT YOUR BILLY KID SELF SHIP THIS INSTANT
(i may not know who this billy kid character is but anything to support a friend :3) also bc i wanna fangirl over them bc THEY JUST LOOK SOOO ADORABLEEE💖💖💖
EVE IM IN PUBLIC AND YOUR GONNA MAKE ME GIGGLE STOP IT! Anyway, I’m just gonna give yall some fun facts since I know that if i don’t I won’t be able to hold back and I won’t be able to stop rambling about them lol
-their ship name was actually gonna be GameKnight (since my sona works at an arcade and billy is obsessed with a show called starlight knights.) because i think for dates they would have game NIGHTS…get it?
-My sona owns an apartment so I’m pretty sure that when they get more serious Billy would move in since I’m like- 99% sure he’s living with one of his friends currently (Nicole I’m pretty sure)
-Eve, I know you. So I know you’ll understand when I say that these two are practically just Leo and Tomiko
-so- ya know the Starlight Knights? That show Billy loves? I like to think Ash only watched clips of it before meeting him for the animation. So when they get together and watch it together, they both focus on parts of the show they usually wouldn’t. Ash finally focuses on the story and characters instead of just the animation, and Billy finally realizes how much story telling is shown visually through the art and animation
-Since Billy is a robot he doesn’t get sick, so whenever Ash does he thinks she’s dying or something
-Ever since they met at the arcade ash works at Billy comes by way more often. Saying that he was earning and saving up his tickets for a prize when in reality he isn’t even playing any games, just talking to Ash
-Ash would make him fanart of Starlight Knights, as well as draw his sona lol
-they would wear couple costumes for Halloween, either something cute like starlight night characters or something stupid like Sans and the queen of England
-Billy would have pet names for her like ‘Starlight (starlight knights ref) princess, Ashyyyyyyyyy (he always draws out the Y too) beautiful or handsome’
-Ash would have pet names for him like ‘my knight (starlight knights ref) pretty boy, handsome’
-They both have mutual ones too like ‘Pookie, babe, baby, baby girl, boo boo bear, Shnookums’ they have cheesy ones to annoy each other and to gross people out in public
-Ash would send Billy these pics randomly
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
-Whenever Billy would feel sad that he doesn’t have a mouth so he can’t kiss her, Ash would just say that “since you don’t have lips, that doesn’t limit me to where I have to kiss you” if that makes sense lol? So she just peppers kisses everywhere on his face
-also speaking of him not having a mouth, Ash would draw mouths on sticky notes, either kissy 030 ones or cat :3 ones
-pictures that remind me of them

Whumptober 2024 Day 6
Summary:
Gameknight came back from the minecraft world, but it took him a moment to realize that the pain was still there and that there was blood seeping through his shirt. Prompt pieces used: NOT REALIZING THEY'RE INJURED | Healed Wrong
Notes:
Yayy more Gameknight!! Yay!! Content Warnings: Battles and injuries (described in a detached manner), blood Words: 1,450
(Fic also under the cut.)
The battle had been a rough one, spiders on every side, endermen bending down to catch his line of sight, creepers bursting out from their caves and tunnels like pieces of the earth itself had come alive with the hiss of gunpowder. Of course, there was hardly a battle that wasn’t rough. That was sort of the thing about battles, they were never fun, at least, not when you were really in the thick of it. Really able to see the pain on the other’s faces, really able to feel that pain for yourself when cave spider fangs sank into the unprotected flesh of your chest through your cracked chestplate.
Up until that point, of course, Gameknight had been doing fairly well. (Well, as long as you didn’t worry about what the state of his mind had been like as he had torn and twirled through countless enemies and monsters. The reality of the pain he was inflicting never failed to make him feel… bad.) He’d hardly gotten a nic taken out of his armor, and both of his swords had kept up with the waves of pain at every turn and twist of the battle.
