I haven't played CRK since the whole disaster of an update with yogurca that ovenbreak had and the fact golden cheese STILL hasn't released and has no hints of being released anytime soon is just... at this rate I'm glad i stopped playing i don't think the Cookie run devs can create satisfying updates for the life of them and apparently they've been fumbling the characters and writing recently too 🙃

Lilac is fucking cool for one reason: he has a wicked tattoo. GIVE MORE CHARACTERS THINGS LIKE THIS GODDAMMIT. lilac is COOL AS SHIT. His voice is so fucking smooth in kingdom and just the way he speaks RULES. I will not lie to you though for a solid month I thought he was a woman. I had to turn up my volume to discover that I was wrong.

I want to see more of him soooo bad. What happened between his time at yogurca and his meeting with princess and knight????? Is yogurt cream still alive???? Did he finish the job???? Or did they part ways on good terms??????? ALSO BRING SCORPION TO KINGDOM AND LET THEM HASH OUT THEIR PROBLEMS IN SEXY HAND TO HAND COMBAT!!!!!!!! I love Hollyberry. I love her a lot. Her energy and optimism no matter the situation is so endearing and even a bit contagious. She has such a big heart for her entire kingdom and ACK THAT PULLS AT MY HEART STRINGS!!! SHE LOVES HER FAMILY SO MUCH!!!!!!! It’s so fucking nice to have an ancient that actually found themselves NOT riddled with PTSD (that we know of??) and instead just having a grand ol time with their kingdom-sized family.

Also I just love the Hollyberry arc. The story for the Hollyberry kingdom is so fun and refreshing and I really wish we got a few more silly, light-hearted stories every so often.

Now, of course, I think you COULD dig deeper into the ptsd thing I mentioned and say that maybe she turned to alcoholism after the war but tbh if you ask me that’s just how she is. It’s hollyberrian culture to drink your weight in spirits so I honestly think she’s doing alright.

God don’t even get me started on the odyssey story thus far. Hollyberry has been a fucking BEACON OF LIGHT, especially for dark cacao. Those two are so fucking great as a duo. They just compliment each other so well and honestly her role in this story is making me love her even more. I’m like lowkey leaning into he headcanon that Hollyberry is the glue that keeps the ancients together. Like yeah pure vanilla is the one who reached out and he’s like the leader but it’s HOLLYBERRY who keeps the spirits up. Anyone is lucky to have a friend like her. I adore her. I want to be her.

I could say a lot more about her if this wasn’t getting long and if I wasn’t already drop dead tired so uhhh yeah thoughts concluded for now :)

Honestly? Not much to say about her. I think she’s fucking adorable. She has such a cute style and a cute voice ughhhh I want to pat her head and have her pour me some tea.

I do really like the whole weird mystery with her and pompon. I think that adds an extra layer to her that makes her juuuust interesting enough to keep around in the minds of fans. I mean i DID forget about her existence the moment I kicked her from my main team but hey the point still stands. I really hope she plays a role if there’s another Halloween event. I think that’d be cute lol

Also she should meet truffle cookie. I’m just saying these two would have killer tea parties together.

tbh i don’t mind people having headcanons or or not liking characters that i do or whatever, but to shit on people because they like a certain character… i honestly feel like their entire blog as a whole is just… idk a good word to use for it but it’s just not very good.

i skimmed their other posts to see what else they posted and they said something like goblin cookie is antisemitic? because all goblins are racist caricatures or something? way too many cookie run fans tend to see the franchise through a western lens, goblin cookie’s design is based on a dokkaebi, which is sort of like a goblin character in our folklore(although tbh they’re more their own thing then a goblin). nothing to do with racism or european folklore or anything of the sort. they’re just playful and mischevious characters.

and the purple yam milk “discourse”… i’m not even going to get into that it just gives me a headache. the yogurca characters “discourse” i can kinda see why they see it as problematic. but in the end none of the cookies were designed with any ill intent, they’re fucking cookies(before you even ask, no i don’t like whitewashing and i am not a proshipper.). but yea.

i could nitpick any character and find something “problematic” about them: cotton candy cookie is creepy and normalises stalking. timekeeper cookie appropriates english culture by having a steampunk aesthetic. chili pepper cookie promotes petty crime. look at how ridiculous i sound.

the blog is just so stupid and trying to make huge problems out of literally nothing but their own political beliefs and headcanons and stuff. and they say they preemptively block ppl so they don’t have to argue, yet when i disagreed with them the owner made a negative post about me and were like “blah blah blah i can’t hear you your opinion is wrong”. so immature.

edit: so apparently the creator of goblin cookie has acted kinda weird such as interacting with antisemitic looking goblin fanart, scratch what i said about that here lol

I just realized that your argument about lesbians thinking the drama between SeaPirate and SeaMoon could apply to individual characters as well

For example, I am Jewish and personally think that even though Devsis should have done a bit more research, the drama about Goblin Cookie was stupid

Assss much as I dislike Goblin's design, I know that not everyone knows about goblins' antisemitic roots and immediately calling devsis nazis over it was far less progressive then just email'ing them like "hey this design has links to nazi propaganda could you maybe do more research next time"

I aint saying the drama wasnt justified and the people's anger were heavily warranted, though there were just better ways to go about it-

Tbh this just has me wondering, if people are getting upset at devsis for making stereotypes and offensive caricatures, why the fuck do they think they'd correctly portray lesbians?
