👑Comparing Amber Beginning to Finale👑
Amber's character arc in Sofia the First is one of the most compelling transformations in the series. Comparing Amber in the pilot episode, "Just One of the Princes," to Amber in the series finale, "Forever Royal," reveals how far she has come as a person, a sister, and a princess. Her journey is a testament to the show's themes of growth, empathy, and the importance of family.
Amber in the Pilot: The Spoiled Princess
When we first meet Amber, she embodies many of the stereotypical traits associated with a spoiled princess. She is self-centered, vain, and dismissive of others who do not fit her idea of "royalty." Her behavior toward Sofia is particularly telling. In the pilot episode, Amber feels threatened by Sofia's sudden inclusion into their royal family. Having been the center of attention her entire life, Amber struggles with jealousy and a fear of losing her status as the kingdom's beloved princess.
Some key traits of Amber in the pilot include:
Entitlement: Amber expects everything to go her way simply because she is royalty. She often uses her position to boss others around or manipulate situations to her advantage.
Superficiality: She values appearances and popularity above all else. For example, she cares more about being admired at royal events than about forming genuine connections with others.
Jealousy: Amber's initial interactions with Sofia are tinged with insecurity. She sees Sofia as an outsider who might overshadow her.
Lack of Empathy: Amber struggles to understand or care about others' feelings, especially Sofia's. This is evident when she sabotages Sofia's attempts to fit in at Royal Prep.
In these early episodes, Amber serves as an antagonist of sorts—not a villain, but certainly an obstacle for Sofia as she tries to navigate her new life as a princess. However, even in these moments, there are hints that Amber's behavior stems more from insecurity than malice. Deep down, she fears being unloved or replaced.
Amber in the Finale: The Compassionate Sister
By the time we reach the series finale, "Forever Royal," Amber has undergone a profound transformation. She is no longer defined by her insecurities or selfishness but by her loyalty to her family and her willingness to put others before herself. Her relationship with Sofia is now one of mutual respect and love—they are true sisters in every sense of the word.
Some key traits of Amber in the finale include:
Empathy: Amber has learned to consider others' feelings and perspectives. She genuinely cares about Sofia's happiness and success, often supporting her instead of competing with her.
Bravery: In "Forever Royal," Amber proves that she is not just a pampered princess but someone who can rise to the occasion when it matters most. She helps defend Enchancia against Vor's threat and shows courage in standing by Sofia.
Selflessness: Perhaps the most striking change in Amber is her ability to put others' needs above her own. She no longer seeks attention or validation but instead focuses on doing what is right for her family and kingdom.
Maturity: By the finale, Amber has grown into a poised and responsible young woman who understands what it means to be a princess—not just wearing a crown but embodying kindness, wisdom, and leadership.
One particularly touching moment in "Forever Royal" is when Amber expresses pride in Sofia for becoming the Protector of the Ever Realm. This moment underscores how far their relationship has come—from rivalry to genuine sisterly love.
Key Moments That Shaped Amber's Growth
Amber's transformation did not happen overnight; it was built gradually over the course of the series through key moments and lessons:
"The Big Sleepover" (Season 1): When Amber invites Sofia's village friends to a royal sleepover, she initially looks down on them but eventually learns to appreciate their differences. This episode plants the seeds for her growth.
"Princess Butterfly" (Season 2): Amber learns that being popular isn't as important as being true to herself. This marks an early step toward maturity.
"The Curse of Princess Ivy" (Season 3): After accidentally summoning Princess Ivy and endangering Enchancia, Amber takes responsibility for her actions and works with Sofia to fix her mistake. This episode highlights her growing sense of accountability.
"A Royal Wedding" (Season 4): As maid of honor at Aunt Tilly’s wedding, Amber demonstrates leadership and grace under pressure—qualities that foreshadow her eventual maturity.
"Forever Royal" (Series Finale): In this climactic episode, Amber stands alongside Sofia during Vor’s attack on Enchancia, showing courage and loyalty.
Themes Reflected in Amber’s Arc
Amber’s journey reflects several key themes central to Sofia the First:
Redemption: Amber starts as someone who prioritizes herself above all else but learns that true happiness comes from helping others.
Family Bonds: Her relationship with Sofia evolves from rivalry to deep sisterly love, showing how family can inspire personal growth.
Empathy and Understanding: As Amber matures, she becomes more aware of others’ feelings and learns to value people for who they are rather than their status or appearance.
Amber’s Legacy: A Fully Realized Character
By comparing Amber in the pilot to Amber in the finale, it’s clear that she has grown from a one-dimensional "mean girl" into a fully realized character with depth and complexity. Her flaws make her relatable, while her growth makes her inspiring.
Amber’s development also enriches Sofia the First as a series by showing that even those who start off selfish or insecure can change for the better with time, effort, and love. Her transformation reminds viewers—both children and adults—that it’s never too late to become a better version of yourself.
In short, while Pilot Amber may have been "Princess Perfect" on the outside but flawed within, Finale Amber shines as someone truly worthy of wearing a crown—not because she was born into royalty but because she has earned it through kindness, bravery, and growth.

💚Teenage Amber💚
On the left is some hairstyle searches
AU itself
Amber, like Sofia, is a very hard student. As a future queen, she's aware of her responsibility for the knowledge she acquires.
Amber manages her workload well and organizes her daily routine.
She likes to combine business with pleasure and apply organizational skills to her studies.
Amber strives to be on top in everything. Perhaps even too much.
For Amber, face is as important as knowledge and skills. To be a worthy queen, she must be perfect in everything, even in appearance.
Lately she has noticed that she can’t fit into dresses, she often sweats, and her hair becomes greasy.
This worries Amber, but she doesn’t give up and skillfully hides it all, and also finds information on how to fix such things (for example, a recipe for a magic potion that makes hair silky).
The fact is that this helps only temporarily, and sometimes it's completely pointless. And the flaws in appearance are getting worse and harder to hide.
Amber begins to think that the problem is with her and that she's simply no longer beautiful.
