I NEED a continuation of that satosugu x bully!reader thing you wrote
Tumblr media
Okay okay😚 i will do it, i will make this a little long, enjoy it~ and thanks for the Request ❤️
They mean a continuation of this one
Bully! SatoSugu x Bully! Reader
Genre: Headcanons
Reader: female
Warnings:EXPLICIT BULLYING (not towards reader! rather she is the bully along with the boys. Don't do this in real life btw, it's horrible), reader has a bad family situation, reader has SEVERE attitude problems, surprisingly good friends Bully! SatoSugu? Ambiguos if this a Romantic poly relationship or a Platonic one(it's Upon You)strange amount of Fluff towards the end.
JUST TO CLARIFY, BULLYING IS SHIT AND ANYONE WHO DOES IT IS A HORRIBLE PERSON, NO MATTER THE REASON. THE BULLYING DESTROYS PEOPLE, THIS HAS NO INTENTION TO ROMANTICIZE THE IDEA OF BULLYING, BUT TO TAKE REFERENCE TO THE TROPE FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE.
reader was someone... difficult to say the least.
From the first day he set foot in high school the only thing he did was cause some kind of trouble.
The students were afraid of her, her volatile nature made it difficult to know what she was going to do or what was going to provoke her.
teachers even started taking precautions around her to stay safe from her outbursts. which were a little bit of everything, from robberies, insults, physical violence, etc.
without forgetting that the girl's class attendance was irregular and inconsistent. just like your notes.
She hated everyone and it seemed like everyone hated her.
That's why he constantly moved between schools when the previous one had had enough of his antics.
which generated a big discussion at home.
The neighborhood where the reader lived was not very good, but her house was worse.
her mother was long gone, and her father, a poor excuse of a man, didn't do much for a living other than berating her for her own bad behavior.
often ending in physical fights. It was the only way they both had to get out their frustration.
It was the only thing the reader knew.
but sincerely? Not everything was so bad.
She had built a reputation as a badass in every school she went to and scared her, she liked the feeling of finally being in control.
Being feared was fun, no one messes with you. You are at the top.
and at the same time you go unnoticed, since no one has the courage to say something against you (unless they want a beating)
Although it was definitely a bit monotonous at this point, the reader liked the feeling of being someone people were afraid of for once.
although something changed in 2007
That year, a reader was reintegrating into secondary education after a particularly unpleasant expulsion.
and thanks to that, it was somewhat difficult for her to find a school that would admit her this year until they forgot about the drama of the previous one.
and she went to the Jujutsu academy (strange name)
That was where he met them, in a way.
or rather, Gojo and Geto already knew about her beforehand.
It was difficult not to recognize her from the recent drama with the beating she gave to the gang of chimpiras in her old school (schools?)
Gojo was curious, Geto somehow felt threatened.
Gojo wanted to know how hard he could push this new student, to see her tough girl image crumble.
Geto took it more seriously, although he did not consider the reader a serious threat, a full-fledged bully with a reputation would definitely draw the spotlight on her for a while. They shouldn't let her think it was important.
The plan they had made was the standard.
First they would start with small incidents that did not seem malicious, so that she would lower her guard. so she would think it was a safe place.
Then those incidents would increase in quantity and more frequently, also starting to bring certain passive aggressive comments into the mix, but you still can't consider bullying, right?
Things like picking on her while she was distracted, grabbing her things without permission, commenting on her appearance, yes, all of that is wrong, but can you really say it's bullying? Are you really going to take a prank that seriously?
and from there, use everything they had.
stealing whatever she had for lunch, throwing food on her, yelling at her during breaks about how fat and ugly she was...
--use any kind of secret of her against her, throw her things in the trash, all so she would understand his place.
she was beneath them.
but things...did not turn out as they expected.
First of all, reader was much more aggressive than one would expect. every time Gojo tried to get closer it was like she sensed danger and moved away or worse, threw something AT HIM.
Like the time he "accidentally" tried to bump into her and she elbowed him in the ribs and told him to "watch where you were going, you idiot."
or when Geto tried to give her a little "constructive criticism" about her disheveled and reading appearance she just looked at him, with cold, dead eyes, and said "you're emo, you don't get a say in how I look" that was WOW.
Phase one failed completely. reader definitely did not act as they had expected, she definitely had experience.
which led to them having a surprisingly brilliant idea.
What if instead of trying to tear her down, they used her as another member of the team?
Sure, they were used to just working with the two of them, but Reader had a clear advantage in several areas where they couldn't reach (reputation, physical fights, etc.).
It was worth trying.
I imagine that at first they went directly to the reader to tell her the terms of this deal, how they would help each other stay on top and thus not bother her, in exchange she could do whatever she wanted.
simple, concise and effective. Reader I accept the terms.
and the following weeks would be HELL for the students and teachers of the Jujutsu institution.
Geto was considerably the smartest of the group, he was the one who put together the heavy tactics and the one who selected the best victims, calculating and deceitful.
He was a relatively good student too, at least when Gojo and the reader forgot their homework (almost always) they could copy his (it's not like he could do anything after all).
Gojo was surprisingly less evil but much more immature and childish. He was like a man child.
He had intelligence, yes, but it was not conventional intelligence, he had great creativity when it came to being cruel. to give you insults. to make you feel like shit.
Apart from the fact that he came from a big family with a lot of money, all of the group's actions were swept under the rug.
and then was reader.
What could you say she became the muscle of the trio.
reader, with her history of fights and bad reputation, could make everyone so afraid to talk to anyone about their problems that it was ridiculous.
It was like a silent warning, say one word and I will beat you to a pulp.
Surprisingly, they adapted very well to Reader, although it was strange at first, since they were "business partners" but Reader was very quiet and reserved when she was not beating up.
Gojo was the most determined to change this, he was part of the group now after all! At least you have to learn to have a little fun.
Geto was more concerned upon learning of the reader's long history of previous schools, at first because it could mean she could leave at any moment, but upon closer inspection, it's more that she doesn't want to lose this new addition to the group.
The three of them skip classes from time to time, or force the reader to attend more so they don't expel her. How do you expect them to make life miserable for the first years without her? Woman, put your will!
They both even share food with her or steal bentos so that she eats more when she realizes that there really is absolutely nothing coming during class time, she has to stay nourished to take the beating! They won't let her kick ass until she eats >:(
If there is any group work that they do or do have to do, it is most likely that they will do it at Satoru's house, it is the largest and with materials, and it is also fun for him to see his two friends with astonished faces when they see his house every damn time.
although definitely when they both have a more serious problem, they usually go to where the reader lives, since her father is not there most of the time.
Suguru usually goes to the trouble of throwing away the old sake and beer bottles, along with the old bills scattered throughout the house.
Satoru limits himself to sniffing around whatever is within his reach, but at least he has the option of not opening what is closed. But when he sees the family photos or how dirty everything is along with the broken things.
It makes them have a better understanding of Because she is a reader like that, she allows herself to be somewhat vulnerable with them by showing them how she lives.
and surprisingly they appreciate it.
And it's not like it remains reader only receiving a certain type of comfort.
Reader will be a shitty brawler, but if you mess with her Squad, you're Dead.
not only in the school environment, but in life in general.
When Suguru goes through a depressive episode, she and Satoru combine neurons to try to make him feel better, whether with company, games, food, etc. Same goes when Satoru is feeling shitty.
I think that in general, the reader is the "heart" of the group. Having a complicated life, she knows better about emotions and how she would have wanted to be comforted, in a certain way.
(only applicable to this fictional case, this may vary. Don't take it seriously)
For the same reason, when she is especially down, it usually means a day of rest for everyone, a break from EVERYTHING.
from family, from school, from responsibilities, from the whole world.
Just go play at some arcade, win silly prizes and discuss who will take it home.
play basketball and have Satoru kick their butts because neither Suguru nor the reader invites him.
go on a motorcycle and race who is faster.
eat ice cream and sleep on the street.
and miss school the next day, they missed yesterday after all, what does one more day matter?
On these types of days they can forget what kind of people they are, the things they do, what has happened to them.
Yes, in short they are all three DEPLORABLE and horrible beings, but at least they are deplorable and horrible all together.

hibiki, kanade, yoruko, emma and teruya (dra or sdra2 ver, idm) with a younger sibling reader (only by 1-2yrs) headcanons? tysm,if u do this, btw!!!
thank you for requesting Anon!! Sorry it took me so long to write this lol. I avoided this for a while because I was scared I wouldn’t understand how to write siblings but it turned out pretty good. There was almost no spoilers in this, I just can’t help myself.
There is a line in the Teruya section that references a fic that I wrote and posted on AO3. So that’s what that is about lol.
WARNING: IMPLIED SPOILERS
~ Mod Haruhiko ✈️
Emma Magorobi
🎬 You were Emma’s adopted sibling (or technically she was the one adopted) and she adored you. You bought her a book full of puns when she first was adopted into your family and from then on, she’d try and surprise you every morning with a new pun.
