G'raha Tia vs Zenos
I wonder who would win a fan off between G'raha Tia and Zenos for the Warrior of Light.
Both are probably the two most knowledge about you in the entire star.
G'raha knows your exploits and legend by heart.
Zenos knows your techniques and fighting style by muscle memory.
G'raha literally sacrificed the future Source and broke metaphysical laws to time travel in order to bring you back from the dead and impressed an Ascian by reverse engineering three gods.
Zenos literally came back from the dead, killed his father, brought about the Final Days and released Zodiark as a backdrop for your fight, then traveled across the universe to save and fight you.
G'raha knows your soul from studying how to find you, and probably can recognize you instantly wherever.
Zenos knows the most about your body considering he literally stole it for a few hours to see how you existed.
They're even the classic 'Bad Boy vs Good Boy' trope.
I genuinely don't know who has more faith in the WoL. G'raha bet the Source and First on you and Zenos asked why you hadn't bodied the incarnation of extinction when he got there.
I need a fic of them fighting over who knows the WoL best.

A kiss in the snow.
About two years ago, I posed Aedric & G'raha kissing for the first time! I put G'raha up on these very stairs so he could be at a more manageable height for kissing haha. Under the cut here are the first kiss screenshots I ever made, March 4th, 2022:
I'd like to think how much I've grown as a person and a creator since then. It's nice to see some improvement!! :)

Hi, I finished Endwalker in under a week, I feel fine... I'm fine. ... I'm fine. It's fine. It's fine. Fine. Also G'raha Tia. He is the biggest WoL Simp and I love him. When do we get to bring NPCs to our Island Sanctuary, Square Enix? Anyway... Here some quick sketches and not so quick colored sketch of this catboy

The Light is finally getting to her. Though it was a foreseen consequence, and he knows what must be done at the end of it all, it hurts nonetheless knowing that she is in pain. He had hoped it would be largely painless until such time as she slayed the final Lightwarden. Seeing her now, uncertain and a little frightened, brings a sudden, striking pang of clarity to the situation. This is real. She is real. And he’s killing her.
Aching with nostalgia, yearning, and guilt — so, so much guilt — G’raha takes what little solace he can in her hesitant smile as he takes a step back and prepares to leave.
“I should not keep you from your rest,” he finishes, trying not to notice the way her face falls as he turns to leave. “Take all the time you need.”
At the sound of his clear dismissal, Kirika feels her stomach drop, moment slipping through her fingers before she can catch it. Desperate to seize this chance to speak with him — to have an outside opinion from someone who knows her — to be close to him before the Light consumes her utterly — she reaches for him, gasping, “Wait!”
He nearly startles, stilling in the doorway. Though she cannot see his eyes, she can imagine how wide they must be as his lips part slightly.
“I — that is, will you come in for a moment?” she asks, wincing a little at her own stammering. She hurries forward when his face only looks more shocked, wringing her hands as she adds, “Just for a moment. I had something I wanted to talk to you about — to ask you, rather.”
“Me?” he asks, seeming surprised. “Are you certain you don’t want me to fetch one of the others? Surely—“
“No, I —“ she starts, but cuts herself off abruptly a moment later. What is she supposed to say? I know who you are and I want you to talk to me like we used to before you locked yourself in that tower? Please. Slumping a little, she shuffles her feet and says, “I just… I feel like they don’t always see me. Plus, it’s — I suppose a question for a healer, maybe. I don’t know. If you’re uncomfortable, I underst—“
“—I’m not!”
She blinks, startled, only to find him just as flustered as she feels. He wrings his hands, clearing his throat as he steps forward into the room. “That — That is to say, I’m not uncomfortable. I am here to help. I can help. I will.”
She smiles a little, the nervous shuffling so clearly G’raha’s mannerisms that she can’t help but want to laugh as he closes the door behind him.
“Now, then what can I do for you?” asks the Exarch, trying very much to sound more sure of himself than he had.
Kirika sighs softly, tail flicking nervously as she gestures at her face. “It’s — my eyes have been bothering me. Do you mind to take a look?”
“Your… your eyes?”
He'd be lying if he said he wasn’t confused by the request. A part of him screams as he drifts even closer, yelling to call for a chirurgeon and put space back between them. That careful wall he’d built is so, painfully close to toppling at the slightest breeze, but far be it from him to ever, ever tell her no when she really asks for him.