At some point it reached a critical point. During an etiquette lesson where she was supposed to faint, she actually fainted because she began to malnourish.
Sofia noticed that something was wrong with her sister, and they talked about it. Sofia believes that Amber is the most beautiful and kind princess among everyone she knows, and there is no better queen for Enchancia.
But Amber doesn't think that's enough. She's preparing to become the "face" of her kingdom. How will she show the world all the beauty of her homeland if she herself doesn't live up to it?
This question will be answered by the current "face" of Enchancia - Queen Miranda.
She will tell her daughter about the changes that every girl goes through, and will show Amber her hands, roughened by years of manual labor. Unlike natural maturation, their rudeness doesn't transform over time.
But does that make them ugly? Amber believes that her mother's hands are the most beautiful and perfect. And Miranda will hug her with them and say that Amber herself is also beautiful.
But what if the shortcomings never go away and some of them remain? Well, they will be flaws only as long as she considers them as such. Because Amber is actually the only one who sees them.
Roland will show his daughter his scars, which he received as a child due to too dangerous pranks.
Roland will also show porters of previous monarchs, where some of their external features are visible. They are all different, but they have one thing in common - they all took care of their health.
Roland thinks that Enchancia needs a healthy monarch who will reign as long as possible. And most importantly, the family needs a healthy and happy Amber, so it hurts them to see how she doesn't feel sorry for herself.
Appearance info
Hairstyle:
Amber's hairstyle in the original is a good reference to her status. Personally, because of such curls, I have a strong association with the aristocracy, so I wanted to preserve them.
However, I don't like the performance in the series at all (the one on the left), so I played with the shape of the hairstyle until I reached the final one.
I really like the execution of a similar hairstyle on the right, it’s a shame that the curls ended up looking like sausages -_-
Inspired by various art from vintage manga, I decided on a hairstyle. The structure of the hair is very similar to Aurora’s hair and, as planned, her strands also move easily and naturally.

Cloth:

So I've noticed you've found some very clever and downright brilliant ways to weave Sofia the First and its lore into your Disneyverse, which makes me wonder if you have any headcanons about what Sofia and the other child characters from the show might be like as teens and adult.
Thanks!! I'm glad you're enjoying them :) I'll admit I don't currently have any real story ideas for them apart from Sofia continuing her roles as the Storykeeper and as a Protector. But here's some designs for the Enchancia siblings as adults!
And adult Storykeeper Sofia
Actually, though I don't have any headcanons about Sofia's future I have had one about Enchancia's past for a while now. Basically I've decided in my DisneyVerse it was the home of the girl from the "Girl Without Hands" fairytale, who found sanctuary in the magic tree that would become the Secret Library, and her son, inspired by all she had to overcome, dedicates his life to ensuring as many happy endings as he can for others and becomes the first Storykeeper.
For those who don't know, The Girl Without Hands is a fairytale where a man sort of accidentally trades his daughter to the devil (in this it would be the demon Voland, a main background villain in my DisneyVerse). But since she's pure the devil can't take her, but through a series of unfortunate events due to him she ends up losing her hands :s (they'd probably be magiced off or something in this, but then again Disney has gone dark before, but either way no gruesomeness would be shown on screen).
The girl wanders for a while but comes under the care of an angel who helps her (a Windwalker in this version since they're the Everrealm version pretty much) and eventually causes her to meet a kind young king who falls love with her and makes hers her a pair of silver artificial hands.
They're happy for a few years until the King is called away to war and the Queen has her first child. At which point the devil comes back and makes trouble again thar causes them to be separated for several years, the queen forced to flee with her child far from the kingdom to save their lives. They end up under the care of the angel again, (lead by the Windwalker to the magical tree) and yeats later are reunited with the King who never stopped hoping they were still alive. And they live happily ever after.
(Added things in my version--the girl, named Manon, has her hair turn white after escaping Voland due to the trauma she's endured, and years later her son Sorrow (his actualname in the fairytale) ends up trapping Voland in a magical mirror, which is in fact the Magic Mirror that ends up in the Evil Queen's hands centuries later)

Merlin’s Mushrooms!
For nearly a decade Sofia had served as an ambassador to many of Enchancia's neighboring countries as well as their allies across the sea but after she became pregnant her duties were relegated to handling written correspondence. James stepped in and took over for his sister, traveling abroad when necessary to ensure relations between their kingdom and others remained peaceful and intact. It was boring work but he was happy to do it if it meant Sofia could rest and prepare for the birth of her first child; a baby that was hard fought for after years of difficulty conceiving.
But just a month before Sofia's due date an urgent letter arrived. There was a growing threat of conflict between the kingdoms of Khaldoun and Rudestan and if a treaty could not be brokered, all out war might erupt.
It was a dire circumstance that required more finesse and diplomacy than James could provide. Amber was all too eager to volunteer herself, eager to prove what she could accomplish as the future Enchancian Queen.
It was a risk Roland was initially unwilling to take. Both Sofia and James were quite capable of handling themselves in dangerous situations, at least in the king's eyes. Amber was different and Roland was concerned about his eldest daughter making the trip into an already unstable situation where the threat of violence on both sides could put her at real risk.
He agreed to let her intervene on one condition and one condition alone; she take Cedric with her to keep her safe with his magical prowess.
Cedric himself was furious with the idea. He and Sofia were expecting their first child in only a month's time and he knew just how long these political ordeals could draw themselves out. He didn't want to miss the birth of the baby he and his wife had tried so desperately, so long for.
Sofia put his mind at ease, however. She assured him that Amber was a strong negotiator and that if anyone could quell the rising tensions between Khaldoun and Rudestan, the future queen would do it and she would do it in record time.
With his wife's confidence in her sister, Cedric begrudgingly went along with the eldest princess to tackle the international issue between the two Enchancian allies. To her eternal credit, Amber was amazingly adept at bringing about a resolution to the issues between the kingdoms in a swift and cordial manner. In fact, to the royal sorcerer it felt as though they had spent more time traveling to the region than they had at the parley.