🎬 You’d also most likely be a child star, which would cause Emma to be very protective of you. Cashing directors to not be as inclined to cast the two of you in the same projects.
🎬 Emma is glad to be in your family but she hates it so much when you take her clothes or jewelry or anything without her permission.
🎬 The two of you frequently get into petty arguements that have no reason to exist (like if sentient which fruit would win in a fight.)
🎬 Overall, Emma is a kind and sweet older sister to have. But the two of you will be having nonsensical issues every ten minutes.
Yoruko Kabuya
🍷 Depending on how much younger you are, she’ll treat you differently. If you are a lot younger than her, she’ll be protective of you and would actually treat you like a sibling, but if you were only a little bit younger, than you are her best friend. No expectations.
🍷 Getting home from work or school, she’ll immediately start talking to you about her peers or clients. Gossip is always the best with her.
🍷 Helping her dye/re-dye her hair is a lot of fun. And by helping Yoruko forces you to do it in return that she’ll do your chorus for the next two weeks. The two of you are always ruining the bathroom to have to be cleaned the next morning.
🍷 Yoruko will try to stay out of having any arguments with you but if you are just trying to pick one with her, she will get annoyed and will get into an argument.
🍷 Overall, Yoruko is a pretty cool big sister, there is a lot of gossip. And she will defend you always if you are getting bullied.
Otonokoji Twins
🎼 Hibiki will love you and despite making you always call her ‘big sis’ to have a level of importance over you. She will not insult you like she insults Kanade.
🎼 Kanade will also love you and view you as family but she would have some sort of resentment towards you if you were closer to Hibiki than she was.
🎼 They would definitely make you play piano or drums so that you could be apart of Melody Rythme. But you would not be a singer, that is Hibiki and only Hibiki’s job.
🎼 The twins are always on time with one another and unfortunately since you aren’t triplets, you don’t have their shared ability. This will lead to surprisingly Kanade to get mad at you when you are ahead or behind them.
🎼 If you’d ever try and tell Hibiki to calm down with insulting Kanade, she would definitely get pissed with you as her harassment was just a joke and you didn’t get what it’s like to have a twin.
🎼 If these girls are you older sisters, bless your heart. It’ll be an extremely traumatic ride. And there will be a ton of yelling, arguments and somewhat childish games.
Teruya Otori
💴 Teruya will pretend like he is an extremely responsible older brother. In front of your dad, he’ll always act really mature. But the second you two are out of adults you know’s sights, it gets fun.
💴 If you ever need help in math. Come to him, he might not be extremely talented in language arts but he excels in math. Due to him being a merchant and all.
💴 Teruya loves restocking the selves at the Otori mart with you, the two of you talking about random things or weird experiences with your friends. He has a weird one of him and a few friends getting kicked out of a bar at three in the afternoon.
💴 He enjoys just getting to be silly with you. Getting to do weird yet strangely fun stuff, like going out to ding dong ditch his friends house.
💴 Overall, Teruya is a goofy older brother who will take you out to do anything. And he likes to bring his friends over so you’ll get to meet them. And you’ll probably hit it off with one of his friend’s younger brother, Ryutaro.

Baby army here who has lurked for a little over a year. I keep seeing some jikookers saying that Stormblessed95 bullied WSJ and Serendipity off of Tumblr and I don't know why they are saying that. Like Stormblessed95 has always been nice to baby Army and others except when there are trolls. Even then I've never seen her attack another blogger like you seem to be doing. I mean you are calling people bad names. This seems like high school with the way you're calling her names and other people like that other anon minions who agree with her and not you. Isn't that what you are accusing her of? Did WSJ and Serendipity say that Stormblessed95 bullied them off the platform or is that what people who are mad at her assuming because she didn't agree with some things that those bloggers said. I don't understand why you and others are accusing her of that?
You're cute. ☺☺ I'm not being condescending i genuinely like your tone of voice in this ask. U come off really innocent and cute and I like it. 😁 But my dear if you've been Army for a little over a year You're not baby Army anymore. I've been in the fandom for the same amount of time as you. (I've known about BTS since 2015 but that's neither here nor there) So I was the baby Army that Storm was super nice to until she wasn't.
Tumblr media
I'm blocked so I can't show u receipts but here's the math;
Wsj tells us she talked to Hopemin on the phone. Stormie immediately reblogs one of her old posts about people buying into hearsay and made up stories with no proof. What happened after that u ask? People flocked to Wsj asks and also commented negatively under that post about how she was full of it. (Go check the post, its still up) I saw this with my own eyes btw no one told me. I even sent Storm an ask asking her how was she different from WSJ when her blog is about how much real Jikook is. U think I'm lying? Again, go check.
Serendipitybegins a numbers blog minding her own business, posting about Jikook and how keen they are on using numbers to communicate. Storm makes a post and people flocked to her being all mean and shit. When people DMed her she confirmed she couldn't do it anymore that the attacks were too much.
So while Storm might not have attacked this people personally there is a power she holds in the Jikook tumblr community and she knows this. Come on now.
Which leads me to the name calling, u don't like that I am calling her Regina George or equating her to Tkk_lives? What do these 2 have in common? They tell people to jump, and people ask how high? Storm may not be rallying people under her blog to go be shitheads but when she makes certain, need I say passive aggressive posts? people take that as permission to go after anyone doing whatever Storm has an issue with. If you don't think this is true you're choosing not to see it because its happening again as we speak.
Tumblr media
Thats u my dear 👆🏽
After V's unnecessary 2 minute live (I call it unnecessary because this mofo's phone was dying, Vhope were about to leave and were waiting for their taxis, so what was the point?) Jikookers called V out once again for his behaviour. Mind you, none of the bloggers i saw were exhibiting anti behaviour. What we have here dear anon is a difference in opinions. Jikookers have noticed a change in V since Gurumi showed up. Meanwhile Storm is moving like one of those people who think V is a Saint that can do no wrong. Like no?? Shit, I would kill for Jimin any day of the week but I can still call out some of his behaviour. Like I think its problematic how he treats Armys with kiddie gloves. Skipping all the kissing scenes when reacting to Like Crazy, apologising in advance coz women would be all over him in the choreo I mean... even his own boyfriend called him out for the whole unholy thing 😂😂 if you think these precious beings are not prone to doing things that make people side eye them, I'm side eying you
Forget insecure Jikookers. That group can kiss my natural black ass. But genuine Jikookers that I've seen dont hate V..they hate his behaviour. I keep saying this but that's a big difference. You can disagree with these Jkkrs, but to block everyone who feels this way, nigga please 🙄

Don’t worry about the late reply!! It was a LOT of lore to drop on you djdgdjjdj (I’ll be answering all your questions in order btw sorry if its formatted weird agh)
I ALSO WANT TO FIGHT ADELE!! Many times i’ve wondered why she became such a shitty person (she was originally a protagonist and then shit happened so-)
Also! The curse only happens if you have severed skin so bruises are ok- but yeah yeah she is now terrified of paper cuts/hj (she does not last for long jdhdjsh)
So the town/world of this story has monsters! Like cryptids and shit and basically the whole thing is that these spirits are known for bringing back the dead. And the people who study these monsters/spirits think that when these people come back, they’re like zombies, which isn’t true. So they have full legal permission to shoot/kill anyone who’s brought back to life by the little guys (so basically why janette has to stay out of town)
And. thats what the cult worships! The monsters that inhabit the world since they think those are god’s children, or something along those lines :]
Adele was always this way. She went down the school bully to cop pipeline so do with that info what you will- Her husband Josh and her were such a toxic couple in highschool (could go on forever about them if you would likeee)
Janette fully knows it was adele who started the fire. She did walk in on Adele starting said fire so yeah she knows. and wants to get revenge :D
OH BOY CARMELA. SHE’S NOT DOING WELL!! Ryan was out cold when his arm got chopped off so he didn’t know it was her for a whilee- but then she told him when they both got drunk one time and then they break up (technically?)
DUDE. As you can probs tell i love answering questions about my story so pls keep asking any questions you have!/nf :D
okok soo gonna try to put a timeline for janette and adele’s relationship/story! (in order)
-They both meet at the town’s pub (adele being there after an argument with josh, her husband, and janette being there after a problem at the church)
-They end up flirting, adele lying about being married and end up hooking up basically (but before that janette explained her being aro-spec to just put put there that she isn’t wanting anything romantic and adele pretended to listen)
-They then end up in a friends with benefits relationship (adele’s husband josh is oblivious to this she’s definitely not telling him) for a couple of months and janette says that she hopes they can be friends as well
-Adele refuses that, since she has very complex feelings about aro-spec people (adele your arophobia is showinggg/hj) and thought they had a romantic relationship(since she didn’t believe janette) and they don’t speak for a while after an argument over that
-During that time, Janette has to (forced by her mum’s ghost) carry out a ritual of sorts to solidify a next heir to run the cult when janette’s dead and she doesn’t want to give up her nephew so she chooses a girl named Carmela (i have lore for her too) and due to the prophecy (that this ritual is based off) carmela has to hurt/kill a loved one, and it ends up being her boyfriend ryan beckett, adele’s son!
