Accepting Submissions for | Painting, Drawing, Photography, Sculpture, Installation, Interactive Piece, Video, Performance, Spoken Word, Music, and Sound as well as Workshop Proposals. LIP = Life in Progress  |  AnySquared Projects is seeking work that expresses definitions and/or critiques of progress. Progress can mean many things, as time moves forward, how can we explore this concept with our work, our art, in our communities, and as human beings, both in the city and the world? Through all media, AnySquared asks artists to represent, examine, analyze, or dissect what is actual progress, what some consider progress, and what is the difference between those two concepts. We seek art that provokes, challenges, and illustrates that change. While not a requirement, you are encouraged to create new work based on this general theme for exhibition. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2007 and has co-owned Cafe Mustache since 2010. ____ Photo installations by Angela Davis Fegan angeladavisfegan.com artist@angeladavisfegan.com Angela Davis Fegan is a native of Chicago’s South Side. A graduate of Chicago’s famed Whitney Young High School, she received her BFA in Fine Arts from New York’s Parsons School of Design and her MFA in Interdisciplinary Book and Paper Arts from Columbia College Chicago. Angela has mounted shows at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Montgomery Ward Gallery, Galerie F, Chicago Artists’ Coalition, the DePaul Art Museum, The Center for Book Arts (NY) and the Hyde Park Art Center. Her work has been selected for book covers including How to Seduce a White Boy in Ten Easy Steps by Laura Yes Yes, The Truth About Dolls by Jamila Woods, Secondhand by Maya Marshall, Where Brooklyn At by Roger Bonair-Agard and All Blue So Late by Laura Swearingen-Steadwell. Her MFA thesis, and on going practice, the lavender menace poster project, has been written up by The Offing (LA Review of Books), Hyperallergic, Chicago Magazine, the RedEye, Go Magazine, Pop Sugar, the Chicago Reader, and Newcity. ____ Paintings by Tracy Kostenbader tracykostenbader.com tracy@tracykostenbader.com IG: @tracykostenbader Tracy Kostenbader is an artist and founder/curator of AnySquared Projects. Headquartered above the 2 Amigos in Logan Square is her studio where she hosts weekly art-making days and exhibits open to the public. ____ Karissa Talanian eyevyberecords.com IG: tagomagospaceritual Karissa runs a record label called Eye Vybe Records, plays drums in Les Strychnine and Wet Piss, and is a visual artist. This collection of posters and album artwork from the last few years is a cross section of her interests in space age graphic design, collaborating with fantastic musicians from all over the planet, and playing music. _____

ABOUT CARLOS VAZQUEZ IG: @thekrood Carlos Vazquez is an Illustrator, painter, and a food enthusiast. Recently, he's also been creating murals! Carlos currently teaches drawing and illustration classes in an after school program for two CPS schools. His dedication for the subjects he teaches makes him great at it! Carlos began coming to AnySquared Studio days a few years ago with friends. Since then he has become a active member and avid supporter. He has been an exhibiting artist in many AnySquared exhibits and events over the last few years including the LIP 20/20 exhibit, GallerySquared, and Against Da Fence. He has also showcased his work in venues across Chicago. AnySquared is grateful to Carlos over the last few years because he has always generously volunteered his time and labor in helping with exhibits and events. And, his studio and home is at AnySquared!