He was all too happy to be returning home with more than three weeks to spare before the expected birth of his child. Upon arrival he headed straight for the room he shared with his wife, eager to surprise her with his speedy return.
He was instead greeted with the soft sounds of cooing before his hand even met with the door. His heart dropped into his gut. It couldn't be, could it? Had he really missed the birth of his babe? He gripped the handle and pushed his way in to the dimly lit room to find his fear had been realized. Sofia was in their bed with their child in her arms looking absolutely radiant though clearly exhausted.
“Oh Sofia, if I had known...” Was all he could bring himself to say as he took in the beautiful sight before him.
“It's alright. We couldn't have known.” Sofia said with a tired smile. “The midwife said these early arrivals are actually common in multiple births and-”
“M-multiple births?” Cedric croaked in surprise. “Y-you mean like twins?”
Sofia laughed and tilted her head in the direction of the bassinet at their bedside. “Well yes, like twins. But it's really more like... triplets.”
“T-t-triplets!?” Cedric managed before his legs gave out beneath him. “Merlin's mushrooms!”

Request by @historianofenchancia
Fandom: Sofia the First Ship: Sofia x Hugo Rating: All Audiences Category: Fluff Word Count: 868 Words Request: “*Alternative season four. No Mystic Isles. No protector Sofia.* As a princess, Sofia knew how to act, behave, be Amber’s future advisor, and cast spells as an apprentice in training. But at eleven, she wished she knew true love, how to kiss, and most importantly how to stop blushing around Hugo. Even if it’s just her as a magically transformed mermaid by her amulet and him in swim trunks.”
"Sofia, I think you should go home."
"Why?"
"It looks like you have a fever."
It was late in the afternoon on a Friday after school. Sofia and Hugo were swimming together, something that had become a favourite pass-time of the two recently, after Sofia had shown her best friend the secrets of her Amulet, such as the ability to become a mermaid at will. It fascinated Hugo, that such an object existed. He had first learnt about magical objects in one of his classes at Royal Prep, even Sofia's amulet, but he never really believed in such things, not until he had seen it for himself, of course.
Swimming together had by now become routine for the pair of friends, as Hugo became more and more intrigued by the amulet's powers, and the two had quite a lot of fun, up until Sofia started feeling strange a few days prior. She thought maybe it was because she was using the amulet too much; she had never used it daily before, only every few days or once a week at most. But it was now when Hugo suggested Sofia should go home when she realised that perhaps it had nothing to do with the amulet.
"I don't think I have a fever," Sofia said thoughtfully, swimming to the edge of the lake before transforming back into her human form, "But I guess I'll go home in case. I'll see you tomorrow, Hugo!"
She knew she didn’t have a fever. She knew she was blushing, which would explain the strange feelings she had been having. She was embarrassed to hang around any longer because she knew to blush usually meant love, at least that's what she thought anyway. Jade always blushed when she was near James and she said that she loves him, and Sofia's mother always blushed when she received flowers from her father and they loved each other enough to marry, so it had to have meant something.
"Sofia! You spilt tea everywhere!" Amber complained. It was the following morning, and Sofia was having her weekly lesson about being Royal Advisor, a job she would partake in once Amber was to be coronated Queen of Enchancia.
"I'm sorry," Sofia apologised, quickly grabbing a cloth and wiping up the rose tea she had spilt over the table.
"There's something bothering you, isn't there?"
"What? No there isn't. Why, why would you say that?"
Amber was right though. There was something bothering Sofia. Ever since the day before when Hugo saw her blushing, she couldn’t stop thinking about what she was supposed to do now.
"Amber, how would you know if you loved someone?" Sofia asked suddenly.
"Oh," Amber smiled, "I see why you're distracted. You're in love with someone."
"No, I'm not," Sofia denied, "Well, I don’t think I am."
"You should ask James, he'd know more than I do, considering I haven't fallen in love yet," Amber suggested, taking the stained cloth from Sofia, "I'll take this for you."
"Thank you," Sofia thanked before rushing off to find her brother, even though it had occurred to her on the way that James probably wouldn’t know anything either.
~
"Smiling."
"That's your answer? Smiling?"
"Yeah, well, whenever I see Jade blushing at me it makes me smile because it means she feels the same way."
"Huh, weird."
"Probably. You should go ask Dad. He might know something."
~
"I couldn’t speak."
"This is confusing," Sofia observed after her father answered the question that had been on her mind for hours. She had received two different answers for the same question, neither of which were similar in any way whatsoever.
"Maybe speak to your mother. She'll be able to help you."
Sofia sighed as she left her father's study. How could one simple question have so many different answers? Like her father had said though, her mother should be able to help. After all, she always had the answer to any question Sofia had.
"There's never one answer as to how someone realises they've fallen in love. There's never one answer to how people feel anything for that matter."
"But, then, what do I do?"
"Well, you two could just do something else together like walking or racing and see if that helps. Or, if you feel like you're ready, you could tell him how you feel."
That afternoon, when Sofia met Hugo once again, she was feeling much more confident than the day before. She had thought about her mother's answer to her question, thinking about what she should do next and, ultimately, she decided to leave her feelings out of it for now, until she was to see a sign that Hugo feels the same way. So, instead of swimming, they went for a walk; they began a new afternoon tradition. In the end, it helped Sofia and her troublesome emotions but, every now and then, Hugo would still ask if she had a fever and instead of going home, Sofia would tell him the truth; that she did not have a fever, and hoped that one day, he might catch on to the truth about why she sometimes became red in the face around him and only him.

[ W I P I N T R O : The Princess of Light ]
Series: Darkness & Light
Position in Series: The prequel, so before Book 1
Genre: YA High & Dark Fantasy
Status: First Draft
POV: 3rd Person Limited
Started: August 5th, 2019
S Y N O P S I S :
When a god shows up at your doorstep and asks to join you for brunch, who would you be to say no?