Hesitantly, he steels himself, gaze running over her face and lingering on her eyes, years of training switching on his healer instincts the moment his eyes catch on the dark shadows beneath hers. Carefully, he reaches for her face, cupping her cheeks to tilt her head to his liking, ducking his own head to change the angle as he looks for anything that might be amiss.
She looks perfectly healthy, if a little tired, but, well, there is something…
“…I’m not sure what I should be looking for. Can you tell me what it was that was worrying you?”
Her lips twitch, a sad, small smile settling at the corners. “I’d rather hear your thoughts first, lest my ideas color your perception. I… I worry that I may be imagining things, but if someone else should see it…”
He hums in response, leaning that much closer in an attempt to confirm his suspicions. He tilts her chin down, and she goes willingly, until she’s looking up at him from under her eyelashes — and, as the shadow of his hood falls across them, he realizes that it is not, in fact, a trick of the light.
Her eyes have changed color — as has her hair, now that he’s this close.
“…is it silly of me to be disappointed that I can’t see under your hood like this?”
He blinks as her voice, soft and sweet, reaches his ears. His eyes refocus on her face, and he finds her eyes lingering, unabashed, on his lips.
And it hits him all at once, what position he’s put them in.
Kirika wants to laugh when the Exarch clearly startles, snatching his hands back from her face as quickly as if she’d burned him. His cheeks darken, something she can see even below the effect of the enchantment obscuring his eyes, and his mouth opens and closes several times as he searches for words.
Looking away, he clears his throat and crosses his arms as he says, “I — yes. Right. It — Your eyes. They’ve changed color, I think.”
Whatever butterflies had been dancing in her belly seem to fall into stillness at his words. She stiffens, grabbing at one of her elbows as she drops her gaze to the floor.
“Ah. It is as I thought, then. Thank… thank you, for confirming my fears,” she murmurs, squeezing at her arm in an attempt to fight back the wave of nausea threatening to overtake her.
It’s changing her.
Permanently.
“…Kirika.”
The sound of her name on his tongue is like a melody, and she looks up at him as he steps closer again, reaching for her free hand, clasping it between both of his — and again, it strikes her how strange the temperature difference is. The crystal is cool like stone, while the hand of flesh is as warm as any other man’s.
Squeezing gently, he pulls her hand close to his heart, leaning forward as if to catch her eyes with his. Though she cannot see them, she can almost imagine those ruby red eyes she’d grown so fond of all that time ago looking back at her.
“I will see you through this,” he says, voice low and rough with emotion. “You will live. I will make sure of it. I promise.”
She smiles helplessly. “Are you in the habit of making empty promises, Exarch? Or am I special?”
He shakes his head. “‘Tis anything but empty. If there is one promise I will ever keep, it is this one to you. You may hold me to it.”
She doesn’t believe him — how could she? — but the strength of his conviction does soothe the anxiety roiling in her chest. Hesitantly, she nods, squeezing his hand back.
“Alright…”
When he leaves this time, she’s sure she catches the distinct, pleased curl of a tail beneath his robes before the door shuts behind him.

A Dreamer’s Heart
G'raha tia x reader
G’raha Tia has been acting strangely around you for days now.
At first, you thought he was just tired from recent missions or maybe caught up in his research. But then you started noticing the lingering glances, the way his ears would twitch and his cheeks would turn pink whenever you spoke to him. It became unmistakable – G’raha was hiding something, and whatever it was, it seemed to involve you.
It all comes to a head one afternoon when you overhear a hushed conversation in the Rising Stones.
“G’raha, if you don’t tell them soon, I swear I’ll do it for you,” Thancred is saying, his tone somewhere between amused and exasperated.
G’raha’s response is barely more than a mumble. “I know, I know… I just – I don’t want to make a mess of it.”
Curiosity gets the best of you, and you round the corner to see G’raha, Thancred, and Alisaie all gathered around a table, talking intently. When they see you, G’raha freezes, eyes widening as his ears flatten against his head.
“Y/N!” he says, his voice jumping an octave. “Uh… I didn’t expect to see you here.”
You smile, tilting your head. “What are you three up to? Seems like a serious discussion.”
Thancred raises an eyebrow at G’raha, clearly enjoying his embarrassment. “Just a little… planning session. G’raha’s been working on something special.”
G’raha glares at him, though the blush on his cheeks gives him away. “I… ah, well, yes. A bit of a project. Nothing important!”
