Eco-Friendly Furniture Testing: Ensuring Sustainability and Compliance
As the demand for eco-friendly furniture grows, manufacturers are increasingly focusing on creating products that are not only aesthetically pleasing and durable but also environmentally sustainable. This has led to the rise of eco-friendly furniture testing, where manufacturers ensure that their products meet sustainability standards and comply with environmental regulations. In this blog, we’ll explore how furniture testing lab play a crucial role in ensuring the sustainability and compliance of eco-friendly furniture, offering valuable insights into what makes furniture environmentally responsible.
The Importance of Eco-Friendly Furniture Testing
The furniture industry is one of the largest sectors that contribute to global waste. However, growing consumer awareness about sustainability has forced companies to adapt by adopting greener materials and manufacturing processes. Eco-friendly furniture testing is essential because it ensures that products meet various standards, including:
Environmental Regulations: To ensure that furniture products comply with local, national, and international environmental standards.
Consumer Health and Safety: By ensuring that the materials used are safe for human use and free from toxic chemicals.
Sustainability: Furniture products must be produced with minimal environmental impact, ensuring that they are made from renewable resources, can be recycled, and reduce the carbon footprint.
Market Demand: Manufacturers looking to cater to environmentally-conscious customers must demonstrate compliance with green standards.
Key Eco-Friendly Certifications for Furniture
Before delving into the tests performed in furniture testing labs, it’s crucial to understand some of the eco-friendly certifications that guarantee a product’s sustainability and compliance with international environmental standards:
FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certification: This certification ensures that wood used in furniture is sourced from sustainable forests that practice responsible land management.
GREENGUARD Certification: This standard ensures that the furniture is free from harmful chemicals and that it improves indoor air quality.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design): This is a globally recognized green building certification system that encourages the use of sustainable materials in furniture for commercial buildings.
Cradle to Cradle Certification: This is a prestigious certification that ensures a product is designed for a circular economy, meaning it can be recycled, reused, or safely biodegraded.
BIFMA Level Certification: The Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA) certifies the environmental performance of furniture for commercial use. It assesses areas such as material sourcing, waste reduction, and energy use.
Eco-Friendly Furniture Testing Processes
Furniture testing labs play a pivotal role in certifying eco-friendly furniture. Below are the common tests that are conducted to ensure furniture meets sustainability and compliance standards:
1. Toxicity and Chemical Emissions Testing
One of the most crucial aspects of eco-friendly furniture testing is ensuring that the materials used are non-toxic. Furniture often contains paints, varnishes, adhesives, and other chemicals that can release harmful substances such as formaldehyde, phthalates, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Testing labs perform:
VOC Emissions Testing: This test measures the levels of volatile organic compounds emitted by materials used in furniture, such as paints and coatings. High VOC levels can affect indoor air quality and contribute to health problems.
Formaldehyde Emissions Testing: Since formaldehyde is a known carcinogen, many countries regulate its presence in wood products, including furniture. Testing labs ensure that furniture products do not exceed the allowable limits for formaldehyde emissions.
2. Material Sourcing and Sustainability Tests
For furniture to be considered eco-friendly, the materials used must come from sustainable sources. Testing labs assess whether the materials, especially wood and other natural resources, comply with standards such as FSC certification and other environmental certifications. This includes:
Sourcing Verification: Testing labs verify whether the materials come from certified sustainable forests and whether they contribute to deforestation or habitat destruction.
Recycled Content Testing: Eco-friendly furniture often incorporates recycled materials such as metal, plastic, and wood. Labs test to verify the percentage of recycled materials used in manufacturing.
3. Durability and Performance Testing
Eco-friendly furniture should not only be sustainable but also durable. A product that needs frequent replacement can be detrimental to the environment. Testing labs perform various durability and performance tests, such as:
Strength and Stability Testing: To ensure the furniture can withstand daily wear and tear, labs test for structural integrity, including weight-bearing capacity and resistance to breakage.
Wear and Tear Testing: Furniture products are subjected to abrasion and impact tests to simulate how they will perform over time. This is important for ensuring that eco-friendly materials remain functional over a long period, minimizing the need for replacements.
4. Fire Resistance Testing
Safety is a crucial aspect of eco-friendly furniture. Testing labs check if the materials used meet the necessary fire safety standards. Many green furniture manufacturers use materials that are treated to be fire-resistant, reducing the risk of fire hazards. Tests include:
Flammability Testing: This test evaluates how quickly materials catch fire and whether they emit toxic gases when burned.
Heat and Smoke Emissions Testing: The materials used in eco-friendly furniture are tested to assess their smoke production and heat resistance to ensure they comply with global fire safety standards.
5. End-of-Life Recycling and Disposal Testing
Eco-friendly furniture should have a minimal impact on the environment at the end of its life. Testing labs assess whether the furniture can be easily recycled, disassembled, or safely disposed of. The tests include:
Recyclability Assessment: Testing labs determine how easily the materials can be separated and recycled once the furniture has reached the end of its useful life.
Biodegradability Testing: If the furniture includes biodegradable components, testing labs evaluate how quickly these materials decompose in a landfill or composting environment.
The Role of Furniture Testing Labs in Green Manufacturing
Furniture testing labs are integral to the eco-friendly furniture manufacturing process. By ensuring products meet stringent environmental standards, testing labs enable manufacturers to:
Gain Trust from Consumers: Eco-conscious customers are more likely to purchase products that have been certified and tested for sustainability. Testing provides proof that the furniture is safe, durable, and environmentally friendly.
Meet Regulatory Requirements: Different countries and regions have specific environmental regulations governing furniture products. Testing labs help manufacturers stay compliant with these regulations, ensuring that they can export their products internationally.
Minimize Environmental Impact: By choosing the right materials and adhering to eco-friendly standards, testing labs help manufacturers reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to sustainable practices within the furniture industry.
Conclusion
As the demand for eco-friendly furniture continues to rise, manufacturers must turn to furniture testing labs to ensure that their products meet global sustainability standards. From chemical emissions testing to fire resistance and material sourcing verification, testing labs ensure that furniture products are safe, durable, and environmentally responsible.
Investing in eco-friendly furniture testing not only helps manufacturers comply with regulatory requirements but also enhances their brand’s reputation and consumer trust. By ensuring that furniture products are made from sustainable materials, meet safety standards, and can be recycled or disposed of responsibly, furniture testing labs play an essential role in shaping the future of the furniture industry.

You Find Out You’re Pregnant
Content: You tell the LIs you are pregnant and receive their reactions. All fluff with a bit of angst in Caleb's that made me cry as I was writing it. I'm sorry, I had that hc about him and MC for a while now.
Rafayel
Thomas’s eyes widen in shock as you refuse his schedule for Rafayel’s next exhibition on your husband’s behalf. You are the one person he can rely on in convincing Rafayel to attend his art exhibitions, and here you are now betraying Thomas’s trust, which is completely out of character for you. You cross your arms, eyebrows raised, as you stare down Thomas in the foyer of Rafayel’s art studio/home.
“I’m sorry, Thomas,” you say. “I have an important commission for Rafayel that takes priority, and he absolutely cannot have any plans next Thursday. That is non negotiable.”
Rafayel meets Thomas’s gaze. Your husband is just as confused as he is. “Cutie, what are you talking about? You know I will do anything for you, but I don’t understand what’s going on. What is happening next Thursday?”
“MC, is something wrong?” Thomas adds. You grin. No one has any idea what you just learned that morning and the surprise you have for Rafayel, if only Thomas would leave.
“It’s something Rafayel and I must talk about in private. He’ll call you later. Go spend some time with your baby girl.” Your voice softened at the mention of his daughter. You shut the door in Thomas’s face. Bewildered, Thomas leaves.
The moment the door is shut, Rafayel gently grabs you by the shoulders. “Okay, he’s gone. Tell me what is happening, starfish. What is this commission you have planned for me?” Your eyes sparkle as you look at your lovely husband. You wrap your arms around his waist and touch your forehead against his.
“I need you to repaint the guest bedroom.”
Rafayel is speechless. “Is that it? Why do I need to repaint the guest room?”
You look up into Rafayel’s eyes, unable to stop smiling. Your hands make their way to his cheeks, ensuring that you don’t miss his reaction to your news.
“It’s going to be our nursery.”
Rafayel’s mouth twitched. “Nursery? As in for a baby?”
You nod. “Yes,” you say as tears fill your eyes. “I’m pregnant, and my appointment for the first ultrasound is next Thursday. I need you to come with me to meet our baby.”
Rafayel beams. Tears roll down his face as he kisses you deeply.
The next day, you find Rafayel with multiple paint samples in the guest room. He already has an idea of an ocean-themed mural for the wall where the baby’s crib will be and began shopping for furniture. He hasn’t stopped smiling since you told him the news. He stops his planning just to kneel before you, kissing your stomach. “I promise you, cutie, I will take care of you and our little glub glub. I can’t wait to be a parent with you.”
Zayne
The worst part about having a doctor for a husband is that you cannot hide anything from him. Any update to your electronic medical record will send a notification straight to Zayne. That is why when you suspect you are pregnant, wanting to surprise your husband with the news, your first thought is to scheme with Yvonne on how to take an official pregnancy test and not let Zayne know.
Of course, Yvonne always has your back. She lets you know when Zayne is scheduled for a particularly long surgery, so you could take the pregnancy test and get the results before he leaves the operating room. Yvonne even pulled in Greyson to officially run the test for you. When the positive results come back from the lab, Greyson and Yvonne plan to distract Zayne while you run to the bakery near the hospital to buy him a box of his favorite macarons. The bakery is kind enough to add a note in the box saying, “Congratulations, you are a father!”
When Zayne’s surgery ends, you are waiting impatiently in his office, bouncing your legs in anticipation of revealing the news. You have no doubt that Zayne will be ecstatic about becoming a father, but your hands holding the macarons still tremble. Zayne walks in, his mouth slightly curving up when he sees you waiting for him.
“Hello, love. The surgery lasted longer than expected. Were you waiting for me very long?” He kisses your cheek before heading for his desk. “I need to finish the notes for this patient.”
“Wait,” you say louder than expected. If Zayne looks at his computer, he’ll see the notification about your pregnancy test. Zayne raises his eyebrows. “I need to tell you something first. It has to come from me.”
Zayne’s eyes widen as he rushes to your side. He cups your face in his hands. “What’s wrong? Are you sick? Tell me what’s going on.”
You laugh as tears fill your eyes. “Open the box.” You hand him the macarons. Zayne takes the box and opens it, reading the note inside. His head snaps up to look at you. “It’s true. You’re going to be a father. I just found out while you were in surgery.” You hand him the official results of your test.
