■小学生の頃にThe Beatlesを聴いて洋楽に目覚める。小４にしてファンクラブに入会。 ■高校時代の佐藤先輩の影響で黒人音楽に目覚める。 ■1988年、大学時代にニューオーリンズのカバーバンドDIXIE TANTASを結成。一時解散するも、再結成後「全国出前ライブ」と称して大学祭、全国各地のお祭り、イベント等で精力的にライブを行い話題となる。

■1996年8月7日 ニューオーリンズ系R&Bバンド

DIXIE TANTAS

（1996-2003）で、プロデュースにカーネーションの直枝政太郎氏を迎え、MAXI SINGLE『明日の夢をみるところ』で

avexのカッティング・エッジ

よりメジャーデビュー。ボーカルを務め、ほとんど全曲の作曲および作詞を手がける。セカンド・シングルからはすべてセルフ・プロデュースでリリース。計、アルバム2枚、マキシシングル4枚、シングル3枚を世に送り出す。

■1998年 FM-FUJIにて、ラジオのレギュラー番組を開始。ゲストにG.LOVEなどを迎えるなどして舞い上がる！その後、東京MXテレビ『電力ビートボックス』の司会なども務める。

『super scream』がハウスバーモントカレーのCM曲に採用される。･･･が、直後に和歌山毒入りカレー事件が起こり、ほとんど放映されず。。。無念。。。　 12月9日、The God Father of Soul＝J.B.（ジェームス・ブラウン）の赤坂ブリッツにて行われた来日公演でDIXIE TANTASにてオープニングアクトを務める。

■2003年3月　音楽性とともにバンド名を『PONTIAC』に変更してスタート。ベースボーカル、ピアノボーカルを務める。（���在はバンド名を『

PONTIAC BLUES

』とし、精力的に活動中）。

自らインディペンデント・レーベルを主催。SPY RECORDSを設立する。

■2005年7月　山川のりを氏の誘いで

ギターパンダ

にベース、コーラスでサポート参加。

■2006年4月　PONTIAC BLUESの別ユニットとしてBack Soul Invadersを結成。

■2006年8月　自身のオフィシャルウェブサイト『Rockin' Slide Slim』を開設。