But you notice how his eyes flick away from you, the way he fidgets with his sleeve, and a small, fond smile touches your lips. “You know, G’raha, if there’s something you’d like to tell me, I’m all ears.”
G’raha stares at you, visibly struggling to find his words. Finally, Alisaie takes pity on him.
“Oh, for heaven’s sake!” She rolls her eyes, giving him a firm nudge. “G’raha wants to ask you out, Y/N.”
There’s a beat of stunned silence as G’raha’s face turns bright red.
“Alisaie!” he hisses, but she only crosses her arms, looking entirely unapologetic.
You feel a warm flush rise to your cheeks as well, but you’re delighted by the revelation. “G’raha… is that true?”
He rubs the back of his neck, staring at the ground. “Yes,” he mumbles, too embarrassed to meet your gaze. “I… I wanted to ask you on a… on a date. But I wasn’t sure how you’d feel about it.”
Thancred, apparently eager to lighten the mood, claps a hand on G’raha’s shoulder. “We’ve all been trying to help him plan something nice. He wants everything to be perfect for you.”
G’raha manages a bashful smile, finally looking up to meet your eyes. “They, uh… they insisted I make it memorable. I just didn’t want to make you uncomfortable, Y/N.”
“I’d love to go on a date with you, G’raha,” you say warmly, watching as relief floods his expression. “Whatever you plan, I’m sure it’ll be wonderful.”
G’raha looks like he’s just won a battle. His eyes light up, and his tail swishes happily behind him. “Truly? I… well, all right, then!” He clears his throat, trying to regain his composure. “It’s… it’s a surprise, so I’ll tell you more later. But, thank you, Y/N. This… this means a lot.”
Thancred and Alisaie exchange a smirk, and you can’t help but laugh, charmed by G’raha’s obvious nerves.
The Day of the Date
The day of your date arrives, and G’raha has arranged to meet you at the edge of the Central Shroud. As you approach the meeting spot, you see him standing there, a woven basket in one hand and a slightly anxious smile on his face.
“Y/N! You… you look lovely,” he stammers, his cheeks tinting pink as he takes in your appearance.
“Thank you, G’raha,” you reply, beaming. “And you look… incredibly prepared.”
He chuckles, a little self-conscious. “I may have had some help, to be honest. But… I wanted this to be special.”
You reach out to give his hand a reassuring squeeze. “I’m just happy to be here with you. No need to be nervous.”
His shoulders relax, and he leads you down a secluded path that winds through the trees, golden sunlight filtering through the leaves. Eventually, you come to a small clearing beside a quiet stream. There, under the shade of a sprawling tree, G’raha has set up a simple but charming picnic – a blanket, some soft cushions, and a spread of snacks and treats. You notice a small bouquet of flowers resting near the basket.
“Oh, G’raha, this is beautiful,” you say, touched by the effort he’s put into the setup.
He scratches his ear, clearly flustered. “I… I wanted to make sure you enjoyed yourself. The others helped me pick out the food – apparently, Estinien is quite the critic when it comes to cheese.”
You laugh at the thought, sitting down beside him on the blanket. “So, it was a team effort?”
“Very much so.” He grins, reaching into the basket to offer you a drink. “Alphinaud gave me advice on conversation topics. He was worried I’d bore you with too much Tower lore.”
“And Y’shtola?” you ask, amused.
G’raha winces slightly. “She told me to ‘just be myself’ and not make a fool of myself. Though she didn’t seem terribly convinced I’d manage it.”
You giggle, feeling warmth spread through you at the thought of all your friends helping G’raha with this date. “Well, I think you’re doing wonderfully.”
He lets out a relieved sigh, smiling shyly. “Thank you, Y/N.”
The two of you settle in, enjoying the spread of food G’raha has brought. Between bites, you fall into easy conversation, sharing stories and laughing together. G’raha’s usual shyness gradually melts away, and he begins sharing tales of his travels and the time he spent studying the Crystal Tower. His eyes light up as he talks, and you find yourself captivated, not by the tales themselves but by the passion in his voice.
“I could talk about that Tower forever,” he admits, catching himself. “It’s been such a big part of my life. But… well, I don’t want to bore you.”
You shake your head, smiling. “Not at all. I love hearing you talk about it – it’s clear how much it means to you.”
He blushes, looking down at his hands. “It’s… easier to share it with you, I think. Knowing you’re here… it just makes it feel more meaningful.”
