I almost stepped on a camcorder someone must have left in the snow, carried it with me for a while until I got back to the car. I was able to power it on with my battery pack, but it seems like water fucked up most of the tape.

Mascot Horror Video Game Idea

The Curse of Hex Land 

You play as an employee at an amusement park where you and your coworkers dress as mascots and perform for tourists. But your boss starts meddling with occult forces that cause your coworkers to become possessed by their costumes. You avoid being possessed thanks to a lucky charm. Now you have to rescue tourists, fix haywire animatronics, and face off against your coworkers in elaborate magic battles. 

Mascot Bosses: each mascot character has a defining trait that’s the opposite of their actor’s personality.

Tara Tree frog: character is cheerful, actress is serious.

Horace Hummingbird: character is impulsive, actor is an overthinker. 

Tidbit Tamorane: character is a trickster, actress is a nerd. 

Gayle Griffon: character is majestic, actor is a slacker. 

Candle Wick: character is curious, actor is apathetic. 

Mushroom Joe: character is friendly, actor is misanthropic. 

Peony Lee: character is feminine, actress is butch. 

Animatronics: 

Squiggle Dragon: Crawl on the ground picking up trash. 

Silver Maid: Performing automaton, designed to resemble a belly dancer. 

Magic carriage: Transportation for disabled guests. 

Brownies: mechanical custodians. 

Bot bases, part of a kids’ scavenger hunt game. Each base is shaped like a treasure chest. Those are where you save your game. 

Your Character: 

The player character is an unnamed employee whose persona is a ragdoll named Cornsilk. Your persona is kind and helpful like a quintessential granny, which reflects your inner need to be useful and fear of being seen as a burden. 

Locations: 

Boss fights would take place at the rollercoaster, the tilt a whirl, the hall of mirrors, the carisoal, the gift shop, and the bandshell. You level up and restore health at the food stands. Final boss fight is at the ferris wheel.  

Art Style and Aesthetic. 

I can imagine the game either 2D or 3D. The art style would be based on the work of Sheilah Becket with a touch of Dr. Seuss and jestercore.

bryan the werewolf-wolf can’t keep a job. it all goes fine until the full moon, then something changes inside him. he goes into work at the pizza place, and can’t stop himself from devouring every slice. when his colleagues try to stop him, they become the new side dish loool (hexoween 7: curse of the full moon)
