How big is your termite person? Human-sized? Bug-sized? something else? Do you also have ant people? It's exciting to see drawings of bug people from one of the eusocial species! So cool!
It's a bit complex!
In Tale of Bugs there are no humans but the bugs use the same unit of measurement as humans (meters on my side) and I'm trying to respect the scale between the individuals!
In this case, Zilo, who's a Nasutitermes Corniger, is 30 cm tall (~11'81 inches): she's considered very small even among small buggies like aphids!
And yes, there're ant people too! They have their own language and don't go along with any other bugs (except aphids and sometimes bees).
Eusocial species in Tale Of Bugs usually live on their own, far away from any other insect populations, especially ants. That's the same for the termites but they're still curious and social with other termite colonies.
Bee hives are the biggest exception from any other eusocial species thanks to their work and behaviour: they are very popular among bug people, so they're very welcomed in society. They’re also the only eusocial bugs where each individuals have their own name and not a serial number.
Thanks for your questions and appreciation!

I would think that there would be an evolutionary pressure for queens of both populations to "cheat" and just create more queens and workers and skip the drones. I wonder whether they've figured out some kind of enforcement mechanism to ensure all queens contribute a fair share of drones. Some kind of drone-trading system?
This is absolutely wild.
Two populations of ants (Cataglyphis hispanica) in the deserts of Spain, the same species but separate genetic lineages. All workers are hybrids of both populations but in both cases, through social hybridogenesis the reproductive queens and males are only of one lineage or the other.
Queens of both species must mate out to produce workers (hybrids) but the workers never in turn reproduce.
They show it's been like this for a long long time!

Thank you for adding an image description :D
Introduction:
Hello, my name is Bulu! I'm an Atta cephalotes, Aka, a leafcutter ant!
I prefer she/her pronouns but I'm okay with any.
This is kinda a roleplay account i guess?
I just REALLY like bugs and I think leafcutter ants are cool
I'll post information and facts that i find about leafcutter ants
I'm kinda new to tumblr and this is my first blog (other than my reblog blog)
[I'm a minor so please don't say anything nsfw in the asks please]
I'm an artist (I drew the pfp and the header)
You can roleplay with me! Just send me asks using the "🐜🌿" emoji at the end of your text. You can also be another bug (or a non-leafcutter ant) just use a different emoji instead
Here's a few blogs i think you should check out:
@the--ant-colony (i found them after i made this blog! It's another ant rp blog :D)
@futurebird (they post stuff about ants and i think that they are cool)
@humblegrub (they post bug stuff!)
@onenicebugperday (they also post bug stuff, they post nice bugs each day :] )
@beetlebeetlebeetle (they reblog bugs)
@i-give-worms (they give worms)
@mothmonarch (they make nice art of bugs)
@bug-maniac (they think wasps are neat and they reblog bug stuff)
@foxthebeekeeper (BEES)
Tags I usually use:
#ants #leafcutter ant #ant queen #the leafcutter ant queen
I think you should listen to the song "boys will be bugs" by cave town.
I cry when bugs are hurt
I think that's all you need to know about me and my blog! I'm very excited to see how this goes :)

REVIEW: Futurebirds “Easy Company”
REVIEW: Futurebirds “Easy Company” @futurebirds @americana_andy @waxa_katie #listenbetter @americanahighways #americanamusic #americanahighways #musicreviews @bradleywcook @paulvoran @dbtph
Futurebirds – Easy Company Assigning a value to how much a producer elevates a band’s work is not nearly an exact science, but the fact that Brad Cook has helmed two of this year’s best records (Hurray for the Riff Raff’s The Past Is Still Alive and Waxahatchee’s Tigers Blood) shows how a true artist in the studio can turn great songs into gold. Georgia band Futurebirds enlisted Cook to produce…
