i feel like we don't talk abt any of the tooltip quotes very often but out of all of one this one makes me particularly curious because it implies at least an assumption that some form of 'perma-death' is potentially possible within the constant. or maybe even that something might happen to ghosts who stay ghosts for too long? whatever 'lost' is meant to imply, it can't be talking about turning into a ghost, or they wouldn't be using the word 'nearly', since you can only use telltales as a ghost.

i mean, not like wilson has ever been known for knowing much about what hes talking about. especially when it doesn't pertain to science. but its less about what actually is and isnt possible and more about what they think is potentially possible thats of real interest here

#fav interpretation of this is that #the survivors were so used to the concept of people just. respawning in a completely different area after they died #that the first time they saw someone die post new reign they just. completely FREAKED out #and didn't learn until. much later on that no they're actually all stuck together whether they like it or not #i don't know. its almost kind of haunting the way he puts it. i think abt this quote a lot #'we almost lost one of our number today'... i think it's the avoidance of explicitly referring to death by name #which. also is kind of oddly haunting when you remember what they've been through #death is no stranger to any of them so why would they be afraid of it #unless‚ of course‚ theres more to fear from it now when you think you might actually have something to lose... like fwendship 🥺

today I've seen both my parents independently browsing nadine dorries' wikipedia page trying to work out why she thinks she's owed a peerage

my garden is INSANE this year. I mulched with chopped lotus roots and rank fish pond gunk before I planted in spring and it worked almost too well. I am up to my TITS in tomatoes, I’ve got more peas and beans than I can keep up with, broccoli for the first time ever, squash pumpkin cucumber all flowering at once, huge happy corn, peppers, everything. And that’s not even touching the herbs and the house plant propagation station that takes up a whole family sized table. I could start and feed a cultish commune in my backyard EASY

#the best part is that my family in friends all helped me put it together :)#so it’s like a living testament to good relations and love in my life #the power of fwendship
