So I was drawing and I was intending to just draw a full body of Mika but then I looked at the body type and thought it was way to “idealized”, I save that for the succubi. But then I thought, “What if Demon Mika?” And so this image was born!

When making the human form, I literally just asked myself “What if Mika’s outfit but sexy?”

There are three ways I can see this image happening.

1) This is the King Sam ending of Seduce Me Demon War

2) This is the “My Kingdom” ending of Seduce Me the Otome

Or

3) This is a swap AU (the intended one) which would bring up the question of what the boys would look like if they were just humans.

Going for the Swapped AU as a concept, this version of Mika is still 25% Angel, just the rest is succubus. She’s the only heir to her kingdom’s throne and her father tried to marry her off to a well off but violent kingdom. She said “Fuck no!” And went to the human world via Harold Anderson. (who I’m tempted to say is the Boys’ grandfather in this timeline) She then proceeded to piss off a devil, nearly die, break into a house and kiss some random dude (Sam) for energy.

That somehow got her a house to stay in with five cute, human boys as roommates.

This version of Mika isn’t unpleasant but she’s a lot less willing to be upbeat as her whole life was practically planned for her and she was not happy about any of it. So you can either have her fall for one of the cute humans she’s rooming with or have her leave and bond with either a beautiful human witch and her assistant (Diana and Saero), one of her demon besties that she can stay with to avoid her parents (Suzu or Naomi) or this other runaway that looks suspiciously like the man she was supposed to marry (Andrew)

revolving around his connection to the demon world and how important a soul bond is to him is actually way more indepth than it fucking seems because here's this badass guy who so deeply wants to show his love to his partner in a way that's special to them and himself, always knowing where they are, if they're okay, etc. And getting ready for the war against HIS FATHER, his hatred boiling up, Saero constantly poking at him trying to get a reaction, which he will ALWAYS get. Just GRA!!! I will start talking about the most interesting shit to me, I don't care if you're not interested, because I could not fucking care less about football.

Truth is yes I have, but posting is a different story. I don’t usually make fanfic or art posts that I feel as though people find more appealing (which is fine I like them too), I post about my opinion and thoughts on the game which I feel as though people probably won’t like as much (again, that is fine). Either that or I post like a groundhog XD.

Regardless, every time that I posted, less and less people were liking my posts. I don’t want to go into the semantics of how Tumblr and likes work and whether or not it kills the post or actually helps the creator, how I see it, less likes, less people noticing the post. This isn’t me trying to make people feel bad for not liking my posts and trying to get you guys to like (a lot that I say is subjective so I completely understand people not liking my posts), I just find no point in lying and saying “oh I’ve been busy with soooo much” since posting on tumblr was my escape. If less people are going to see and read my posts, I see no point in posting. That’s what I want to say but at the same time back then, I did appreciate the community that was around when I was actively posting and I also appreciate the community now. I want to be apart of that community but if I’m not wanted, what’s the point of posting.

That being said, a big issue I struggle with is worrying about what others think of me. Constantly thinking of how everyone perceives me is exhausting and something I’ve been working on. I want nothing more then to share my thoughts and feelings and perspective of things in this fandom, especially since I have changed a lot since I’ve last posted (I hate Saero less :D still don’t like seeing him though >:|). My writing has changed a lot and I’ve been constantly thinking the story of Seduce Me differently and I want nothing more than to share that with all of you. So whether or not people like or ignore my posts, I have to tell myself “who cares? There’s always the next post 5 years later”.

Now I don’t want to come on here and say that I don’t appreciate the notes and reposts I have gotten when I was active or even now (I think this post said otherwise XD), what I simply want to do is post and not be held back or unmotivated just because I’ve been ignored.

And yes, I know I’ve been saying every post that “I’ll post more often” and then leaving for a year or six to do whatever the fuck, but I’m not gonna promise I will post more often, but I will promise to post more. In fact I have a really fun idea for a post that I’ll try to make tomorrow or at least this week ;).

In conclusion, I’m back and better than ever >:D. Oh and also I love this community and I’m glad it isn’t completely dead. I appreciate the love I’ve had over the years and I hope things will be better, but if not, I’ll try not to worry. Until next time :)

Oh, God. Loads, too many to list. Tolkien is currently at the top of the list, and I'm also deep in the extended Jacobite Literary Universe. :D Generally, my fandoms tend to have some sort of historical and/or fantasy setting.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

My NATM fics are still my most popular ones by a country mile. I still get almost daily kudos on all of them, which is somewhat bamboozling, given that they're pretty old, very short, and there's been a lot more NATM fic written since then. But it is nice that folks are still finding them and reading them. :D

Then there's that random Ghosts one in there, too!