Zayne immediately takes the documents and reads them over. A man of science, you know that he will not officially process the information until he sees the lab results. “You’re pregnant,” he whispers. Zayne touches his forehead to yours. “We’re having a baby.” He kisses you and holds you in a warm hug.
“We need to schedule an appointment for an ultrasound,” you whisper in his ear. “Do you want to see about taking a day off soon?” Zayne immediately picks you up and begins carrying you to the front desk.
“You and the baby are my first priority. I will take as many days off as necessary to care for both of you. I love you both so much.”
Xavier
As soon as you learn the news of your pregnancy, you take off from work without telling Xavier. He is away on a mission in the No Hunt Zone and will not return until that night. You set up the apartment in anticipation for his arrival. Blankets and pillows cover the living room sofa, and hot pot is on its way from Xavier’s favorite take out place. You also sit a single bun in the oven. You grin to yourself as you take in the cozy apartment with everything ready.
Xavier returns home around the time you were expecting. You run to the door to kiss him and say, “I have a surprise for you.” Xavier smiles against your lips.
“Is that so? What have I done to receive such a warm welcome home?” You giggle as you lead your husband to the kitchen.
“I ordered hot pot.” You point to the food on the table. “But I need you to take out the food in the oven for me.”
Xavier gives you a puzzled look. “You need me to get something out of the oven? After you said numerous times before to never touch it? What are you up to?” You grin wider. “Please, Xavier!”
“Okay,” Xavier opens the oven door to find a cold bun sitting on one of the racks. “There’s just a bun sitting here. I don’t understand.”
“What do you see?” You clasp your hands behind your back and rock back and forth in excitement. Xavier frowns as he looks at you.
“A bun?”
“Where?”
“In the oven.” You nod in encouragement. “Is this a riddle? There’s a bun in the oven.” Once Xavier says the words out loud, his eyes widen. You can see them light up in acknowledgement. “There’s a bun in the oven,” he says slowly. Xavier strides over to you and places his hand on your lower abdomen. “Are you?”
“Yes, I’m pregnant. You’re a father.” Xavier immediately wraps you into a tight hug. He kisses your cheek, neck, and finally lips.
“Xavier, that tickles!” You laugh as Xavier places you on the couch and pulls you close.
“I’m just so happy,” he says. Xavier continues kissing your body all the way down to your abdomen. “This is the best news I could ever receive. I love you, starlight.”
Sylus
You pace Sylus’s study as you wait for him to return from a meeting. He had asked if you wanted to come, but you declined. It would be best if you stayed far away from his business meetings in your condition. You just found out for sure that you are carrying his child, and you decided to tell him the news as soon as he got back. Mephisto perched nearby, watching you anxiously. You cannot count the number of times you threatened the crow that day. Sylus has to hear the news from you. You would never forgive Mephisto if he spilled the secret before you had a chance to tell him.
You turn abruptly at the sound of the door opening. Sylus walks in with a streak of blood on his cheek and some on his clothes. You immediately rush to him, checking his body for wounds. “Are you hurt? Did the meeting go south that badly?
Sylus grabs your trembling hands. His large, warm hands envelop yours, putting your mind a bit at ease. “I’m perfectly fine, kitten. It would take a lot more than that mediocre crook to harm me.” He smirks as he leans closer to you. “Were you that worried about me? I’m more worried about Mephisto. He wouldn’t tell me why, but you were mean to him all day.”
Many thoughts fill your mind. You are relieved that Sylus is safe, but seeing him covered in blood causes yours to turn cold. You bury your face into his chest, suddenly becoming shy as you mumble, “I am worried. I’m worried you will get hurt and no longer be here for me and the baby.”
Sylus tenses at your words. “Baby? Kitten, look at me.” He tilts your chin up so your gaze meets his. “What do you mean?”
“You can’t afford to take any risks. I just found out I’m pregnant. You’re going to be a father.” Sylus’s eyes soften as he smiles. His love for you is evident from his gaze alone.
“You’re pregnant? That’s what you had Mephisto hiding from me?” Sylus leans down to kiss your forehead, wrapping his arms around your waist.
“I wanted to be the one to tell you.” “I promise you that you will not need to worry about anything. I will take care of you both, provide you with everything you need, and keep you safe.” You glare at Sylus before he adds, “I will also keep myself safe for you.” You kiss Sylus on the lips. “That’s all I ask.”
Sylus picks you up and carries you to the bedroom. “My kitten should not be on her feet in this condition. Get some rest. Just tell me what you need, and I’ll get it. I’m not leaving your side.”
Caleb
Caleb walks through the door of the apartment, still in his colonel uniform, to find you sitting cross-legged on the floor flipping through one of your old photo albums while crying. You sniffle as you look at one of your earliest pictures at Gran’s house. You stand with Caleb in your old kitchen holding a basket of apples. Knowing this is the oldest picture of you fills your heart with sadness. You have no idea who you were before Gran took you in. You just found out you’re pregnant and remembered that you have nothing from your early years to pass on to your baby. Not even Caleb has connections to his biological family. What will you tell your baby about your roots?
Caleb takes off his hat and rushes to your side. “What’s wrong, honey?” he asks while wrapping his arms around you. “Are you thinking about Gran?” You wipe the tears from your cheeks as you explain about the photos, not telling him about the baby just yet.
“It’s okay,” Caleb coos as he rubs circles on your back. “We’re each other’s family, and that’s all that matters. One day, we’ll have children and will always be there for them. We can give them what we didn’t have.” Caleb takes the photo album and closes it before fully embracing you. “We won’t lose each other, I promise.”
“What if that day comes sooner than expected?” “What do you mean?”
You lean back, studying Caleb’s face. “I’m pregnant, Caleb. We’re starting our family now.”
Caleb’s mouth hangs open as the shock sets in. “MC.” Caleb hugs you. He fully wraps his arms around your shoulders as if he’s afraid that you will disappear in thin air. You feel his lips against your temple. “Is it true? You’re having a baby?”
You begin crying harder, this time from happiness. “I took a test this morning. We’re having a baby.”
You and Caleb continue sitting on the floor in each other’s embrace, both of you refusing to let go. You spend some time in silence. Then, you begin sharing all your dreams and plans. “I will protect you both,” Caleb says while kissing you. “This child is going to be so loved. We’ll fill hundreds of albums with baby pictures.” You giggle at the thought of a closet full of just photos. Caleb would do it. “Most importantly,” he says, “I love you. What happened to us will never happen to our child. I promise you that.”

You walk into the facility excitedly. You had passed the screening, background check, drug test, lab work, and numerous other loops to fill the position you had applied for. You knew it was a sex-working job, but didn't have much more information than that, which you didn't mind.
You walked up to the front desk with your paperwork to greet the busty woman sitting there, her bright green eyes darting up at you from beneath her bangs. Her long black hair draped over her shoulders and the coils, along with her breasts bounced lightly as she moved. A flush of red swam across your cheeks and you tried to avert your gaze, pushing your view back up to her eyes.
"Hello!, I'm (y/n)! I'm here to see-", By the time you'd gotten past your name, she'd already found you on the list.
"Ah! (y/n), Spelled like this right?", She showed you the clipboard and smiled, pointing to your name with a pen. You nodded and returned her cheery expression.
"Yep! That's me!", She nodded and stood, you could now see her red, partially unbuttoned blouse and tight, black, knee-length skirt. As your eyes traveled down her body, they fell on her lovely bright red heels. All of these colors complemented her Olive skin delightfully, so much so that it was very difficult not to stare.
"Come on, hun. Follow me.", I wandered closely behind her and she led me into a large warehouse-type hallway, with many different doors leading into different hallways or rooms. We walked down the hallway and into a blue door on the left. She scanned her keycard and the door buzzed open.
"Once you've been here for a couple of days and decide that you'd like to continue, we will give you a keycard. Until then, I will come let you in."
The door opened into a large waiting area, The flooring was a beautiful dark wood, leading up to the furniture. All of the furniture was luxurious, the arms swirling elegantly. The couches and chairs were a red fabric with black flowers strewn across them, little whisps of swirls against the flower pattern. There was a Traditional Gold Damask on Bright Red Wallpaper lining the walls, all the way to a front desk with another woman with red hair and blue eyes looking up from her paperwork through her glasses.
"Oh! Is this the new hire? They're gorgeous!"
"Yes isn't he? I just know the clientele is going to love him. Alright, Cassandra, I'm going to take him back. Don't send in anyone too rough until his third day please."
She smiled and Cassandra nodded, "Of course Andromeda. As always."
She returned to her paperwork and the dark-haired woman led me into a room with an "Employees only" Sign.
"Alright, and If you just strip down, You'll be led to your room for the night. Oh, I almost forgot to ask, would you prefer human clients or monsters-", You'd almost forgotten monsters would be an option, but you felt your heart race at the idea. You'd never been with a monster before and the very thought put slick between your thighs.
"Monsters- please.", You said politely. She nodded and left you in the room by yourself. You looked into the body-length mirror as you undressed, hearing Cassandra's words in your head, calling you gorgeous. You were feeling super confident.
You heard a soft rap on your door, "May I come in, (y/n)?"
"Yes, I'm ready...", You bashfully covered yourself but only slightly. Andromeda smiled at you and gave you a soft look up and down.
"You look beautiful, come with me this way to your room.", You nodded and walked slowly behind her as she opened the door and led you down the red hallway, Along the wall, there were dark, red cushioned lifts that hung about 3 feet above the ground. The same wallpaper as the waiting room shines softly in the dim lighting. The woman opened a door with her keycard, another "Employees only" sign hanging from it.
As you entered, the hallway wrapped around as if to mirror the one you were just in, full of box-like rooms that were slightly elevated. She opened one of the secure doors, as you looked inside, the room was filled with that same, cushioned material, a pillow built into a table in the middle, and a red button hung next to the door.
"I'm going to open the door and you will put your rear end and your knees on the other side of the wall. It will secure your hips in place, and you will put your abdomen on this table. when your lower half is secured, this wall will open a small hole in front of you and the table will adjust you fowars slightly, or this wall will get closer to you."
You tried to keep up with what she was saying as you looked all over the room, figuring out how the mechanisms functioned so well. There must've been a lot of science, engineering, and thought put into these rooms. Andromeda scanned her card on the button pad, which helped adjust the walls and seating.
