Sometimes I wonder why the 100 has such a strong presence on tumblr. I swear every fic writer in the 100 has a tumblr. But barely any other Fandom promotes their tumblr on ao3... 🤔

I don't really know tbh 🤷‍♀️ altho if I had to warrant a guess, it would honestly probably be because the clexa fandom has such a broad spectrum of creators. While it's not as big as it used to be, at one point it was massive. Everyone and their mother shipped clexa and there were new gifs and art pieces and meta analyses and posts dissecting each little thing coming out all the time. And a lot of times those same writers were also creating visuals, moodboards, gif sets, manips ect to go along with their stories. Tumblr is the perfect spot for that kind of stuff because it allows you to create and post so many different kinds of content that you really can't put anywhere else. And tbh, I just... don't see the same level of love for other pairings that clexa got in its heyday nor what it still gets to this day despite being a ship long since past. Yes there's intense and devoted fans in every fandom but the clexa fandom was a fuckin juggernaut and for all those reasons, it was just easier to assemble on tumblr to share content

oof okay i'm just gonna drop a few random notes that don't exactly spoil anything but get you more worked up about it:

aaron has a stalker who sends him dvds from his past (videos that jessica took when they were young) to fuck with him, along with either a vague letter, or a picture of aaron on his most recent cases (not sure yet), and this happens over a few months (in which more and more about aaron is revealed to his team, which tears him apart because some of it is stuff that he never wanted them to find out--nothing bad, just about his parents, specifically his dad, his sexuality, stuff like that)

him and the team have to watch these videos of aaron from the past to see if there's anything that points to who's stalking him, so there are gonna be chapters that are similar to flashbacks but are gonna be descriptions of the video they're watching, if that makes sense?

the story is definitely gonna end with at least one death, but i am thinking of having two characters die instead :D

there are gonna be many flashback chapters--love confessions, death, even more death, adventures, anger

aaron's dad dies of a heart attack when he's 17, his mum dies from a fire when he's 29 (both play a huge part in the fic)

the fic itself is probably gonna be set around s7? s8? but i haven't fully worked that out yet. i want emily to be in it, so s7 is probably best. it may mention the cases they're working on, it may not. it's more gonna be set around a specific time rather than whatever cases they worked on that year.

aaron is bisexual btw, also plays a huge part

there are so many parallels that it physically hurts me to think about and i'm not afraid to say i've shed a few tears over this fuckin fic

the theme of religion is quite heavy in this? not in every chapter but in the chapters its gonna be in, it's not gonna be lightly mentioned ig?