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yeah, almost always. I like to let readers know I appreciate their feedback, and it's fun to flail about our favourite characters and ships. Though right now, I have to admit that I have a bit of a backlog of comments that I need to respond to. But I'll get there. :S

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I've written a few, but possibly Nunc Dimittis, which is about Morgoth sending Sauron away at the final fall of Angband. It ends with Sauron feeling the moment that Melkor is taken captive, then later, when he's cast into the Void, and realising he's now truly alone. That fic was entirely Dark Lord angst. :P

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Oof, a fairly tough one. I'm quite big on giving my ships happy endings, wherever possible. But I'll go with A Few Good Years to Spend, because that whole fic was an exercise in giving Andreth and Aegnor a happy ending. But I very much liked the final scene, with Andreth growing old and Aegnor as totally, utterly besotted with her as ever. It also had them all surrounded by the various kids of the House of Bëor, and Aegnor being the confirmed favourite, and the image was cute. :3

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not really. I did get one really weird comment on a fic, which was basically a diatribe against the POV character. But it had nothing to do with the actual fic, it was about the character in the canon, and it seemed like it was part of some larger screed had just been c+p'd from some other site. Very strange.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yeah, every so often. I wish I wrote more tbh, because I'm a pervy wee hobgoblin. I've never even written an f/f scene or a proper threesome. So far, all my smut has been fairly tame, but I'd like to try my hand at some more kinky stuff at some point. ;)

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Yeah, when inspiration strikes. I don't know about the craziest, but I think the daftest must definitely be And Long Would Mandos Hold Him, where Death from Horrible Histories meets Saeros from The Children of Húrin and is, naturally, delighted. That one was a riot to write. XD

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge, but fuck, who knows. The internet is huge.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

A few times, into Chinese and Russian.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Not really, not if you mean both of us writing. I think the closest I've come so far was when I collaborated with peasina for last year's Pod_Together, which involves teaming up to create both a written fic and a podfic version of the same. It was a really fun experience, coming up with ideas for a story together, and interesting, because it's the first time I've ever written a story specifically intended to be read aloud, so it was something to keep in mind all the time I was writing. The end result was A (Confirmed) Knight Bachelor: written version here and pod version here. I really enjoyed doing this one! :D

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

God, I don't know. I have no idea how to gauge that.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

ahahahaha... oh God, right now, it feels like all of them. XD

But really... sadly, probably the Legolas/Gimli post-LOTR fic I started. Honestly, I think the fact it was looking to end up as a multi-chapter affair kind of scared me from the get-go. Then I wrote myself into a knot trying to work out Legolas and Thranduil's dynamic immediately after the War of the Ring. No doubt it's the sort of thing that could be easily worked out with a bit of tinkering, but I got discouraged and ended up shoving the whole fic on the back-burner, where it's like to stay. :[

(Of course, talking about it inevitably makes me want to open it up and have another crack at it. But realistically, I don't think I'll ever finish it.)

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think I do character voices pretty well, and in book fandoms, I think I can usually pull off a decent pastiche of the style. And on a good day, I think I can do good descriptive prose.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Fucking plots, how do they work??? On a bad day, I think my prose is overdone and pedantic: too fussy.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

It can definitely add something - authenticity, atmosphere - but should also be used with caution. Writing is all about communication, after all, and if you start writing whole screeds of conversation in a language that you're not guaranteed your target audience will understand, you're not serving the story, just trying to show off. Economy is the key, I think. I also usually include a translation, either as an endnote, or as a hover-over caption.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

lol technically, I think it must be historical RPF. I used to write wee stories about the historical peeps I was obsessed with at the time.

A List of Things, in No Particular Order, that I Would Really Want To See in a Silmarillion Film/TV Show

Luthien. Just Luthien. Pretty elven princess being Really Fucking Powerful? Yes please! (Bonus points if they get Liv Tyler to play her)

The fight between Fingolfin and Morgoth. I recently reread this bit and holy crap it sounds so cinematic.

Haleth! Really obscure and under appreciated but I love her so much.

Maedhros during the Dagor Bragollach. I forget the exact wording but he sounds terrifying and awesome.

