AT SOME POINT OVER THE COUNTLESS YEARS BETWEEN G'HUUN'S CREATION AND WHEN WE FIGHT HIM, IT WAS BORN OUT OF THE UNDERROT'S PESTILENCE AND LEAKED OUT OF ULDIR OVERTIME. WHEN THE HORDE ARRIVED WITH ACCESSIBLE PATHS OFF OF ZANDALAR (AND BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF G'HUUN + OTHER PROMINENT MANIFESTATIONS OF UNDERROT), THE INSTINCTUAL NEED TO KEEP FEEDING AND GROWING LED IT OFF OF THE CONTINENT. it got about 2 seconds before being noticed for being Weird because its knowledge about the mortal races is limited including how an orc is supposed to be shaped
THE ONLY REASON ITS ALLOWED TO LIVE* AND ROAM AROUND IS BECAUSE ITS WANT TO CONSUME AND DECAY THINGS IS ENTIRELY INDISCRIMINATE. Uh'kue of Zandalar, Faithful of Hireek
Important Stories:
Whispers of a Coming War: Deep in the caves near Daza'alor, Uh'kue communes with her Loa and is tasked to travel to the Isle of Dorn.
The Will of the Loa: Uh'kue meets Nelen Fullmoon, Sekhi, Laurelgosa, and Samantha Montebank amid the wreckage of Dalaran after the city was destroyed by Xal'atath.
Sweet Dreams, Darkest Nightmares: Uh'kue gets to know her new allies in Dornogal.

Abilities:
Follower of Hireek: Uh'kue follows the will of the Hireek, Loa of the Midnight Skies incarnate as a giant bat. She cannot receive aid from the Loa directly as he is still in Ardenweald, but she can speak to him by offering her blood to his children: wild bats. When she performs this ritual nearby bats will drink her blood from a ritual bowl, then speak to her in Hireek's voice.
Midnight Skies: Uh'kue invoke's Hireek's power as the Loa of the Midnight Skies, specializing in offensive magic such as Moonfire, Starfire, and the like. She leans far closer to night spells than daytime ones like Wrath and Sunfire if she can help it.
Echolocation: Uh'kue's ties to Hireek and her own druidic nature make her very bat-like in some ways. Her hearing is as uncanny as Nelen's sense of smell in his worgen form, and she can even see in total darkness via echolocation.
Children of Hireek: In times of danger, Uh'kue can let out a cry too high pitched for normal humanoids to hear (though some creatures like worgen and vulpera will react very negatively to it) and call out to any bats in the area to fly to her location and swarm her enemies. Any nearby bats will hear the call and recognize that a follower of their god is in peril and aid her however they can... but this spell only works if there are bats in the area. If she is in a location without any, it does nothing.
History:
Uh'kue was born in Nazmir, before the rise of the Cult of G'huun. She lived in a village where the people there worshipped Hireek, the cunning bat Loa, and was one of his most devoted followers.
As time went on however, the Blood Trolls became more and more powerful and Uh'kue found it dangerous to venture out from her village. It all came to a head when Hireek himself became corrupted by the dark god, forcing her to flee Nazmir for Daza'alor entirely.
She stayed there until after the hole over Northrend was repaired when, during the events on the Dragon Isles, she awoke one night to find a bat sitting on her windowsill... and speaking to her in Hireek's voice.
Hireek told her how he was slain by adventurers of the Horde, but that in his death he was cleansed of G'huun's influence. He would have to stay in the Shadowlands for a time, but he needed her and what other followers he still had to make ready. While the Alliance and Horde were focused on the Dragon Isles, something was brewing elsewhere on Azeroth. A dark being known only as The Harbinger was building her power... and they would need allies against her.
Thus, shortly before Dalaran's destruction, Uh'kue travelled southwest of Zandalar to the Isle of Dorn, where a new adventure awaited her.

