Just wanted to say, Sasuke winking at Sakura was never happened in the manga, it was a translation error.

The translators at VIZ are fine, but they miss things, or by censoring or translate things differently, or change the context of certain words and scenes. In some places they mistranslated things, in other places they changed things, and in other places they were really inconsistent on whether or not they were going to mistranslate something. Another is that they miss nuances. VIZ translation and online scanlations are good and although both are sometimes equally inaccurate. I don't blame them or complain because a lot of people translating online put a lot of effort into it and try to portray it in the best quality possible.

But I hate VIZ for cutting out all the author text descriptions that are added at the beginning and end of each chapter. For eg:-

See the difference, do they really have to do this?

Ok now let's go see if Sasuke winks at Sakura or not.

The first one is from official VIZ translation and the bottom one is from the raw. The sound effect used in here is ニッ (ni) which means "smile; grin; smirk; heh". Thus it shows that he never winked at Sakura.

If you claim that the word bubble covered his left eye...let me show you something

Here Luffy was using second gear. Look at the orange bubble, it looks familiar, doesn't it? It's the same sfx 「ニッ」 used in the Sasuke panel. We can only see his back, but how do we know he is grinning, yes, it is because of the sfx used there. Without showing his face, we could tell he was actually grinning.

The same sfx is used here in this panel as well. Here both her eyes are shown closed.

If they're still claiming that Sasuke was winking, then I can only say that Luffy was winking at Blueno and that girl was winking while both her eyes were closed.

And I also wanna talk about Sasuke's leg shaking when he heard sakura's confession.

The sfx used in here is ピタ Pita = stops; freeze; pause. This same sfx used in VOTE 1

Sasuke was walking away while Sakura was confessing and he suddenly stopped and turned around to say, "You're really annoying." Sasuke was walking away in vote 1, and when he heard Naruto, he suddenly stopped, and turned around and called out his nickname, "yo, usuratonkachi"

If you want to know when Sasuke's legs start shaking/trembling, 1) it's during the UMC 2) when he's stuck against the wall and can't escape, and Itachi comes at him like he's going to pluck his eyes out. Sfx used in here is ガクガク (gaku gaku) - tremble tremble; shake shake

As for the sfx ガクッ (gaku) which means- Collapsing; losing strength; losing balance; slumping; bend with a jerk. In the first panel, he lose his balance and collapsing because what he's facing is not a dream, it's reality. The reality is that he lost his family and everyone. And he became alone. In the second panel he collapses due to the sudden pain in his shoulder.

- if you have a vr headset he will be using it constantly, if you don't move your furniture beforehand he will bump into things and claim it's not his fault he was so immersed in the game

- you made him try minecraft for the first time and he almost died out of boredom, until you introduced him to servers and mini games

- gaku seems like a xbox kinda guy so he definitely has the series x and pays for the game pass, though he has a ps4 and ps5 to play final fantasy

- playing horror games together and both of you freaking the fuck out whenever anything scary happens and then proceeding to turn it off and watch tv instead

- if you play the sims gaku will just sit next to you watching you complete your little tasks and occasionally set the house on fire, he doesn't advise you on anything, he just sits in silence

- the only game you win at every time is mario kart, gaku switches characters and cars every match to see if it changes anything but you still win and he gets so pouty cause it's the only one he consistently loses at

- sometimes gaku will just lay his head on your lap if you're playing a game alone in bed or on the couch, most of the time he accidentally falls asleep there and you unfortunately cannot move because of him

- he definitely used to play call of duty and battlefield knowing a bunch of trick shots and will only play them now on the main campaign cause kids these days are crazy playing multiplayer

- gaku does get pissed off when he realizes he has to go do something in the middle of a game, like if you ask him to do anything he will just sigh and say okay and do it but if anyone else tries he will literally tell them no it can wait until he's done

- buying each other video games or merch for christmas and birthdays happens every year

Gaku Yaotome

Gaku takes great pride in you being his s/o, practically everyone's darling around the company of both his coworkers, staff and friends

everyone except his sometimes, apparently.

He's 100% for you to be independent and having strong relationships with others, being dependable and all that. But he can tend to get...possessive for lack of a better term.

