Anyone familiar with the Wim Hof breathing method?
I've been doing it first thing in the morning for about a month now. Almost right away, I noticed a marked improvement in sugar cravings and overall anxiety/depression levels. Like I've just been generally more chill since incorporating it into my routine?? It's even helped me get through a migraine
THAT BEING SAID it's pretty intense, so...I hesitate to recommend it to people without a bunch of caveats: You need to listen to your body, perform the exercises while sitting or lying down, stop immediately if you start feeling unwell, etc
But I really do love the way it makes me feel overall. There are 10-minute guided breathing sessions on YouTube if anyone is curious
#full disclosure: I found it while combing through blogs about stoicism#Normally I'm wary of stuff advocated by dudebros who read “The 4-hour Workweek” and want to optimize EVERYTHING#but Wim Hof breathing has genuinely helped me#and after doing some research it seems to have quite a bit of merit to it#I may look into other facets of Wim Hof's methodology.....but for now I'm just vibin with this breathwork#my therapist was saying I needed to do more breathing anyways#personal