Once your hips were through the wall, and your knees were comfortable; you adjusted the closeness of the wall, and a hole opened up. The hole was right up next to your mouth and you couldn't help but daydream. Just thinking about the randomly colored cocks that would be in your face, how they might taste, and how thick they might be. More slick dripped down your thigh and you prayed no one would notice.
"Alright, are you comfortable?"
"Yes, Ma'am", She looked over her clipboard at how you addressed her as she checked off boxes, you almost wished she would play with you herself, now shamelessly staring at her chest, or at least what you could see under her clipboard.
"Would you like an aphrodisiac?", You looked at her confused and blushed.
"What- is that?", Andromeda put her clipboard to her hip and smiled,
"It's a drug, more spasifically a gass for us as a compsany, that makes you feel extra- in the mood."
She winked and chuckled. You nodded and looked down shamefully, "Yes please-"
"Alright hun, I'll be sure to set you up before we open. I'm going to ho around to the other side and make sure your legs are as open as they need to be, Ill close the wall once you're adjusted and we'll help all the other girls in. While you're waiting well hit you with the drugs okay?"
"Mhm"
You answered softly and let yourself relax, resting your arms on the rectangular table, your back arching softly as you adjusted. You were happy to find there was another armrest and a small lift button for the table. You messed with it, raising the table slightly and lowering it. You rested your arms on the wall, armrest, practicing how you would suck on the monsters that offered their cocks to you. Andromeda could be heard behind you,
"Oh, my~", she giggled softly as she examined you.
"Someone's exited huh? Alright, do you mind if I touch your legs and thighs? Make you look presentable?"
"No, I dont mind."
She hummed softly as her soft hands wrapped around your calves, pulling your legs carefully apart and gently spreading your pussy lips but making sure not to touch your aching hole. You wished she would, you imagined her acrylics gently rubbing at your insides, her fingertips rubbing your G-spot. You gasped softly when you felt her spread you, and she heard.
"Alright, you're all set up and look monster-ready", She chuckled and made her way back to the front hallway.
"Ok sweety, I'm going to close the holes around you and obviously the one in front of you will just close. The room will fill with a light gass, but it shouldn't feel suffocating. If it does, or anything hurts or goes wrong, press that red button to your left. Am I understood?"
You nodded and looked into her bright green eyes. You wanted to make her proud and prove you deserved to stay and that you could do the best at your job. Maybe you'd get a reward for doing well.
The hole closed and the wall behind you clenched tightly around your hips. This made you feel secure and the squeeze made you feel secure. A robotic voice sounded in a speaker,
"Is your waist secured too tightly?", I sat there for a moment and I answered out loud not sure what else I could do.
"No."
"Good. Prepare for Aphrodisiac.", As the voice went silent, you heard a soft hissing, and quiet music began to play. You took a few purposeful deep breaths as you let your mind wander to the various creatures that might violate you.
You hadn't realized how much time had gone by and soon the hole in front of you opened up and the hole around your hip loosened slightly. You could hear talking behind you, a deep gruff voice sounding out.
"Good- gods... Look at this one-", Another voice soon to follow.
"Damn, I wonder how good his mouth is...(y/n) huh? Cute name. I'll take the mouth first then we can swap out."
You looked down to see the drool pooled against your chin and your face flushed in embarrassment. You sat upright, trying to ready yourself for the fun.
"Ooh. You're really exited for this huh?", A harsh slap fell across your ass, causing you to moan out. The creature laughed and you felt a pointed tip against your sloppy hole.
Soon a thick, green cock was pushed through the hole in front of you, the pre-cum-covered tip pressed lightly against your cheek. The feeling of it was amazing, the drugs filling your head with so much glee. You rested your weight on your elbows and took hold of; what you were assuming was an orc's cock with both hands and rubbed the leaking, pink-tinted tip all over your face.
A soft groan could be heard from the other side of the wall and the creature began to thrust into the hole and against your face.
"Fuuck yes.. god whatever you're doing, pretty boy- keep going-", This excited you, and you happily obliged, and began to softly kiss against his soft tip. You smeared his leaking cum against your lips like salty lipgloss.
The animal behind you thrusted into your cunt roughly, causing you to pull the Orc just into your lips and moan out around him.
"Mmm!", You pushed your hips back against the man behind you.
"Very eager arent you, Sweetheart... I'm going to make you into a delightful little cum-mutt.", he growled as he began to push his hips forward into you, filling you and letting your walls stretch around him, all the way down to his inflating knot.
You were praying it was a Were-Tiger, you loved how handsome they were, their enticing colors, a Lion, or maybe a panther- the daydreams swam around in your head as you began to throat the Orc without much thought, swirling your tongue around his sensitive tip.
"Oh my god, that's so fucking good- yes- Good boy. I might become a regular if you keep this up...", this was encouragement, and you began to suck him into your throat deeper, bobbing your head faster.
You felt a set of claws sink into your hips deeply, but not breaking skin as the creature behind you pounded into you and pressed his knot as hard as he could against you. It was obvious how much he wanted to force it in.
The hole in front of you was big enough to fit the orc's balls through and you used one hand to steady his cock in your mouth, the other reaching down to fondle and squeeze them teasingly. Another soft hissing noise filled the space next to you and a little of the gas spilled out of the holes, encouraging the monsters to be more aggressive with you.
Your holes were getting violently fucked from both ends now and you could feel their lengths pulsing and throbbing against your walls and esophagus. You moaned loudly over the orc's cock, the vibrations sending him into a thrusting frenzy as he forced himself as deeply into your mouth as he could, cum filling your throat quicker than you could swallow, the warmth flooding your chest as you tried not to gag and choke.
Soon after, you felt the man behind you shove his knot into you as he came, his sharp tip pressing against your sensitive cervix. You squirted against him and pressed back against him, trying to ride out your orgasm on his knot. As your pussy clenched and grabbed at his cock, he made sure to grind with you, milking himself as much as he could. The orc pulled out of the hole in front of you and you could hear his heavy breathing as he leaned on the wall.
"Oh my- fuck that was so good.."
You moaned even louder, now that your mouth wasn't full as the man began to fuck you with his knot, popping it in and out as he continued to drain himself. He pulled out and groped your ass affectionately. You happily spaced out and arched your back, laying down and breathing for a moment. After about two minutes you felt a set of two giant fingers rub up and down your pussy and asshole.
The orc was using both you and the man's juices to lubricate both of your holes. You pushed your hips back against his fingers needily.
"Hold on sweet boy. I'll be inside of you soon.", This made you let out a soft pathetic whine, and then a thick, red, textured cock entered the hole in front of you. You immediately wrapped your mouth and hand around him excitedly, circling your tongue around his length.
A roar sounded from the other side, and he immediately began to fuck your mouth, which you were practically begging for. One of the orc's fingers slipped into your pussy, filling it even more than the other creature's cock did.
You drooled more around the man's length and rubbed him vigorously as you finally got to see the knot that filled you. You reached up with your free hand and treated him as you did the orc, massaging his knot and squeezing it tightly.
The orc pushed his fingers into you, into both stretching your holes. He eased them into you and your walls clenched hungrily around them. He chuckled and removed his finger from your pussy, keeping one in your virgin asshole. He moved his finger gently in and out and you could feel his tip against your cunt. The idea of his pretty tip against you made you clench more, just to squeeze out any of your slicks that you could. You'd spend all day sucking it if you could.
"Good boy~ Keep up like that and I'm going to cum down your delicious- feeling throat. God yes- right there-", The man in front of you cooed at you and you moaned around his tip louder as the orc entered you. You swirled your tongue aggressively around his tip and flicked your tongue over the small crease and hole.
His hips spasmed, forcing his cock into your mouth as his throbbing cock spewed warm, sticky cum into your mouth. You pushed your head forward to get the rest of him into your mouth, even trying to fit his knot into your mouth. You felt like your jaw was going to unhinge, but were almost excited to suck on it.
"Ugh- F-God!!", He milked himself into your mouth and tried to help shove himself into your hungry jaws, almost getting off to the feeling of your teeth scraping against his large knot.
The orc pushed himself into you deeply, enough to tease himself by rubbing against the hole of your cervix.
"Mmm, you're so tight-", He chuckled deeply and pulled his finger out of your ass and took your hips into his hands, gripping you securely as he began to thrust in and out.
The man in front of you pulled out of your mouth, allowing you to gasp and cough softly. You wiped your mouth and giggled dazedly, happily arching your back for the monster behind you.
It wasn't long before he couldn't help himself and began to greedily move faster. A soft tapping could be heard as his balls slapped softly against your clit, providing extra stimulation for yourself. You moaned loudly and cursed softly.
You began to grope your tits, pinching at your nipples with one hand and ducking on your fingers with the other, missing the feeling of something in your mouth. Your tongue felt lonely, but your pussy was being very well taken care of. The orc was shaped so wonderfully, his cock was slightly thicker in the middle, rubbing every single weak spot you had. You wanted to hold in your orgasm for as long as possible but were not successful, squirting against him and pushing your hips back into him to encourage your orgasm.
He happily moved his hips slower, guiding you through the rest of your orgasm. After you'd finished, he pulled out of you and pressed himself against you asshole.
"Now, I get to treat you like a real boy-", He laughed and pushed himself roughly into your ass and moved aggressively. The orc was needy for your tightness, huffing and grunting like an animal as he took you. You could feel his big hands wrapping around your whole waist as he used you like a fleshlight.
A heavy fog settled over you as you lay down against the table, happily just trying to relax your body for the other. You could hear the other creature talking to the orc behind you.
"God he looks so good when he's full, and his pussy is leaking cum.", The orc laughed as he thrusted.
"Isn't he? and his ass is so fucking tight- I can't get enough. We'll- UIgh- definitely have to come back-", The orc leaned forward and rested some of his weight against your back, you could feel the warmth and sweat on his chest. Your whines and whimpers subsided to quiet breaths of foggy salvation.
"We should request a private room with him, if he ended up a perma-hire." You could sense the other monster's eyes on you. You imagined him looking down at you like a steak and drooling against the soft fabric beneath you.
"God- I'm so close-", The orc grunted as he drove himself as hard as he could into you, groaning and laughing as he fucked you into a happy stupor. You felt a hot liquid burst into you and you screamed out, your tongue hanging out like a dog.
He panted and held himself inside of you for a moment before carefully pulling out. They both laughed softly and ran their hands and paws over your thighs and waist.
"You did so good for us pretty boy, we'll be back to see you again if we can. Maybe we'll have the pleasure of seeing your gorgeous face. It has to be as beautiful as your body."
They both gave your ass a good slap before you heard them leave. After a moment, you heard mechanisms wiring and the door around your hips was opened as well as the door in front of you. Your eyes drifted up to see the busty secretary who led you back here.
