Why these photos? There’s an emphasis on hands and shadows due to Finley’s powers and where he draws them from. He draws on desires, which I visualized through hands as touch is so strongly tied to desires, and his powers of physical manipulation often manifest as shadows. Finley’s place of solace is his pond, and he also uses still water as a means of magical communication. The bird represents his daughter as he calls her sparrow.

Why these photos? A lot of my inspiration for Mollena comes from gothic horror and theres a constant theme of instability in her physical body as a mirror of her mental state and sense of self. Is she spirit? Is she flesh? Can she wield herself to be either wholly or will she always exist in between?

@fullyclothedmolerat late response but OMG I am a supply chain analyst and my role started with just doing supply chain related reporting (for purchasing and inventory stuff like lead times, turns, spend, supplier metrics, etc) and that wasn't nuts cause I transitioned to an analyst from a buyer position and this kinda stuff was my wheelhouse. Plus I had already been building reports for myself to make my job easier. I just had to familiarize myself with the databases more and learn more complicated SQL so I could so more interesting n fun things.

But since transitioning I've been roped into doing a lot of shit for our sales team. It's some stuff they genuinely need but no longer have anyone within their dept who can create anymore, but also a lot of stuff that I have to do to maintain accountability because the sales team wouldn't do it themselves and repeatedly lied about not doing it. Then there's a lot of stuff I have to do for them because they fucked stuff up unbelievably hard and don't even know the extent of the issue let alone how to fix it. So I have to dig thru their stupid data and pinpoint where things went wrong or identify what stuff was affected by the mistake. I had to learn a lot of their fucking work to do this btw and it sucks. Literally I am constantly reading their customers' contracts and making sure everyone is abiding by its terms. I can not just trust what they say because they have told me the wrong things or straight up lied to me for whatever fucking reasons so I have to know the job to manage their shit correctly. Soooooo bullshit and sooooo not in my job description :/

I also have to help accounting with audits sometimes cause their records go into our database obvs and they need help pulling them. This is the scariest thing in the world. The accounting tables are horrifying and doing something wrong (because I don't work in accounting!! I don't know how their stuff works!! Its complicated work!!!) could result in a serious problem.

I have also had to do various work for our production and warehouse teams to help them deal with weird specific issues before they had better tools to manage them, cause in the meantime I could build a query + sheet that gave them enough detail to work from. Like for example I did something once to help determine labor needs for the last couple days of the quarter based on how many orders remained and at what stage of completion they were in.

I'm one of only two people outside the software development team who knows how to use SQL, the other being my boss's boss and he can't be pulled into this kinda stuff... so I have become an all arounder who has to know as much as possible about everything cause everyone needs help. And when I don't know how to help with something I get bitched at...

Shadowheart… she’s my wife she’s my best friend she’s my mirror she’s my narrative foil I just love her. Her design is so delicious too. My husband actually got a necklace custom made for my birthday right after the game dropped that looks exactly like Shadowheart’s circlet

02. your favourite food from your culture.

Americans really changed the game with corn dogs and peanut butter. They’re like the only two foods that make me feel patriotic. Also if we’re talking about roots shepherds pie and cottage pie have a big tradition in my family and instantly make me feel at home

03. what your dream apartment / room / house is like.

We’re actually about to move cross country and trade our 3 bedroom house for an apartment so I’ve been thinking about this a lot. I really like a clean but moody aesthetic. Minimal knick-knacks but some silver framed art, colored glass vases. I’m hesitant to say dark academia but maybe just like a slightly less cluttered whimsigoth?

04. your personal style or aesthetic.

Lots of cool tones and dark colors. I prefer looser more gender neutral cuts when I can but when I’m feeling more feminine I LOVE a patterned fishnet + band tee combo. I also wear a lot of hair accessories like hair sticks and claw clips (these sunnies have been on my wishlist forever, and those vans are my favorite shoes I currently have)

05. a happy memory.

Seeing Hozier for his wasteland baby tour :) it was at the beautiful orpheum theater and the whole show was so dreamy

06. your favourite way(s) to spend time.

Playing D&D, writing, playing video games with my husband, horror movies, reading, going on road trips, sunbathing.

07. story behind your url / title / quote / description / icon.

As far as my url, my favorite pokemon is Grimmsnarl!! I love the dark/fairy dual typing. Also I love the use of imps as familiars.

My kitties 🩵 they are my little house goblins and I love them so much.

I saw Dev Patel’s Monkey Man weeks ago and I can’t stop thinking about it. I know I didn’t even catch all the complexities because I don’t know much about eastern cultures but it’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen and the symbolism I did catch blew me away. Please watch Monkey Man. Please.
