The Great Old Ones

Divine Beings are split into 3 Types. Gods how rule over the aspects of the Universe, Guardians how guard them and Origins how bring new Life into the world.

The Great Old Ones are the highest of the Gods, they represent the Cycle of creation and the Balance of all Forces. Unlike the other gods who just rule over and stabilize their Domain (see here), the Great Old Ones are living embodiments of their Domains. They defined the rules of nature and can change the very fabric of the Universe, but should one of them die, creation itself might come to an end. This however is highly unlikely as they can prevent opposing Pokémon from using any Moves while in their Origin/Eternamax Forms (like Eternatus in SwSh without the help of Zacian & Zamazenta).

Eternatus black and white are technically two halves of the same being. So the legends usually speak of four great Old Ones, not five. Sometimes Bluescreen the God of Corruption is counted as a great Old One, even though he has no power over creation. (more to him later)

Because of their insane Power the Old Ones rarely interact with the universe directly, so if you ever saw one of them, it's likely that you actually only saw one of their fragments. This applies especially if you ever cought one in a Pokeball.

Base Origins

This took longer than intended to finish as I'm still not sure how I want to do backgrounds, my methods may change as I go on. Let me know if any dialogue is too difficult to read.

Before anything, I wanted to work on a quick relationship diagram to keep on track myself and to give some more context behind relationships for everyone else! please enjoy!

The Absol's name is Icarus, the Diancie is Diantha, and the twins down there are Data and Slinky respectively!

I finally got the motivation to design my own takes on Missingno and an ancient mew! They’re still kind of rough in concept, but I really like them!

So the first design is the ancient, or in my universe, a “first generation” Mew. Gaia is the last Mew of their kind and is about as old as the universe itself. One would expect that seeing the other mews of their kind slowly move on would affect them, but it doesn’t seem to. Gaia is quite the cheerful soul with a childish demeanor, being quite immature for their age. (Likely an unhealthy coping mechanism)

They prefer to watch what they helped create develop instead of taking a hands on approach anymore. Their power has diminished with age, but they are still quite powerful and like to mess around with humans or other creatures with it. Gaia’s fondness for humans is a bit uncommon among first generation Mews, but it’s preferable to them absolutely hating them.

Now it’s time to introduce my universe’s version of Missingno (once again inspired by @phlurrii’s Missingno and Pokemon Infinite Fusion)

Missingno, or MIS, is a severely glitched Porygon that was made this way due to someone finding and installing an out of universe Dubious Disc. While it would normally mess Porygon up, the unfamiliar disc caused the Porygon to gain unnatural data and become extremely unstable. To save it, Gaia made MIS organic by giving it a soul and turning the Porygon into a natural Pokémon, not a digital one.

However, MIS still doesn’t know what Pokémon it is as it all the data of the original 151 Kanto Pokémon in it. So it doesn’t have a set form, but it seems to prefer to take the form of an Eevee. Some of their digital mechanics still exist, so their forms are extremely glitched. Still better than being a blob of nothing though.

So I have a rough idea for how “Ancient Mew” (called “origin mew) and mews function in my world.

Things would stay mostly the same game and lore wise. Arceus creates Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina to create this universe and Origin Mew, the original Mew, is tasked with populating everything. However, they are not allowed to actually “create” anything. They had to create things based of what Arceus, Dialga, and Palkia created. After the base species were created, the Origin Mew’s job was to make sure that everything remained “stable”.

Origin Mew was saddened by the idea of never being able to create something for itself. Even the later Mews were demanded by Arceus. Over the billions of years, it gradually stepped back and let the other Mews take its job of establishing pokemon and helping the other legendaries create new legendaries/mythicals.

The “baseline” pokemon were only the first few generations before they began to be able to thrive on their own, with the occasional help to make sure that the species lived on. Legendaries/mythicals could only be created if it was created in collaboration of another legendary and Mew.

Now, the Origin is considered just a story to even other mews. It still exists, as it resides on Earth due to having a strange fondness for humans. The Origin Mew stayed mostly dormant and hidden, until Mewtwo was created. It knew that it shouldn’t save the creature, Mewtwo was destined to fail like the other clones. Though, seeing it as its child and only true creation , it gave it the gift to be able thrive.