"Hiii Andromedaaa...", You slurred softly and giggled, absolutely fucked out of your mind. She smiled down at you and moved the hair out of your face.
"Did you have fun darling?", Her voice was soft and she held her clipboard up with her pen ready.
"It was very wonderful, I had so much fun.", She nodded and wrote something down.
"Mhm. Did they treat you well?", Her eyes didn't leave her paper.
"Yes, Ma'am.", She once more wrote something down and helped you out of the machine after tucking the clipboard under her arm. You smiled and wobbled slightly.
"Would you like some help? We have some really strong staff who can hold you up or carry you to your room to rest.", You nodded and looked around, trying to find something for you to steady yourself. Andromeda pulled a small walkie-talkie from her pocket and spoke into it.
"Hey, Can you send a carrier here, to hall 3-A please?", Within mere moments, a woman walked into the hall, she must've been at least 5ft 11'. You gawked at her, she was built very strongly, her breasts blending with muscle.
"Hello, I'll be your Carrior for the night. May I?", She smiled and opened her arms, taking a step closer. You nodded and replied softly. She had a soft Southern accent that made me swoon.
"Mhm- Please-", You reached out for her and did your best to stumble over to her. She picked you up carefully, bridal style. You looked up and studied her features. She had Darker skin than Andromeda's olive tint, a delightful, deep caramel color. Her hair was up in a ponytail or a messy bun, you couldn't tell very well. It looked to be a box dyed red but over her already dark hair.
She carried you to the room you had undressed in and into a side room you hadn't noticed. It was a bathroom with a luxurious bath and she gently laid you in it.
"Would you like me to turn on the water for you?", Her face tinted slightly darker as she looked you over.
"Yes please", You smiled up at her, blushing as well. She turned the water on to a nice hot temperature used a small picture and filled it with warm water, gently rinsing you off. The bath was then plugged and she pulled another pitcher off of the counter that was full of a creme-colored liquid and what looked like flower petals.
"If you dont mind my sayin' so- you look very pretty, uhm-", She gingerly poured the milk bath mixture into the water and over your body.
"(Y/N)", You added and giggled at her bashfullness.
"Got it. Well, I'm gonna let you clean up alright? Sure you can manage?", She stood, folding her arms in front of her like a bouncer at a club.
"Yes, I think I'll be alright.", You giggled more and smiled big. She nodded and opened the door to leave.
"You just uh- Let me know if you need me alright?"
"Alright.", You watched as she left and waited until hearing the second door to your room close before squealing happily, the night had gone amazingly and you'd been carried back to your room by the most attractive woman you thought you'd ever seen. You'd definitely be staying.

DOCTOR BONDAGE
Tumblr media
Since you became a slave things have been a lot different for you . Not just the little things being kicked out of your bed and having to sleep in a crate now , constantly wearing latex all day long even in the sun , being furniture when ordered and of course, taking your meals on the floor in a bowl now. But now for your regular physical you had to visit a new doctor who specialized in seeing slaves like yourself . Her office was in a different part of town walking on all fours through those doors you wouldn’t pee around the lobby quickly, making eye contact with the other patients all in different states of bondage some rougher than other . When you had a chance you saw a man’s ass beaten, black and blue . As you waited for your mistress to fill out your form you looked at the wall, all reinforcing the power dynamic of mistress and slave. When they were ready for you were led into the examination where the doctor waited for you . Your mistress introduced you and she answered preliminary questions about you . Once satisfied, you were instructed to undress and climb up onto the chair and sit , Doing so you undressed, taking off your suit, but keeping your mask as asked by your Mistress and were restrained quickly to the chair tightly with belt restrains . She would firmly examine your naked body caressing and groping you and once satisfied would ask for the key to your cage. Your mistress would hand the key to the doctor and she would release you. Yours throbbing purple penis stood there erected now free to only be slapped with her whip. Recoiling you would sit there and anticipation for what would happen next . Once satisfied she would glove herself and grab a big black dildo strap on from her table and put it on. She would tell you that she will now test your orgasmic reflex . She would proceeded to milk you friendly, gripping your throbbing penis tightly as she went while trusting into you with her dildo. You moaned and groaned as she went but when you did it she would whack you for it and shushing you to stay quiet as she worked. Then it happened after a long edging and teasing period you would finally blow cum loads onto her drapes and lab coat . Satisfied she allowed you to rest that she discussed further treatment options with your mistress. As you went flaccid she would fix the cage onto your cock locking it once more. Being brought down from the chair you and your business were walked out by the doctor and she talked with her. Home you spent the night as her toilet in the living room as she watched TV accepting her urine and stool albeit in a bag this time feeling it warm and disgust yet not tasting it . As you sat there you respond back to your session relieved that you were allowed it as next time you would be there it would be your Castration.

Jayvik babies except it’s just them cloning each other. It’s all test tube babies they make of each other.
“I have a surprise for you…” Jayce says as he walks into their cottage from the lab. He’d been working on a surprise for months. Over a year to perfect. Viktor was sitting and sewing a new pair of trousers when he watched Jayce come in. Their anniversary was in three days.
“Your early.” Viktor said almost proud that Jayce was the one who got the day wrong.
“Life waits for no one! Here she is!” Jayce said and held out a blanket swaddled baby. Viktor blinked.
“Where did you take a baby from?” Viktor said as he looked at the child. She was… wrinkly. With big eyebrows and dotted skin.
“I didn’t take her. I made her! She’s you!” Jayce said proudly and handed over the child. He watched as Viktor touched her soft skin, her perfect little hands coming up to grab at his own cold fingers.
“How?”
“I made a womb, took some of you, took forever to find a suitable environment but I did and then… yeah I fed her and I grew her. Do you… like her?” Jayce said nervously watching as Viktor let the little girl chew his finger. Her eyes blinked open, big and beautiful.
“Thank you Jayce. She’s perfect. Is this why you’ve been occupied in your workshop so much?”
“Yeah. I also made her a bunch of toys and furniture too. Lemme go get the bassinet!”

Ensuring that furniture meets high durability and safety standards is essential for manufacturers to maintain quality, comply with regulations, and enhance consumer trust. Furniture Testing Labs in Ajman conduct a wide range of tests to assess the strength, stability, fire resistance, and chemical safety of various furniture products. This blog explores the key tests performed by these labs to guarantee durability and safety.
1. Structural Strength and Load Testing
One of the most crucial tests conducted in Furniture Testing Lab is structural strength and load testing. This test ensures that furniture can withstand the weight and pressure of everyday use without breaking or becoming unstable.
Static Load Testing: Measures the maximum load a piece of furniture can bear before structural failure.
Dynamic Load Testing: Simulates repeated use to assess long-term durability.
Impact Resistance Testing: Evaluates how well furniture can withstand sudden shocks or heavy impacts.
Joint Strength Testing: Checks the durability of connections and fasteners in furniture assembly.
2. Stability and Tip-Over Testing
Unstable furniture poses serious safety risks, especially for households with children and the elderly. Tip-over accidents can lead to severe injuries, making stability testing a critical part of furniture assessment.
Tilt Testing: Ensures that furniture remains stable under normal usage conditions.
Overloading Stability Test: Assesses how furniture reacts to excessive weight.
Anti-Tip Testing: Verifies whether furniture meets anti-tip safety regulations, particularly for wardrobes, bookshelves, and cabinets.
3. Fire Resistance and Flammability Testing
Fire safety regulations vary by region, but most countries require furniture to resist ignition and limit flame spread in case of a fire. Ajman’s Furniture Testing Labs conduct fire resistance tests to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Cigarette Smoldering Test: Measures how furniture reacts to cigarette embers, a common cause of household fires.
Open Flame Testing: Evaluates furniture’s resistance to direct flame exposure.

Heat Release Rate Test: Determines how quickly a piece of furniture contributes to a fire.
4. Chemical Safety and VOC Emission Testing
Furniture materials often contain chemical additives such as formaldehyde, flame retardants, and adhesives. High levels of these chemicals can be harmful to human health, leading to respiratory problems and allergies. Ajman’s testing labs conduct chemical safety assessments to ensure compliance with environmental and health standards.
Formaldehyde Emission Testing: Checks the amount of formaldehyde released from wooden furniture and adhesives.
Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Testing: Measures the emission of harmful gases that can affect indoor air quality.
Heavy Metal Testing: Ensures that furniture coatings and paints do not contain toxic elements such as lead, cadmium, or mercury.
5. Upholstery and Fabric Durability Testing
For upholstered furniture, fabric and cushioning materials must withstand regular use without wearing out or deteriorating. Furniture Testing Labs in Ajman conduct multiple fabric and upholstery durability tests.
Abrasion Testing: Measures how well fabrics resist wear and tear over time.
Tensile Strength Testing: Evaluates the strength of fabrics to ensure they do not tear easily.
Colorfastness Testing: Assesses the fabric’s resistance to fading due to exposure to sunlight, water, or cleaning agents.
Seam Strength Testing: Tests the durability of stitched seams under stress.
6. Moisture and Humidity Resistance Testing
Furniture is often exposed to different humidity levels, especially in coastal regions like Ajman. Humidity can cause warping, swelling, or mold growth, reducing the durability of wooden and composite furniture materials.
Humidity Chamber Testing: Simulates extreme moisture conditions to assess the material's ability to withstand high humidity.
Water Absorption Testing: Determines how much water furniture materials absorb and their resistance to swelling or weakening.
Mold and Fungal Resistance Testing: Ensures furniture does not develop mold or bacteria in humid conditions.
7. Surface Finish and Scratch Resistance Testing
Aesthetic durability is just as important as structural strength. Furniture must maintain its appearance over time despite frequent use and cleaning. Surface finish and scratch resistance tests help evaluate how well materials resist wear and tear.
Scratch Hardness Testing: Measures how easily a surface gets scratched.
Stain Resistance Testing: Assesses the furniture’s ability to resist staining from liquids, oils, and food spills.
Abrasion Resistance Testing: Determines how well coatings and finishes withstand repeated friction and cleaning.
Gloss and Color Retention Testing: Ensures that painted and polished surfaces do not lose their shine or fade over time.
8. Flexibility and Ergonomic Testing
For chairs, sofas, and other seating furniture, ergonomic design plays a crucial role in comfort and functionality. Furniture testing labs conduct flexibility and ergonomic tests to enhance user experience.
Seat and Backrest Load Testing: Checks how much pressure seating furniture can withstand.
Armrest and Leg Strength Testing: Evaluates the sturdiness of armrests and legs under stress.