His words make your heart flutter, and for a moment, neither of you speaks, content to simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. You watch the way the light catches in G’raha’s eyes, the gentle smile on his lips. It’s as if the whole world has melted away, leaving only the two of you in this quiet, sunlit haven.
Eventually, G’raha clears his throat, glancing at you nervously. “Y/N, I… I wanted to tell you something. I… well, you must have noticed by now, but…”
You raise an eyebrow, smiling. “What is it?”
He takes a deep breath, visibly gathering his courage. “I… I have feelings for you,” he finally says, his voice barely above a whisper. “I’ve felt this way for some time now, but I didn’t know how to tell you. I thought maybe… maybe you’d see me as just a friend, or that I wouldn’t be enough for someone like you.”
“G’raha…” You reach out, taking his hand in yours. “You don’t have to worry about that. I care about you, too.”
His eyes widen, a look of pure relief and happiness crossing his face. “You… you mean it?”
“Of course I do,” you say, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. “You’re one of the kindest, most genuine people I know. And spending time with you… it’s become one of my favorite parts of every day.”
G’raha looks as if he might burst from joy, his ears perking up and his tail flicking back and forth. “I… I didn’t dare hope you’d feel the same way,” he says, his voice filled with wonder.
The two of you share a quiet, tender moment, simply holding hands and basking in the warmth of each other’s presence. Eventually, G’raha leans a little closer, his gaze flicking down to your lips and back up to your eyes, silently asking permission.
You nod, and he closes the remaining distance, his lips brushing yours in a gentle, heartfelt kiss. The world seems to fade away, leaving only the warmth of his touch and the softness of his breath. When you finally pull back, you find him staring at you, eyes shining with

In Shadowbringers neither G'raha nor Emet Selch really know Elysia. G'raha only knows his hero, his idol; he only knows the Warrior of Light. Emet Selch only knows Azem or Lucifer; her past incarnation. And even back then Lucifer was nowhere near genuine with Emet Selch and he views her through rose tinted glasses anyways.
Elysia knows this. It actually permeates every single conversation she has with them. They both seem to know her so intimately and yet they don't know her at all. G'raha Tia can recite her exploits and heroics like they're gospel and Emet Selch speaks to her as if he's known her for thousands of years (he has; through hundreds of her incarnations across the shards) Elysia knows that the Exarch and the first need their hero, and she knows that Emet Selch is searching for something within her. And she is nothing if a people pleaser.
She's mad at both of them but her very nature now is merely to be a puppet. She's grown desensitized. She will be the muse, the fantasy, the hero; anything but her true self.
G'raha and Emet Selch both try to get to know her too- they just fail and can't accept Elysia for who she truly is (in the moment, ofc)
G'raha can't accept that his hero is actually a selfish, vain, nihilistic monster (at this point in the story at least) and doesn't care for salvation. Elysia is just too scared to die and too scared to be left alone so she does all the hero business. But eventually Shadowbringers pushes her to almost suicidal ideation and G'raha sees her at her lowest and ugliest. How can this be the hero? He wonders. Sure he has his plan to save her but she is so resigned to her fate with the knowledge that she will destroy the First and it shocks him because he's believed for the longest time that she was infallible, immortal- an angel. But standing before him now is a girl who has nothing to lose anymore. (G'raha wonders if he should just let her die- at least then she would have some autonomy in her life)
Emet Selch can't accept Elysia's mortality because in his eyes that should be Lucifer standing there- bright, immortal, shining Lucifer- but Lucifer is gone. He is mad at Lucifer so he is still mad at Elysia who has done nothing to deserve his anger. He idolized Lucifer so he desperately looks for any trace of her in Elysia. He hates confronting the fact that he might not have known his friend as well as he thought he did. He has to realize that he never knew Lucifer at all. Instead, he gets to know Elysia through Lucifer because despite her countless incarnations; Lucifer can't change. It's terrifying because he can't help but love her either. Lucifer will have Hades wrapped around her finger until the end of time. Elysia is now merely an object of Emet Selch's grief and obsession. The sun has set but Hades selfishly keeps a sliver of it's light in the palm of his hand to brave the night ahead. (Lucifer's incarnations have kept what little sanity he has intact all these years)
Elysia doesn't even know what she is anymore. Slayer of gods, murderer, a living nightmare to the Garleans- her every step has been steeped in blood, ash and ichor. She's gotten rid of her old self- of little Akari- and carved Elysia into the fabric of this world. The truth is, the singularity that is Elysia should not exist. Not with this much power, at least. What is a mortal to do with the power to topple god? Contest the divine? Be the sole salvation of entire worlds? How is this a blessing when everything is always a burden for her to carry? She follows the orders, she saves the people, she is their hope and what does she get in return? More destruction. She loses everyone around her and herself in return for the world's balance. What if... she were to die? How splendid would that be. It would be such a relief for everyone to see her for the monster she is if she becomes a Light Warden. She would be free of her role of the Warrior of Light- free to gorge herself on the audience who watches the spectacle of her suffering. (Elysia isn't a monster; just a girl forced to bear the weight of the world alone)
Anyways yeah tldr Post Heavensward - Endwalker Elysia is having the WORST time of her life.