The monarchs of Enchancia, King Lucian and Queen Ella, are ecstatic as they await the delivery of their twin princesses, who are due in a month. All is well and perfect until the Oracle, a man revered as a god across several generations of their kingdom's history and someone whom they've even prayed to, appears at the doors of the castle and asks for their company. Amongst scrumptious snacks and the elaborate, perfect layout of their dining lounge, he reveals the state of the universe and how an evil is brewing as the Queen of the Underworld seeks out a Host for the resurrection of Odin, a god who'd met his demise centuries ago and who was considered the Oracle's evil counterpart. He asks that they allow him to bless one of their unborn children with the power to defy this evil, to which they eagerly agree.
The twins are born in due time and Princess Snowella is made the Princess of Light---humanity's only hope in defying the growing evil. However, with her position and the power she's been bestowed thanks to the Oracle comes an even greater threat: her. The Oracle neglects to inform them that her role as the Princess of Light can turn dark at any moment, and when the capital starts getting attacked soon after her birth, King Lucian and Queen Ella wonder if it's all a coicidence, or if betrayal within the castle walls and the unknown extent of her new power could pose a threat to society. She'd been blessed by their god, after all, so what could go wrong?
These ingredients are needed for eternal peace, or total chaos: the Elemental Stones, the Stone of Light, and the perfect Host to activate them.
M A I N C H A R A C T E R S :
King Lucian [of Enchancia]: A man with unequivocal love for his wife and the kingdom over which he reigns. He would do anything---even make a deal with a god and put his infant child at risk---to keep everyone safe. He holds great regard for the warriors of his kingdom and trusts them with all that they do. He is a man of his word and his faith, believing wholeheartedly in the Oracle's plan and trusting in the vision he has of the future.
Queen Ella [of Enchancia]: The proud queen of Enchancia, bride of Lucian, and mother of twin princesses Elizabeth and Snowella. She is very kind and compassionate, and places all her faith in the plan the Oracle presents them with. Post-delivery, she is very stressed, but is confident Snowella's status as the Princess of Light will secure humanity's fate and keep them safe from evil, just as the Oracle promised.
The Oracle, aka The Epitome of Light: A very powerful, otherwordly man whom is considered a god across the universe. He is one of the universe's most powerful beings and would have remained immortal had he not broken a grave rule. He presents himself to the monarchy of Enchancia with a plan to save the future of all human life, but within that plan is a twisted secret that could, in fact, bring about humanity's destruction.
Demonica, the Queen of the Underworld and the Keeper of Souls: A powerful, wise, and demonic woman whose been wandering the universe for years in search for the ingredients to revive the Epitome of Darkness. She's long since lost her sense of humanity and will do anything to see to it that her dreams, as well as those of her savior's, come to fruition. And with the help from an anonymous tip lurking within the Enchancian castle, a kingdom that opposes her own, she just might get what she wants.

Juan Ramon and Ramon Family headcanons
Juan Vicente Ramon was the sole heir of the Ramon family line that had been ruling Córdoba for centuries. Though the line had been fraught with family infighting and rivalries, by the time Juan was born it had petered out to a general rule of firstborn gets to be king or queen, no exceptions. But in order to be careful, Juan’s parents, Valero and Soledad only tried for one child and never wished to give him siblings.
Being the sole heir, Juan was trained from a very young age to focus on his duties as prince and eventually king. It was a bit of a Victorian upbringing where Juan was taught to repress any “excessive” emotion like panic or anger in order to appear as a perfectly placid royal and being forced to memorize countless protacles, etiquette rules, cities, noble titles, all the works. There was a bonus that unlike Avalor, Juan also had an extensive knowledge of Córdoba’s culture including magical creatures that reside in the kingdom and the benefits/dangers they present.
Despite this rigorous schooling and high expectations, Juan still grew up to possess a natural optimism and charm towards life, always looking on the bright side of things and actually taking satisfaction in doing a job well done. However, he also suffered from emotional isolation, bearing the burden of the crown all by himself. He felt like he couldn’t confide to anyone in his fears, and stresses because then it would appear like he didn’t know what he was doing. So after classes with his tutors, Juan would often lock himself in his room, dwelling on his flaws and his insecurities for hours at a time.
Come his teen years, Juan grew a bit rebellious. Going behind his parent’s back to hang out with the sons of the horse groomers and other palace staff. They would do such “unseemly” activities like chariot races and competitions on who could pick up the most girls. Juan almost always won these competitions because no one could beat his stellar pick-up line, “Hello, I’m Prince Juan, your future King. Would you like to be my queen?”
So in case you were wondering. Yes. Alonso did get some of flirtatious personality from his father.
Unfortunately those friendships came to an end when his parents found out. His parents firmly believed in the class divide and that Juan associating with these “lower beings” would only corrupt his fine breeding. They lectured him on how he almost put the whole kingdom in danger because of his selfish need to have friends. That disappointment and forced shame was like a dagger into Juan’s psyche. He felt like a failure, this only served to further plunge Juan into emotional isolation. He resigned himself to the idea that to best serve his kingdom that he must become unfeeling and distant, then he could be neutral and objective about every duty he had to take on.
Luckily, life threw him a curveball before he could follow through on that vow. Juan couldn’t quite break that love for racing chariots and still eagerly participated in daily races, reasoning to his parents that he was boosting morale in the subjects and showing off his athletic skill. So the race he went to following his vow, he had won for the fourth time in a row. A young duchess came up to his carriage and asked what type it was and where she could buy one like it.
That duchess was Alejandra García, nicknamed Alé, a woman who was the complete opposite of everything he had been raised to be. She revealed in having fun, she participated in plays as part of a troupe that traveled around Cordoba and some of the surrounding kingdoms. She was the highlight of comedy clubs. She seemed to have no care in the world and always lived in the moment. She was wild and Juan wanted to follow wherever she led.
