I don't usually post about my Yugioh decks here, but I'm experimenting with the Trickstar cards that got revealed last night and I'm pretty excited for them! Hoodie is a much needed extender, Colchica is a nice bit of insurance to have in the grave, and Noble Angel and Drummatis are a great duo to have out on your opponent's turn.
I really like that Trickstar has more options for board building and interacting with the opponent now.

arsenal effect to summon stranger from deck
stranger effect to reborn a lvl 4 from grave*
use stranger and lvl 4 to make dark rebellion
use arsenal and wise to make rusty

rusty effect send boots to set rank up magic force
boots effect banish to add fog blade
on oppts turn activate rank up magic force banish one to rank up dark rebellion into dark requium
ALTERNATE COMBO
cards required: gagaga magcian, rank up magic launch, and ddd duo dawn king kali yuga
*instead of stranger effect make rusty with wise and arsenal
arsenal effect to summon ultamite

stranger and raider’s wing make gagaga
gagaga effect reborn arsenal
rusty effect send boots to set launch
boots effect banish add fog blade
on oppts turn active launch and make kali yuga, which prevents all effects from being activated the turn it is summoned
FINAL THOUGHTS
Raidraptors will always have a special place in my heart, they were the first deck I really and truly learned to play. Theyre a pretty good rank 4 strategy, unfortunatly, they kinda suck ass, all of these combos are very vulnerable to any interuption and nib basically ends the turn along with basically anything else. The combos are very stasfiying to pull off with some very funny endboards, so if your looking for a new deck to mess around with, maybe consider these funny robot birds. Im open to suggestions for any future decklists, I’ll try to do one every Saturday

Mermail Abyssalacia
Mermail Abyssalacia Link 2 WATER Sea Serpent Link Effect Monster 1600 ATK Link Arrows: Bottom-Left, Bottom-Right Link Materials: 2 Fish, Sea Serpent, and/or Aqua monsters You can only use each effect among the (2)nd and (3)rd effects with this card’s name once per turn. (1) Monsters this card points to gain 500 ATK and DEF. (2) During your opponent’s turn (Quick Effect): You can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard; add 1 “Mermail” monster from your Deck to your hand. (3) If this card in its owner’s possession is destroyed by an opponent’s attack or card effect: you can send 1 WATER monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, then target 1 WATER monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it in Defense Position.
“Mermail”s did not need an archetypal link monster since ‘Mistar Boy’ got released, but it is nice to get one.
The attack gain can make ‘Mermail Abyssmegalo’ 2900atk. or since you have 2 linked zones you can make a 3100atk ‘Bahamut Shark’ and 2700atk ‘Toadally Awesome’
Using any combination of fish, sea-serpents and aqua monsters is nice especially since “Mermail”s are a combination of fish and sea-serpent and all the “Atlantean” monsters are sea-serpents and all the “Frog”s are aqua.
Using “Frog”s is the easiest way to summon Abysslacia because you would rather use “Mermail’s for attacking and “Atlantean”s for discarding.
If the quick effect could have been used on either player’s turn that would have been really good, but you can discard any card preferably an “Atlantean” like ‘Atlantean Heavy Infantry’ to pop one card your opponent controls or ‘Atlantean Dragoons’ so that you get to search a sea-serpent along with searching a “Mermail”.
You can’t run this card into an opponent’s monster with higher attack like you can with the other “Mermail”s, but with 1600atk getting run over is very likely.
Sending any “Atlantean” to the grave to get their effect is really good. Dragoons gets a search, Heavy Infantry and Marksman get to pop cards.
Plus summoning any WATER monster from the grave is really good. Summoning back ‘Mermail Abyssteus’ or Abyssmegalo or even ‘Gameciel, the Sea Turtle Kaiju’ for high defense monsters to protect yourself. Or cards like ‘Neptabyss, the Atlantean Prince’ to use on your next turn.
“Mermail”s are not as good as they once were, but they are by no means bad and them getting continual support is a good sign.
#yugioh#new cards#good cards#mermail#atalntean#frogs#legacy support#I like mermails#im glad so many archetypes are getting new link monsters