Of course, the one mistake in his armor had to have been the perfect place for a spider to bite down on, that was just his luck. And, as it always did when poison clouded one’s vision and twisted the music of the land into something much different, fighting had gotten a fair bit more difficult after that happened, and things had spiraled rather quickly from there.
His arms hadn’t responded as quickly to what his brain screamed at them to do, twitching as the poison coursed through his veins and up and down his rectangular fingers. And, since his swords were too slow to block them, he had soon screamed with the feeling of arrows burying themselves into any loose patches of armor that they could find. (He swore, those skeletons had deadly aim when they were really right in front of him.) Plus, the pain of the poison and the arrows meant that, when a zombie had crashed into his back, he hadn’t been able to brace himself, sending Gameknight to the ground and into an even worse position.
He had struggled there for a moment, doing his best to swap to a shield or to a piece of bread, but finding that he needed his sword where they were as the zombies and spiders began to crowd closer. Gameknight, seeing clear sky through the gaps in the mob, squeezed his eyes shut, knowing that endermen were nearby.
He had been panicking. Quite a lot actually. (In fact, it didn’t feel quite fair to call it just panicking, it had been more than that. Something primal, something animalistic.)
His swords, crossed over his body to keep the monsters at bay, had been digging further and further down, until they too were the claws and fangs that scratched at his armor and skin, begging for a way in. And that’s when he remembered it. Then, as his hearts were quickly dropping from five to three, was exactly when he remembered.
His father, Monkeeypants, creator of the digitizer, had recently put in a new feature. When he’d brought it up at the dinner table, it had been half a joke, a button to summon him (pressable by commands in the in-game chat), and bring him back from whatever adventure he was going on. Gameknight’s father had laughed, said something about how helpful the surprise new feature would be when Gameknight had a project to do, and quickly went back to eating.
But Gameknight knew his father better than to have seen the gesture as anything but what it was, a desperate plea for his son to stay safe. A Hail Mary of a command. Something that could get Gameknight out of anything. Something that would keep him safe.
If he had ever needed getting out of anything, a heart bar barley flickering above one should have been the time.
He curled even tighter into himself, feeling the rotting hands of the zombies and the clicking mandibles of the spiders scratching experimentally at his somewhat exposed face as he did his best to focus. (Typing in the chat was a nightmare when you had to do it with your mind, especially when you were busy with something else, such as trying not to die.)
Gameknight sucked in a breath, imagining the keyboard in front of him. His hands were shaking, even in the vision, twitching with the pain of what he felt, but he managed. He always did, that was just how a User That Was Not a User did it.
He hit the enter bar right as his health hit zero, and his closed eyes snapped open on an expanse of flicking night for a split second before it was just his computer screen once more. Glowing in the darkness of the basement, bouncing off of the failed experiments around the room in the form of light, was the familiar sight of the Minecraft launcher. The button had worked, he had logged out. It had worked! His father’s new addition had worked!
(For some reason though, Gameknight’s chest still burned as it had in the game itself.)
“I just combat logged,” he breathed to himself, not yet realizing what he was feeling, “I haven’t done that since I…”
He trailed off, feeling a sudden urge to lay his head down on the pillow and rest. It made sense to feel that way, he didn’t like thinking about those days, before he had met the world of Minecraft in full, of course his heart hurt. He had done wrong!
Gameknight moved to stand, maybe to pick up his phone and call Shawny to tell him that he was alright, but found with a start that his legs didn’t seem to be working quite right. His vision doubled for a second as he glanced down, but in the darkness of the basement (the screen made everything seem rather blue), that moment of blurriness was the only thing about the scene that looked strange. Still though, his breath was coming fast.
Why? This wasn't’ really that out of the ordinary. He had even logged out this time, what could have stayed.
Gameknight was used to feeling occasional aches from injuries sustained in Minecraft, but as he reached a shaking hand towards his strangely wet shirt, he suddenly realized that he had never felt something quite this bad out of the game. This was familiar, but not in a way his non-digital body should have been used to. This was wrong.
His fingers touched his shirt, and instantly he felt something warm there. Something that wasn’t the feeling of his body heat. Something more.