He knows he's special to you, thats something in which his confidence would never wain, but he does need his alone, quality time with you. It helps him recharge especially after a long day.

As much as he loves that you're always present and there for both his and your own friends, he's still not above blurting out his needs that you should take a break from tending to everyone else and do something chill with him, like watching a movie or going for a drive.

His schedule was already hectic in certain seasons, so quality time is important to him as it is

It doesn't happen too quick at least, he'll give at least a 2 week grace period before his arms wrap around you from behind and he practically begs you to not leave and go do something besides being at his side.

With that said, its pretty easy to recognize when he's jealous.

Even if he's on good terms with the person, there's a painfully particular frown he gives when you're talking to them and he's been left out while standing by.

One thats easy for people that aren't you to spot as well, which has led to much more teasing than he'd be willing to admit.

Though the good part is that after his bouts of jealousy he feels the need to make up for lost time by taking you to an expensive dinner to remind the both of you how exclusive your relationship is

Kujo Tenn

Tenn is conflicted

He once had an impulsive thought to take you out more, but all his ideas would greatly interfere with his schedule, at least the ones that he feels would be enough to consider quality time

Sometmes he feels like you belong to everyone and not just him; which isn't necassarily bad, in fact he can relate, always trying to please his fans over his own needs and wants

The fact you're so kind is part of why he fell for you. Even when he had his moments where other people would consider him cold, you were always nice and understanding towards him

But that doesn't mean he won't pout like an annoyed cat when he sees you mingling at small parties and even with his other group members while leaving him in the background practically.

At times he's even petty enough to excuse himself from the room while pretending he has something better to do (though he usually comes back at realizing he's being a tad childish)

Once you notice he's jealous he'll ignore you a bit as 'punishment' but all you have to do is pet his head or let him rest it on your lap and its like he's reset and all is forgiven

He won't go as far as wanting to have you cut contact with the person at least not verbally but you can tell when he'd prefer to have your attention more

Alternatively you can buy him sweets and he'll be a little more content

but he definitely wants to go on some kind of date with you. Maybe two for good measure. Of just you and him, whether its something a bit more outside like going to the amusment park or just spending the day in each other's presence without taking any other calls (unless its for work)

Tsunashi Ryunosuke

Ryunosuke is not a jealous man. He trusts his s/o 100% (which would be a catastrophe if his judgement of character wasn't astute before dating someone)

Though it'd be a lie to say he didn't still go through his bouts of loneliness when its been a while since he's seen his fellow group members or even you due to his schedule. He wants to be happier when you tell him about the other things you've done, but ends up having a bittersweet taste in his mouth after hearing it.

It moreso makes him feel bad that he can't control his emotions getting the better of him, rather than directing it towards you.

And so, after realization, Ryuu figures the best way to cure it is to try and catch you the next time the both of you have enough free time to make your relationship feel special again. Easier said than done though.

Unlike Gaku, he wouldn't ask for much in terms of spending time with you alone. Just a night spent at either of your homes, making dinner or even ordering in and watching something and talking.

Weirdly enough, his other friends notice faster than you his feelings about the matter. He still looks at you fondly when you aren't looking back, but its different.

After a few attempts at denying when being asked about it, he'd finally admit that he'd been missing you

Even if the person he's jealous of is in vicinity when they hear that its pretty hard to be upset with him when he puts on such a genuinely somber face

Ryuu tries not to make a big deal out of it, assuring that he's fine with whatever you choose to do with your time

Koga

Gets invited to Halloween parties

Likes that he can attend them without having to wear a suit

He dresses up and covers his face with a mask so people don't recognize him easily

Lets his wings out on full display since people would just think it's his costume

One thing that genuinely kind of annoys me sometimes is when people claim Hanzo with a sword now would beat Genji currently.

Yes it is true that when they were younger Hanzo was better than Genji, but that was 10 years ago. Hanzo hasn't even touched a sword in 10 years well Genji has been training every single day with one. Not to mention it is literally said Genji excelled at ninja training so it is probably easy to assume that the reason Hanzo was better because he's been doing it for longer ,he is older ,he probably had a couple years more training than Genji did.

And from the scarring on his black watch skin compared to the tapestry we can assume genji was unarmed when Hanzo almost killed Genji, so it's not even like they had an actual fight hand-to-hand seeing who was the better swordsman.