They rewrote Thrall's backstory to be more racist stuff in stuff like Chronicles so now instead of Thrall being a good person because he reconnected with orcish culture and escaped his abusive human upbringing, he's only good because he was raised away from the inherently evil orcish culture, because cultural genocide is good now.
Speaking of ShadowLands, remember they had a beloved and benevolent vodou god that is worshipped to this day as a purely evil being that the players kill.
Hence my point that it got worse. Also its started to attract real world racists to Warcraft whom are attracted to the fantasy of pure and good aryan whites protecting the world from POC monsters.
This is going to be the last WoW anon I'll reply to because I just don't play the game anymore. You're welcome to message me if you want to chat about game experiences, but I can only speak as to what I remember from that time, and that's been a few years now.
I've only ever skimmed through a few WoW novels, and what I saw didn't interest me further in them. It wouldn't surprise me if the Chronicles were of similar caliber. The Chronicles were meant to resolve lore discrepancies and gaps, but they were never going to fix everything.
White Savior narratives aren't surprising in fantasy spaces. Thrall's original story was that he was raised as a slave by an orc-hating noble, a virtuous white woman was kind to him and fostered positive traits, and then Thrall committed to violence when that white woman was about to be forced to marry (i.e., get raped by) that same noble. He only found the strength to rebel and escape when his savior was in danger, and then she died, and he was recruited into the Horde, etc., etc., etc. Then Draenor was a thing, and orcs were aliens instead of dimensional invaders, and green orcs were corrupted by fel instead of being brown/red orcs, but Thrall could be good anyway with enough exposure to white people, so the corruption wasn't that bad, but red/brown orcs are good even though they were easily conquered by the Legion, and on and on... The point is, they've gone back and forth on how corrupted and redeemed Thrall is, not because of anything he's done, but because he is the test case for comparing all other orcs. He's as good as an orc can be, so unless he's Orc Jesus (and man, did they really push a Jesus narrative), it's a criticism of non-white cultures. Blizzard fucked themselves into that corner.
There has always been that undercurrent in Warcraft that orcs (including Thrall) have a natural inclination toward violence and that any peaceful orcs are rare, only achieving that through third-party intervention. That's also true in Lord of the Rings (corrupted elves), D&D (the curse of strife), and countless other fantasy worlds. It wouldn't be racist if not for very consistent efforts to code orcs as non-white cultures, whether by skin color, cultural practices, or language.
I'm not sure which loa you're referring to. Mueh'zala and Bwonsamdi didn't die in Shadowlands, and they weren't portrayed as evil so much as very suited to their positions as loa of death. Amoral rather than malevolent. Rezan was murdered, but was benevolent and noble, and the players killed (freed) its puppeted spirit. G'huun was only worshipped as a loa by the blood trolls, and I guess you could argue it was evil, but it was more of an eldritch horror (since it was an experiment to create a being like the old gods... for containment science...). I don't recall killing Hakkar permanently; only preventing a resurrection. The trouble with loa is that they rarely actually die because they live off of worship.
Edit: Woops, my brain went to Battle of Azeroth there for part of that. But I don't recall any loa being enemies to kill in Shadowlands. IIRC, Bwonsamdi made an appearance in the Winter Queen's court, and while she wasn't pleased with him, he survived the encounter. Mueh'zala was the boss in a dungeon, but he was captured rather than killed. Anyway...
I'll be honest, Blizzard's handling of the Zandalari in game was actually fairly well done because they were portrayed as a troll culture with noble values, a wide range of interests, bustling trade, meaningful religion, and respected scholars. At least, it was Blizzard's best to date for handling a troll civilization after initially introducing them as savage cannibal heathens with lots of references to Caribbean and Meso-American cultures who obstructed the expansion of the noble, blonde, blue-eyed, light-skinned elves.
Of course, that's not getting into the stuff from the novels, which I have not read in depth. It would not surprise me to find more stories of blonde, blue-eyed, light-skinned characters acting as the shining examples of Good in comparison to blood-tainted, fantasy-colored, brutish villains who would absolutely go Evil without a white character to keep them on the straight and narrow.