He felt woozy all of a sudden.
The room smelled much more than ozone, much more than the battle torn breezes of Minecraft, or the strange way a classroom did when the air freshener had been sprayed one too many times. No, this was different, worse. Bloody.
Oh for fucks sake!
“Dad!” Gameknight called up the stairs, feeling his frantic voice catch in his throat as a wave of nausea hit him. He felt blurry, glitchy, poisoned. “Help!”
No sound met him, but Gameknight knew he could not stand, he knew he had to keep trying. Here he didn’t even have a magical loaf of bread to heal him, let alone a button out and into a safer world, he needed help, and as the poison dug into the blood of his shivering ribcage, he knew he needed to fast.
“Dad!” he cried again, a little louder this time but much more garbled, “Help! I’m serious!”
This time, he heard the sounds of feet pattering, but it wasn’t a fast sort of pattering. It was slow, as if his father hadn’t realized that Gameknight was telling the truth.
“I’m serious!” he screamed again, but was cut off as a spasm of pain rocked through his body. He cried out, curled into himself just as he had on that awful battlefield as his body tore and jolted with pain.
This time, the door to the basement opened, but Gameknight didn’t have long to savor his rescue, as his eyes rolled back into his head and he slumped forward and out of his chair. He had felt himself hitting half a heart in Minecraft before, but as he passed into unconsciousness in the real world, he was suddenly thankful that the pain of that had never been this much.
This was too much.(Oh why did he always have to log out to something going wrong?)

i think they shouldve made some self contained story in minecraft for the minecraft movie.
minecraft world resident goes on minecraft adventure. steve gets lost in the woods and has to build a shack to survive and after he improves his base for a while he finds an abandoned village with spooky texts about strongholds and so steve goes to investigate and you can LITERALLY make it a go find this mysterious dragon to slay it and harness the power of its egg or something.
it's a sandbox game there are literally infinite possibilities. if i needed a story about real people in minecraft i would go read those gameknight books i liked in like 2015.
if you need people travelling dimensions USE THE NETHER imagine a guy getting stuck in the nether because they were investigating a ruined portal and lightning struck their reconstruction and they fell in and off a cliff or something. surviving the nether. that would be a banger movie and you can have "what the hell is that" moments because this person's never been in the nether before why do the trees look like that ? wouldn't that be awesome

I realize that I’ve posted nothing about it up to this point, but since March I’ve been working on a Gameknight fanfiction. It’s the first piece of writing I have ever made plans to post online, and I’m very proud of the concept. If any of you fellow freaks want to take a look, I’ll be putting a link up once I finish the third chapter, possibly later today! We need a Long Fic in this fandom

January 2024 Devlog - Getting our bearings
Alright, we know, it's been already one (1) month since the trailer dropped and we have been kind of silent so far. In reality, we are doing work under the hood, and I've already shared some of the work I've done to a smaller circle of friends; I decided that most of it didn't warrant being shared publicy for now (due to being too early, requiring polish, etc.), and a lot of it will indeed remain under the hood for a time. But I think y'all warrant a devlog for once, so I will try and be as transparent as possible:
What you just saw was the first public, in-engine prototype footage for the game. Most of the focus so far was toward now only getting our sweet sweet models to look nice in Godot (which we somehow mostly managed to do save for issues with Godot's shadows system), but to also establish an optimal Blender-to-Godot pipeline so that getting these assets in the game would require the least effort possible for the sake of letting more effort go toward the quality of assets. We didn't manage to establish such a pipeline (yet). Game development sure would be amazing if you could just get your carefully crafted characters and animations in-engine with a simple click, amirite?
Alright, so, what else do we do in Godot? We develop the engine that will power our upcoming, innovative battle system, of course. We originally went for building the engine inside the game's main "project" (if you're confused, it's just some high-level indie dev slang) until we realised this, as well as the experimentation that comes with it, would negatively affect things for the main project. Also, using placeholder assets would be more efficient, but we're reluctant to fill the future foundation of the game with tons of useless dev garbage. So, we decided to start rebuilding allat gameplay stuff in a separate secondary project, which will be used from now on to develop our snazzy super secret revolutionary combat gameplay.