My idea for this is that Origin Mew is sort of apathetic, but not cruel. It enjoys watching humans as they change and evolve while caring for the Mewtwos that they created. In fact, it may appreciate humans for giving them the thing that they always wanted.

Again, this is just a rough outline of what I’ve thought up and would serve as a starting point for a couple of stories that I wanna tell. Feel free to give me some feedback as well! It’s always appreciated!

Around 2006-2007 with the Quizilla forum board? And then just a little later, Gaia Online and that's where I was until Tumblr around 2010ish maybe with some short stints on indie forum boards and I think some Myspace RPing too.

☕ What was the first muse that you’ve written?

I honestly can't remember my first Quizilla one, I'm sure it was some self-insert or like a wolf or something. It might have been an extremely OOC version of Zakuro from Tokyo Mew Mew, icr. As far as TUMBLR? I think it was either Moran inspired by BBC Sherlock or Dave from Homestuck.

☕ Do you still write your first muse?

I still technically write Sebastian Moran in the sense his blog still exists. I'll try every so often to revive it (I think my last attempt was May of last year?), but he's a character from a version of a fandom that he was never technically canon in and has a Reputation(tm) now and even just saying he's a modern Sherlock blog yields little because even book and mixed media Sherlock is a pretty low activity fandom. That and he's just a complex villain character and it's just hard to find an audience for that that doesn't either try and one-up them constantly to power trip or tries to Fix them or fuck them or whatever. A lot of vet RPers are at an older age now and lots of us are dead dove blogs now trying to delve into more complex shit, so maybe the environment is better for his blog now iDK

☕ What is the muse that you write for the longest?

Consistently? Clark. He's been through one complete makeover from a L4D oc to a SPN oc and then a light makeover to an indie supernatural oc. But I think the most time I've taken off from writing him like every day is maybe a year? Otherwise, Moran just in terms of existing I think.

☕ In what style did you start to write (First person, third person, *-style or novel-style?)

I've never done anything but third person on Tumblr and I'm pretty sure, aside from some short blips of trying out second person writing on earlier platforms, I've always written third person novel-style.

☕ What caused you to start writing? What was your key point?

I genuinely wished I remembered what exactly made it click. I loved reading and had been writing shitty lil' kid stories for awhile and so I think when I stumbled upon forum boards and saw people were pretending to be their characters on the computer I was just like 'I wanna do that'

Tales of Origin

Part 3: Anima

When Azazel and Gaia created the Origin, they brought live into their Universe. And as always with these things, live has to come to an end one day. So Gaia dedicated the Ethereal, as a place were the dead could go to reenter the Soul cycle and prepare for their next incarnation. But the cycle was not complete, with Gaia and Azazel as Incarnates of begining and existence, there was still one Old One missing. There was no Incarnate of endings.

Gaia knew that this was a problem, Gods are supposed to be physical representations of their Domains and stabilize the naturally chaotic nature of the Universe, but the Old Ones hold even greater power. They each are Incarnates of one part of the circle of Existence and without even one of them, the very Cycle of Reality becomes undone, new things struggle to begin, existence becomes uncertain or things can't come to a proper end.

And so Gaia went into the Distortion, the last of the Planes of existence, created by Giratina to shield the Universe from itself and to contain the powerful Cucible. She asked Giratina for help, since he had been a god connected with death and endings it the previous Universe. But since Gaias power had waned from creating the Origin, they couldn't just create a new God like they had before, they would need to let it grow like a mortal.

So they choose to replicate the method of how Pokemon reproduce and combined their Infinity Energy to form an Egg, which should hatch the last Old One. The process worked and an egg was created unlike any other that had ever been or would ever be. And Gaia took the egg back with her to the Material, to incubate it and the Universe waited patiently for it's last great Old One, the Incarnate of Ending.

But a Problem unforeseen by Gaia soon manifested. The egg, having come from two beings not originally from this Universe, was rejected by creation and thus unable to hatch. On top of that the Being forming inside was a Hybrid of Gaia and Giratina, which were not supposed to exist in this World, as Gaia had seen the impact of such beings in her old Universe.