-This ends up with him loosing an arm and adele immediately knows who’s behind this (janette) and decides to carry out her own form of revenge (of her son and herself since she thinks janette was manipulative in their short lived relationship- adele darling stop making things worse)
-Said revenge ends up being burning down the cult building and Janette ends up being in it when that happens and she burns alive (uh oh) and adele thinks that’s been taken care of
-Until Janette comes back alive thanks to weird monster/spirits that give her life basically except with a catch- which is that if she cuts her skin in anyways, blue flowers and vines will burst through her skin and probably kill her again
-She’s forced to stay out of the town since if she walked back in, she’d be killed on sight (weird rules that i can explain) so she has to figure out how to kill adele
AND THATS ALL I HAVE! FOR NOW! So basically yeahh adele is kind of a shitty person!!! I have more lore for all the characters so if you have any questions pls do send them my way! (i live for questions about my lore/hj) :D these characters stay in my head aghh toxic yuri beloved uhmm okok byee this was longer than i thought oopsies
(sry this took a hot sec to reply to)
oooh boy.. this truly is VERY toxic yuri... i want to fight adele ngl. as an aromantic person, i am staring at her and Judging.
adele is on some shit.. sgdhdnf
ARSON. ARSON AS REVENGE 👍👍 IS YOUR SONS ARM GONE?? ARE YOU AROPHOBIC AND VERY GAY?? THE SOLUTION IS ARSON.
gods i feel bad for josh... he knows Nothing. poor guy.
OOH THATS FUN.. (janette being cursed like that). are bruises and shit okay?? if its severed skin specifically... oh boy yeah shes not gonna last long is she.. paper is her mortal enemy...
whys she gotta stay out of town?
ALSO WHAT DOES THE CULT WORSHIP. I AM SO CURIOUS. IS THE EXISTENCE OF THESE SPIRITS WIDESPREAD KNOWLEDGE, OR JUST SHIT THAT THIS CULT KNOWS?
was adele insane before she met janette or was she always this way
does janette know it was adele who started the fire...
WHAT ARE CARMELAS THOUGHTS ON ALL THIS (esp the having to fuck up her boyfriend... do they break up afterwards.. does he know it was her...)
i have so many questions /pos

“I never said I was a good influence.”
From this meme!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
❛ ... Huh ? ❜
Well, that conversation took a sharp turn, to say the least. Then again, around the supreme leader? It'd be a lie to say it's possible to predict where things would go. Or maybe the pianist was simply too naive to think there would be a change of heart coming from the shorter male through her words. Despite the attitude, the lies, and the concerning interest in their current predicament, she still went out of her way to converse with the other. In a sense, it was a failed attempt to try and understand the other. Perhaps there were layers to his personality that she needed to dig up, so she dragged him into a conversation as she went on and on about how she believed he was a good person. That deep down underneath the basket of lies to deceit, there's a nice person underneath. And then, that's where she slipped up... ❛ And I'm sure people look up to you, too ! ❜ Is what brought them to where they were now. In an attempt to go on about how he's probably likable and that doesn't need to make up an evil personality to make others fear him soley because of his talent— Which was her belief when it came to his actions, considering his childish way of doing so— He suddenly cut through her words with that simple sentence, causing her entire monologue to fall apart. Not a good influence? What is he talking about? No no, this was probably another lie of his to make himself seem threatening or something. Though, the way he looked at her was rather... Creepy once he said that— Instinctively, she stepped away, tilting her head in confusion. His way of talking was cryptic. His mannerisms were hard to pick on, and her blind trust in others was her biggest flaw. It was one of the few times she couldn't get a read on Kokichi. Is he upset? Happy? Was he messing with her? He wasn't and will never be threatening to her but... Not being able to understand him scared her beyond comprehension. He really was the embodiment of a lie.
❛ What're you... Talking about , Ouma-kun ? ❜
Tumblr media
The hint of confusion in the blonde pianist's voice was rather clear. Eyes locked on the other. She could feel a sweat drop rolling down her cheek. This sudden change took her off gaurd, and by god she was not mentally prepared for it.
Though despite everything, she didn't budge one bit from her spot. Determination and stubbornness to understand the boy before her prevented her from dropping the conversation. She knew that with him, things will surely take a turn. A very... Very confusing, headache inducing turn. Despite the twisted personality the other seemed to possess, Kaede was convinced that the liar had motives for what he does: Why he insists on participating in this game. Why he believes working together and trusting each other is a one-way ticket to death. And she was willing to do everything- even if it was beyond her powers- to help him feel safe. To be able to trust others... To open his eyes, that everything is okay, and that this killing game was something he shouldn't treat like... Well... A game. And in order to do that, she needed to break through his shell... if there's one to begin with, that is.

vixen | nakamoto yuta
Tumblr media
pairing: kitsune!yuta x female!reader
words: 5.1k
summary: every year, you visit the fox who claims to know everything about you.
genre: fantasy/folklore, fluff, angst(?)
warnings: suggestive, mention of past bullying, one excessively flirty nakamoto yuta
song rec(s): clear and sunny - sou (cover)
a/n: this is for all you furries who aren’t quite furries yet muah (im joking) but aaaa love exploring folklore and also i should put in a disclaimer that not every aspect adheres to the original tales of the kitsune <3 i did not proofread btw and i am very sorry
Tumblr media
Some things never change.
Examples: boys, shitty friends, death, and the scent of nostalgia. To you, that very scent happens to be the earthy smell of chrysanthemums and a faint waft of spices from the kitchen in your parents’ house. To you, October is not just another month. To you, there is one more thing that never changes and it is not your belief in old ghost stories.
Around this time of the year, the autumn festival begins in a flurry of vibrant red smudges and a whiff of excitement, in streets suddenly brought alive. The skies are candied orange, and it’s the only time you aren’t tired of home. This time is also when you find yourself right in the clutches of the one demon you swore you’d avoid for the rest of your life. You swore. It’s not your fault that said demon is a little, let’s say, tempting.
Tempting in the most vexing, infuriating way possible. Bewitching, cruel, seducing—all that foxes are and all that you’ve heard of them could not have prepared you for an encounter. Folklore runs deep through you. The memories of a certain fox-boy run deeper.
It is not the festival you are here for.
You yawn, leaning against the wooden door frame of the shop. It would be inappropriate to fall asleep on the job, especially since there are a bunch of children staring idly at you. You close your mouth quickly, resting the back of your hand against your lips. Late afternoon is an easy time to fall asleep. You have half the mind to snarl at the kids to scare them off, their gaze getting on your nerves and when you think you will, you turn the other way. Manners come first to you, no matter how temperamental you get.
The procession has gathered a crowd. Some shouts and squeals from the children make you slump further. At least they’re having fun with whatever stupid game they’re playing. You breathe in the autumn air. A part of you wonders if you simply let your feet lead you down the stairs, you’d be free of this entire ordeal. You shake your head. Temptation has always been hard to resist—never meant to be resisted but you’re much older now. There is dignity to be answered.
October is mild—your grandmother’s shop is still on the verge of collapse, your mother still yells at you for misplacing kitchen utensils and your old friends from school still gossip about who you’re dating. It’s like the script never changes; people change the meaning, twist their words in the same old pattern. If you were a little less behaved, you would have poured your drink over their heads yesterday.
You clench your jaw. It’s always an ‘Oh, you’re so attractive’ and an ‘I wish I could date as many men as you do but I’m loyal to my boyfriend’, or even a ‘Must be nice being surrounded by boys all the time’. You know what they mean. It’s not the first time you’ve been called a fox, and you don’t think it’ll be the last—at least until you decide to stop letting your hometown suffocate you. Maybe you’ll accept what they say. You have heard of what hatred left unchecked can do.
If you’re honest, you haven’t been with too many men. If you’re a little more honest, none of them have ever made your heart race.
You watch the children play with a keen eye, their painted masks ridiculously large for their faces and in brightly coloured clothes contrasting well with the town. You might not be allowed to fall asleep, but there’s nothing against closing your eyes for a second or two.
The image of glinting yellow eyes and a fanged smile pop up and you quickly open your eyes. You don’t know why your heart beats so loud at the mere thought of him, thoughts in which his lips are full and painted red, and his bright smile is stretched upon them. Sometimes, the thought of him is in gentle washes, his hand fixing your hair, or a flirty smile when you dare stumble upon him on a particularly sleepless night. You shake your head to get rid of the thought. That is not love. Some sort of embarrassing attraction, maybe. However, the friendship you have is worse.
“I see you’re a slacker as always.”