Being an accomplished actress, Alejandra acted like a timid, well-bred duchess in front of his parents but once they were away from the king and queen’s critical eyes, Alejandra would drag Juan all over the kingdom. Juan loved being in her presence, she made him laugh and feel bold. But more importantly, she was always there to listen when Juan was stressed. The first time he admitted that he sat out tango dances at balls because he wasn’t good at them, he expected her to scold him for his failure. Instead she simply laughed and offered to teach him. Alejandra was the one person that Juan didn’t feel judged by and that was a rare thing in his world. Bit by bit, Juan let himself feel a full range of emotion in front of her insteading of suppressing it. He cried, he laughed, yelled, everything and Alejandra was always there.
Juan was also a good influence on her too. Alejandra could be accused of being flaky and insensitive to others- never thinking about her actions having consequences. Since Juan started becoming a bigger part of her life, Alejandra soon had to learn how to work, and work hard by his side. She had been impatient and annoyed by such tedious things such as paperwork and long diplomatic speeches but she also suffered through it because she loved the bright look in Juan’s eyes when the job was successfully completed. Over time, Alejandra learned to exercise patience and restraint, knowing that the eyes of the kingdom were on her.
The two got married just as King Valero grew sick and old, so they could prepare for a new era as rulers. This new era involved them to be more part of the subject’s lives. Alejandra openly mingled in the via mercado, shopping for herself and Juan never expressed the same disdain for his servants and lower classes as his parents had done. He even hired his old comrades and began to start a new, un-interfered with, friendship. They believed in actions defining who they were and tried to uphold an image of benevolence and golden-age wisdom to their peoples.
Unfortunately with Alejandra’s death from pneumonia, Juan lost his greatest companion and Alonso lost his mother. Alonso was only 5-6 at the time and Juan was at a complete loss on how to raise a rambunctious little boy by himself. He tried not to fall into old habits of closing himself off but he did. Juan thought he could remedy the situation by remarrying but found that he could only compare the ladies to his Alé while Alonso was left to his nannies and maids.
Juan changed his tune one day when he had to take care of Alonso during the nanny’s day off. Alonso was 8 a the time and had the same similar energy and light-heartedness as his mother. The two spent the whole day together, playing in the park. Juan made him lunch and they just had fun. It made Juan realize that maybe he can parent all on his own. He may not be able to replace Alejandra as a mother, but he is still able to be supportive and playful with his son. So Juan arranged more time for just Alonso and him, but he was still away from Alonso a lot because of kingly duties. Juan didn’t want to have Alonso trained like he was and also indulged a lot of Alonso’s carefree nature because it was so much like Alejandra. Which led to Alonso becoming the reforming but still lazy and egotistical guy we know today.
Ramon Family Headcanons
Alonso’s birth was a huge occasion. All the kingdoms from Satu to Enchancia were invited for his christening, and no forgotten invitations a la Sleeping Beauty were committed. It was their first big celebration as a “whole” family and there was a rare reversal of roles. Alejandra was the one who wanted everything to be just perfect while Juan was more about enjoying the day. There were no big incidents except for the chocolate fight between the Avalora and Paraiso ambassadors, renewing the old feud over whose chocolate was better. The walls smelt like chocolate for months afterwards. Alejandra loves to retell that story to Alonso for his bedtime playing out the parts of the two ambassadors with comically exaggerated accents and fake mustaches.
Stories at bedtime were a big thing. It was mainly Alejandra’s domain because she was the “actress” of the family while Alonso and Juan were the enthralled audiences. But Juan would join in on the play-acting fun too and show off his suit of armor. For the longest time Alonso thought his father was an actual knight and not the king.
Juan has a special love and hobby-interest in chariots and their father-son time includes repairing and buying all kinds of chariots. They have quite a collection of vintage and new ones.
Going off on the chariots, the two would take Alonso in chariot rides. Only they had a argument over whose driving was worse. Alejandra loved to go as fast as she could on scenic drives while Juan was a much safer driver, but chose routes filled with so many hills and valleys that it felt like a roller coaster even if he wasn’t driving that fast.
Their favorite game to play was hide and seek in the palace which inevitably led to the couple losing their child among the many rooms. The two would panic, send out a search party and then find him sneaking food from the kitchen pantry or peeking at the royal jewels. Then while the rest of the palace staff is still in search for the missing prince, the three would sit together, eating the stolen food or letting him dress up in all the glittering jewels.
Alonso was the couple’s wake up call in the morning. In contrast to his Let-me-stay-in- bed- for-a-few-more-hours whining teen years, young Alonso was always up early, ready to get into adventures of a brand new day. Juan and alejandra would always wake up to the sound of Alonso’s little feet running to the room and launching himself on top of them, jumping up and down until they got up.
I picture Alejandra to look like Lily James

👸🏽🌼 for the eoa ask meme? :)
👸🏽- if you could write a 4th season of the show, what would you have in store for elena’s future?
Some things I would love to see in potential EoA season 4:
Carla and Victor’s lives post-Ash. How do they feel about their mother/wife being sent to the spirit world forever? Will they continue learning magic? An episode centered around Carla learning how to live normally would be nice. Also would like to see some Rafictor (Rafa x Victor).
What is life like for Elena now that she’s queen? What is it like to rule without the grand council?
More episodes featuring Sofia’s family. It would be such a waste not to use the updated character models from Coronation Day! I would like to see Elena going on a diplomatic trip to Enchancia or Sofia coming to Avalor. And also Isabel, James, Sofia, and Amber interacting.
Everyone adjusting to life after Esteban’s redemption and return.
Episode with Elena’s family working through their feelings after Coronation Day. Though season 3 ended with Elena forgiving Esteban, I still feel like the tension isn’t completely resolved. I would like an honest discussion where they address Esteban’s feelings of neglect and his reasons for joining with Shuriki in the first place. A conversation between Luisa and Esteban specifically would be nice too.
What is it like for Isabel, Mateo, Gabe, and Naomi in their new positions. Are there any new challenges that come with it?
Adding onto the last point - Esteban teaching Naomi how to be a good chancellor. Naomi definitely earned the position, but that doesn’t mean she still doesn’t have a lot to learn. Who better to teach her than the man who held the position for the past few decades? Plus also interactions between these two are pretty much guaranteed to be hilarious!