Tumblr media
Now, a lot of the work behind the scenes wasn't consacred to the engine itself (definitely not a bad workflow guys, trust me!); under the hood, we also worked further on the aesthetic side of things: chara designs, new models, etc… As you might have guessed, aesthetics are something real important to us. Hell, we literally intended the artstyle to be the big selling point of the project, especially to our fellow Minecraft enjoyers out there that have no idea of what a "gameknight999" even is, but care about the project regardless because it could very well end up the first good ambitious MC fangame since Story Mode. Obviously, that means when it comes to adapting existing characters, we usually make em snazzy new designs to match the vibe of the game:
Tumblr media
Beyond their designs, we also intend to make a lot more changes to several existing creatures for the sake of fitting the game's brand new vibe. Take the skeletons for example: in Minecraft, while the skeleton is very common and iconic, it isn't really considered a real "basic" enemy (it's literally a ranged attacker), especially when put next to the zombie, who easily takes the cake as MC's most basic enemy. In GKR, we decided to make skeletons able to wield a variety of weapons other than bows (swords, shields, etc.), consolidating them as the "shoto" units of the monster faction, and some of the more versatile goons Gameknight will have to face during his adventure. This is the kind of changes you will see in other aspects of Minecraft as we picture it for the reboot, offering a brand new take on the game you're used to (in total non-respect to the original Gameknight999 series which just adapted plain-ol' Minecraft as it was back in 2014).
Tumblr media
So, in the end, what can you make of all of this? 1) So far, we've mostly worked on getting our bearings in this engine. 2) We are currently working on getting the core gameplay system to a playable state. 3) Our artstyle is awesome.
Also, for those who didn't realize until now, the fancy skeleton model wasn't made by me this time; you have to thank our new 3D modeller, Lucas "Geno" ATBK, who I previously got to work with for Mega Man Zero Online Legacy. He's also developing a very cool speed platformer called "Lunar Leaf", you should REALLY check that out and more at https://www.youtube.com/@LukasATBK
Hopefully I covered everything there was to cover, and did not make any spelling mistakes. No Youtube uploads for the time being, but we hope to be back as soon as humanly possible with some cool new development updates.

No.1: Dying (In Minecraft)
Ao3 link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/50460067
-
Words: 1,969
Cws: Temporary Death, sort of body horror? I don’t know how to define it. Glitching in real life. Also temporary loss, specifically, and a bit of battle/war.
Notes: I’ve always wanted to know what happens when a User-Who-Is-Not-A-User loses all their hearts, and this was one crack at it! It’s not amazing, but it’s a shockingly difficult concept to write, so I’m okay with it. :3
Prompt: No. 1: “But now this room is spinning while I’m trying just to fill in all the gaps.” Safety Net | Swooning | “How many fingers am I holding up?” (I used all parts.)
Gameknight’s head spun as the battle raged on. He and his brave villagers must have been fighting for hours now, and his cracking sword hilts dug into his bare fingers with a vengeance as he held tight to the metal. But it wasn’t just his swords that were running low on durability, as each and every attack crashed into him, he saw the cracks in his enchanted diamond gear growing wider, threatening to let the arrows in at the moment the durability of his armor snapped.
His breath came hard and fast, and his HP was quivering dangerously low, but he knew he had no time to eat to replenish it. The waves just kept coming and coming, no matter how hard he fought. Every skeleton arrow in his side, every glancing blast from some poor exploding creeper, every small scratch of rotting zombie claws on his exposed face… it all burned, and he had no time to try and stop the dropping of his heart as he continued to fight.
He had to call his group to retreat, but their backs were already to the wall of the village. If they dropped back any farther, the innocent children and elderly inside the village would be swarmed just as he was out here. Gameknight coughed out some spit as he defended against an enderman’s fists with the flat side of his diamond sword. Just because these people were born of code did not mean their lives were worth any less than Gameknight’s, and it hurt him to hurt them.
