Cities require unique cultural institutions to be vibrant and engaging. I’m visiting the Lloyd Library and Museum, research library and exhibit space devoted to plant-based science, medicine, and history in Downtown Cincinnati. It’s inspiring to see artists Katie Parker and Guy Davis source the library’s collection for Leaves of Plates, a mixed-media installation made of ceramics, cut paper, and textiles. Beautiful. #FutureRetrieval #LloydLibrary @lloydlibrary @uc_daap (at Lloyd Library and Museum) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2P3Er9BLqR/?igshid=gxp0sgsz9j63

Katie Parker and Guy Michael Davis incorporate an interdisciplinary approach to their work by striving to make influential historic objects relevant to today. Look at this expressive cut paper detail of their installation for Fuller Craft in “Future Retrieval: Permanent Spectacle.” Come see it in real life. #FutureRetrieval #fullerCRAFT http://fullercraft.org/event/future-retrieval-permanent-spectacle/#PermanentSpectacle