Your grandmother’s voice breaks you out of your cycle of thoughts and you’re almost grateful.
“I sold approximately zero sweets,” you snort. “Why can’t we just do away with the shop?”
“You’re starting to sound like your mother,” your grandma calls from behind one of the counters, distaste ringing clear in her voice.
You sigh. “Fine, but… you work way too hard to make these for them to not sell.”
“Maybe they would sell if a certain little lady would stay and help.”
You groan, leaning your head back. “You know I have work in the city.”
Your grandmother waves her hand about, dismissing your reasoning. She fiddles around in the shadows for a bit before coming forward with more boxes than she should be able to hold.
“You don’t have to feel too guilty. Yuta’s been helping out,” your grandmother informs fondly. “You could learn a thing or two from him.”
You’re not the superstitious sort and yet still, your heart beats faster. For him, or for the bad omens foxes bring to a household—you don’t know.
You scoff instead. “He’s not as great a guy as you think, grandma. He can be really mean too!”
“Oh, I doubt that. Have you seen his smile? Impossible.” Your grandmother waves it off before drawing nearer, voice hushed without reason. “Have you thought about it then? He is handsome, isn’t he?”
“Grandma.”
You’re not sure what old women go through in their youth that makes them something of a matchmaker in their later years. You think the whole ordeal is messed up. There is no way you’re going to stick your nose into your grandchildren’s love life; it’s gross.
“These should be enough for the children, no?” Your grandmother asks and you look up.
“You’re giving them away for free?” you question, furrowing your eyebrows. “And you talk about bad business.”
She places her hand on her hip, pointing an accusatory finger. “You’re going to lecture your grandmother?”
You raise your hands up in defeat, standing up to help her with the red boxes of acorn candy and paper wraps of roasted chestnuts. You end up with the entire load in your arms, your grandmother happily shuffling about as she locks up the store.
You turn sharply at the surprised sound behind you. The evening has settled in and glowing lanterns bring forward the evidence, the darkening streets flooding with round droplets of light.
But it is not the festival you are looking at.
Yuta looks somewhat serene, your cheeks heating up despite yourself. You look at him with bated breath, hoping the boxes obscure your face enough to make the vaguely positive emotions less evident. The dark red jacket draped over his shoulder does not look out of place—in fact, he fits in so well you would’ve mistaken him for another face in the crowd if he weren’t stupidly gorgeous. He looks at you with no strong emotion in the eyes before breaking into a smile; and when his hand strokes the top of your head as a greeting, he seems fond. He always does.
“Grandma,” he calls with his best smile, turning to the old woman.
Your grandmother doesn’t need any more convincing of his character.
“Oh, there you are! Did I tell you (name)’s back? I wanted to break the news to you earlier. Ah…I must have forgotten.”
You glance from Yuta to her. Is this another one of her tricks and tests?
“She’s always here this time of the year,” he responds, laughing politely.
“Ah, you remembered,” she says, eyes crescent as she smiles back. “Help her with the boxes. The city has made her so frail.”
“I’m good,” you choke on the words, hurriedly moving away and almost dropping one of the boxes.
You slip on your sandals and scurry off faster, wishing he’d just stay behind. He always has. The air makes you shiver but you’re adamant; and it’s not the only trait of yours to make relationships fail.
“You know, you should be nicer to old friends.”
You try not to react when Yuta takes the boxes from you, matching your pace almost effortlessly.
“I thought foxes ran away once they’re found out,” you snap, reluctantly letting him take the packages.
Yuta rolls his eyes. “I see you still aren’t very fond of me.”
“Not when you’re tricking my grandmother like this,” you hiss.
“You call helping trickery?” he retaliates.
“Foxes bring bad business,” you mutter.
“I’m the reason your grandmother’s business is somewhat above the water.”
You sigh, exasperated. There’s no point in wasting your breath. You look away, crossing your arms as you walk, the silence between the two of you suddenly awkward. Even so, you’re not going to open your mouth for him.
“Would you two slow down?” your grandmother calls, voice weary. “We’re already there.”
The two of you halt in your tracks immediately, taking mellow steps back to her. She looks over the two of you with furrowed eyebrows and you try to think of an explanation when she starts laughing.
“Oh, I don’t mind the two of you flirting,” she says, littered with slow laughter. “Just make sure the food is where it’s supposed to be.”
You’re about to refute when Yuta laughs, the sound still boyish and lively. “Of course. (name) missed me so much this year, she couldn’t help herself.”
You give him a pointed look which he ignores, deliberately or not. “We- I wasn’t—”
“Grandmother, if you’ll give us permission,” he interrupts, settling the packages on the table by the food stall and smiling wide. “We’ll go enjoy the festival now.”
She bobs her head in affirmation and Yuta grabs your hand to pull you into the bustling street, your silent plea for help ignored by your smug grandmother.
“What are you doing?” you ask, slipping your hand from his. “You aren’t- You aren’t trying to eat my liver, are you?”
“Why the liver? Can’t I have the rest of you too?”
It’s not like you were particularly alarmed but his response makes you feel a flush of embarrassment.
“It’s been a year since I last saw you,” he says before his voice turns a shade cooler. “Have you thought about my proposal?”
You fall silent. The overthinking started last year too. Your thoughts and dreams, so easily pervaded by him and all it took was one sentence.
“We should get married.”
“Why did you even think I’d agree to that?” You try not to get too flustered. He knows all your petty weaknesses and you’d rather not have them on display for him to stare and pick at. “What the fuck would I get out of marrying you?”
Yuta whistles. “I like your tongue. But—yes, to answer your question, you’d get a very handsome and capable husband. Your bed will always be warm and oh, speaking of beds—”
You clamp your hand over his mouth at the suggestive look he sends, worried about being spotted by one of your school friends. Ah, right—friends, the very same people that smell of jealousy and won’t miss any opportunity to throw a jab your way. Friends. You can’t believe you’re still afraid of their judgement.
“And why do you want to get married to me?” you ask, looking into his eyes.
There’s a pause, filled with the chatter of the crowd.
“You look like you’re afraid of finding someone,” he speaks finally, ignoring your question. “Or is it the other way around?”
You roll your eyes, ready to walk off when he grabs your wrist to pull you closer to his chest. It draws some looks from nearby people, your eyes darting from face to face in fear. You take a deep breath and look at Yuta again, almond eyes distracting.
“People will think we’re lovers,” you whisper, almost a hiss.
“What’s wrong with that?”
You breathe out in disbelief. “You’re really something.”
“What? Why did you always come to meet me then? Behind the keyaki tree?”
“It wasn’t for you,” you lie quickly. “I had nothing better to do.”
Pining after a fox? You could never have feelings for him. Even so, your answer comes off childish and silly, and somehow he’s the only one to be able to draw that side of you—the you that is messy and unprepared.
Yuta smiles in return. “You think people can’t fall in love with us the same way they fall in love with most everything.”
It’s a statement, not a question.
“How conservative of you,” he leaves with an airy remark, but not before urging you to follow him.
The sizzling sound of food being fried and the knocking, clicking sound of children playing games, all these forgotten sounds grow louder and for a second, if only you let yourself, you could close your eyes and it would be just like your first date.
No. It’s different. You look up, eyes trailing over Yuta’s back, his golden hair, how his figure moves with ease and confidence.
It is different.
You raise an eyebrow at the box of takoyaki Yuta shoves towards you, an expecting look across his face.
“You like this, don’t you?” he asks, an uncharacteristic hesitation in his voice.
You hum in response, taking the box from him and saving yourself the trouble of asking whether he paid for it or simply charmed his way through.
“Eh, no thank you?” he complains. “How polite.”
You scrunch your nose to accompany an exaggerated smile and he laughs, the two of wandering over the asphalt streets. Your hands are close enough to brush—and if a twenty-something year-old woman can feel jittery because of it, hands truly are meant to share warmth. The smell of candy and caramel fills the air, making you smile. You’ve saved enough for the taste of home, you think.
The taste of home.
Inevitably, the thought of kissing your companion crosses your mind and you stop in your tracks. Whatever. It must be natural when someone as attractive is beside you. Those aren’t feelings. You curse yourself for feeling like a teenager again.
The festival grounds aren’t as shabby as you expect them to be. The city,—if you could call this one—stops here and the earth spreads out to the forest behind. The crowd also thins, and you take a fresh breath. They’re selling old books in the corner, but no one seems to be there.
“The raccoon dogs,” Yuta whispers in your ear, with an arcane smile. “Want to visit those rascals?”
You roll your eyes. He knows you’ve heard one too many folktales for a lifetime, seen one too many. It’s time to go home, especially now that the thought of thanking him crosses your mind. You’re about to turn when your shoulder crashes into someone else’s. A surprised, syrupy smile greets you, which you cannot return for the first few moments. Yui’s smile wavers and you flash her a quick smile. A friend. Her arm is looped through her lover’s, the one she never shuts up about and suddenly the urge to pour water over her head returns.
