Another day in "#PANDEMIC" to the point where I'm not going crazy all the time. Spending a lot of time with the family. Last two weeks have been really stress full encountering people. I get that everyone is stressed and going stir crazy but it's #noexvusetoabuseothers. It's just asanine that people are just this bloody callous. There's a difference between being a child at minor inconvience or being discriminated against. As a gender #minority and a member of a #oppressedgroup I can only add my salt and sarcasm to the rest of the population who lacks privilege. But, I mean, the level of selfishness I'm experiencing is just sad. So many #okayboomers and #surekaren pass behind my eyes. I was raised by boomers and the amount of times I run into a #karen from any generation is just overwhelming. I mean hell, we had a kid swear at us cuz he didn't get worms. Oh no, I'm so sorry you couldn't fucking just ask and wait a second. So it's just old folks. It's stupid, whiny, assholes who have to take their shit out on me and others in the #disposableworkforce. If it werent for my family, friends, and my #girlfriend I would not be in a good place right now. Recovery from a day of work is much longer than before. On my days off I try to do things to recovery and also do some aerobics. Half the time I collapse within thirty minutes of getting home. Late night has become my perferred time to cook and clean these days. I am trying to recover as best I can and fight the #depression and #mania that comes now and then. So far, the childishness of customers had decreased with each passing week. A white woman in Los Angeles is being dragged online after a video of her attempting to stop a Black man from doing his job has gone viral.

On Wednesday (Jul 22), Jordan Gipson took to Instagram to upload a video of the negative encounter he had with an unidentified white woman with the video starting with the eccentric, aggressive, and nosey, woman asking why Gipson is wearing “that green thing,” referring to his protective face covering.

“Is this a hold-up or something?” She asks. “Just take it off.”

“I have food I have to deliver to somebody ma’am,” Gipson explains, to which the woman replies, “Don’t deliver anything here. We don’t want you delivering. I don’t want you here.”

Although Gipson initially uploaded a snippet of his encounter, he later uploaded the full almost five-minute encounter which revealed how far the elderly woman went to interrupt him from doing his job, blocking the man from the door as he attempts to speak with the customer through the building’s call box.

“So you’re not gonna let me in to deliver this food? I have the number,” Gipson says calmly as he waits to be buzzed in. “I have food I have to deliver to somebody, ma’am.”

While the exchange ultimately ends with the customer, who is only referred to as “Paul”, coming to retrieve his order, Gipson says that the decision to record the encounter was for his protection in case the “Karen” wanted to call the police.

In an exclusive statement to The Grio, Gipson stated that he never intended to go viral, but appreciates the outpouring of support.

“I didn’t originally post for attention/ a Karen video. I posted the story in fear of being arrested had she called police. At the time, I felt pretty normal being that I’m a Black man and I’ve grown numb to it,” Gipson said. “The support pouring out has made me understand that more and more people are condemning this behavior and I’m glad to be a part of that journey. Thank you.”

Since the viral video hit the web, Postmates issued a statement regarding the incident saying that their company has “zero tolerance for racism and is committed to the safety of everyone using our platform: couriers, businesses, and customers.”

i hate customer service

in my opinion the idea "The Customer is always right" is the dumbest thing... I cant even begin to tell you the amount of stuff I have heard with the rant ending with that phrase is absurd, the customer is not always right, and many people who work in customer services, retail or food will tell you the same thing. customers can be rude and lying to us, it can drive people insane, all because they are not getting what they want, just inn my jobs I have heard the Dumbest things, from a parent getting wet in a show where they tell you, you will get wet, to even stupider things like they went through a horror maze that is recommended for ages 13 and up and is even advertised on tickets and the website, and people will legit come screaming at me for their 3 yr old child getting traumatized in the maze and come to blame me for their own idiotic idea of bringing a small child to an event like that, in these rants, we are berated, and made to feel minuscule, called racial slurs, personally i have been called a beaner, wetback, and even the n-word with the hard R (im mexican btw). these people will end it with “the Customer is always right”, they arent and they are nasty rotten people that find joy in destroying the day of people who are just working for them