Height and Adjustability Testing: Ensures adjustable furniture meets design and comfort requirements.
User Comfort Testing: Measures how ergonomic furniture feels during prolonged use.
9. Environmental and Sustainability Testing
With growing concerns about eco-friendly production, manufacturers must prove that their furniture meets sustainability and environmental impact standards. Furniture testing labs in Ajman conduct tests for:
Eco-Friendly Material Testing: Ensures the use of sustainable raw materials, such as FSC-certified wood.
Biodegradability Testing: Assesses how well furniture components break down naturally.
Recyclability Testing: Determines whether materials can be reused or repurposed at the end of their lifecycle.
10. Custom Testing for Specialized Furniture
Furniture designed for specific industries, such as healthcare, hospitality, and commercial spaces, must meet additional safety and performance requirements. Testing labs provide customized testing solutions for:
Hospital and Medical Furniture: Testing for antimicrobial coatings and easy-to-clean surfaces.
Office Furniture: Durability tests for desks, chairs, and workstations.
Outdoor Furniture: Weather resistance testing against UV exposure, rain, and temperature fluctuations.
Children’s Furniture: Ensuring non-toxic materials and child-safe designs.
Conclusion
Ajman’s Furniture Testing Labs play a vital role in maintaining high durability, safety, and quality standards for furniture manufacturers. By conducting rigorous tests—ranging from structural strength and fire resistance to chemical safety and sustainability—these labs help businesses comply with global regulations and build consumer trust. Whether for local markets or international exports, testing ensures that furniture products are safe, reliable, and long-lasting.

The Role of Furniture Testing Labs in Dubai’s Hospitality and Hotel Fit-Out Projects | +971 554747210
Dubai’s booming hospitality sector is synonymous with luxury, innovation, and world-class experiences. From iconic skyscraper hotels to bespoke resort villas and upscale restaurants, furniture plays a critical role in defining both the aesthetic appeal and functional performance of every space. As such, working with a Furniture Testing Lab in Dubai has become a crucial step in ensuring that every chair, table, bed, and fixture meets the rigorous demands of the hospitality industry.
In this blog, we explore how Furniture Testing Lab in Dubai support hospitality and hotel fit-out projects by ensuring quality, safety, compliance, and durability—while aligning with the city’s architectural vision and international standards.
Why Furniture Testing Matters in the Hospitality Sector
In a competitive market like Dubai, hotel furniture must offer more than just visual appeal. It must be:
Durable to withstand high guest turnover
Safe to meet international fire and load-bearing standards
Comfortable for a seamless guest experience
Compliant with UAE regulations and global export standards
Environmentally responsible to meet green building goals
This is where a certified Furniture Testing Lab comes in. These labs provide scientific evaluation and validation to ensure that each furniture item not only looks good but performs under stress, heat, humidity, and daily use.
How Furniture Testing Labs Contribute to Hospitality Projects
🔹 1. Ensuring Structural Integrity and Durability
In hotels and resorts, furniture is subject to continuous use. A typical hotel chair may be sat on hundreds of times in a single week. Furniture Testing Labs simulate such scenarios using cyclical fatigue tests, load-bearing tests, and impact resistance checks to assess how well each item holds up.
Common tests include:
Static load testing (on beds, chairs, tables)
Durability testing for drawer and door mechanisms
Drop and impact testing
Leg and frame strength assessments
This ensures the furniture can withstand daily use without cracking, collapsing, or loosening—avoiding costly replacements and reputational damage.
🔹 2. Fire Safety and Flammability Compliance
In hospitality environments, fire safety is paramount. Upholstered furniture, cushions, and mattresses must meet local and international flammability standards. Dubai’s regulations, especially for high-rise buildings and hotel towers, mandate strict compliance.
Top Furniture Testing Labs in Dubai perform tests such as:
Cigarette and open flame tests (BS 5852, EN 1021)
Foam and fabric combustion analysis
Heat release and smoke density measurements
This reduces fire risks, improves safety protocols, and ensures fit-out projects are approved by Dubai Civil Defence.
🔹 3. Compliance with UAE and Global Standards
Dubai is home to a global clientele and often imports and exports hotel furniture across borders. Therefore, hotel fit-out furniture must comply with both:
UAE standards (via ESMA & Dubai Municipality)
International norms (ISO, ASTM, BIFMA, EN)
Furniture Testing Labs act as compliance partners by certifying that products meet:
BIFMA standards for office and hotel furniture
ISO 7170 for storage furniture
ASTM F2057 for clothing storage safety
EN 12520 for seating durability
Compliance opens doors to international procurement and reduces risks during inspections or customs clearance.
🔹 4. Material and Finish Quality Testing
Furniture Testing Labs in Dubai evaluate materials used in hotel furniture to ensure they are:
Non-toxic and low in VOC emissions
Scratch, stain, and moisture-resistant
Safe for indoor air quality (especially in enclosed hotel rooms)
Labs perform chemical analysis, surface coating assessments, and abrasion resistance tests on laminates, fabrics, foams, leathers, and metal finishes.

How Furniture Testing Labs Ensure Safety and Durability?
Furniture plays a crucial role in our daily lives, from homes and offices to public spaces. However, ensuring the safety and durability of furniture is essential to prevent accidents, injuries, and early product failure. This is where a Furniture Testing Lab comes into play. These specialized laboratories perform a series of tests to verify that furniture meets international and regional safety and quality standards. In this blog, we will explore how furniture testing labs ensure the safety and durability of various furniture products.
Importance of Furniture Testing
Furniture is exposed to constant use and sometimes extreme conditions. Poorly tested furniture can lead to structural failures, discomfort, and even serious injuries. Ensuring that furniture meets safety and durability standards is essential for manufacturers, retailers, and consumers alike. Furniture Testing Lab conduct comprehensive assessments to verify quality, durability, and compliance with safety regulations.
Key Reasons for Furniture Testing:
Ensures product safety for users
Enhances durability and longevity
Prevents product recalls and legal issues
Complies with industry standards and regulations
Improves consumer confidence and brand reputation
Common Tests Conducted in Furniture Testing Labs
1. Strength and Stability Testing
One of the fundamental aspects of furniture safety is its ability to withstand weight and pressure over time. Strength and stability tests assess whether the furniture can handle everyday use without collapsing or tipping over.
Examples of Strength Tests:
Static Load Test: Evaluates how well furniture holds up under a steady weight.
Impact Test: Simulates sudden force impacts, such as someone jumping on a chair.
Leg Strength Test: Ensures that table and chair legs can endure pressure without breaking.
2. Durability Testing
Durability testing determines how long furniture can maintain its integrity under normal and extreme usage conditions. It involves repetitive motions, environmental exposure, and long-term load applications.
Examples of Durability Tests:
Cyclic Fatigue Test: Simulates repeated use, such as sitting and standing from a chair.
Environmental Exposure Test: Exposes furniture to humidity, temperature variations, and UV radiation to check for material degradation.
Drawer and Hinge Cycle Test: Ensures that drawers and cabinet doors can open and close smoothly for thousands of cycles.
3. Flammability Testing
Fire resistance is a crucial factor in furniture safety, especially for upholstered products. Flammability tests assess how furniture reacts to fire, heat, and ignition sources.
Examples of Flammability Tests:
Cigarette Smolder Test: Determines how a piece of upholstered furniture resists ignition from a smoldering cigarette.
Open Flame Test: Measures how quickly a material catches fire when exposed to an open flame.
Heat Release Rate Test: Evaluates how much heat a burning piece of furniture emits.
4. Material and Chemical Testing
Furniture materials, including wood, metal, plastic, and fabrics, must meet specific chemical and toxicity standards to ensure user safety.
Examples of Material Tests:
Formaldehyde Emission Test: Checks for harmful chemical emissions from furniture materials.
Lead and Heavy Metal Test: Ensures that paints and coatings do not contain toxic substances.
Surface Coating Adhesion Test: Determines the durability of paint and finishes under stress and moisture exposure.
5. Ergonomics and Comfort Testing
Furniture should not only be safe but also comfortable and ergonomic. Ergonomic testing evaluates how well furniture supports proper posture and user comfort.
Examples of Ergonomics Tests:
Seat and Backrest Comfort Test: Measures lumbar support and seating comfort.
Armrest and Cushion Testing: Evaluates pressure distribution and comfort for extended use.
Height and Adjustability Test: Ensures that adjustable furniture meets ergonomic standards.
International Standards for Furniture Testing
Furniture testing labs follow globally recognized standards to ensure compliance and safety. Some of the most widely used standards include:
ANSI/BIFMA (Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association) – Standard for office furniture strength and durability.
ASTM International (American Society for Testing and Materials) – Standard test methods for various furniture components.
ISO 7173 & ISO 7174 – Strength and stability testing for chairs.
EN 1022 & EN 12520 (European Standards) – Stability and safety standards for domestic and commercial furniture.
California Technical Bulletin 117 (TB117) – Flammability standards for upholstered furniture.
How to Choose a Reliable Furniture Testing Lab
Selecting the right Furniture Testing Lab is essential for ensuring accurate results and compliance with industry regulations. Here are some key factors to consider:
1. Accreditation and Certification
Ensure that the lab is accredited by recognized organizations such as ISO 17025, which guarantees competency in testing and calibration.
2. Range of Testing Services
A comprehensive testing lab should offer a variety of tests, including structural, chemical, and fire resistance assessments.
3. Experience and Expertise
Choose a lab with a proven track record in testing furniture for various applications, such as residential, commercial, and industrial use.
4. Compliance with Industry Standards
Make sure the lab adheres to international testing standards such as BIFMA, ASTM, and ISO.

Tango's room was... not a cell, exactly. It was comfortable, and he had all the books and trinkets and furniture he wanted. He'd painted the walls himself, in firey sunrise colours to match him, and the carpet was soft enough that his toes sank into it when he walked around. He even had his own seperate bathroom with no cameras in. But the only window was a mirror on his side of the wall, and the door locked from the outside, and cameras near the ceiling monitored his every move, and he was only allowed to leave when one of the many scientists interested in him decided he could.
Still, it was all he knew, and he'd learnt as a kid to make do with a little.
Besides, it's not like the scientists were bad to him, not anymore. After 105 years, he'd become a sort of mascot to the palace labs, and it was taboo among the scientists to mistreat him. The tests, while annoying, never hurt, and for the ones that did they provided him with powerful anaesthetics that made him loopy and completely numb.
