If you're applying for game dev jobs, invest in a publishing app.

It's way better than trying to format a visually appealing and informative document in a word processor and will literally save you hours of headaches. Seriously the amount of time I've saved fighting word processors used to be the biggest struggle in applying places for me, and a publishing app easily saved me hours of head-banging labour. As a bonus it will make your resumes feel like they weren't just typed out in word like many other applicants and might help you stand out a little more!

My favourite is Affinity Publisher; it's a flat-payment app and pretty regularly goes on sale, and very beginner intuitive. Would highly recommend!
