I am so thankful for this staff. Their diligence, their respect for my Sin’s birth plan and wishes. The professionalism and temperament exhibited by this team gives me real hope for a future where the mysteries of birthing are more known and women are empowered by this knowledge to guide their experience. Trust me whatever goes down on the BIG day goes down, but to have a knowledgeable and open staff meant everything to this experience for myself and my growing family. 100% would recommend, not just for water birth but for at home style free birth where options are available and attention and care are paramount but you don’t feel like a looming doom of a negative figure telling you in your moment of greatest anguish because you want your dearest love to feel the relief of releasing the product of your union to the world. Many places scare you with what can go wrong and jump to the knife. Cut it out with the C-section… we have to cease the C section unless for emergencies and even a breach birth is not necessarily an emergency. Knowledge is key to autonomy and I may see doula training in my future legit. After this experience I’m excited to be involved in future births. IT’S GONNA BE MAE!!!!! Yo, April was rough! Mentally, physically, emotionally—I was feeling it. While I am here to project positivity bc that’s my strength (no lie, I did Strength Finder 2.0 lol), the reality is April was a significantly confrontational month. I was not well, I did not feel like myself at times, and negative situations I had to handle exhausted me beyond belief!!!! 😩🤪😞 In April, I came to understand that I can handle my shit more than I realize!!! I understood first hand how paralyzing fear can be, how exhausting over-extending myself can be, and how much of myself I pour into everything I do. I pride myself in that, it’s my style, but yo - mental health is a real thing! I needed to pause and take care of myself; I learned to say hell nah; I had to have tough conversations; I had to let go and let God and I had to make sacrifices; I had to cry (a lot) and really see myself, I learned to speak up more and push myself to trust who I am. I basically shed some old skin, dead weight (although still chubbs 😂 hahaha); and I re-centered myself. My crystals put in some work, lol!!! Whether you fucks with me or not (or still reading); either way it’s GONNA BE MAE!!!!!! 🤭😱🤭 Bish what, I’m a MEME!!! Well, Justin Timberlake is but this month is not about motivational Mae like in years past bc I’m more motivational at the core than DJ Khaled (lezz be real), but this month it’s all about MINDFULNESS.