G'Raha x WoL
I love this cat boy
Not requested
Pure fluff
Words: 1441
Slight Endwalker spoilers
○°○°○°○
The Warrior of Light hardly ever had any time to themselves. But when you did, you didn't know what to do with yourself. Laying in bed would simply make you feel antsy and you would find yourself walking back and forth in your room with thoughts swarming in your head of the now disbanded Scions and how you missed the bunch, especially a certain redhead. So instead of dwelling on that, you decided to go out and see if anyone had any troubles they needed help with.
Walking down the streets of Limsa Lominsa, many people greeted you, but no one beckoned you over in need of help—which should have been a relief. But moments of peace only last so long.
"HEY! Someone stop him! Thief!" You heard a man yell after a masked figure who was running towards your direction with a box in their arms. You stepped aside, blending in with the parting crowd before raising your leg as the person ran past, effectively tripping them.
The man caught up, gasping for air while trying to express his gratefulness for catching the thief. Some Maelstrom guards close behind arrived to apprehend the thief, and you took the box from the ground to give it back to its owner.
"Thank you again! We don't have enough people watching over the cargo while we load it on the ship, so that bloody thief seized the opportunity to take one of our boxes."
"I can help with loading the ship," you offered the older man. Anything to keep you preoccupied, even for a little while, was welcomed.
"Oh dear me. I could never even think of asking the Warrior of Light to help with such—"
"I insist," you interrupted the man.
He nodded, not wanting to make a further scene, and because he needed the help. You helped the man and the few crew members load the ship. While in light conversation with the members, you found out they were heading to Old Sharlayan. So as repayment, you asked them to let you take the trip with them. The captain, recognizing your name and reputation, accepted this proposal without hesitation.
After securing passage on the ship bound for Old Sharlayan, you assisted with the remaining tasks, grateful for the distraction. The crew, initially hesitant about accepting your help, soon warmed to your presence. Amid the bustling activity of loading and preparing the ship for its journey, you found a semblance of peace in the rhythm of work.
As the ship set sail, you leaned against the railing, watching Limsa Lominsa fade into the horizon. The gentle rocking of the vessel and the crisp sea breeze provided a much-needed respite from the constant demands placed upon you. Yet, a sense of anticipation tingled within you as you thought about G'raha Tia. It had been too long since you had seen him, and the idea of surprising him brought a smile to your face.
The journey to Old Sharlayan was smooth, with the crew's camaraderie making the time pass quickly. You often found yourself reminiscing about your adventures with the Scions, sharing stories with the sailors who were eager to hear about your exploits. Your mind frequently wandered to G'raha, wondering how he was faring in his studies and duties.
As the ship approached Old Sharlayan, your heart raced with excitement. You disembarked with the crew, helping them unload their cargo before making your way through the familiar streets. The city, with its grand architecture and scholarly air, filled you with a sense of nostalgia.
Navigating through the bustling Agora, you made your way to the Studium, where you knew G'raha would likely be. The anticipation built with each step, and finally, you spotted him in one of the quieter courtyards, engrossed in a tome. His red hair glinted in the sunlight, and a wave of affection washed over you.
"G'raha!" you called out, your voice filled with excitement.
He looked up, his eyes widening in surprise. "Y/N?! What are you doing here?"
You grinned, walking over to him. "I thought I'd surprise you. It's been too long."
G'raha stood up, a wide smile spreading across his face. "It certainly has. I can't believe you're here!" He enveloped you in a warm hug, and you felt a rush of comfort and joy in his embrace.
The two of you spent the rest of the afternoon catching up, wandering through the tranquil gardens of Old Sharlayan. G'raha shared stories of his studies and the progress he had made, while you recounted your recent adventures. The conversation flowed easily, the bond between you as strong as ever.
