the ONLY thing giving me SOME solace in jaime’s absolute character-defying, shitstorm, heartbreaking, WHAT THE FUCKERY speech to brienne is this:

the way he phrased it, throwing all this stuff he knew she didn’t want to hear, was very very similar to the way he went off at edmure tully in s6 about cersei, saying stuff he knew would disgust edmure.

the purpose of that s6 speech? to force edmure into doing what it was that jaime wanted - taking riverrun without bloodshed. he framed it as ‘i love cersei’ but the real reason? he was trying to ensure brienne’s safety.

cut to 8x04. it’s possible this parallel is jaime saying all of this, throwing this at brienne, to try and keep her away from king’s landing - because he doesn’t want her to die, he doesn’t want her to be hurt there, and the only way he knows how to do that is by severing the emotional tie at present.

don’t get me wrong

THIS IS SHITTY WRITING, AND I AM ABSOLUTELY FURIOUS.

but this will make me MARGINALLY less furious than if they’ve just decided to literally throw away ALL of jaime’s character development over the last few seasons. MARGINALLY.

Who is your favourite character in 2? Prooooobably Jaime Lannister. Weirdly I hated him at first but I fell in love with him after reading the books

Who is your least favourite character in 1? My instinct was to just think of S1 where it’d be Maggie Hart, but in the whole show it’d have to be Vince Vauhgn in S2. I don’t even remember his character’s name, he was just such a pain in the ass

What is your favourite episode of 4? A few come to mind but I’d probably go with the S6 finale, it’s just so fuckin’ tense, and great acting.

What is your favourite season of 5? S1. It’s just solid as fuck

Who is your favourite couple in 3? Chandler and Monica for sure

Who is your favourite couple in 2? Jon and Ygirtte

What is your favourite season of 2? That is hard as hell, I’ll say S3 though. It’s got a bit of everything I love. I’m kind of aware that other seasons are “better” but that wasn’t the question y’know

How long have you watched 1? I started kinda late, around December 2014. @j-erseyboy saw Interstellar and fell in love with McConaughey, watched it and told me it was great but it took me a while to get round to it. I think I was so busy playing Dragon Age Inquisition for a few weeks it didn’t even wanna get into anything else?! Rookie :/

How did you become interested in 3? I think it was just on TV when i was like 2 years old so I grew up with it

Who is your favourite actor in 4? Fave is Steven Yeun but the best is Melissa McBride, she’s a versatile badass

Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5? Game of Thrones, there’s just like...so much about it

Which show have you seen more episodes of, 1 or 3? Friends since there’s a solid 236 of them and I can’t count how often I’ve seen them all

If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be? I mean all of their lives fucking suck tbh, but Daryl has the most plot armor so I’ll be with him I guess

Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work? I think it’d only work in the sense of Friends being overrun with walkers, if you go into like...TWD settling down in a coffee shop it kind of falls apart

Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple? Sorry Ani and Ray are the only couple who have any semblance of being a good match in this show

Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5? Friends, like the Vikings is cool but...has anyone given birth to their brother’s triplets? Didn’t think so

Which has better theme music, 2 or 4? Game of Thrones ofc. Before I even watched the show (when I hated hearing about it) I’d even sit there like “damn that is some good music tho...” and i resented myself for liking it sdfjsdi

My 10 fave shows

Okay I’ve been tagged by @ramblingpolkadots -I think?? I mean I saw my name in your post but I didn’t get the mention notification? Anyway I’m going for this. This is gonna be hella predictable for those of you who know me -since it’s a personal blog everyone kinda knows me but oh nevermind.

1. Vikings (History- 5 seasons, ongoing)

Like I said, super predictable. I mean, look at him. He’s sheer perfection.

2. Peaky Blinders (BBC Two- 4 seasons, ongoing)

So fuckin predictable lol

3. Orange Is The New Black (Netflix- 6 seasons, ongoing)

OITNB is gay, feminist, hella funny, and it will tear your heart apart the moment you least expect it. I’m currently rewatching the whole series before going for S6. My prison wife is arguably Nicky.

4. American Horror Story (FX- 7 seasons, ongoing)

Jessica Lange is amazing, period.

5. La Casa de Papel (Netflix- part 1+2 over, part 3 in production??)

Hands down the best show I’ve seen in 2018 so far. Honestly, I’ve you haven’t seen it yet quit whatever you’re doing right now and watch it. Also look at Berlin’s pretty face orz

6. Sons of Anarchy (FX- 7 seasons, over)

It’s a redneck thing. But hey, I love these guys I can’t help it.

7. Shameless (Showtime- 8 seasons, ongoing)

Half of the gifs I could find for Shameless were Gallavitch kisses/hugs/smut which is totally legit cause they’re the most adorable gay couple that’s ever been created. Also I love each member of the Gallagher family as a member of my own.

8. Sense8 (Netflix - 2 seasons, over)

Commonsense : You can’t just create an SF show with only LGBT characters.

Wachowski sisters : ........Say that again?

9. Misfits (E4- 5 seasons, over)

Probably the funniest and most British show I’ve ever seen. Nathan is a freak.

10. Game of Thrones (HBO- 7 seasons, ongoing)

I mean I’m an edgy birb, but not edgy enough not to put GoT in my top.

That’s about it, I think? Also I realize the order in which I put the shows is pretty accurate? Except Shameless would probably come before AHS but whatever. Not tagging anyone, but if anyone who sees this feels like doing it please mention me in your post cause I’d love to see your top 10 !
