Preview of a scene from the Third Game that I just decided to write since I don't trust Eidos with the boy.

Cut Adam some slack. He hasn't slept in over 48 hours, hasn't had any decent food in longer, and the Illuminati are in his head. Where's that The Owl House "handle with care" sign.

Pritchard meanwhile. Is on anxiety medication and in therapy, so uh. He's doin better.

The scene itself (this also doubles as an image description):

Jensen was standing menacingly in a corner, half melted into shadow. If Frank didn't know better, he would have jumped out of his skin.

"Good evening."

"Evening, Francis." His voice was still like grating steel: Frank wasn't sure what had pissed the man off so badly, but he'd find out soon enough.

"All right. What is it that absolutely cannot wait?" Jensen pointed at his head.

"I need you to get me a new one." Pritchard snorted.

"What, a brain? You've needed another one of those for years now--"

"Biochip," replied the man savagely, his shoulders rising. "They did something to it."

"You fucking dolt, I can't replace that, even if I had another on hand. You'd need a neurosurgeon. You don't want my caffeine-junkie fingers anywhere near your cortex and neither do I."

"Wipe it, then."

"Do you have any idea how long that took me to code? How many errors I had to spot check before I was comfortable handing it over to Sarif to be sure you didn't drop dead the moment they booted the thing? I didn't sleep for weeks! That's your entire body's drivers up there. Are you familiar with what happens to hardware without drivers?"

"Then check it. The whole thing, all of it...!"

"How stupid are you? That would take me days, if not weeks--"

"I don't care how long it takes! I don't care if you have to sit here until the end of time, just find what they did!" Jensen thundered, taking a step toward Pritchard.

"Do not yell at me." Silence, as Jensen glanced down at his chest and seemed to register that he was breathing heavily. "Sit down. I'll look at it." Frank's voice had dropped its edge of venom. "What did you do to your forehead? With how Sentinel works, that's fresh. Have you been scratching at it?" Jensen's lip twitched. "Calm down. I said I'll look at it. It will take some time, though. Probably a few days."

Katniss is such an unreliable narrator. She says "Then something unexpected happens. At least, I don't expect it because I don't think of District 12 as a place that cares about me" girl you deliver strawberries to the Mayor, you hunt and trade for the district, when you fell at Prim being chosen someone caught you, when you went to Prim people parted for you, when you volunteered EVERYONE stopped.