As evening fell, G'raha invited you to his quarters, a cozy room filled with books and mementos. You settled onto a comfortable couch, and he handed you a steaming cup of tea.
"It's so good to see you," he said, his voice soft. "I've missed you more than I can say."
"I've missed you too," you admitted, feeling a warmth spread through you. "It's been hard without the Scions. I miss everyone, but especially you."
G'raha's eyes softened, and he reached out to take your hand. "I've thought about you every day. It's been difficult, but knowing you're out there, doing what you do best, helping people, has been a comfort."
You squeezed his hand, the moment stretching between you, filled with unspoken emotions. "I'm glad I came. I needed to see you, to be with you." You confess.
He smiled, a tender expression that made your heart flutter. "I'm glad you did too."
The conversation shifted to lighter topics, and as the night grew darker, the two of you found yourselves nestled together on the couch. The comfort of his presence, the warmth of his body next to yours, eased the restlessness that had plagued you for so long.
"G'raha," you whispered, your head resting on top of his, as his was on your shoulder. "There's something I need to tell you."
He turned slightly, his gaze meeting yours. "What is it?"
Taking a deep breath, you gathered your courage. "I've realised something over these past few months. I care about you deeply, more than just a friend."
G'raha's eyes widened slightly, his grip on your hand tightening. "You mean…?"
You nodded, your heart pounding. "I love you, G'raha."
For a moment, there was only silence, the weight of your confession hanging in the air. Then, G'raha's face broke into a radiant smile. "I love you too," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "I've loved you for so long."
A sense of relief and joy washed over you, and you leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. It was soft and tentative at first, but as he responded, the kiss deepened, filled with the unspoken promises and emotions that had been building between you.
When you finally pulled away, both of you were breathless, your foreheads resting against each other. "I've wanted to tell you for so long," you murmured.
G'raha cupped your cheek, his thumb brushing gently against your skin. "And I've wanted to hear it for just as long."
The rest of the night was spent wrapped in each other's arms, talking quietly about your hopes and dreams for the future. The burdens and worries that had weighed you down seemed lighter with G'raha by your side.
As you drifted off to sleep, nestled against G'raha, you felt a sense of peace and contentment that you hadn't felt in a long time.
The next morning, you awoke to find G'raha watching you with a soft smile. "Good morning," he whispered, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
"Good morning," you replied, feeling a warmth spread through you, nuzzling into his chest further for a few more moments.
The two of you spent the day exploring Old Sharlayan, hand in hand. The city seemed brighter, the air sweeter with G'raha by your side. As you wandered through the streets, you couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected turn of events that had brought you here.
Later that evening, as you stood on a balcony overlooking the city, G'raha pulled you close. "I don't know what the future holds," he said softly. "But I do know that I want to face it with you."
You nodded, leaning into his embrace. "Me too. Whatever comes, we'll face it together."
With the stars shining brightly above and the promise of a new day ahead, you felt a renewed sense of hope and determination. The journey might be long and filled with challenges, but with G'raha by your side, you knew you could overcome anything.

I'm thinking about how clearly smitten with the WoL G'raha Tia is. Like, every time he speaks about them, he has the most fond tone to his voice and he sounds so in love it's insane!
These are only some examples, I posted more screenshots the other day with him talking about the WoL. He's talked about how he wishes he could tell them everything, even if he's trying to make it sound like he isn't talking about them. He wants to stay by their side, even when he 'knows he cannot' and that's even more tragic, more heartbreaking.
Because he tells us himself, "And if he should wish me to be a part of it, oh…how happy it would make me." There is so much yearning in his voice, he wants nothing more than to go with them. He talks about imagining traveling the lands, going across the sea with them, the sky, and he says "My heart swells simply to imagine it." He's accepted his 'fate', that he will never get to travel with them no matter how much he may wish to, that all he can do is give his life so that they may survive.
Even in the flashback with Urianger, the way he talks about the WoL makes me want to sob.
He would give his life for the WoL and he refuses to allow anyone else to do it, it has to be him. "I will suffer no other to rescue the champion whose star has charted my course" like hello??? Oh my god!!!
I'm not done with Shadowbringers yet, but god I hope the WoL gets to personally ask G'raha to travel with them, nothing would make me happier.

G'raha and Zenos Shipping
G'raha Tia and Zenos just have so many parallels to the WoL when it comes to many things.