Honestly Maedhros in general. His whole arc is so rife with angst and story potential. Like maybe a tale of the Silm from Maedhros’s perspective.

I feel like Turin Turambar would make a really good monster-of-the-week-but-also-with-plot kinda TV show. Like a set up ep with him coming to Doriath, then a season in Doriath ending with the Saeros debacle, then a season with the outlaws, then a season in Nargothrond, then a season in Brethil with a dramatic final few eps against Glaurung. Lots of little problems (hence monster-of-the-week) carrying the overarching plot.

I feel like Elrond would be another great framing device for the events of the Silm because his ancestry touches nearly every part of it, esp if you include the kidnap fam.

anyway. saeros is probs some dickhead senator bc i think for all their faults the jedi would've had an issue with his attitude sooner than doriath

obi-wan is on a mission without anakin. anakin gets assigned some lowkey diplomatic mission, possibly with another master (a mablung equivalent?) which involves spending time with dickhead senator

dickhead senator is a dick about anakin being from the outer rim/tatooine and as part of that makes some comment about the women of the outer rim/tatooine that anakin takes as an insult to his mother

(sidenote: while i generally think that if anakin and turin ever met they'd fucking hate each other, i could see them bonding over their opinions on what the appropriate response is to someone insulting/attacking your mother)

anakin punches the dickhead senator in the face but storms out before the situation can escalate further (he got some sleep the night before)

except whoops dickhead senator is pissed so he attacks anakin the next morning. this obviously does not go well for dickhead senator

also anakin at this point decides fuck it im done with self-control maybe some humiliation will teach this guy a fucking lesson!!

and so we get the whole. strip him naked and chase him at swordpoint through the forest (or i guess streets in this scenario?) until whoops he slips and hits his head and he's dead

and no one saw the initial attack so this looks pretty bad

so anakin decides that since the jedi will at best kick him out time to go on the run!

he ends up joining up with a crew of bounty hunters/pirates - whichever particular crew ur heart desires

and clocks that there's actually nothing stopping him from freeing the slaves anymore so...

in the meantime. obi-wan comes back like. what in the goddamn hell did i miss

does some detective work (he's beleg in this au) and finds out the dickhead senator attacked first!

either through a nellas equivalent (someone had a crush on anakin and expressed this via stalking and so saw the whole thing) or some other way you decide

reveals his discoveries to the council

the council is like. well he is causing problems with all the slave uprisings etc! and we're close to aotc so things are generally heating up in that regard as well

would actually be great to have anakin back in the temple and under control

so they send obi-wan to go get him and tell him he's allowed back

shockingly, anakin makes the same decision as turin does - he doesnt want to go back, hes actually doing something good here

unfortunately i dont actually think that obi-wan makes the same decision as beleg - he goes back to the order

anakin starts a land of bow and helm type deal with the worlds hes been freeing, and is v much at war with the hutts

this is where we diverge from coh, bc anakin isnt cursed

the clone wars probably look quite different

Lil Fun Fact about me

I was obsessed with this game at about 14 years old. (I know. Too young. I didn't read the age warning) And while I went through the hyperfixation that would define my current re-hyperfixation, here's how lil babu me felt about each character.

James- Neutral. Idk 14 year old me didn't get it. I was not that girl. I thought he was a little boring. Uh, that opinion changed. Of all the boys, I currently think he's the hottest honestly. Also for some reason, I thought James was 26 instead of 23. So that not only inspire him being 26 when I aged up a few character (Mika included) but also when I went back into the game and thought he was 26 trying to get with an 18 year old, I was giving him (and Michaela) some MAJOR side eye. Then the wiki educated me.

Erik- I kinda disliked him. I thought his flirty personality was annoying and I didn't like that he just kissed Mika out of no where. (still don't honestly) I think I lowkey agreed with Oribel. To 14 year old me, the man was icky. Also again, I thought he was 25 so I was like "Eeeeeeewwwwwww". Again, the wiki made me realize that he was 22. Nowadays, while he's not my favorite, I find his flirting funny and think the voice actor did an amazing job. I also understand his arc and that made him a much better character in my eyes.

Sam- Fucking HATED this man. Loathed even. I thought he was rude, mean and all around I hated the tsundere trope. An opinion I had (and still have to a less passion degree) is that you shouldn't have to earn basic treatment. No one's baseline treatment of you should be rude and condescending. And that's true.... in real life. I'm far more chill about Sam simply because I give him more leeway based on the world he lives in. Would I like a real life Sam? No. Can I now appreciate his arc within the confines of a video game? Yes.