And so the last Old One, Anima as Gaia had wanted to name her, could not hatch from it's egg and while her soul having formed already meant that the cycle was at least partailly closed, without her hatching the path for souls to the afterlife was still obstructed. Gaia not wanting to go against her own Domain of creation, didn't try to force the egg to hatch, but she also feared starting over, as destroying an Old one could have unforeseen consequences.

Gaia had only two choices, start over and face the consequences or wait and look for an alternative way, she chose the later. So Anima could not hatch and close the cycle of live and over the 3.5 Billion years, she waited the cycle corrupted. With the path to the afterlife obstructed, many souls got stuck and lingered in the material, where they interacted with thier surroundings, which spooked the still living and pulled the Ethereal closer to the Material. As a result Spirit Vortexes started to appear in the Material.

In an attempt to stabilize the cycle Eternatus, Incarnate of Balance, took hold of the Nexus of Ending and created a new Pokémon type, the Ghost-type, in order to bind the lost Souls back to the Material and stop the Ethereal from moving towards the Material. These Ghost-types, had usually died but came back as new Pokemon, thus skiping the Nexus of ending and completing the cycle. Animas soul also used this incident to reach out to a living being and create the first Reaper. But this could only be a temorary fix, the Universe needed it's last Old One.

Then as things seemed dire, finally Gaia found a way to solve this Problem without starting over. But for that she would need to rely on the power of an other being, though that is a story for another time.

Gaia lifts her drink to her mouth and takes a sip. She seemes thought full. Your right, this tastes horrible. And I can't even get drunk. ... How about I give it a better flavor.

She snappes and the alcohol now tastes like Sprite, it still works though.

Ah I'm getting of topic am I not. I wanted to tell you my buissnes. Well you see, I happen to be in need of a MissingNo.s corruption but it has to be from a different Universe than mine. So imagine my surprise when I noticed your Aura.

So I came to ask, if you'd be willing to give me some of your essence. And I'm not asking you to give it for free, so if there's something I can do for you, tell me. ... As long as it's within reason of course.

She toasts at Alaxia and awaits his answer.

Okay, I wound up coming up with some designs for my universe’s mew/newtwo. I can’t say what I wanna do with them just yet. They’re kinda in “story limbo” with Gaia and MIS.

They’re canon, but don’t really have a story purpose. If people really wanna see more of these 4 weirdos, then I may start an art ask blog with them where people can just ask random questions and I’ll answer them with some art as a little fun thing to do on the side while this is my main story.

(The names are just placeholders rn)

UM. HELP. I DON'T KNOW I JOHN POST SO MUCH IT'S MY FOURTH MOST USED TUMBLR TAG. In her source novel she graduated from an Ivy League, I believe specifically Harvard? Her source novel is also often cited as having "predicted" the sinking of the Titanic (Nearly identical ship names, wrecking after collision with an iceberg in the Atlantic in April, not enough lifeboats, even down to the boat sizes- The fictional Titan being 800ft long and the Titanic being 882ft). Though obviously that's false :sob: Morgan Robertson, the author, was just a sailor himself for years so of course had an understanding of the waters. What else. I made her birthday October 18th because that's my birthday (And the publishing date of the first edition of Moby Dick which is why I chose it. Heart emoji.)

Not at all her immune system is crazy. Didn't get sick for like 20 years got sepsis once and hasn't been sick since. Like all the good luck caught up and she got 20 years worth of sickness at once. And now it repeats. So John watch out in your 60s. "How did she survive having sepsis" Dyke powers.

Turtle Dove initially drew more inspo from a sys member than her source itself. That's still primarily the case, though Turtle Dove's evolved beyond "Avelot's Sinner insert" into an actual OC. (<- Same goes for Gaia). Reap has one of my favorite designs also... She has a slight association with knighthood due to the sys member reap was initially just the insert of highly valuing and having an interest in it, viewing itself as a knight so far as to essentially have her gender be "knight". It's why I gave Turtle Dove a Zwei West ID despite fucking hating the Zwei and everything they are. But honestly I think I'll probably scrap it because even with the knight thing I'm not having my damn OC be a cop. Okay 4th one for fun reaps stuffed animal is named Mr. Mew :]

Not really, I think. Noise is kinda hollow so I think even if she got sick she would not realize it because she's so detached :sob:
