Mythology Aesthetics → Longmu

In Chinese mythology, Longmu was a woman who was deified as a goddess after raising five infant dragons. Longmu and her dragons developed a strong bond for each other, and have thus become an example of filial devotion and parental love, an important virtue in Chinese culture.

After Longmu died, the dragons were overwhelmed by sadness and took human form, becoming known as the Five Scholars, who buried her on the northern side of Zhu Mountain.

music recs!!! i highly recommend Owl City (he's my absolute fave) some of my fave songs of his are Fireflies, Wolf Bite, Thunderstruck, Beautiful Times and How I Became The Sea!! i also recommend Haux (especially the songs Seaside and Caves!! so good) oh Lindsey Stirling is another fave of mine!!! Laurie (The Wallflower Wars) is so gay for her girlfriend. So gay. She sees no other girl than her. She’s her sun, moon and stars. It’s beautiful. 

Guinevere (Masquerade) is addicted to macarons. The pretty, french ones. She really enjoys the look of them on her tables and the taste of the sweetest ones. 

Lorelai (A Warm Welcome) stress-bakes. Mostly bread. Sometimes she’ll just storm into the hotel’s kitchen and order everyone out so she can punch some dough. 

Romeo (So Smile The Heavens) leaves Juliet flowers every week. She adores them. 

Charlotte (The Leech Queen) would have probably written poetry if she had found herself worthy of it. 

Lune (A Game Of Light And Dark) finds incomprehensible peace in empty churches.

Susanoo, also known as Takehaya Susanoo-no-Mikoto and Kumano Ketsumiko no kami at Kumano shrine, is the Shinto god of the sea and storms. He is also considered to be ruler of Neno-Katasu-Kuni (now Yasugi, Shimane-ken). He is married to Kushinadahime.

He is the brother of Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun, and of Tsukuyomi, the god of the moon. All three were born from Izanagi when he washed his face clean of the pollutants of Yomi, the underworld. Amaterasu was born when Izanagi washed out his left eye, Tsukuyomi was born from the washing of the right eye, and Susanoo from the washing of the nose.