To protect his friends, those in the village and those that bravely fought around him, he knew he had to keep going, even though he could eject himself from the fray if he really wanted to. But what would a cowardly move like that make him? No better than the monster kings and viruses that sent those they ruled over into a war that, with Gameknight in charge, had been all but unwinnable until now. (Though Gameknight really hoped it was still unwinnable for those evil forces.)
He sliced through monster after monster, feeling XP shower the ground around him and drift into his level bar as his enemies were destroyed. He had to be in the thirties now, too bad it did nothing to heal his dropping HP or dwindling hunger bar.
Gameknight continued to fight, his mind whirling like the windmill that was the two swords he held in his hands. He was like a machine of destruction, something that those that had seen his Greifer days would probably be able to attest to, and he tore through enemy ranks like an evil thing in his own right. It was just too bad that there was only one of him, then. But as it turned out, even he had to go.
Gameknight let out a shriek as, without any warning, an arrow buried itself through armor. “A piercing bow-!” He managed to think, feeling his HP drop to about half a heart as he stumbled into a sitting position, searching madly through his inventory for any sort of food or healing item. He had to get one before an enemy noticed that he had fallen, because if they saw how low he was, the small circle that had drawn away from him would surely find it in themselves to pounce.
Gameknight felt dizzy. He didn’t think he’d ever been this low on hearts before, and as he frantically searched for the piece of bread that he knew was hidden between weapons, blocks, and shields, he tried to fight the panic that grew. If he died in Minecraft, would he die in real life? The villagers only got one chance, why shouldn’t he?
And, on that horrifying reminder, the sharp mandibles of a spider found his neck, biting hard and deep as Gameknight screamed. It must have been only a second or two that he was down, but it took even less for the spider’s poison to seep into the half of a heart he had left, shattering it, and his body, in a shower of XP and items.
The sky of Minecraft seemed to dissolve into code, striping away hitboxes and blocks one by one as Gameknight felt himself dying. He had no time to think, he had no way to fight, only a last screech of pain as his pixelated eyes lost sight of the gorgeous world he had learned to call home.
Glitches and flashes of light, making way for an unending shadow.
_____________
Shawney screamed in horror as he saw his friend’s computer screen be overtaken by those horrible words. Those, scarily final, expressions of exactly what had happened. Shawney jumped away from his own laptop, his own digital battle forgotten as he raced to grab his friend. The basement was small enough that Shawn could reach Tommy’s real body in just a moment, but his sinking brain seemed to drag milliseconds into hours as those horrible words played on the screen.
Shawney shook Gameknight, feeling hot tears already dripping down his face as he did his best to revive his friend. Usually, if ejected, a User woke up right when they had been kicked from the game, why was it taking so long for Tommy to follow that rule?
If the villagers only got one chance, why would a User-that-is-not-a-user get any more?
Shawney felt bile rise in his throat as he stumbled back, hitting his back against a desk covered with broken inventions as he did his best to process what was happening. There was no way it was true. He had to keep calm. That couldn’t just be the end, he and Gameknight had their whole lives ahead of them, and though he had never managed to get the words out, Shawney somehow knew that he wanted said lives to be intertwined, and if the Oracle didn’t let Gameknight out of that horror, that truth could never be a reality.
But he had to keep focus, and he found it in himself to check on the other Users in the room. Jenny, and Gameknight’s dad. Both of them were breathing normally, both of their screens displayed alright numbers of hearts. Shawney’s legs shook as his knees threatened to give out. Why hadn’t he been paying attention to Gameknight’s screen? Could he have saved him if he had? Could he have saved him if he was in the game too.
Shawney felt frozen in place, even as his own minecraft character was destroyed, leaving the villagers in his area lost in the redstone front. Unable to defend their traps. Shawn wanted to help, but he couldn’t. His eyes were locked on Tommy’s unmoving body as Shawney’s mind replayed memory upon memory. There was no way.