I mean, Madeline Roux wrote several novels for Warcraft, and look at what she did with Brevyn Oakbender and Lucien in TNEOL. If only this idiot colored man had been more like that white girl, everything would have worked out, but she died and he tried to end the world. Also, he had a thing for the white guy and white girl in the Mighty Nein, because he has a type, apparently.
People love that racist bullshit.

Battle for Azeroth's Confusing Timeline
In contrast to the minor changes in Mists of Pandaria or Legion, the timeline clarifications are a mite more complicated. Due to the nature of Battle for Azeroth's defining faction divide, the events during the expansion happened concurrently with one another, primarily in events such as the war campaign for each faction. In a book like Chronicle, however, events are told in a chronological order, and in an effort to codify a solid timeline for the expansion, some interesting implications have been made.
In Chronicle, it is firmly established that rather than the events of the Stormwind Extraction with Talanji and Zul being the inciting incident for the expansion, the events of Kul Tiras entirely take place before that story. Not only do the events of Stormsong Valley, Drustvar, and Tiragarde Sound happen first (in that order), but the capstone storyline with Jaina Proudmoore's torment and the Siege of Boralus takes place beforehand as well, culminating in her appointment as Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras.
Additionally, it is noted that the entirety of the baseline Horde war campaign also occurs before any activity on Zandalar, with Nathanos' exploits to uncover the body of Derek Proudmoore happening in this timespan, as well as the storyline in patch 8.1's Tides of Vengeance campaign also occurring with the freedom of Lady Ashvane from Tol Dagor at the hands of Rexxar and Valtrois.
As the book states, Ashvane's freedom "emboldens" Sylvanas to press her luck in finding advantages against the Alliance, which leads to her discovery of Talanji and Zul's imprisonment in the Stormwind Stockades. It is from there that they are freed and the Alliance fleet chases after them to their ruin, as seen in the Zandalar introduction cinematic. Once this occurs, we get the leveling stories of Nazmir, Vol'dun, and Zuldazar (in that order) entirely after the events of Alliance leveling, which is then followed by the death of G'huun in Uldir.
As one might guess, this presents quite a few problems for the existing timeline in Battle for Azeroth. Most notably, the fact that all of Kul Tiras now happens before Talanji's freedom from Stormwind invalidates a number of quests during the Alliance introduction. The need for a fleet to rival the Zandalari's is what first stirs Jaina to approach her former homeland and beg them for aid, despite their hatred of her at that point in time. In this new timeline, Jaina would have already been Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras, and their fleet would have instead been a problem that the Horde would be needing to solve. Additionally, it raises the question of where the Horde's war campaign was operating from, as the events at max level with Nathanos originally occurred from their base in the Port of Zuldazar.
LOOOL those chronicle retcons. No thats not fucking canon.

Finished with an Old God
2020-03-27: So after doubting myself and agonizing over wether I should post this publically or not I decided to do so. All the logs below were posted today after a friend of mine convinced me to do it. The beginning of the story is at the bottom. I’ve detailed the sculpting and painting process there.
To finish the detailing of the building and painting process I want to add a note about the dripping stuff: After painting I added the drool by using a kind of glue we Swedes call Karlssons Klister and shaped it with the help of a toothpick. The liquid that drips from the tail is made by my good friend Master Admiral. Check out his stuff at https://www.etsy.com/se-en/shop/AdmiraltyMiniatures. The fungus around the base is made from green stuff and painted similarly to the model itself.
I hereby post 5 final photos to top this of now that I have a new home and a phone with an actual decent camera. The poor quality of the previous shots are in part due to a second-hand phone and poor lighting where I was living at the time.
I also want to offer thanks to Blizzard Entertainment, Games Workshop and Green Stuff World for their products and for giving me the inspiration and tools to make dreams like this a reality. For safetys sake I added their copyright thingies below the photos.
I also want to point out that I made this solely for myself. I had, have and will not have an intention of making profit from their work.