The fact that both of them built a foundation of their identity based of the WoL. G'raha with them being his literal hero and Zenos with him being their only friend. The sacrifices they did in their name and for them. I made two posts on it!
The sheer duality they share with the WoL and it's obvious why they are two of the most popular ships in the fandom. The potential is limitless in fics. Even as a platonic ship or friendship.
It is a shame that I am a Lyse/WoL shipper and therefore the literal connection of souls and sacrifice means nothing to me in the face of a woman kicking a fish and punching garleans.

it isn't often that you end up being the one getting jealous - not that you ever try to give him reason to be, oh no, you're sure to rebuff any of your hopeful suitors with a quickness when one seems geared to make a move - but although you're thrilled that someone else is finally recognizing how strong and reliable g'raha is, you can't help but be somewhat miffed to see a young waitress at mehryde's meyhane fawning over him when you and the scions stop by on saturday for dinner while in the area. and although he won't deny that it does make him a little pleased to see you getting huffy over him, you can be sure that when you two settle in your inn room at 11pm, g'raha fully intends on showing you his devotion. (facesitting also mayb some thigh biting) (hope you had fun in japan !!)
"In the lives I've lived, never did I ever expect to experience a jealousy so precious."
While the words he chuckled out were true, G'raha knew that most of all, action was most important at this very moment.
Drinking in the sweet sound of your moans, he continued on with feasting on the succulent taste of the honey dripping out from your core. He delighted in the sensation of hips grinding down on his face, your thighs squeezing on either side of his head, a feeling he encouraged while he rested his hands upon them, happily digging his fingers into their softness.
His stiff cock throbbed and ached with need, a tantalizing temptation for you while you continued to sit upon his face. However, as he declared to you while having you straddle his head initially, he requested that you refrain from touching him until he demonstrated his loyalty to you.
And by the way his lips was spilling from your name with every orgasm he brought you to, he felt he was achieving just that.
A few more swipes along your center and a kiss to your clit just before he turned his head towards your thigh. While you heaved and caught your breath upon being led to climax yet again, he parted his mouth before he sunk his teeth right onto the skin of your leg for an affectionate bite.
You had all of him anyhow--surely you would not mind if he staked his claim on you as well, no?
Uttering out your name, the moment your eyes met his, G'raha remarked, his voice low and raspy with desire,
"I'll spend all my days prove my love and my devotion to you and only you, my beloved. I swear this to you now and forever."

FFXIV - Academic Rival AU (x reader)
Characters: Aymeric, Alphinaud, Urianger, G'raha Tia, Y'shtola
Tags: fluff, high school AU, academic rival AU, gn reader, miscommunication (g'raha's)
Warnings: since it's a high school AU, it's assumed that wol/reader is the same age as Alphinaud.
Word Count: 1336
-
Aymeric
Mr. class president
Chess club leader as well?
You, meanwhile, are the captain of various sports teams
As well as boasting a more than stellar gpa
It ends up being a competition of who will have the better college application - him, or you?
Whenever the two of you meet, it feels as though sparks are flying
The two of you will share pleasantries, but make no mistake - the tension is thick.
For every competition he wins, you make sure to win a couple more. For every academic ribbon you earn, he’s right there behind you.
Haurchefant and Thancred secretly have an ongoing bet to see when the two of you will finally get together.
And as time goes on, more and more of your friends join in on this bet
It seems that the feelings between the two of you are obvious to everyone… but you.
Every stolen glance, every blush, every rant about the other - it was maddening to have to watch two idiots clearly in love avoid their feelings over an inconsequential rivalry.
It’s only after the two of you graduate and receive acceptance letters into the same college, both with full ride scholarships, that Aymeric nervously asks you out.
“I know that we were at odds in high school… but seeing as we’re both here and our rivalry has ended in a tie…”
“Would you like to grab coffee with me?”
Congrats to Alisaie, who won $20 from everyone in your friend group.
-
Alphinaud
The two of you are fellow debate team members
…however, the two of you are constantly trying to one up each other.
Who will capture the attention of the audience?
Who will have a more airtight argument?
You were known for your iron logic. It was tough, if at all possible for others to oppose your arguments
Alphinaud was meanwhile known for capturing the hearts of his audience
Surely a formidable duo, if only the two of you could get along…
As the semester drags on, the big competition for your debate team inched nearer and nearer
With all your mock debates with Alphinaud, you felt like you had done all that you could for tomorrow’s event
But it felt like something was missing…
It was Alphinaud who approached you, wanting to go over strategies
Begrudgingly, the two of you recognized that the other could provide helpful tips
Alisaie gives her brother a knowing look as the two of you settle in with your laptops and coffee. He avoids her look with red cheeks.