It was then, as Shawney felt his eyes begin to fill with tears, that the first glitch of light flashed through the basement. It looked odd, like the world behind Gameknight was that of a corrupted Minecraft world, glitching with stripes and floating pieces and unloaded chunks. Gameknight contorted slightly as a wave of colorful sparks shot up from his spasming body. Shawney yelped and immediately he dove forward, trying to shake his friend awake while also trying not to hurt him, so scared he was.
On the positive end of things, Tommy was alive, on the negative one, there was no way that this clashing of worlds could be good for him. Shawney hadn’t interacted with the digitizer quite as much as Tommy and his family had, but he still knew enough to know that these “glitches” jerking through his friend were in no way normal.
“Tommy,” he called, shaking his friend once more as a particularly large shiver of corruption shot up his spine, “Tommy!”
_____________
Gameknight was stirring, but he felt lost in a pile of fiberglass shards as he looked up at the ceiling, blinking glitches and flashes of code out of his eyes. The world was blurry. It didn’t look right. He could vaguely register hands on his shoulders, but as he swooned from the pain still in his neck and veins, he couldn’t seem to place a face on who they belonged to.
His mind felt like it had been replaced by a fluffy mess, and every couple of seconds he could see a flash of unnatural light lighting up his vision, making his surroundings return to that horrible foggy place. A place of unregistered items, of glowing eyes and whispered words. A place that could infect you like the viruses, a place that didn’t want you to leave.
But he had broken out, hadn’t he?
That was why those hands were shaking him, that was why that voice was calling his name. The world was coming back into focus, but simple sounds still echoed like songs sang in mountain ranges, and every movement shot shocks of glitches through his body.
He groaned as he tried to focus on the person who held him. Familiar brown skin, curly hair, a show winning smile that Gameknight knew was hidden under all of that terror. Shawney. Gameknight’s best friend, and arguably the person that he was closest to. He was here for him. Of course he was.
Gameknight tried to focus on the words coming out of his friend’s mouth as he babbled fears and questions, but it was hard to catch much as the world continued to spin around him. He felt like he’d been through death and back, which, of course, he had been, but it didn’t make the fact that he couldn’t understand what Shawney was saying any easier. He wanted to, but he couldn’t. The world spun too fast for that.
All he could do was breathe.
As shocks of pain from every ghostly bite and scratch kept replaying through his nerves, it was everything he could do to keep himself from falling back into that horrible place. Each blow like a drum mallet to the head as he tried to regain his footing on the world that should have been most familiar to him.
Gameknight couldn’t even move his arms, which hung limply at his sides as Shawney continued to try and shake him into revival. But oh how he wanted to. He wanted to pull the arrows from his skin, though he could see they weren’t really there. He wanted to get back to defending the village, though he could tell he was too far gone for that. He wanted to pinch the poison from his veins, though he knew that that was impossible. But most of all, he wanted to hold Shawney’s hand. To tell him that, throughout all of this, he loved him.
Those panicked screams that had echoed in his death, they had been for Shawney, even though he had not been there to help him. A final call for rescue, which there had been no hope of answering.
And yet…
He was here anyway, frantically asking all those first aid questions. Things like, “How many fingers am I holding up?” and, “Where does it hurt?” because it was the only thing he could do. He was trying. He was helping.
And as Gameknight felt his breath gradually reclaim its rhythm, he fought to move his hand. Anything to connect with Shawney, to tell him that he was okay. Every glitch through him fought to tear his mind away, but he fought it. He fought it for Shawney, and he knew he had to persevere. For himself, yes, and also for his family, and of course for his villager friends that he had died to protect. But, somehow, he found himself mostly fighting for Shawney.
Even as he swooned with dizziness, unable to answer the simplest questions, he fought.
He could do this for him.

I'm currently considering making a gameknight stress ball. Just a stress ball that looks like him. I think it'd be very popular with the fandom