The tests themselves varied. They took cells from all over his body for the geneticists and microbiologists. They took samples from his scalp for the chemists trying to figure out how the fire on his head works. They tested how his body reacted to various types of radiation for the radiologists. The list went on and on, even after 105 years, of things they didn't know about him and wanted to find out.
He'd outlived four kings already, and more scientists than he could count, and they were no closer to discovering how much longer he was suspected to live. He still felt as lively as ever, so the general concensus was that he still had quite a while.
He was sitting at his desk, fiddling with the mess of wires and parts between his hands, when the door opened.
Tango looked up, confused, and saw Cub standing in the doorframe.
"More tests?" Tango frowned. He'd already sat through a whole host of tests this morning; he thought he'd be free for the rest of the day.
"No quite," Cub told him.
He was a man on the shorter, rounder side, but you wouldn't notice, not with everything else going on with him. Cub was the lead geneticist in the lab, and often conducted many of his experiments on himself. As such, he had a pair of tattered wings too small to be anything more than decoration, borrowed from the genes of a feathered dragon; a full set of sharp teeth not dissimilar from Tango's own, with which Tango had seen Cub snap a bone in half, borrowed from a mermaid; and pitch black hair and eyes, as well as traces of death magic, from a dark elf. He was the only person Tango knew who was older than him, though no one knew which race Cub had gotten the longevity from. While he was by no means human anymore, he got away with walking freely around the palace without hiding any part of himself by being a perfect mix of friendly, unsettling and indispensible.
It was Cub who had first combined the DNA of a pymgy dragon with that of a human, resulting in an infant with a mix of human and dragon traits, ie, Tango himself.
Cub studied Tango for a second with those almost soulless eyes, before announcing, "The king is dead. The new queen has ordered that all Vis being held against their will in the palace be released."
Tango blinked, reeling. "What?" The king was dead? He'd only been crowned a few years ago - that had to be some kind of record for shortest rule of the era. And the new queen...
Tango had met her once. Rebecca Argnum. She'd come to the lab the day before she disappeared two and a half months ago, and she'd sworn that she'd help him see the world some day. Tango hadn't put much thought into it - her brother was still young, after all, so by the time he died, he would have children of his own, and Rebecca wouldn't be next in line anymore - but still, it had been an tantalising prospect ever since. Now that it was suddenly a possibility - not just that, but a reality - he didn't know what to do.
Finally, he managed to get a question out of his brain and into his mouth. "What about Torchy?"
"Last I checked, he's still a Vis, too. He's as free as you are."
"But can he come with me?"
"If he wants to."
"Where is he?"
Cub eyed him up a moment longer, before smiling smugly, pointed teeth on display. "I sent Doc to fetch him. He's on his way."
Relief pulled Tango's shoulders downwards. Torchy, the pygmy dragon that half of his DNA came from, was usually in his room with him, but he'd been taken out earlier that morning for reasons no one would explain to Tango, and hadn't yet returned.
With the first of Tango's questions answered, the rest started spilling out. "Where do I go?"
"Wherever you want."
"Where am I allowed to go?"
"Wherever they'll have you."
"What happened to the king?"
"A group of rebels killed him."
Good.
Before the next question could make itself known, Doc stepped up behind Cub, a tiny, writhing mass of red-gold scales twisted around his cybernetic arm.
"Torchy!" Tango grinned.
The dragon lifted his head, spotted Tango, and pushed off of Doc's arm, with a happy growl of, "Tongo!" Torchy struggled more with speech than most pygmy dragons, and often his words came out garbled. Most of the time, no one besides Tango had any idea what he was saying.
Torchy reached him and settled on his shoulders, twining happily around his neck.
"Don't use me as your errand boy again," Doc snapped to Cub, though Tango knew he wasn't actually mad.
Doc seemed intimidating to those that didn't know him, because he was abnormally tall, had a resting scowl and held a grudge like a champion, but those who actually knew him knew he was really a big softie. He was the chief engineer in the lab, often working side-by-side with the geneticists, and was almost as strange to look at as Cub. An undercover mountain nymph, he took great care to hide the goati-ish parts of him: he wore his dark hair long and hid both it and the goat's horns the hair didn't quite conceal under a cap. His skin was more grey than pink, and he had a goat-like beard growing from his chin. Much of the right side of his body had been replaced by bionics, leaving him with a glowing red eye, an arm rather more "muscular" than the other, and a limp due to his right leg being human-shaped and his left being goat-shaped. No one knew what had happened for him to require the additions, and whenever someone asked, he always refused to explain. Doc was the oldest person in the lab, apart from Cub, and took orders from no one except Cub and the king himself.
Although, it was probably the queen herself now, Tango reasoned.
Everything Tango knew about engineering and electronics, he had learnt from Doc. Everything Tango knew about genetics and biology in general, he had learnt from Cub. In return, Tango didn't put up a fight when they wanted to do any sort of test, even the uncomfortable ones. The three had formed an unlikely crew of mutual benefits and mix-and-match bodies.
Doc held out his flesh arm, a messenger bag swinging from it. "I got you food and some real clothes - you can't wear Cub's old labcoat in public."
Tango looked down at the labcoat he wore. It was scorched from where he'd lost his temper a few times, stained from where he'd spilled seadust on it, and torn from both his and Torchy's claws. Cub had gifted it to him years ago, after the previous labcoat got incinerated due to events entirely unrelated to Tango's flames, he swears it.
"Thanks," he said, accepting the bag from Doc. He flicked it open and peered inside. All he could really identify from the pile of folded clothes was a black vest, though he definitely saw both yellow and red fabric beneath.
"Go get changed, then you can throw some of your things in the bag and we'll walk you out," Cub told him, gesturing at the bathroom door.
"Got it."
*
Half an hour later, Tango was standing at the palace's side gate with Torchy coiled around his arm, Cub on his left and Doc on his right.
He'd filled the messenger bag with books, seadust and seadust components, and as much of Torchy's horde - a small collection of gears and springs - as possible.
Tango loved the outfit Doc had picked out for him - though part of it was, of course, due the fact that he had never had real clothes before: in the summer, the lab coat sufficed, and in the winter he burrowed under the blankets and slept most of the time. The long-sleeved yellow shirt was tight enough to keep wind out and heat in, and the grey vest he wore over it was buttoned all the way down to keep it from flapping around. A pair of thick, baggy trousers made his legs look far wider than they really were, fuzzy grey boots kept his feet warm, and fluffy bands around his wrists kept his hands from freezing off. Without the carefully warmed conditions of his room in the lab keeping him just the right temperature, added measures were a must to ensure he didn't freeze; as such, a long, thick, black coat lined on this inside with blue fur was hung neatly over the bag, ready for when it was needed.
Tango only hoped it was enough.
"Keep walking east," Cub was telling him. "You'll reach the Subsol Woods in about two days, if you make good speed."
"Two days?! I can't walk two days!" Torchy protested, in his dragon language.
"You won't be doing any walking," Tango reminded the little dragon, holding up his arm to look him in the eye. "You'll probably barely even do any flying, for void's sake!"
Tango was the only person in the lab who could understand Torchy. Dragons, like so many other races, were born knowing the language, and Tango had inherited that ability. Torchy could both speak English as well, but he refused to. He'd been caught by the king of the time shortly after coming out from hiding, and had since taken every offence at the mere suggestion that he speak their language.
Doc chuckled, but then sobered up quick. "Just make sure you ration your food and don't eat it all at once. In the woods, you'll find both a faerie and an elf camp, though you'll probably come across the faeries first. Tell them Meyer sent you, they'll take care of you."
Right. Tango kept forgetting that "Doc" wasn't the engineer's real name.
"Got it," Tango nodded.
"Good luck," Cub said.
Tango took a deep breath, and took his first step out of the castle gate.
"WAIT!" a voice called before he could take a second.
They all turned to see a young woman - barely more than a girl, really - running towards them. The queen.
"Good, I was worried I'd missed you," Queen Rebecca panted when she reached them.
"Your majesty," Cub and Doc said together, bowing.
Wordlessly, Tango copied the motion.
The young queen waved her hand at him. "Ah, no need for that. Once you're outside those gates, you're officially free - you're barely even under my rule anymore."
"Oh," Tango said, because what else was he supposed to say?
"I wanted to give you this before you go." The queen held out a small drawstring pouch.
"What is it?" Tango asked curiously, taking it and weighing it in his hand. It was heavier than he expected, considering how little it seemed to hold.
"Something that'll help you later - trust me, it's saved my life more than once."
Tango started to open the pouch, but the queen hurriedly said, "No, no! Wait until you're alone."
Tango frowned. "Why?"
"It's..." She hesitated. "It's the sort of thing best opened in private."
"Right." Tango nodded, like that made any sense at all.
As he was tucking the pouch into the messenger bag, she went on, "I also wanted to wish you luck. I told you I'd get you out, and I did."
"Thank you," Tango said, and meant it with his whole heart.
Finally, finally he was getting to see the world.
He turned back to the city beyond the gate. He'd have to navigate that before he even reached the plains that stood between here and the Subsol Woods, but he'd memorised many maps of the country in his time, including one of the city as it currently stands. He didn't think he'd have much, if any difficulty with it.
After another deep breath, he took his second step out into the world.
And just like that, he was walking, a free male, his best friend on his arm and a mystery pouch in his bag, and Doc's call to "be careful!" in his ears.
He had no idea where he was going or who he would meet, but he was ready. This world was about to see what a Tek could do with freedom and a pocket full of seadust.

Bad End: Witness
Tumblr media
"Specimen '873 is starting to disappoint me. He was showing such promise. These numbers, however?" My keeper muttered to himself, distaste painting his face as he watched the feed in front of him. "Unacceptable for a battle class. He might as well be spare biomass at this point."
He was supposed to be wearing his glasses, not holding them. They may have been called "reading" glasses? But they were not, technically, just for that. They also had a blue light filter. Helped with headaches and eyestrain. He just hated wearing them because he thought they made him look old.
A God Forbid ANYTHING remind him of the passage of time.
He did NOT take it kindly.
I managed to avoid THAT landmine by virtue of having witnessed his receiving them. An "incident" that resulted in his head slamming against a screen. Protocol demanded he get checked. In the process, they discovered his eye sight was declining. It was a... bad day. I brought him things to break and stayed very, very quiet.
He bounced back fairly quickly, though. Once the arrogant researcher who had arranged for the incident to even OCCUR? Tried to come lord his "weakened old man" status over him. It was one thing to "accidently" let the battle class get unfettered access to weapons before loyalty train. But to be dumb enough to step into his lab, call him weak, and gloat about it?
Dr. Raghnall Periculum was many things.
