Also Rewatched possession a week or two ago and really found it as deeply upsetting as I did the first time I watched it some…almost ten years ago? Back then I feel like it was not nearly as deeply embedded on this site as a tumblrina cult classic I think I literally just stumbled upon on it on fuckedupmovies dot com as I do which makes me wonder about its popularity now…not that I really truly doubt that people have seen it, as this is the death and eroticism site, but I guess if the general reaction to it is as strong as mine. I feel like there are sometimes movies that intensely disturb me but then that my friends find too corny or too over the top to have that effect on them and I wonder where possession toes this line… like for me? I literally have to look away at certain parts of the subway scene it’s literally so agitating and upsetting! Which makes it successful to me tho. I mean its general reputation in the world is definitely fucked up/disturbing I guess but yeah…absolutely phenomenal movie but very difficult to revisit

ANDKFJSDJ I agree that a good chunk of what’s on there+certain users are disgusting in the unfun way but how are u not gonna expect taboo horror from the literal taboo horror site 😭😭😭anyway the last few movies I saw there were Nekromantik and Faces of Death. Nekro rocked & I intend to see the sequel sometime <3 Faces of death was mostly ass tho it just felt like an ancestor to gore sites but worse+some stuff being made up

Almost forgot to add these to the spoils mix. My collection of "fucked up" or Extreme horror has been growing exponentially over the years. Funny thing was that these two films so far are the more notorious of the bunch that I've heard of. I actually bought Salo over a year ago cause it was the first (and still only) time I've seen it in BD in the wild. To get a Criterion version of this is pretty crazy. Still haven't even watched it yet. But its on the giant list (that just keeps growing). Still the only movie that makes me genuinely nervous though. As I've heard so many stories. Then of course there's A Serbian Film. I've watched this a couple of times already since I was gifted an DVD copy years ago and a "joke" gift. Still a very tough watch, but so well done. Haven't seen this BD version yet, so I'll most likely watch it 3rd time, cause why not? I blame The Last House on the Left for this fascination on the truly fucked up. We all know that the Nekromantic films are going to be interesting watches.