Gaku has said before though in his opinion despite all the years of training Genji has had over Hanzo at this point Genji would still think hanzo's better than him just holding himself back by using a bow.

But that's just what Genji would perceive, when in actuality there's no way Hanzo could still be better than Genji, Genji never once stopped training with his sword, Hanzo completely ditched the sword, and like with most skills even if they are muscle memory you will not be anywhere near as good as you want to work if you don't keep practicing. It would probably take Hanzo a little bit to get back to where he was let alone make 10 years of progress in such short time if he ever did pick up a sword again.

“Is there anything wrong, Gaku? Did something happen?” Your brows knit together in concern, as you unconsciously reach forward and take one of his hands in both of yours.

Your cluelessness was truly endearing sometimes, he thinks.

“I’m okay.” The idol smiles, his hand leaning against the touch of yours. “Just… I want to ask you something.”

Your stare fixates on his, the almost midnight sky at a standstill outside the old establishment’s windows.

“What would you say if I asked you… What if… No.” He brings his free hand to his forehead. “Okay, don’t hate me for this, please.” Are the last words you hear before he tugs on your entwined hands and his lips crash against yours. 1. Gai - Jetman

Peak archetypal Inoue scumbag. He's a creep he's pathetic he's deeply repressed in multiple ways but most importantly he's cool as fuck. Him and Ryu have the most yaoi dynamic that has ever yaoied, every scene between them they were having sex actually ! Spoilers ! his death is also both the most earned and deserved death ever. Earned as in he proved himself to be a force for the greater good after rejecting the responsibility constantly, he died surrounded by ppl who love him and was killed performing a heroic act; deserved bc he was very much a creepy asshole, ESPECIALLY to Kaori. Like I love him but Kaori didn't deserve any of that

(Toshihide Wakamastu also super hot. like having a guy that looks like THAT wear leather gloves all the time should be illegal)

2. Jan - Gekiranger

Best sentai red hands down. His arc of becoming a more focused and less feral hero (his domestication arc if you will) is so well done. Him and Leo have a fantastic rivalry (literally destined to kill each other shit) that is also super yaoi. He could have easily been super annoying but thankfully his irrational behavior comes off more endearing (and understandable literally everything is new and confusing to him) thanks in part due to Hiroki Suzuki's great acting (and great face). he's just a lil kitty cat!!!!

3. Asakura - Kamen Rider Ryuki

He's killed dozens of ppl, he was born in a toilet and ate literal shit for years, he serves cunt while having never bathed in his life, he's the character of all time

I adore how the writers do TWO redemption fakeouts w/ him (didn't actually want to reunite w/ his brother nor cared abt that little girl he was "protecting") to drive the point home that this guy? is a agent of pure violence and chaos. he is basically non-human and cannot be reasoned with. This makes him a great narrative foil for "desperately tries to see the good in everyone" Shinji and a great yaoi foil for "literally my job to keep you in order" Kitaoka

Ryuki was a perfect starter kamen rider/toku show for me solely bc of this dude. my hole made for me <3

4. Taiga - Kamen Rider Ex-Aid

Me darling ice king <333 Seriously Taiga is the best character in ex-aid (aside from Poppy). I love how he mirrors Hiiro; both highly prideful and that pride leads them to do more destructive things in pursuit of what they believe is the greater good but really is more so just abt salvaging their bruised egos. And neither them could save Saki as Kuroto guaranteed her death by spraying her w/ more gamer disease

That and his partnership w/ Nico is so charming; hilarious in how Nico's bullheaded attitude forced Taiga to lighten the fuck up and genuinely heartbreaking when Nico was totally hysterical when Taiga nearly died. In short, he has layers like an onion and the sour taste of one too luv himmmmm

ALSO ALSO THE ONLY GUY WHO WANTED TO KILL KUROTO BUT EMU AND HIIRO WERE LIKE "noooo we can't kill this bio terrorist that'd be wrong :( for some reason" based Taiga always correct

5. Yellow/Gaku - Gaoranger

This pick is entirely subjective. He's not super deep or complex by any means (nothing in Gaoranger is, even for a sentai it's light on everything expect batshit insanity) BUT he is very Gender and Just Like Me fr