But "unwilling to bludgeon a man to death with the nearest object" was not one of them.
He was dangerous like that. Murderous. It came and went like shifting storms, all you could really do was learn to read the triggers. Get good at knowing when to back up. When to hold really, REALLY still. After all... this was a lawless, immoral place. No one here could or WOULD stop him.
They were all just as bad.
Gritty Sci-Fi Otome games are... a lot less fun to LIVE. To be honest? They are actually pretty horrifying. Traumatizing, really. Hellish. As in, I am pretty sure this is a futuristic version Of Hell (but that is a personal opinion). I regret EVER playing a single damn one. But... BUT? I CLING to the knowledge I gained from it. So I can not regret it completely. Because through them? Through KNOWING this world?
I KNOW this will end. KNOW we will be free. That these monsters will pay for what they've done. The epilog promises a golden age. A beautiful, peaceful dawn after this long and terrible night, filled with horrors. I just... I just have to survive. Hold on. Keep my head down and pray.
I may be trapped in hell, but I'm not broken.
We will be Free.
I have SEEN IT.
Sometimes the greatest defiance is just refusing to die. Just keeping hope alive. I... I can do that. May not be able to fight my way out. Not smart enough to hack or sabotage these nightmares. But I can stay alive. I... I can do that. Bear witness, that someday I may stand against them in trial. Record. So no one is forgotten.
It doesn't feel like enough. I feel tired and angry. Hateful and small. But for the sake of my sanity? I make myself feel nothing. Compartmentalize. I've... I've become unfortunately quite good at it. Good at a lot of terrible things. Like placating. Making myself small. Being invisible. A retail smile. Being one with the furniture.
See, just like the poor souls on the screens in front of him? I'm a Clone. Of who? I have no idea. None of us do. They use old DNA databases. From when it was first commercially available, I think. Like those ancestry tests. Here it was squirrelled away, kept for later use. Which... was us.
My template has been dead for centuries, I think. Or perhaps? She would have considered herself my mother? I hope she would have, strange as I turned out to be. We are all children of the dead. It'd be nice to think they'd have wanted us.
Dr. Periculum's cup lifts lightly as he take a drink, more focused on his work then anything else. That heft is about midway point. I've discovered if I begin brewing now, it will be done by the time his cup is empty and he wants more. A glance at the closest screen gives me the time. Food too, is a good idea.
He likely won't eat it. But if it's there? The chances are higher. And when he comes out of his focus, it'll be available. Less chance of him getting irritated by hunger.
On a well practiced route through piles of notes and projects I know better then to touch, I quietly make my way to the coffee machine. Begin another round of abomination the caffeine tar. It is, quite honestly, a wonder he hasn't accused me of trying to poison him to a heart attack.
A few granules of salt, a bit of cinnamon, some expensive fatty creamer, aaaand? There. Unholy bitterness gone. "Just" a cup of liquid tar so potent it could make a rhino taste time.
I also grab one of the meat pies and put it on a little paper plate.
Ah... what has my life become? That I am so well practiced in make snacks for a monster? Picking them up, I don't dare answer that. That way lies madness. Don't think about it. It can wash out in therapy. After. Because there WILL be an After. There HAS to be an After.
Careful steps and...? Just as I estimated. He just ran out. I nearly silently tap the paper plate down to the edge of the table then slide it forward, with-in ease of reach, but not too close. Then I swap the cups. Go to step away. Only to freeze. As, out of the corner of my eye, I see one of his hands briefly leave his keyboard to make a nearly dismissive "one moment" gesture.
Stay put. Don't move. I'll address you when I'm done with my, more important, thoughts. I feel the flash of fear, of panic, but let it go. There is nothing I can do. I will be hurt or I won't be hurt. There is no use suffering twice, through speculation and fear, I remind myself. Force my mind empty and pleasant. Retail smile. Happy to serve.
He finishes. Leans back, dissatisfied with some project or other, and finally slips on his glasses. Gestures imperiously for the cup in my hands. I do not question of course, merely hand it to him. He takes it, passes it to his other hand, and sets it aside. Then, casually, leans slightly over and wraps a thickly muscled arm around my waist. Dragging me off my feet and into his lap.
"You know, girl? B-21873 really was, actually quite promising. I was starting to think I'd keep him. Decent speed, good stamina, excellent problem solving. His test scoring was exceeding all expectations. Really thought I might have gotten you a little friend to play with. A gaurd so I could send you out on some chores safely. But no, he just HAD to be a failure." He said, leaning forward to grab his cup.
I was crushed awkwardly close. Could feel every moment. Acutely aware of his woody and sea air cologne, the coffee on his breath as words were spoken far to close, the beating of a heartbeat I could feel against my arm. Hyper aware of him. Why was I in his lap? This felt dangerous. I should not be in his lap.
Between sips, he turned his head and pressed his lips to my temple, not kissing... somehow worse. Just... just breathing me in. Slow, deliberate, and deep. Like savoring a scent, a sensation. The subtle back and forth, as though rubbing his lips against my hair. Enjoying the feeling against sensitive skin. It could almost be a cuddle on any other man. It took everything I had not to shudder.
"Unlike you of course. You pet, could never disappoint me. If these rejects tried even half as hard as my perfect darling girl? The world'd be a better place." He paused his almost nuzzling. To simply rest his head against mine, pulling off his glasses so he could tuck his head closer. His breathe was hot against my ear. His voice gravel and distain as it spoke of others.
"It's disgusting. Like they don't even try. We spend countless resources breeding, feeding, and training them... for what? Failure? I'm starting to think those bastards are deliberately sending me bad specimens."
Every word he said was horrifying. I could not cry. Dare not. But my heart screamed for those poor souls. They were just kids. Trapped in hell. Tortured from birth. Disposed of when they no longer met some arbitrarily impossible anime standard. If I turned my head, even slightly, I KNEW, I would be faced with screens of untold suffering. Feeds of "testing". So called training. Autopsy reports and datapoints.
Lists of who... who had been deemed "not good enough".
Who were scheduled to become "recycled biomass".
But if I looked? I would weep for them. And that? That was dangerous right now. Right NOW? I had to be pleasant company. A child's doll to be dragged around. No thoughts, no differing opinions. Preferably no opinions at ALL. Just warm and huggable. Soft. A beloved pet who serves coffee and brings things when told. Endure. I just... I must simply ENDURE.
The night will end. Dawn will come. Believe in her.
J-Just empty your head... and Believe In Her.
An alert pops up. I can hear it on a screen somewhere behind me. Dr. Periculum turns his head to look, reaching for his snack. Freezes. Then, a sharp bark of laughter. It's violent, like the strike of a lightning bolt, jostling me. The ones that follow just as harsh. He's not a man that laughs often. And it's not a kind sound.
Filled with schadenfreude, his laughter is like the vicious barks of hunting hounds. The shots of a weapon. A short and harsh to the ears sound, over and over. Delight in the suffering of an enemy. The fall of a rival. It strikes through his body like seizures. Making him lean forward to read. Brace against the desk, tighten his grip around me, widen the brace of his legs.
Glancing up, his eyes are alight with manic glee. His grin is vicious.
He looks Feral.
"Well, well, WELL! What do we have HERE?! Is that Jack ANDERSON'S facility I see? Mr. 'Master of the genome' himself? Looks like SOMEONE got AHEAD of themselves! Ha!" Raghnall cackles spinning his chair so I can see the screen. Leaning back to grab his cup and toast with it. "Look what we have here, pet! Some fucking KARMA! I knew that little shit wasn't worth the paper his degree was printed on! See this? THIS is what happens when you can't control your own damn compound!"
"Rest in PIECES, you worthless little SHIT!"
I sat. Frozen. As Dr. Periculum laughed and laughed, his mood viciously pleased. Because... because I recognized that facility. Chapter Two. There was an animation that played. The... the BREAKOUT! Joy filled me. Like the first rays of dawn. That was HER. S-she was OUT! Free! She DID it! Oh god... oh god she was COMING! It had finally BEGUN!
I caught myself. Barely.
My eyes felt a bit wet so I disguised it with a fake yawn. I dare not show empathy. NEVER show empathy. Keep it guarded like diamonds in your chest. If he thought, for even a moment, that I empathized with anyone but him. CARED about anyone but him? They wouldn't last the hour.
And it would be the longest, cruelest, hour in existence, as they died.
You make that sort of mistake exactly ONCE.
"Ah~ todays a GOOD day. And you know what we should do?" He hummed, nearly a coo as he spun us almost lazily around on his chair. In whimsical circles like a bored child. "We should celebrate. Ding dong, the fuckers dead~ HA HA! Not to mention? It's been entirely too long, pet, since I've spoiled you rotten. We should get a cake, hmm? You want a cake? Lil treat? Sweet lil treat for my girl?"
"I could get you that new dress I've been looking at. Bet you'll look like a classy lil princess, won't that be nice? Can even make it match the trackers I'm finishing up! No more uncomfy collars when we go out! Just pretty lil bracelets, ain't that nice?"
I force myself to smile. Nod. Ignore the fear and anger, the humiliation and helplessness. It's not time yet. Bid your time. You will LOSE your chance for True Freedom if you give in to your anger. Your hurt. Patience, THEN strike. Remember! Chapter two! There are FIVE.
It is COMING.
He stopped spinning, planting his feet on the floor. His manic grin softening. No less unhinged, less full of teeth, but perhaps the closest a man like him could come to loving. His eyes obsessive as the roam my face. Cataloging everything.
"You know, pet? You really might be might greatest creation. Best thing I've ever made or done. Anyone wants you? They'd have to pry you from my cold, dead hands. I'd burn EVERYTHING down. Kill just about EVERYONE." His voice was the sort of whispered confession meant for churches, not the heart of this hell he had built. It felt unholy. Dangerous.
Exactly like him.
"Once I figure how to take humanity to it's next stage? Reverse aging? Heck, even stop it. I promise, pet. Gonna take you with me. You're coming along for the ride. Straight to the end. Heat death of the universe. Well become GODS, pet. Live forever and a day. Bet you can't wait, huh?"
"Don't worry. The futures going be BEAUTIFUL. Just you wait."

WIP excerpt for Jan behind the cut; the one where Kon’s soulmark isn’t fake. (( chrono || non-chrono ))
“Sorry,” he tries, which probably just makes him sound like an idiot. Like he’s just–fucking stupid or whatever.
He really did fuck up today.
Again.
“‘Sorry’?” Superman repeats, looking–weird, a little, and still frowning. Superboy feels stupid and useless and fucking embarrassed, and just shrugs uncomfortably and pretends to be looking at, like–the cars way down below on the street, or the people, or . . . just whatever isn’t Superman, he guesses.