More backstory revealed: would like to know more about Raul and Lucia and Esteban’s parents.
🌼 - favorite episode?
Can’t decide on one, so it has to be one of these:
Snow Place Like Home: I liked everything about this episode - the songs, Gabe’s speech to the other soldiers, and Carla and Victor being reunited with Ash. Except Esteban putting unwrapped tamales in the oven why you big dumb. The Flores cousins are cooking disasters confirmed.
The Lightning Warrior: VICTOR AND CARLA REDEMPTION. Enough said. Also Ixlan is amazing.
King of the Carnaval: I could watch Victor and Carla’s introduction again and again, it’s tense and really shows the history between Victor and Esteban. Also, Something I Would Never Do is one of my favorite songs from the show. Esteban denying everything at the end was a very interesting path for the show to take — I expected the truth to come out, not many kids’ shows do that.

The First Queen of Enchancia: Lorelei’s Legacy and Influence
In *Sofia the First*, the enigmatic character of Queen Lorelei holds a special place in the lore of Enchancia, despite not making much of an appearance in the series. Though it is known that she tragically passed away giving birth to her twins, Amber and James, her presence is felt in the royal family's history and the traditions of Enchancia. Let’s delve deeper into what we can infer about Lorelei, her life, and how her legacy shaped the kingdom and her children.
1. Lorelei’s Early Life and Marriage to Roland
- Lorelei was born into a noble family from a neighboring kingdom, renowned for her beauty, intellect, and charm. She was a skilled diplomat, fluent in multiple languages, and an expert in courtly etiquette. Her grace and wit made her a favorite at royal gatherings, and it wasn’t long before King Roland II took notice.
- Their marriage was one of love and respect. Lorelei and Roland ruled together for several peaceful years, and their union was celebrated not only for its romantic aspects but for its strong political alliances, which kept Enchancia safe during a time of growing tensions between neighboring kingdoms.
2. A Queen Who Embraced Her Royal Duties
- As Queen, Lorelei was deeply involved in the day-to-day running of the kingdom. Her reign was characterized by a compassionate, just rule—always looking out for the welfare of the people. Lorelei’s connection with the common folk was notable; she frequently visited towns and villages, helping establish charitable foundations and advocating for the education of girls.
- One of Lorelei’s most lasting contributions was her work to create a more inclusive court where the voices of advisors, artists, and even commoners were heard. She inspired a sense of unity and respect across Enchancia, and her progressive ideas were ahead of her time.
3. The Tragic Birth of Amber and James
- Lorelei’s death during childbirth was a devastating loss for Enchancia. The kingdom mourned her deeply, and the royal family never truly recovered from the grief. Lorelei gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl, who would go on to inherit her strong-willed nature and beauty. However, Lorelei’s passing left a gaping hole in the royal family that would not be filled for many years.
- The birth of Amber and James was bittersweet. While the twins were a symbol of hope for the kingdom, they were also constant reminders of their mother’s untimely death. This left a profound emotional mark on King Roland, who struggled with his grief for years before he could open his heart to another love.
4. Lorelei’s Legacy in Amber and James
- **Amber:** Amber, as the elder twin, inherited much of her mother’s elegance and regal demeanor. From a young age, she was keenly aware of the role she was meant to play as the future queen of Enchancia. Despite her occasional vanity, Amber carries a deep sense of duty and strives to uphold the traditions her mother helped establish. Lorelei’s influence is evident in Amber’s refinement, her understanding of diplomacy, and her desire to lead with grace and fairness.
- **Amber’s Love for Tradition:** Lorelei’s love for royal traditions and the history of Enchancia is something Amber cherishes. She has always been fascinated by the royal wardrobe, etiquette, and grand ceremonies. While these interests may seem superficial to some, they are a way for Amber to feel close to her late mother and the world Lorelei represented.
- **James:** James, though he might seem carefree and mischievous, shares many qualities with his mother, though they manifest differently. Lorelei’s wisdom, kindness, and ability to see beyond appearances were passed on to James. He often shows a surprising level of empathy and intelligence when it comes to understanding the needs of others, even though it’s overshadowed by his playful nature.
- **James’ Emotional Depth:** Despite his love for adventure and fun, James often feels the weight of his mother’s absence more deeply than anyone realizes. He is highly sensitive to the emotional undercurrents around him and is deeply loyal to his family, particularly his sister Amber, whom he knows is under the same pressure to carry on their mother’s legacy.
5. Lorelei’s Impact on Enchancia’s Royal Traditions
- Lorelei’s influence on the kingdom’s traditions extends beyond the royal family. She was instrumental in introducing certain cultural practices that have lasted for generations, such as the annual Harvest Festival, which was intended to celebrate both the kingdom’s prosperity and the memory of the royal family’s bond with the people.
- She also played a key role in promoting the arts, particularly music and dance, as integral parts of court life. The music played at royal balls and important events was often composed or selected by Lorelei herself, and it has become a staple of Enchancia’s royal celebrations.
6. The Castle’s Hidden Memorial to Lorelei
- The royal castle is said to have a hidden memorial to Lorelei, a private garden near the castle walls where the queen’s portrait is displayed among flowers that were her favorites—white roses and lavender. This garden is a quiet space where Roland, Amber, and James can reflect on her life and her contributions to their kingdom. It is said that during moments of personal grief or celebration, the family members visit this space to honor Lorelei’s memory and the enduring legacy she left behind.
7. The Influence on Roland’s Relationship with Miranda
- Lorelei’s passing, while leaving a deep scar on Roland, ultimately influenced his relationship with Miranda. Roland’s ability to love again was hindered for many years, but he came to realize that while Lorelei’s memory would never fade, his heart could still find room for another love. Miranda, with her kind heart and strength, helped Roland heal from his grief and learn how to be a loving father once again.
- Even so, Miranda is aware of Lorelei’s importance to Roland and always respects the legacy of the first queen, often speaking of Lorelei with reverence in private moments with Roland. It is clear that while their love is strong, it exists alongside the love Roland once had for his first wife.
