OK, that's enough chimping.

Not long after moving to Bristol, after nearly forty years as a working photographer I found a Fujifilm X-Pro3 in my hands and suddenly my love of photography was rekindled. The near analogue feel of its working made me think back to my time with Leica M's, in the early 1990s. But those cameras and lenses are now so expensive I didn't want the responsibility of carrying around an 'every day camera' that was going to be worth so much money. So the X-Pro3 was a perfect solution, and that the rear screen is folded in on the camera was a huge bonus as it stopped me looking at each shot after I'd taken it (chimping) allowing me to immerse myself solely in the process of making images. It's a bit like Tumblr really. A bit clunky, a bit old school, entirely functional and huge, huge fun.

Another image from the Cliffs of Moher, taken a year or so ago in Ireland. I've been trying to find a good preset in LR to use with these, and I've finally settled on a sort of Portra 160 version with a bit of white balance shift to get the sort of mood I'm after. To be honest, it was such a dreech day that it didn't really need a lot of editing - this is almost SOOC!