Yuta glances from you to her before pressing his lips together, as if suppressing laughter. You’re almost offended when Yui laughs flippantly.
“You’re on a date too? I knew you couldn’t stand spending the festival alone,” she says, tugging her lover closer.
People have always told you who you are and what you do. As if they know better.
You smile awkwardly. “It’s… actually not—”
“Oh, don’t be shy.” She gently pats your shoulder before leaning in. “He’s a real catch. As expected from you. You can never leave the boys alone.”
You know what she really means. You’ve heard the same words in high school when she was shoving you into a wall behind the school. The sickening smile is still on her face.
You gulp, feeling sixteen again. The lack of people around somehow makes it more awkward and you’re about to excuse yourself when suddenly, Yuta bumps into Yui and his warm drink spills over her left shoulder. Your eyes widen, more in confusion. When did he leave? You don’t doubt his ability to sneak past people, but surely you couldn’t have been so enraptured in your own feelings that you barely noticed.
“I’m so sorry,” Yuta says, voice honeyed with surprise.
Yui looks like she’s about to explode when she looks at him, her expression dropping to a calmer one almost immediately.
It’s an easy look to recognize. They always have it when they first meet Yuta, whether it’s the smile that’s too dazzling or the pretty round eyes.
How persuasive, those eyes.
“Ah… I must have not seen you,” she says faintly, and Yuta’s smile widens.
Before he can stir up more trouble, you slip your arm into his and pull him away, not caring for another polite apology to an old, almost nameless face.
“I was having fun,” Yuta complains, voice still smug and calm.
You glare at him and it only seems to add fuel to the fire, to whatever cold fire dances at his fingertips.
“You’re happy, right? Don’t look at me like that. You should reward me.”
You don’t respond, looking away and hoping to get at least a word in about how troublesome he is every single time you visit. Yuta has other plans, however. Leaning his head to look you in the eye, he maintains a distance which looks perfectly decent but feels less than so.
“How about a kiss? I deserve one, don’t I?” He moves his head closer to yours, making you shy away.
You grab him by the belt and pretend to not catch a glimpse of the pleased look on his face as you drag him into a secluded part by the forest.
It’s quieter here, so much that you can almost hear your own heart drumming in your chest, and the faint light of the distant festival grounds doesn’t help much at all. It’s dark as dusk, and you can only make out Yuta’s jawline and a faint smirk over his lips. You think that if a fox ever wanted to eat your liver, this would be the perfect spot.
“You did something,” you finally utter the words. “You did something to me.”
“Why do you think I did something? Do you mean love?” he responds with a cheeky smile. “This means you’ve been thinking about me? How cute—”
“Yuta, stop it,” you warn.
“Or what? You should stop me yourself.”
You grab the lapels of his jacket, the cloth bunching as your knuckles turn white. The anger you feel isn’t the first of its kind—it’s just a little funny how it’s always Yuta every time, making you remember the burning feeling time and time again. You find yourself unable to respond.
“Oh, don’t hold back,” he provokes, leaning in.
You push at his chest in exasperation, but he grabs your wrists before you can retract your hands.
“Scared?” he whispers.
You pull apart anyway, a scowl over your lips. “You’re as annoying as ever. Don’t you have anyone else to bother?”
“Ooh! Sharp claws. You’d be lovely as my fox-bride.” he teases.
Your face flares with heat. “I’m not your… I’m not a fox.”
“I didn’t say a fox, I said—”
“I know what you said,” you snap, massaging your wrist so you don’t have to look at him.
Yuta falls quiet for a moment, voice lower when he speaks again.
“Is it so nasty to be called a fox? There are worse things, you know.”
You scoff, growing increasingly annoyed. “Of course you’d say that. I hate it. I hate this town. I hate foxes and I hate you.”
Yuta places a hand over his chest, gasping with no emotion. Your eyes linger over his long, painted nails a little longer before you meet his eyes. A part of you regrets saying the words but you couldn’t help it. The shroud choking your hometown makes you want to scream at the top of your lungs every time you’re here. You hate this place.
But you don’t hate him, after all.
You try to clear yourself of the thought. A gentle gust of wind brings you back to the present, Yuta still glancing at you with no giveaway to what he’s feeling.
“You wouldn’t make a terrible fox though,” he says, eyes sharp. “Don’t they know you’re a vixen already? How many livers will you eat?”
You suck in a breath, tears stinging at your eyes. However, it’s not like you to get so easily affected by him. No. No, somehow that doesn’t make sense either. Those words do hurt from Yuta and you’re not sure if it’s just because he's the only one you didn’t expect them from.
“You…”
“What? Aren’t you going to lash at me again? You’re so predictable.”
His voice is calm despite your obvious annoyance and you feel flames lick at your heart. Your hand moves before you can think, about to meet his cheek when he grabs your wrist. You struggle, trying to pull free but to no avail and you use the other hand to hit him in the chest. Unsurprisingly, it doesn’t bother him and that same feline smile curves up his lips.
You feel something you haven’t before, a warm growl at the pit of your stomach.
You push with all your strength, catching Yuta off guard and he stumbles backward but not before pulling you into him. Consequently, either of you lose footing and land on the grass with a sudden thud, Yuta’s side pressed against yours. His hands still clutch your wrist, and he shifts to hover over you.
“We used to wrestle like this as a litter,” he says, erupting into full laughter. “Ah, memories. I don’t even know if they’re alive or dead now.”
Yuta is much stronger than he looks, and he’s taken your tantrum as a source of amusement much to your infuriation. He has your hands pinned back, eyes unaffected as he scans over your face. You try to shift but there’s just too much weight on you. You breathe slowly, chest rising and falling in time with his. His earrings sway gently in the wind, dangling a few inches above you—he’s pretty, so pretty. Admitting defeat has never been your forte but now that your senses are gathering again, you feel a flush of embarrassment for losing your temper.
Or perhaps, it is something else when you register the lack of distance between your noses.
“Playtime’s over,” Yuta coos. “You’re kinda cute when you’re losing.”
He tilts his head, an adoring smile over his lips. For a moment, they’re all you see.
Can a fox comfort you? Can a fox make you feel loved on the darkest of nights? Your mind races with questions your heart does not want to answer.
Yuta leans in to close the distance and despite every nerve in your body, you turn your head away. You can hear him gulp, the following moments painfully quiet before he gets up. Your breath is soft and shallow, lying on the ground till you get enough courage to sit up.
You almost gasp. His tails are clearer under the dim moonlight, all nine of them golden and luxurious. The light hitting his face isn’t any less flattering and once again you are reminded of how handsome he is, fairytale or not.
Yuta looks uncomfortable, and that’s a first for you.
“I’m sorry,” you say, though you don’t know why.
He waves his hand dismissively, annoyed.
“Yuta,” you take a step forward.
“I see the way you look at me,” he says quietly, “Is it not want?”
You fall silent, biting your lip so you don’t retort violently. He doesn’t look particularly malicious when he says that but you do not want to give him the satisfaction of an answer yet.
He quietens for a moment before a look of curiosity flashes across his features.
“What is it then?” he asks. “Is it a secret? Foxes love secrets. Tell me.”
Despite every bone in your body burning up, you find it in yourself to laugh.
“I don’t think I could keep a secret from you if I tried,” you finally say, before bursting into soft laughter again.
Yuta looks at you puzzled, lips parted while he stands frozen as if he were a painting. A daunting, reckless, heavenly painting.
“It’s not want,” you answer quietly. “It’s more than that. Even if I hated it. I like you.”
Yuta’s ears perk up at your confession. “So- so you admit, then? You are interested?”
“I could blame you for this, you know?” You shrug, hugging yourself once the night starts to feel cold again. Yuta begins to take off his jacket when you stop him, gently pressing your palm against his chest.
“You’re a fox, after all,” you whisper. “Like me. What they think of me.”
Yuta purses his lips. “Does it really hurt you? No, wait. Did they- did they—”
“Now, you tell me,” you cut him off. “Why do you insist on getting married—to me?”
There’s a pause. The crickets chirp a merry tune despite the leisurely darkness of the night.
“You’re not terrible,” he says, nonchalantly.
You glare at him and he raises his hands in defeat. He looks wearier the more you look at him.
“I want to grow old,” he mumbles after a long pause. “Properly.”
You hold your breath.
“And you want to do it with me?”
Another flower blooms in your chest, as if he hasn’t planted a garden in there already. The lights from the festival flicker down, the lanterns burning brighter in the distance. He glances at them for a moment, your eyes still fixated on him.
The tails glow even brighter in the dark, as if gold in broad daylight. You’ve always been curious about him and his kind, all the stories; but he says he’s too old to remember if you ask.