Matthew- I'm pretty sure he was my favorite character. Loved his fun loving attitude and carefree persona. Plus Simon Tabby. We love Simon Tabby, We stan Simon Tabby. Though I will say, his worst ending in game two gave me nightmares. My opinion of him hasn't really changed much. Still love the guy but he has been dethroned by someone else.

Damien- My second favorite character at 14! I'll be honest, it was mainly because he suffered. Don't get me wrong, 14 year old me liked his sweetness but without his tragic backstory, I would have probably found him boring like James. Uh again clearly that's changed. His backstory still hits hard but I can better appreciate just how tooth rottingly sweet he is. Plus I just like soft boys and that sadistic side doesn't hurt. He has absolutely become my fav! (Sorry Matthew, you're still my second fav)

Diana- I didn't see her run or really care about her romance with Saero. I knew she had a run but never cared to see it. So I was just more confused with her massive 180 in personality from Otome to Demon War. I did think she was hot though. Nowadays, my inner bisexual makes me rabid for this girl. The only reason she doesn't appear on my timeline much is because I know there is an entire book about her that I am currently unable to get and I don't want to rewrite something I don't understand. That feels disrespectful.

I've written about Dior, but not about Nimloth so far. Here is how I see the circumstances of their marriage, and her character in general. It is not very romantic, I'm afraid!

Let's start with the mood in doriath, as demonstrated by Turin. So - Thingol took Turin, who is human, in as a foster child in his youth, post the whole Luthien-Beren thing. Turin was compared, unfavorably, to elves constantly, and dealt with micro aggression and condescension the whole time, culminating in vitriolic abuse from a dude named Saeros, who ultimately jumps Turin in the woods, who then snaps and ends up driving Saeros to his death. Thereafter Turin flees Doriath.

So, like. Okay. Imagine this.

Your princess, who you all love and adore, becomes smitten with a species that, like. Ew. They're not very nice to look at, and they die really quickly, and honestly what's the point.

Then she goes on a heroic quest, SPITES MORGOTH, STEALS FROM HIM, AND GETS AWAY WITH IT, all so she can marry her ugly bf. Obviously, she must be praised and revered for her great deeds. ALSO, she convinces Namo to return her man from death????? But also gives up her own birthright of immortality?

So now you're kinda stuck. You can't, like, NOT praise her. And also this is an abomination. Humans suck, and now your princess is gonna die. So what do you do? You dehumanize her - by putting her on a pedestal. You make her the exception that proves the rule. Yeah, she's in an interspecies relationship, BUT LOOK AT ALL THE INSANE SHIT SHE DID TO GET IT. true love. 🥰 Also if you try that shit and you're NOT Luthien??? Good fucking luck. Go kiss a silmaril.

I imagine this is all bubbling under the surface, and explains a lot of Turin's experience.

And Dior's.

Enter Nimloth. An arranged marriage that everyone insists is for the best. Nimloth is a dignified, proper lady. She genuinely means well but also she does regard the whole...human...thing...as a one time deal best left in the past. Dior's mother was so heroic! And now Dior is keeping things on track, by marrying her (read: an elf. A noble elf. The safest, most correct, least controversial choice possible.) And their children are regrettably a little mortal, getting pregnant twice very quickly is a deliberate Sacrifice (tm) Nimloth makes, but she's not sure what Dior's lifespan will be (another sacrifice she's making, to marry someone whose fate is uncertain) and doesn't dare wait the normal span.

Regardless, her children are beautiful. Nimloth is very proud. They will be proper elves, proper royalty, and they will honor their ancestors (but NEVER emulate them). Nimloth may even have some ideas for arranged marriages already, just to be certain everything stays on track.

She is - really, truly, genuinely - not a bad person. But she, like many elves at this point, doesn't see the "point" of humans and thinks interspecies mingling will only lead to tragedy.

She's a very proper lady with a narrow view of the world and limited perspective. She is well meaning. But I do think she sees humanity in Dior as a flaw to be lovingly corrected.

Also: She had to kinda force the marriage bond. She considers this embarrassing and never speaks of it for Dior's sake. Her love language is safeguarding a person's reputation. She thinks the reason it was hard is because of his human father, but actually it was hard bc Dior was too young and wasn't ready (see my other posts about him - you don't have to dig, they're linked in my pinned post). Nimloth, should she ever find out, will be horrified.
