With a mulled wine in each hand, Sal couldn't shake that something felt innately wrong to him about drinking alcohol from a coffee cup but his tenure as owner of Lost Spirits had taught him that anything could be an alcohol container if you were creative enough.

"Oh, man! Like, a crush crush? Or one of those fleeting crushes? Because I get a lot of those. Those ones that pop up because someone is so endearing, and they stick to your heart like honey - super sweet and it never truly comes off.

Like, I've totally had a crush on Mack. He's funny, and he can make any room feel so comfortable and welcoming. Ford is an obvious one since we dated in high school. He was sooo cute! I've also had a crush on Cora. Have you read her writing? She's so talented. The way she can put words on a page! And then there's Atti, one part of the Muddy Muddies! Even if he is a little sneak and tricks me to win our jogs.

It's okay, I can very easily forgive a face like that, especially when he buys me a smoothie to make up for it.

Oh, and definitely Romi. She's one of my closest friends here right now, and I'm going to be really heartbroken when she does move back to New York. The fact that Romi had so easily opened the door to him and let him inside only further's Bo's agitation, the depths of it he's unable to conceal once he's passed the threshold of her place and in her living space, unable to wonder anything but whether or not her relaxed demeanour was a further faucet of the act he knows now that she's been playing.

There's no attempt at niceties or toeing lines as he turns towards her once the front door was shut, glaring at her with a concentrated kind of contempt that she had only half-earned.

Silas had no angle or desire for anything more than a way for his night to end on a high that would counteract the lows it had sank to. Romy may not have been the person he envisioned that with when he had first dawned a suit and fixed a mask on his face, but that doesn't make her any less appealing.

Jordan fades into the peripheral of his thoughts as he draws closer to the brunette, a hand finding the side of her neck so he could bring her nearer to him, pressing a kiss to her lips that was a promise of the rest of the night.

She didn't expect to arrive with Bo and then end up leaving with someone else. Not that she thought she'd be leaving with her husband either.

As painfully single as she was, one night stands weren't in the norm for her out of fear of the complications that could come. A child, a disease, running into a murderer.

If anyone would run into those scenarios, it was her.

But watching Bo cuddled up to the blonde brought something out in Romina. She downs her drink and takes hold of his hand to lead him towards the nearest exit.

"My place is just down the street." Her airbnb, that was. "I don't have anything for breakfast." Which was the nicest way she could tell him he was not welcome to stay the night. / @silascody