You reach out to touch one of the tails, wondering if the fur is as warm as it looks. They’re pale and captivating, but they look so soft—they shouldn’t belong to an animal so vicious. Is he, though? Is he all that you think he is or have all these years failed you? If anything, he’s quite probably not as much a fox as you are, you think bitterly.
The fur is warm, but the realization is short-lived.
A short growl leaves the corner of his mouth. Yuta glares at you like he was stolen from and yet, you do not move your hand. Some part of you wants to aggravate him further.
“I’m not a pet,” he snaps. “Stop that.”
“You should stop me yourself,” you mimic his voice.
Yuta’s shoulders relax, and he looks down but you can still see the trembling smile on his face. It’s the way he looks at you, you think to yourself, maybe that's the reason after all.
“Don’t look at me like that,” you say, feeling warmer than the autumn night should allow.
“Like what?” he asks, still smiling.
You look away.
“You’re not too fox-like, you know?” you mumble. “You’re just annoying. And flirty. And annoying.”
Yuta chuckles, before pressing his palm to the top of your head.
“And you’re lovely.”
You give in to the gesture of affection, leaning your head to press against his shoulder.
“Why do you even do all this? What do you get out of it?” you say, voice muffled. He hears you clearly, however.
“Because I love you,” he responds, as if coming to terms with it himself. “More than you think.”
There is no joke, no flirtation to his tone, no decoration upon his words. It’s plain, and laid bare. And sometimes, simplicity is scariest.
You pull back, lips pulled into a frown. The air is cold once more; the longing for warmth flowing into you. The silence is worse.
“You don't believe foxes can fall in love,” he states softly upon a wavering smile. “I knew that. Of course.”
A part of him believes it too.
“I…” you begin, and for the first time, you are afraid of promises in the name of love. You are the one making them now.
“I’ll believe you,” you whisper, “I’ll believe you so please… please take care of me.”
You place your palm against his cheek, his skin bewitchingly warm.
“Only if you take care of me,” he whispers back, leaning in.
This time, you do not move.
The lovers’ kiss you’d been searching for—lovers’ warmth, lovers’ comfort—all of it comes crashing down once Yuta tightens his arm around your waist, the other hand resting gently at the base of your neck. He kisses with the right amount of pressure, the vague taste of sweet berries in his mouth.
You used to fear his touch, like he would eat you whole; even if they have been gentle, always. This time, you might as well let him. He presses his lips from your cheek to jaw to neck, lingering at each spot enough to make you clutch at his shirt tighter, taking in short gasps of breath. You kiss for a little longer, like time means nothing.
“We should go back,” you whisper, pulling apart.
Yuta kisses you again, the distance unacceptable.
“Yuta—”
He kisses you once more, your calls falling on deaf ears.
Finally, after another long kiss, he pulls apart enough to rest his forehead against yours, eyes still closed.
“It must have been hard for you,” he mumbles.
“You don’t have to worry about that,” you scoff.
“Foxes are faithful lovers, you know?” he insists.
You laugh. “What do you mean?”
“It means I’ll follow you everywhere.”
He stands up straight, his thumb stroking your cheek as he bites back a smile.
“I don’t think we should get back tonight,” he suggests all of a sudden. “We could book a hotel. That’s the place you use these days, right? I’m sure your grandmother will understand your absence—”
You groan, resting your forehead against his shoulder and he presents a delighted laugh in return. It is warm by his side; he is warm. You find it easy to forget the failures in love, the loneliness of a lover that isn’t meant to be yours. Folktales are just long tales, after all. You smile to yourself.
You should’ve known—it was the fox all along.

I kinda want to know more about Lydia and Hazel... their names just go really well together? also lesbians? (btw what does hazel look like? lowkey want to draw her)
Okay okay okay! I haven’t finished the full concept drawing, but this is Hazel!
Tumblr media
Her hair is pastel pink, and she’s got green eyes!
Anyway, onto the headcannons!!
So Hazel!!
She’s basically the embodiment of pastel GF
Her aesthetic is a mix of harajuku, kawaiicore, Lolita, and kidcore.
She’s just,,, bubbly baby
She likes anime!
Her favorites are Sweetness and Lightning, Sailor Moon, and Ouran Highschool Hostclub!
So onto her and Lydia!
When Lydia first walked into Spanish class on her first day, she met eyes with Hazel and her heart immediately went “!!!!!!”
I guess her teacher must’ve known that Lydia would’ve liked her before she did because she was seated right next to her
They started talking, Hazel trying to explain to her what Spanish class was usually like, what the students were like, and half of Lydia listened. The other half was just straight up 💞💖💕💗💘♥️💓
Lydia got pretty settled in after about 2 or 3 weeks, and got used to how everything worked. Even then, she couldn’t get used to Hazel. Every time she saw her felt like the first time seeing her. Just pure bliss.
Little did she know, Hazel felt the same way. She just didn’t know if Lydia was The Big Gay™ or not. Oh honey.
One day, Hazel complained about how she couldn’t understand the unit and Lydia offered to help her study. Of course, they studied at Hazel’s house because they can’t exactly study at Lydia’s. (Thanks, BJ.)
After Lydia tells her parents that she’s going over to a friend’s house to study and gets permission, they head to her house.
They head inside, Lydia meets Hazel’s parents (they’re very sweet) and younger brothers Mason and Dallas (4 and 7), they head up to her room.
It’s… very pink, to say the least. Anime posters everywhere, stuffed animals on shelves, little accessories carefully put away, cartoon strawberry sheets.
It’s very… her.
And Lydia loves that.
So they get to studying, which lasts about maybe 20 minutes or half an hour before Hazel asks if she wants a snack. As a thank you for helping her, and because she wants a snack too. Lydia says “sure,” and she yeets down to the kitchen.
When she gets down, she’s gotta give herself a little pep-talk.
“Alright, Hazel. There’s a cute girl in your room. She’s helping you learn Spanish. She wants snacks, so you gotta give her snacks. Quick, what are some good study snacks? Apple slices? Panda cookies?? Iced tea???”
She does a little dance to pump herself up, punching the air dramatically and just shaking her head all around.
She brings up all of the above on a little tray.
(It’s peach iced tea, in case you guys are wondering!)
Lydia’s just kinda sitting on the bed, looking at all the stuff in the room and messing around with the hem of her skirt.
They continue studying, enjoying their snacks and drinks. Eventually, Lydia mentions the fact that her and her mom used to have little tea parties, and how she used to dress up in a little tiara and feather boa.
Hazel is about to ask her about it, when she says “You know, there are things I wish I could have told her when she was still alive…”
Hazel just. Freezes. Quick, think of words!
“Like what?”
Smooth. Real smooth.
She immediately face palms.
“Sorry, that was rude-“ “no no, it’s fine! I like talking about my mom and stuff! It helps to keep her memory alive, you know?” “I guess so…”
they sit in awkward silence.
“I kinda wish I could have came out to my mom…”
YES!! SHES GAY!! Inappropriate time to celebrate, but yes!! Gay!!
“Oh… I still haven’t really come out to my parents, if that makes you feel any better?” “Oh, what are you, if you don’t mind me asking?” “I’m bi…” “oh cool, I’m just… a plain ol lesbian.” Lydia does jazz hands for added effect.
Hazel chuckles, putting her hand on the bed. Lydia rested her hand on top of hers, smiling and blushing. Hazel put her free hand on Lydia’s cheek, and leaned in.
Lydia leaned in as well, and…
They accidentally bumped noses. Damn it.
They immediately pull away before falling into a fit of giggles and try again. It works this time.
After a little while, they clean up and put everything back. Lydia waves goodbye to Hazel and gives her a little kiss on the cheek before leaving.
When she gets home, she’s got a bounce in her step that she hadn’t had since before her mom was diagnosed.
She’s giddy, and humming as she settles in at home.
At dinner, everyone looks at each other for possible answers while Lydia is just smiling, enjoying her dinner. She’s unusually nice to Delia. Not that she hasn’t been nice to Delia since they came to terms after the wedding. But she’s… a lot nicer than she usually is. It’s sickeningly sweet.
Everyone eats in silence for a few minutes before Charles decides to break it.
“Are you alright, Lydia? You seem unusually happy. Delia, can you take her temperature?” “No no, I’m fine! Really!”
Barbra joins in from where she’s drying the dishes as Adam washes them.
“Oh, I think she has a case of the L-word!” “Lesbian!” “Juicebox, no, she means love…” “oh!! Yeah, that makes more sense.”
She doesn’t tell anyone until later at night after Charles and Delia have gone to bed. She sneaks up to the attic, and tells the Maitlands she has something important to say.
They immediately drop what they’re doing, and ask if she’s being bullied. They’ll ask BJ to help, and they’d look the other way. She laughs and says no, she’s not being bullied.
“Oh, then what is it?”
She’s quiet for a moment with a huge smile on her face before she says “I had my first kiss today!”
