As in “You know better than this”, “You are acting out”, “Don’t let you emotions/morals overcome you”

Nezha doesn’t need to “control himself” He doesn’t need to be a perfect neutral being.

He’s always strived to protect, guard and do the right thing. He meditates and spends years doing his duty.

The threat of his father's disappointment was always whether or not he could "control himself”?!?!

Whether he could look good (like in front of the underworld judges) and swallow his own desires in order to fulfil his duty?

His dad is giving I know this feels wrong and harsh but you need to do hard things for the greater good.

"Control yourself” means get it together this needs to happen (chaining Wukong).

I can’t imagine the effect those words would have on Nezha as he grew up.

(Parents don’t care about age they will put their principles and ideals on a three year old.)

Imagine child Nezha acting as children do and his father saying “control yourself”.

The shame of being a normal kid and then being called “undignified” by your father.

How much was Nezha denied in his self expression?

How often did he need to think about his image and how others would perceive him because his dad said it was more important than anything else?

if you think it’s in any way fine or cool to speak unkindly about other people in the fandom, refering to them by name so that everyone knows you’re talking about that person, get out of my blog and out of this fandom. especially to do so on a platform you know that the person doesn’t use so that they can’t even see it. this is fandom, this is just fake things online. if someone pisses you off you need to just block them and not think about them. there are REAL people behind accounts and you’re not edgy or funny for talking about how horrible and awful people are just because they disagree with you

The trouble is, of course, Joker had never actually seen this particular Crane, so outside of the odd bit of Buscemi association there wasn't a lot to go on in the looks department. Which wasn't too bad, he thought, as long as they were talking the young to mid range. Even a young Buscemi sort of looked like he was 40.

But looks were only cursory to his interests. The real appeal was in such a damaged little mind, and the seeming contradictions between what the man of straw wanted and what he was willing to allow himself to have. Not to mention what people would say or think about their potential relationship, the potential for tension should the funny little hat man take issue with the advances.

It was funny, simply put. Or would be. Eventually. Perhaps.

And he was remarkably endearing for a Scarecrow. His own was sort of all gloom and doom, wouldn't be caught dead typing out girlish giggling or giving him an admittedly incredibly cute nickname.

Overall, this other Jonathan was an opportunity for a fun little game with some great prizes, something that could help kill time between crimes, maybe get a nut off here or there.

The problem seems that, of course, the dear Doctor was just a little too smart to play along with the gag. For now.

I can't be weird about fandoms online cause people are into fandoms without being freaks now. It's so accessible that it can be a mild hobby instead of an obsession or dedication. Which don't get me wrong- love that, excited to see how this culture shift settles as we move forward. However that does mean to be insane about characters in a proper nerd way I have to enter a comic store.