I love how his character (battle hardened military grunt) could've easily been a no-fun straight man but he acts more like an eldest brother to the team (rational and strict when it comes to immediately dangerous matters but amicable and goofy when it comes to boosting team morale). That and his lil details like randomly speaking English or being morally against eating birds give him that bit more flavor

For the character bingo: Prince Hal/Henry V of Shakespeare's plays (If you know him), Natsume from Natsume's Book of Friends, Gaku and Yamato from IDOLiSH7, and Miri from Buddy Daddies

this is great because i only know three out of five of them and one of the characters i do know is 4 years old. i have not actually seen natsume's book of friends. shall answer you nonetheless

i only reblog natsume's book of friends posts because of @joelletwo, (who i hope will enjoy this bingo); i think he's cute, i did watch a few episodes of natsuyuu, he's like kimihiro watanuki (one of my characters of all time) if he was less fucked up but also kept trying to get a psychosis diagnosis as a child, which means i like him, and i also like when he's mean to his cat

gaku:

gaku is like . i don't think there's a universe where he's my favorite idolish7 character but i do love him a lot. he's cute and funny and likable and a GOOD MAN w an interesting character backstory and motivations. i also like how he looks. the half check over 'didn't get bullied enough' is just because i think it's funny when he gets bullied. 'if anything happens to them i will cry'.... honestly, gaku being sad hits different. hes willing 2 express emotions and whenever i see him struggle, in canon or in fics, im like... no :"( . it hits harder than a lot of other i7 characters. blorbo by proxy is bc of @nitunio who loves gaku very much

yamato:

i actually really really like yamato's design. the weird smiley face in bastard is that honestly i DON'T think he's a bad person at ALL, but i like when fics give him bitch energy because i think it's funny. he is a petty bitch and he should be appreciated for that. also now im having second thoughts on 'don't get bullied enough' because yuki bullies him so much already but you know what. he can take more. like gaku it's very funny. (i also think pythag should bully him). anyway gah. hes a fun guy. another chara that i don't think would make it into a favorite characters list but like. ill still rotate him

miri:

miri is like. out of all the things i love in buddy daddies her character's probably the thing done least well? she's got all of this interesting backstory, but we never really get serious miri character exploration, and she is pretty annoying; which like, is realistic, and it didn't bother me much on a rewatch, but like. they could have done way more with her. i feel like her family issues should have affected her more and she could have been a bit sharper and aware of things going on around her, at least as a slow realization written with some of the innocence of childhood. (i've seen that done pretty well in fics!)

i do like to think about grown up miri's story, though. she makes a very cute teenager in the ending. and i do like her <3 id kiss her on the forehead and give her a piggyback ride any day.

• at first gaku won't even say that he's sick, you just figure it out when he's more lazy than usual but isn't even playing his games on his console and is sniffling often while coughing

• he really doesn't see a big deal in being sick, it's not like he can call out of work for the day like a normal person, so he just deals with it and continues on with his day

• except you insist on taking care of him and making sure he rests enough and gets better as quickly as possible

• gaku could be throwing up over and over and he would still say he has to work, you will have to lock all the windows in the house so he doesn't leave

• in the beginning gaku is a little irritated by how much you want to help him, but then sees that you care about him enough to help while he's sick and gives in

• then he will just follow your orders of resting and making sure he's 100% okay before going back to working, especially if it's a bad cold or sickness that he's our of commission for a couple days

• he will continuously ask you to be in the bed with him even though he knows you'll likely get sick too but he wants you around while he doesn't feel well

• he silently enjoys your pampering of him while he's sick, he may look annoyed but he's loving every second of attention your giving him

• after that sometimes he'll fake being sick just so you take care of him again, loving the feeling of being cared for and loved

• gaku will use those opportunities to spend time he can't with you, mainly by watching movies with you or playing video games with you

• he enjoys the soups you make for him even if they have barely any flavor he knows they're supposed to be good for him and help, and he always leaves his bowl empty when he's done

• gaku sleeps a lot when he's sick, so he will mainly eat and then go to sleep immediately after, and he insists you cuddle him and sleep a little with him

• overall he very much enjoys and cherishes the fact you take care of him when he's sick and will try his best to help you when you're sick as well