They’re immediately gasp and celebrate with her. Barbra and Lydia are bouncing up and down in excitement (but gently so they don’t wake the Deetz’s), Adam’s trying to give Lydia pointers on what to do on dates. She’s just happy chirping and flapping her hands.
She doesn’t tell Beetlejuice until later, and his reaction is exactly as you’d expect.
“You know if she breaks your heart, I’m gonna make her shit herself in fear, right?” “Please don’t…”
Once it’s official, they go on little dates!
To the park, ice cream shops, the mall, and to a little bakery between their houses!
They’ll usually get macaroons and a couple of cupcakes, then sit on a bench outside, holding hands and eating their snacks while just enjoying each other’s company.
Soft GFs,,,
When it comes to birthdays, anniversaries, and Valentine’s Day? They go all out.
Once, for Valentine’s Day, Hazel got Lydia a sword. A full working sword. She decorated the sheath with little bat and black cat stickers.
Lydia almost started crying, because now she could make the “is she... ya know... *sword swinging motion* a lesbian?” Joke.
(Also it’s a sick ass sword that she keeps next to her bed. So she sees it when she first wakes up and thinks of Hazel, also because she can threaten BJ with it.)
In return, Lydia made her a basket with stuffed animals, her favorite snacks, those cat ears that move with your emotions, a few pairs of fuzzy socks, and a sweater that Barbra helped her make.
She wears it all the time.
In conclusion, they’re baby!

The Promised Party Cat Callout (Long Post!)
Here we go, y’all. I’m not gonna go all-out with the salt and vitriol typical of my longer posts, because... this isn’t about me being salty. This is about highlighting the issues with Mod Party Cat of the fictionkinfessions blog.
Nor is it intended to bully or chase Party Cat off of Tumblr. Yes, this is a callout post; no, it’s not an invitation to attack the blog with hate or stalk their sideblogs. And no, it’s not just my personal opinion, which we will get to.
This is intended to show Party Cat exactly what is wrong with how they’re running the blog and how they’re behaving. If they learn from it, good. If they don’t... then, they don’t.
Last of all, we did gather opinions from both kin and non-kin in a survey. This isn’t meant to antagonize the entire kin community. In fact, the information from kin really helped to support this argument. Thank you to the kin people who did respond to the survey.
(Btw, survey is still open: https://goo.gl/forms/lDoffQVVmELDo2EZ2 )
Obvious content warnings for dark shit apply. (Abuse, depression/suicide, etc.)
With that being said... let’s begin.
The main reasons for the callout are these:
Passive aggressiveness to or about other mods
Passive aggressiveness to anons/senders
“Cutesy” or overly positive typing/behavior in serious situations
Material that is generally improper for this kind of confession blog
Hypocrisy
Majority of survey takers agreed with each other and with the points made in this callout
We’ll go one by one.
Passive-aggressiveness to/about mods
Tumblr media
(The bottom half of the mod page was linking to Party Cat’s other blogs and crediting some theme elements. Not relevant to callout.)
There isn’t a lot of information about the other mods or why they left; the general consensus on Maude is that they left because of school, but nothing about Kuroocrow. Now, why is this passive aggressive?
There was no need to publicly say that there’d been a “catfight” (ha ha, funny) with Maude. We don’t know if Maude even gave Cat permission to say this. If not, it’s disrespectful. (Nothing wrong with saying they’ll be okay.)
What Cat is saying about Kuro is even more aggressive than that. “They refuse to do anything to help!” Okay. That could be true. There’s still no need to rant about it.
“Ask them on my behalf what the fuck is going on with them!” Adding ‘on my behalf’ comes across as incredibly self-centered. And saying ‘what the fuck’ adds to the aggressiveness. Even if not intentional, that is how it looks, and it needs to be changed.
All that needs to be said is something like this: “It’s just me, Party Cat! Maude is on hiatus, and Kuro is absent. If anyone knows what’s going on with them, please DM me!” There. That’s respectful and to the point.
Passive-aggressiveness to Anons/Senders
This section will be... long.
Tumblr media
So.. there’s a lot of overlap here with the ‘cutesy typing’ issue, but I’ll get to that later. I had to crop the screenshot to just this because there was so much that wasn’t 100% relevant to the callout. (Context for this post: Cat promo’d a kin server, an anon found some unsavory things happening in the server, anon warned Cat, and Cat said this.)
“...Seriously there’s like a few thousand people following this blog” is an unnecessarily rude way to say this. The point itself is legitimate and understandable. It really just need to be reworded so as not to come off as salty.
Tumblr media
Alright, I’d understand this one if there was anything in the blog description or about pages to warn people that the blog can get dark. Confessions about death, suicide, rape, incest, murder, violence, high emotional distress, etc are jarring to see when this blog tends to be lighthearted.
While this anon does look a little bit defensive or offended, that’s so slight compared to the defensiveness of the response. Personally, I read the question as confused. (Y’all, who agrees with me? Who disagrees?)
Cat... people don’t tend to expect very dark content on a blog like this, especially when there’s no warning, and they might not even bother to blacklist the tags you use because they don’t expect it. (That’s a guess. If I’m wrong, then smeone should explain it. ) There isn’t much of an answer here - you just answer their question with another question.
Tumblr media
So, okay, I agree with Cat saying that this ask is vague. And it’s not good to add “but” after something like ‘No disrespect...’ -- because “but” does negate whatever precedes it.
Those are the only things in this screenshot that make sense. Now we’ll get to the things that are passive-aggressive.
“Maybe it’s because...” Vague in itself. ‘Maybe’ gives you wiggle room to get out of this perfectly legitimate critique, instead of saying “Hey, I seem this way because...”
“People keep asking me things without providing the barest amount of information...” People actually do provide information. Sometimes it isn’t enough. That doesn’t mean they aren’t trying, and they could be dropping the subject because of how you respond (nobody really wants to interact with someone being rude).
“I just fill up the dead air with jokes!” Plenty of people do. And it’s fine... just not in this situation. When something serious comes up, you shouldn’t simply make a joke and move on. This reads like an excuse, and even a way to shame people. (”Oh... it was only a joke? Now I feel bad! :(” )
“And then people get more mad because... I don’t know!” This looks like you are blaming people for their feelings. People are allowed to feel mad. It’s never okay for them to send hate or be dicks -- which they’re not doing.
“Nobody reads that page, lollerskates!!” This could easily be solved by a regular, repeated post linking to the FAQ. Or a regular, repeated post explaining why confessions sometimes aren’t answered. Or something like that. Just a bit more effort.
Tumblr media
Okay: “This blog is only for kin. We want to keep it within our community. If you have questions, check out this FAQ!”
Not okay: “You have no business interacting! You don’t know anything!”
That ‘sincerely’ isn’t very sincere at all. Most antikin will respect kin not wanting anti interaction on their blogs. Those that don’t are being dicks. And non-kin people who don’t have anything against kin are not at all likely to be hostile toward you, so being this hostile to them is unwarranted.
It’s confusing that this community, in general, would like non-kin and antis to become educated about what kin is/means... then such an influential blog sends a message like this. Regardless of how people feel about Cat, she does have pretty decent influence and a huge following; it’s very easy for impressionable kids to pick up on this weird double standard.
There’s nothing wrong with preferring to let someone else educate non-kin. There’s nothing wrong with pointing non-kin in a different direction.
There’s a lot wrong with blatantly pushing them away like this. It’s rude.
Inappropriate Cutesy/Overly Positive Typing
Tumblr media
Cat isn’t stupid and knows full well what this anon (same one from before) meant. There was no need whatsoever to make such a giant joke of the question.
(Not to mention... why the hell would she tell everybody that she has so much medical debt and can’t afford electricity? I don’t know her situation so I can’t say it is/isn’t a joke too. It is something that could genuinely upset people, and some would even believe it. It’s a terrible thing to say.)
“:3c” Not harmful in itself. Just doesn’t belong in a serious ask.
Tumblr media
This anon meant a post in which they were venting about abuse... they were angry that a character had abused their kintype. Cat knew that, considering their abuse content/trigger warning tags. This response looks sugarcoated and mentions some random anecdote about a thing Cat does, which is not appropriate in a situation regarding child abuse.
Tumblr media
This was in response to something that was legitimately annoying Cat and breaking a blog rule. It does not look like an appropriate or effective way to address the issue - even looks immature. Did people take this seriously?
Tumblr media
Yes, this really is a tag on a venting ask about a real life abusive stepfather. A joke. In a venting ask... about an abusive home life. There is a tag saying ‘Your stepdad sucks’, which is good. A joke, though, is too far.
Tumblr media
(Apologies for a repeat screenshot - I saved this one for right now, for the sake of organization.)
There is, as I’ve been saying, no need for this. It’s very strange to ‘roleplay’ and act cute when there’s possibly a toxic Discord server going around.
When asked if any of Party Cat’s mannerisms were bothersome, one person said this:
Tumblr media
Others said these things:
Tumblr media
Inappropriate Material
Tumblr media
Shoutout to @queen-dragon-slut (damn Tumblr won’t link you) for getting me this screenshot.