In Conclusion
Queen Lorelei’s life and legacy continue to reverberate throughout Enchancia, from the royal family’s dynamic to the kingdom’s cultural traditions. Though her time as queen was cut short, her memory lives on through Amber and James, who each carry a piece of her spirit. Lorelei’s love for her kingdom, her dedication to her people, and the grace with which she ruled set a standard for those who followed in her footsteps, making her a silent yet ever-present figure in the heart of Enchancia.

Day 6 happily ever after eleteo week
“47 years ago, Avalor was invaded,” Elena began, with an apologetic look at her husband. Mateo just smiled and shook his head. Once Elena’s mind was set on something, she never gave in. “An evil, power-hungry sorceress named Shuriki came into Avalor. She wanted the throne. With one spell, Vadhissima, from her wand, my mami and papi were gone. The royal wizard Alecazar, your papi’s grandfather, had a spell that could protect Aunt Isa, and your grandabuelos from her. But, the spell would take time to cast, so I decided to face Shuriki alone, and she tried to strike me down. But I had a magical amulet that could protect me from harm. It did-by sucking me inside. Alecazar figured it out, and set out on a quest to free me. In the end, the amulet found its way to Princess Sofia of Enchancia, and she and your papi freed me forty-one years later. The entire kingdom banded together to destroy Shuriki, and we were successful. It was our happily ever after.” She grinned wistfully at Mateo, and he grinned happily back as they took each other’s hands, leaned in, and gently pressed their lips together. It was our happily ever after. Truer words had never been spoken.
“Mami, why did you and papi name me Chloe?”
She looked at Mateo with a smile as they looked at their oldest daughter. Chloe was only 8, but she still had surpassed Esteban’s maturity. She was outspoken, impulsive, clever, and righteous, as well as a bookworm. She also had a special gift with scepters and tamboritas, and a strong distaste for purple things and amulets. A perfect combination of her two parents. She had asked this question many times, as it was common knowledge that the heir to Avalor’s throne did not like her name.
“Chloe Gwendolyn De Alva Castillo Flores. Your first name means blossoming sprout. Your middle name means fair. It is the perfect name for a future queen.” Elena said, with a small smile and a glance at her husband.
“What about me?” asked Julian. He was the middle child, 6 years old. He had a smiling face, and was one of the most adorable children Elena and Mateo had ever seen. “Why am I Julian?”
“Julian Amor De Alva Castillo Flores. Your first name means youthful. Youth is the most precious time in a person’s life. We wanted you to appreciate childhood. Your middle name means love. Love is the most precious thing in the world, and we wanted you to know it.” Mateo said kindly and softly to his son.
“Me. Ava.” the three year old girl spoke up from the corner, where she was playing with her teddy bear, Sir-Teds-a-Lot.
“Ava Zoe De Alva Castillo Flores,” her parents said in unison. “Ava means bird. Birds are beautiful, majestic creatures, and we wanted you to remember grinned wistfully at Mber that,” her father said. “Zoe means life, and life is an amazing thing,” her mother added, gazing fondly into Mateo’s eyes.
“Why is life so great?” Chloe wondered.
Mateo and Elena looked at each other, communicating with their eyes. Should we tell her about Shuriki? Elena’s seemed to say. She’s just a child. Mateo’s seemed to warn. She has to know. It’s important to know Avalor’s history if she’s going to be queen. Elena insisted. In eight years. Mateo’s eyes shot back. Elena sighed. Whatever you want, mi amor.
“47 years ago, Avalor was invaded,” Elena began, with an apologetic look at her husband. Mateo just smiled and shook his head. What I’d like to see in future Sofia the First episodes
*Of course, more Hugfia. You can’t just tease me with Lord of the Rink and then exclude Prince Hugo from Season 4. Why?? Why would you do that???
*I want to see Miranda rule as a Queen. We’ve seen her role as a mother and former commoner. But give me an episode where she makes decisions as a female ruler of Enchancia. Imagine how inspirational that could be?
*More Miss Nettle. Heck, give me an Episode of Miss Nettle and Cedrick together. Maybe have them work together. Come on, doesn’t that sound like fun?
*WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED WITH THE WISHING WELL AND KING ROLAND??? I need to know that first wish.
*What school do Prince Axel and Princess Astrid attend? Will we get to see it? Is that where our little princes and princess will graduate to? We’ve already seen Hexley Hall… I’d also like to see the Junior Knight Academy. They can’t all be little meanies. (by the way does Lucinda attend Hexley Hall?)
*I’ve mentioned before in a previous post, but I would like to see the Amulet of Avalor summon a Prince instead of a Princess.
*Whatever happened to Carol of the Arrow?
*Since the subject of “Step” family members have been touched a few times through out the series, I wouldn’t mind if either James and Amber’s mom was mentioned or Sofia’s father. Be it a happy memory that Miranda mentions or a resemblance James and Amber share with their mother.
* I want to see Princess Clio sing again.
*I love seeing new little princesses, but I would love to see further background on the original ones.
*And OMG didn’t Aunt Tilly and Sir Bartleby become an item?? THEY WERE SO CUTE TOGETHER. Where is he???
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That’s all I can think of at the top of my head. I know I’ll add more as I think of them at random moments of my day
The First Queen of Enchancia: Lorelei’s Legacy and Mystery
In *Sofia the First*, much of the focus is on Queen Miranda, Sofia’s mother, and King Roland II’s second wife. However, the series hints at a fascinating and often overlooked character: Enchancia’s first queen, Lorelei. Lorelei, the birth mother of Amber and James, may be gone by the time Sofia enters the royal family, but her influence and legacy linger throughout the show. Let’s delve into what we know about this enigmatic figure and her lasting impact on Enchancia.
1. **Lorelei’s Role and Position as Queen**
- Lorelei married Roland and became Enchancia’s queen before Miranda. Although the show doesn’t give us many details about her life as queen, it’s clear she was loved by her family. Her portrait appears alongside Roland’s in the castle, and her influence is evident in her children, especially Amber.
