Whimsicott: Cure Bloom has a Lilligant and because they're all from the " Land of Greenery" give her a pokemon that matches

Fearow, Swanna & Bombirder: Pokemon based on birds fromthe Heron family, which is where the Egret is from and also plays into her avian and wind specialty

HeartCatch Prettycure

this is like THE magical girl anime ever.

I think it's the best precure season(that I watched) it got me into the whole franchise after Futari Wa failed to get me super into it. I watched it twice so far which says a lot for me. it's just a very enjoyable watch, it's mostly wholesome but it gets a good amount dark when it needs to.

first of all the style is sharp and expressive and it's just a treat, the girls do look a bit like bugs but that's their charm!

An now the intro, can you imagine being a little kid excited to watch cute girls in skirts kick ass and then the hardest intro to ever intro comes on

also Tsubomi is my beloveddddd still my favorite leader ever, I liked how she was shy and introverted when most precure protegonists are super energetic and outgoing, she felt fresh, also she's so cutes especially with her glasses I'm so sad they got ride of her glasses so fast (also grandma :) I love grandma)

I like Erika but she was a bit overshadowed for me, she was a good addition and opposite partner to Tsubomi but the other characters were just too peak

this season also had my favorite monsters of the week/side characters. I love when the monsters are corrupted people I love when they get understanding and love to be defeated and saved.

my favorite episode was Nanami's introduction(episode 14 I think?) it was so tragic, her design was incredible her character and personality was on point to tell the story they did, and at the end instead of being forgotten by the series as soon as her episode ended, her becoming a part of the fashion club and being helped with some stuff by her friends was the most realistic good ending they could have given her and it was niceeee I'm glad she has a support group. I was just happy whenever I saw her hanging out with her friends

AND KENJI he should have been a cure, he deserved it, my boy my everything. I love gentle giant characters and I think it was nice how passionate he was, he and the girls being friends was wholesome, he's so cute.

and my favorite character of the season due to heavy bias Itsuki. she could not have been more transgender if she didn't turn to the camera and said "I'm a trans girl" she's just, augjefbksrebsgbk she's my everything my daughter my love if anything bad happened to Itsuki I'd kill everyone in this room then myself

there is a theme of girlhood/childhood in the show I like, with the fashion club as the methaphorical dream childhood and how Nanami, Itsuki and Yuri all lost their childhood to responsibility and were given a chance to just be happy and be creative and hangout with their friends in the club after denying themselves childish/girlie/happpy things because of their responsibilities. idk it kinda resonates with me I'm sure it meant a lot to kids that felt like that when it came out, this is peak healing your inner child show.

gahh I just love this show so much literally 10/10 the peak