What the hell, Cat? This is serious -- this is even more serious than people sending confessions saying things like “Ugh, I hate this kintype!” or “Ugh! I hate that character!” This person actually endangered their own health and safety to force themselves into a ‘kin shift’. And it’s in no way Cat’s fault.
However.
To not even provide the anon with links to help blogs or any kind of resources, list some tags, and move on, shows an incredible lack of effort. Not only that, but I feel bad for this person. One note. That’s it. Nobody seemed to care that someone was suffering this badly, Cat included, which is, quite frankly, disgusting.
Tumblr media
Again, something this dark doesn’t belong on a casual confession blog (which is what your blog looks like it’s supposed to be). And again, it genuinely fucking worried me. Is this person okay?
And it’s not even tagged. Not as ‘suicide’, not as ‘depression’, not as ‘suicidal ideation’, nothing. Which is what this is. This person feels like they’re not needed, like they’re pointless, which exactly what suicidal ideation does to you.
You can’t DM an anon saying, “Hey, you alright?” You can, however, at the very least, link them to the help blog page.
Mod Ryan, who is also part of the fictionkin community whether we like it or not, has seen:
Confessions about incest
Confessions about being abused otherwise
Confessions about stalking and being stalked
People saying they liked to kill
People saying they weren’t at all sorry for violent things their kintypes did
Asks saying characters or people should’ve killed themselves
@queen-dragon-slut said about some of the suicide-ish confessions:  “ Tbh when somebody sends in a confession saying “I killed myself in my canon” it just sounds like they have some fantasies of wanting to kill themselves but cover it up by saying that their kin kill themselves and try to play it off. That’s not healthy.”
Hypocrisy:
Tumblr media
Alright. That looks reasonable -- but wait.
Tumblr media
The asks and other screenshots I just posted do strongly come off as suicide wishes, if not actual notes.
Here’s what people had to say when asked if they’d seen Party Cat acting hypocritical. I did not even mention suicide asks or dark asks in the survey question:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
____  I wish I had time to say more but class starts in twenty minutes. When I’m back, I will add onto the callout with one more thing: that people feel Cat isn’t doing enough to help distressed anons.
Huge thank you to everyone who helped out with this!
It’s something that people have wanted to say for quite a while, and something that should’ve been said a long time ago.
Nobody should be demonizing Party Cat; there is a real person behind the screen. This should be a learning experience for her. Not an attack.

EXO Reaction: They defend you when you’re getting picked on
Request:  Hey could I possibly get an EXO reaction to the reader getting picked on by a group at their school and then defending/ helping her? Or maybe one where reader is insecure and EXO help the reader to feel better please? Love your work btw xx
A/N: @ilook-soperfectstandinghere14 Thank you so much for your request, my first post of 2017! I decided to go with the first one so I hope that’s ok and that you like it! xx
Xiumin:
Tumblr media
I don’t imagine Xiumin would be very tolerant of anyone messing with you but even more so if you were being ganged up on on a regular basis. I get the feeling he’d take it upon himself to put things right if you were too shy without even asking your permission first. If he saw it happening, he wouldn’t get violent but would simply step in their way and glare at them in a way that had them cowering there and then, before pressing a kiss to your temple and walking away without giving the bullies a second glace. Funnily enough, they never bothered you again.
Luhan:
Tumblr media
Zero to one hundred real damn quick. At first, I think he’d try and reason with the people, biting down on his anger so not to embarrass you or himself as a public figure but if it persisted, he’s gonna get real. His sass would take over, wanting to see these awful bullies publicly humiliated for making you feel so horrible while he had to pick up the pieces. While he isn’t the most physically tough, his manliness shows through his sharp tongue and when it’s all over and done with his main priority is for you to feel safe, so you would no longer come home emotionally exhausted from their harassment.
Kris:
Tumblr media
Feel free to disagree with me on this one but I imagine Kris is very protective of the people he loves and so if anyone jeopardizes their happiness, he would be the first to put the people in their place. I can imagine him going to the people you so often told him about through chapped lips and teary eyes and simply threaten them. He had had enough of them making you feel inferior and he’d be damned if he was going to sit back and watch it happen. This alone was enough to halt the bullies in their tracks and keep to themselves, Kris proving too intimidating to test their courage.
‘Listen to me you oxygen polluting wastes of space, if any of you so much lay a finger on Y/N again, if you even dare look at her the wrong way there’ll be serious, serious consequences’ he’d say, fists balling at his sides.
Suho:
Tumblr media
I think Suho’s mom instincts would kick in and to him the solution would be simple: go to a different school. He’d offer to pay for you to transfer somewhere new and get a fresh start, he couldn’t bear to see you hurting this way but as far as he could see it, him stepping in only showed you couldn’t handle it yourself and could make things worse. He’d try and be mature and come up with a way to keep the peace without involving confrontation of any kind but also have you be happy. He wouldn’t encourage running from your problems but to him, this seemed a reasonable solution, he loved you too much to see you hurt.
Lay:
Tumblr media
I think this would trouble him a lot. While I can’t see Yixing being confrontational I don’t think he’d be able to not do anything after seeing you get picked on at school. He cared for you too much to see someone else try and harass you for flaws that, as far as he could tell, didn’t exist. I think instead, he would encourage you to stick up for yourself, not let them push you around and to be confident in yourself to prove to them that their opinion didn’t matter to you. He knew you were strong enough to make it through this but if you needed him there to help you along the way, of course he would.
Baekhyun:
Tumblr media
Oh sh*t guys, sassy beagle boy is here and he is taking no crap from anyone. When he saw you getting picked on, he’d almost glide in and wrap his arm around your shoulder and defuse the situation in a way that even had you confused: he’d kill them with false kindness. ‘Hey Y/N! Are these your friends??! Oh my gosh hi guys!! Sorry to barge in on your lovely conversation, I’m Baekhyun!!’ he’d say while aggressively shaking everyone’s hands. ‘Well,’ he’d say with a gritted, fake smile ‘we really should be going, got lots to do but it was so nice meeting Y/N’s friends!! Bye bye now!!’ he’d take you by the hand and stroll off with you, leaving the bullies with mouths open, speechless and dazed.
Chen:
Tumblr media
Did someone order a roast? Because Chen is here to deliver with every ounce of sass he can muster. He’d step in between you and the bullies and go full on savage. ‘Oh sweetheart should you really be criticizing anyone when you look like a steam roller ran over your ass? Yeah, didn’t think so. And you? When was the last time you used conditioner? I’ve seen less grease on a big mac. Anyway, must be going ladies and gents, good talk.’ he’d say before wrapping an arm around your waist and walking away, blowing a kiss to the bullies as he did so.
Chanyeol:
Tumblr media
Chanyeol has such a kind heart that seeing anyone in distress would bother him but you most of all. Upon seeing you be picked on, he’d step in coyly but not immediately, he wanted to see if you could handle yourself first. Eventually, he’d talk to the bullies, asking them what you’d ever done to them to deserve this and asking them to think about how their parents would feel if they knew how they were making you feel. Effectively, he guilted them out of bullying you, his sweet words, pleading eyes and intimidating height all playing into the reason you can now go through school unworried, all thanks to Chanyeol.
Kyungsoo:
Tumblr media
Here comes Satansoo and his hitman to save the day. As if he would do anything other than confront them? Of course he’s a sweetheart but if anyone was doing anything to make you feel bad he’d be right in there, with back up if necessary.
‘Um excuse me, just who do you think you are? I highly advise you step the hell back, take yourself far away from Y/N and not lay a single finger on her ever again. That is, I’m assuming you’d like to keep your finger, right?’
Tao:
Tumblr media
He’d encourage you to laugh if off with him. Like seriously, who even are they? As if you have anything to worry about, they’re definitely just jealous. That’s what he thought, and that’s what he said to you, rather loudly in their earshot causing you to laugh, leaving the bullies angry and confused, not only at what you and Tao had said but at the fact you were laughing after they’d tried so hard to bring you down to their level.
Kai:
Tumblr media
He’d be so mad to see you getting picked on but would try and keep his cool as he intervened. Jongin would try to encourage everyone to play nice, keeping the idea that everyone’s lives would be easier if you guys were all civil to each other, not necessarily friends but not actively seeking to upset each other either. He so badly wanted to be the neutral party but if that fails, he would merely laugh in their face for being as pathetic as they were before taking you away from such a toxic situation.
Sehun:
Tumblr media
Wait, who are these irrelevant people again? Neither you or Sehun have time for their bitter childishness and so he wouldn’t even entertain them, simply taking you by the hand to take you to do something far more fun than talk to them, I mean why should you waste your breath? That was what Sehun thought and so when he whisked you away right in front of the bullies, it showed them just how little you two thought of them and what they had to say.