He feels sick the morning of the competition. He’s so nervous!
But when he hears you say that he better not lose to anyone but you, he feels some semblance of peace, followed by determination for the day ahead of him.
To no one’s surprise, the two of you crush your competition, leaving your opponents floundering for words as you leave them behind in the dust
No, the real surprise is how loudly the two of you cheer for each other upon victory - how proud you are for Alphinaud and how proud he is of you.
-
Urianger
You’re unsure of when or how the two of you started competing to see who could read more books in the library.
Perhaps it was that the two of you saw each other there everyday
Or the fact that Moenbryda and Y’shtola seem to constantly egg the two of you on
Little did the two of you know, the roegadyn and miqote were trying to get the two of you together, as they had been trying to do for the past four years.
Maybe this will be the year…
Urianger found himself exploring sections of the library he wouldn’t usually frequent in hopes of being in your presence just a little longer.
His puppy love felt silly to him, but he couldn’t bring himself to stop, especially if you kept looking at him with that soft smile of yours
If given the chance, he’d make a whole new library for you filled with poems and flower words detailing his feelings for you.
If someone were to find one of your names in a library book’s checkout card, it was near guaranteed that the other’s name would be just under it.
Your name became synonymous with his, and vice versa
But a competition that was never meant to be one in the first place will fall apart, have its lines blurred and crossed.
Moenbryda and Y’shtola receive their answer one day when they approach your usual reading spot, only to find the two of you lounging together in one of the library’s bean bags, books long forgotten in favor of sleep wrapped in each other’s embrace.
-
G’raha Tia
Could the two of you really call it a rivalry?
As far as anyone could see, the two of you just had a string of unusual coincidences.
The exact same schedule, lunch spots near each other, both being on the Tennis team - you saw him every hour of every school day.
So then, was it coincidence that his heart eventually began beating faster when you were around?
G’raha felt like he was going to explode, constantly in your presence
So, like any healthy and sane person does, he begins to (try to) avoid you.
Unfortunately for him, it’s almost impossible to avoid someone who shares your whole schedule
Oh, and you definitely noticed what he was doing.
Had you done something to offend the miqote?
Slowly, your friendship morphed into avoiding the other, both of you running from your feelings
When I say that everyone is tired of the two of you making puppy eyes at each other when you think no one is looking
I mean EVERYONE
It’s the twins who eventually get fed up and decide to act on it, forcing the two of you to put the tennis equipment away together, just to get the two of you to talk.
The silence is deafening as the two of you awkwardly clean up
It’s when the two of you brush fingertips and he recoils like he’d been burned that you snap.
“Am I really that disgusting to you?” You question, frowning.
Upon recognition of what he’s done, G’raha scrambles for an explanation, but eventually sighs and gives in, telling you the truth, he’d always had a crush on you, and hoped it’d fade away with time.
News flash, his feelings only got worse
He sincerely apologizes, not expecting any reciprocation or forgiveness
And is shocked when you give a relieved giggle.
“I’ve always liked you too, idiot.”
-
Y’shtola
Y’shtola was going to destroy you.
Well, perhaps that’s a bit too strong.
There was an internship available for fresh graduates under a well known researcher, and both you and Y’shtola were competing for a recommendation for said internship
Anyone who witnessed the two of you would admit that it’s a bit scary to watch the two of you interact.
As they say, an immovable object met an unstoppable force.
Even your teacher is a bit intimidated by whatever’s going on between the two of you, but given that they’re receiving help from the two of you, they’ll keep quiet about the fact that they can give you both the recommendation.
Though the two of you were at odds, it didn’t stop you both from completing your work together swiftly and without complaint.
You couldn’t help but feel as though Y’shtola enjoyed riling you up - but even as you tried to resist the temptation to reply to her, you failed every time
Luckily for Y’shtola, out of everyone she could have this silly competitive streak with, it was you. Oh, how cute you look when you’re upset, lips pursed and eyebrows furrowed.
Upon the realization that both of you got the recommendation, an eerie silence entered the room.
All that competition for nothing?
How embarrassing.
And if anyone noticed the two of you walking to a coffee shop, hands entwined after this whole mess?
They’re better off not mentioning it.