Whatever doesn’t make him feel just as fake as his stupid soulmark is.
“I dunno,” he says to the street way down below, booking at just whatever’s down there. “I did a shitty job and fucked up again. I didn’t like–mean to, or whatever. Obviously. Like, very obviously I did not mean to fuck up like that.”
“No one got hurt,” Superman says. Superboy resists the self-conscious urge to hunch in on himself and hide. Like–he didn’t get hurt. Just–he’s sore and whatever and a little scorched and bruised under the jacket, probably, but . . . yeah. Whatever.
Nobody important got hurt, so it’s whatever.
“Yeah, but the bank still got all fucked up,” he says. “I broke, like, their stupid fancy frou-frou marble floor or whatever. And, uh–some of the counters and furniture and stuff. And a couple . . . pillars, and . . . yeah. Anyway. The managers were pretty pissed.”
Obviously.
Superman sighs, and Superboy tries not to cringe. Like, at least not visibly, if nothing else.
“Kid–yes, it’s better not to cause unnecessary property damage, but in an entire bank’s worth of a hostage situation, all you need to care about is keeping the people undamaged,” Superman says. “The managers were probably just rattled and lashing out at a safe target over something they felt like they could control. They wouldn’t have expected you to have worried about the floors in a situation like that if they were thinking clearly.”
Yeah they would’ve, ‘cuz they’re used to YOU, Superboy doesn’t say, because it’d just be a stupid excuse anyway. But the stupid floor wouldn’t even have gotten scuffed if it’d been Superman in that bank, and that’s what everybody’s used to.
But he’ll never be Superman if he can’t fucking handle even one lousy mess of a bank robbery without making stupid excuses about it.
“I just fucked up. I’ll do better next time,” he says instead, because he doesn’t wanna come off like he is making excuses or like he can’t do the job, and Superman frowns. So like–not a great sign, that.
“You haven’t even been doing this that long,” Superman says, still frowning. “And no reasonable person could expect you to be perfect.”
So . . . Superman doesn’t expect him to measure up to him, Superboy translates in his head, and–like, obviously he doesn’t, but it’s still fucking embarrassing when the guy just says it like that. Just–he’ll do better next time, he tells himself. He’ll be better next time. Prove he deserves the “S” and the name “Superboy” and–and all that shit.
But he told himself that last time he fucked up too, so clearly that’s only working out so well for him.
“I’ll do better next time,” Superboy repeats, because he doesn’t know what else to say, and then glances back down at the street again. Everybody down there’s so tiny, and Superman’s right next to him and filling up the whole damn world, kind of, and . . .
And Clark Kent is a real person with a real mark, and it probably looks just like the fake one Superboy’s wearing.
But, like, that’s not even anything he’s allowed to complain about.
He could be locked up in a lab right now. He could be a test subject or an experiment or just a dead body to be dissected and analyzed and–
Like, that’s what he’ll be whenever he finally fucks up enough to get himself killed, obviously. But he isn’t that yet.
So like–it’s fucking stupid and shitty, if he complains about what he’s got now.
“Kid . . .” Superman says slowly, his frown deepening, and Superboy just feels like such a fucking waste of a not-person and hates all the weird, self-pitying thoughts that’re filling up his head right now. He’s Superboy. He’s not–he doesn’t have a reason to feel so fucking shitty about himself or . . . or whatever.
Just because he’s not a real person and he made a mess stopping a bank robbery and he met Superman’s soulmate.

Tiny Whumpee Getting Heatstroke from Whumper's negligence - "Mice Don't Talk"
Warnings: severe heat exhaustion, lack of oxygen, suffocation due to Whumper's inattentiveness/negligence, trapped lab rat Whumpee
This one was actually requested by an anon, who wanted a tiny Whumpee and gave me the prompt "Mice Don't Talk". So here it is!
Tiny little Whumpee had been trapped in the upside-down pint glass for way too long while Whumper took his notes and ran his tests. Usually he'd give Whumpee at least a few minutes outside of the tight prison during his daytime research hours -- but he'd been stuck here for hours on end. And air was steadily starting to run out.
Whumper didn't usually keep him inside the pint glass for long periods of time -- his usual cage of choice was a big terrarium with dollhouse-sized furniture for Whumpee to use. Whumper only used the pint glass to make sure Whumpee wouldn't go anywhere when he was actively studying him for the day, occasionally taking him out to poke and prod at his small humanoid body.
Whumpee looked exactly like a miniature human, aside from a pair of delicate, crumpled wings protruding from his back that had been permanently crippled when Whumper first captured him. He couldn't fly, and Whumper made sure as hell he couldn't run away, taking every precaution to keep him from escaping.
The upside-down glass overtop Whumpee was directly under the hot examination light where Whumper had been studying him closely, before apparently switching to scribbling down notes on a pad of paper nearby and promptly forgetting the situation he'd left Whumpee in.
It didn't take long at all for the stuffy air inside Whumpee's current prison to heat up to an unbearable level, making him sweat. The discomfort was immense, but no biggy, he could survive a little heat -- Whumper always made sure he was well-hydrated. The /real/ worry started when he was getting dizzy, feeling like he couldn't get enough air.
The edges of the glass he was trapped in were flush with the countertop he'd been left on, creating a perfect seal that didn't allow fresh oxygen in. It was sweltering, and now the air was getting thinner with every breath.
Logically Whumpee knew he should try to slow his breathing to make every breath last longer as the oxygen was depleted, but the dawning fear and anxiety only make them quicken, and soon he was panting from a mixture of heat exhaustion and slow suffocation. Sweat dripped from his face, and his skin felt tingly and achy all over.
Panic. Survival instincts kicking in. That's all he could think about now, was how badly he needed to get out and get fresh air to fill his lungs instead of the stale atmosphere he was standing in.
Whumpee wasn't permitted to speak. He'd learned that lesson early on in his captivity, that Whumper didn't want his science projects to talk. The consequences when he dared utter a word were severe. He was allowed to scream and wail in pain, but saying actual words was off the table. He couldn't beg, or plead for the pain to stop when he endured Whumper's excruciatingly experiments.
But this was getting increasingly urgent. Could he risk Whumper’s wrath if it meant not suffocating?
Whumpee placed a hand against the wall of glass containing him, staring through it at where Whumper was completely lost in his notes a short distance away. He cautiously tapped the glass, trying to snag his captor's attention to alert him of what was happening to one of his prized text subjects, to realize that Whumpee was likely going to die if he stayed like this much longer -- under the intense heat of the lamp above him, and with no more air to breathe. If the heatstroke didn't kill him first, the lack of oxygen certainly would.
Whumper paid him no mind, and Whumpee tapped louder, getting more desperate, chest heaving as he panted heavily.
Crap. This was bad.
Desperation gripped Whumpee in its vise-like grip, and he began to truly panic, throwing himself against the wall of the pint glass in an effort to either knock it over and free himself or nudge it off the edge of table where it would fall and at least he'd be able to breathe again. Anything was better than this, slowly cooking alive and drowning in air.
Horror and despair settled in when the glass barely budged. It was too heavy for Whumpee's small size to move.
He switched to pounding on the glass with his fists, making the distinct chirping noise Whumper had taught him to use when he needed attention. But even that didn't work -- Whumper remained fixated on his notes.
Whumpee's body was weakening fast, and he pounded harder with the last of fading strength even after his fists bruised, panicked and desperate for a lifeline. He didn't want to die like this.
Whumper continued humming to himself, oblivious to his pet's dire situation.
Whumpee's legs suddenly gave out, and he collapsed, sliding down against the wall of the glass until he flopped limply on his side, breathing raggedy. He only had one option left to survive: to break Whumper's biggest rule for him.
"Hfff.... hfff... Whumper... please..." He gasped out, speaking for the first time in months.
Whumper frowned, pausing reading over his notes to scowl, but he didn't look in Whumpee's direction, to his dismay.
"Congrats, you just earned a punishment later. Hope it was worth it," Whumper growled angrily. "Mice don't talk, remember? I thought you'd learned your lesson already after the last punishment..."
Whumpee's eyes were rolling back in his skull, and he knew he was on the brink of passing out -- and then it would all be over. If he was unconscious he wouldn't be able to alert Whumper to rescue him, and he'd die. Baked under the heat of the lamp.
"Please," Whumpee slurred, voice cracking and fading as he weakened, "help... me..."
His vision was darkening around the edges, threatening to suck him under. But it worked -- that was enough to finally get his captor's attention, and through the walls of the pint glass he watched Whumper turn to him with a confused frown, probably wondering why his pet would choose now to disobey. He also saw the exact moment Whumper realized what was happening, and bolted out of his chair to lunge for him and take the glass off.
Whumpee's eyes slipped close, sweat flooding from every pore in his body. He was distantly aware of the stuffy atmosphere disappearing from around him, replaced by a cold gust of air that washed soothingly over him. But nothing more, as he promptly passed out
-------------------------------------------------------
Whumpee came to his senses awhile later and opened his eyes to find Whumper’s face hovering worriedly over him, one hand holding a file folder he was using to gently fan Whumpee's overheated body to help cool him down. It felt absolutely amazing after how unbearably hot he'd been trapped inside the pint glass. He sighed in relief and let his body relax, soaking up the feeling. He'd survived, just barely.
But he suddenly tensed up when he remembered Whumper's words after he'd broken the rule. Congrats, that earned you a punishment later.
It would hurt. A lot. Whumpee had no doubt about that. Punishments dealt by Whumper always were. But Whumper seemed to read his mind, and shook his head.
"I'm sorry for not paying closer attention to you, Whumps. I was horribly negligent and it almost killed you. I take back what I said earlier -- I won't punish you for speaking this time, since you were just trying to survive. From here on out I will permit you to speak in emergencies only -- but if you talk and I find out it's not an emergency, you will pay for it. Do you understand me?"
Whumpee nodded shakily, swallowing the lump in his throat.
Whumper ran a hand through his hair, setting down the folder he'd been using to fan his precious pet. "That was a close call," he admitted, "I'll make sure to be far more careful with you in the future -- I sometimes forget just how fragile you are."
Whumpee offered a weak, strained smile. He was glad to hear Whumper promise to take better care of him in the future, because he knew his captor reliably kept his promises. Whumpee was still a prisoner, of course -- but that didn't mean he had to be constantly suffering. There were moments like these, moments of mercy, when Whumper would show him a sliver of humanity. It was always a welcome reprieve.