- There’s an air of elegance and warmth that surrounds her, suggested by the way characters refer to her, indicating she was likely a cherished and respected figure within Enchancia.
2. **The Queen’s Impact on Amber and James**
- Lorelei’s memory seems to live on through her children’s personalities and actions. Amber, in particular, reflects qualities one might imagine Lorelei possessed: sophistication, grace, and a dedication to her royal duties. This dedication could stem from Amber’s need to honor her mother’s legacy by excelling as the future queen.
- James’s fun-loving nature, tempered with a strong moral compass, might also be a reflection of the way Lorelei raised him, even if her influence is less explicitly shown in the series.
3. **The Mystery of Her Absence**
- The show never explicitly states what happened to Lorelei. Given *Sofia the First*’s lighthearted nature, it’s implied her death may have been peaceful, leaving Roland as a grieving but loving father who eventually finds love again with Miranda.
- This mystery adds a level of depth to Enchancia’s royal family, hinting at sorrow and loss that both Amber and James must carry. Amber’s character, with her fears of being left behind and her need for validation, could suggest that Lorelei’s absence has deeply affected her.
4. **Lorelei’s Possible Role in Enchancia’s Royal Customs**
- While we don’t see direct evidence of Lorelei’s influence on royal customs, it’s possible that certain traditions or ways of running the castle trace back to her time as queen. For instance, Amber’s fascination with formalities and elegance may stem from observing her mother’s reign, or the decor and style within the castle may be preserved in her memory.
5. **The Emotional Legacy for the Royal Family**
- Roland’s second marriage and his love for both Lorelei and Miranda reveal a nuanced view of love, loss, and moving on, rare for a children’s show. This gentle handling of Lorelei’s memory—without forgetting her or sidelining her for Miranda—emphasizes the show’s focus on family bonds, respect for the past, and the coexistence of old and new loves.
- For Amber, James, and even Roland, the memory of Lorelei is a reminder of Enchancia’s roots. Her unseen presence highlights the resilience of the royal family, who continue to honor her memory even as they embrace Sofia and Miranda as part of their lives.
In conclusion,
Lorelei may not appear in *Sofia the First*, but her legacy is woven throughout the series. Her influence lives on in her children, particularly Amber, and in the traditions of Enchancia’s royal family. The show gives us just enough hints to know that Lorelei was a significant figure whose memory continues to shape those she left behind. Her story is a poignant reminder of how past and present intersect, even in a magical kingdom like Enchancia.
Kingdom of Enchancia: Expanded Lore
The Origins of Enchancia
Enchancia was founded centuries ago by a group of noble families who sought to create a land where magic and harmony could thrive. Legend has it that the first ruler, Queen Elara, discovered a hidden valley blessed by ancient spirits. This valley became the heart of Enchancia, where she established her castle and invited magical beings to coexist with humans.
The Four Pillars of Enchancia
The kingdom is built upon four foundational pillars, each representing a core value that shapes its culture:
Magic: Enchancia is known for its rich magical heritage. The Mystic Isles, floating islands above the kingdom, are said to be the source of all magic. Each year, a festival is held to honor the spirits of magic, where wizards and witches showcase their talents.
Unity: Enchancia values community and cooperation. The Royal Council, composed of representatives from various regions and magical creatures, meets regularly to discuss matters affecting the kingdom.
Courage: Tales of bravery are celebrated through storytelling festivals. Heroes from Enchancia's past are honored, inspiring future generations to stand up for what is right.
Wisdom: Knowledge is revered in Enchancia. The Secret Library within the castle holds ancient texts and unfinished stories that must be completed by those who seek to learn.
Notable Characters in Enchancia
Princess Sofia
Originally a commoner, Sofia's life changed when she became a princess after her mother married King Roland II. With her Amulet of Avalor, she navigates the challenges of royal life while learning about friendship, kindness, and responsibility. Sofia has a unique ability to connect with magical creatures and often acts as a bridge between humans and magical beings.
King Roland II
A wise and fair ruler, King Roland II values diplomacy and peace. He has a deep respect for magic but believes in maintaining balance between the magical and non-magical realms.
Queen Miranda
Sofia's mother is a strong and compassionate woman who embodies the spirit of unity in Enchancia. She often advocates for the rights of magical creatures and encourages Sofia to embrace her unique gifts.
Cedric the Sorcerer
Once an ambitious sorcerer seeking power, Cedric has evolved into a loyal ally to Sofia. His journey from villainy to friendship showcases themes of redemption and personal growth. He often provides comic relief with his bumbling attempts at magic but ultimately uses his skills to protect Enchancia.
Magical Creatures of Enchancia
The Guardian Phoenix: A majestic bird that symbolizes rebirth and renewal. It resides in the Mystic Isles and is said to grant wisdom to those who seek it.
Fae Sprites: Mischievous yet helpful creatures that flit about Enchancia’s forests. They are known for their playful nature but can be fierce protectors when their home is threatened.
The Crystal Unicorn: A rare creature with healing powers that roams the enchanted meadows near Royal Prep Academy. It is believed that those who earn its trust will gain insight into their true potential.
Festivals and Traditions
The Festival of Lights: Celebrated every spring, this festival honors the spirits of magic with lanterns released into the sky, symbolizing hopes and dreams.
The Day of Unity: A day dedicated to fostering relationships between humans and magical beings through games, storytelling, and shared meals.
The Trials of Courage: An annual event where young nobles must face challenges designed to test their bravery and problem-solving skills. This event helps prepare future leaders for their roles in protecting Enchancia.
Conclusion
This expanded lore for Enchancia enriches its world by introducing new characters, traditions, and magical elements while maintaining the heartwarming themes present in Sofia the First. Through these stories, we see how courage, unity, wisdom, and magic shape not only the kingdom but also Sofia’s journey as she learns what it truly means to be a princess.
Hope you enjoyed 😉 ☺️
