Meeting Their Friends

This chapter won't feature gramps and Mikey's picks up right after the last chapter. only trigger is that there is a touch of underage drinking in Izana's, but I mean they are literal gang members. they've done worse than take a couple drinks of liquor.

Mikey ft. Draken

Sayuri clung to her big brother's hand, she put on a brave face, but she was still nervous. She didn't want to embarrass her brother, much less herself. "It's ok Say, just one step at a time. You don't have to say nothing if you don't want. Kenny understands that things have been rough for you, we don't want to push you too far. Just want you to feel comfortable with him being around." His words had soothed her a bit, it was nice that she wasn't pressured into behaving a certain way. As they approached the park gate she took notice of the large male standing near the center of the entrance, he had his side to them and hadn't noticed their approach yet. A slight blush covered her cheeks, she was finally meeting someone new that wasn't part of her family. Mikey had called out to him once they got closer, the male slightly tilting his head back as he glanced in their direction before fully turning his body. He was huge compared to her, probably the tallest person she had ever seen. He didn't walk toward them, no, he instead squatted down to be a bit more on her level. Mikey had told him the day before how his little sister could be pretty nervous when it came to new people, so he was doing his best to be a bit less intimidating. Not too surprisingly it was something he had to do outside of the gang scene, he understood his size and resting bitch face could stress out even normal people. "You were right on time Kenny, Say and I just finished some ice-cream."

Draken chuckled a bit, nodding his head. "Is that so? Sounds pretty good." Dark eyes much like her brother's shifted back to her, Sayuri herself starting to relax as she realized how similar the two were. "So, you're Sayuri then? Your brother's told me a lot about you." He extended one of his large hands to her, offering her a slight smile. Mikey felt the tension in his shoulders relax as he watched her release his hand to take Draken's hand. It was cute how her eyes seemed to glow as she looked up at the massive man, he was worried it may have been too soon and he knows he would never hear the end of it if she had ended up having a panic attack or something. "It's nice to meet you, Emma says you're Mikeys babysitter, right?" At that Mikey pouted, their sister could be so mean sometimes. This question had Draken chuckling as he lightly shook her hand, nodding his head. "Yeah, something like that, someone's gotta carry him out of the restaurant." Now that got little Say laughing, she had seen Mikey fall asleep in many odd places. Like an odd game of hide and seek. Draken's body relaxed in relief; the way Mikey talked about her Draken had thought she was as fragile as glass. But now he was sure, she had to have an interesting personality no matter how shy she may seem. Something told him she'd end up a handful like Mikey, so it was probably a good thing he had 2 hands.

"Why don't we go find a someplace to hang out, it beats just standing around." These were Mikey's words, no sooner had he finished his sentence Sayuri tugged on his hand. "Can we go to the swings? I really like them." Shinichiro liked bringing her here every other day, the swings were her favorite place. Even if she wasn't flying through the air, just sitting on the swings was fun. "Sure, I don't see why not." Mikey smiled as he gently held her hand, the 3 of them making their way towards a large swing set. No one was around so they could hang out and talk freely, Sayuri in all her excitement let go of her brother's hand and ran the few feet away to the swings. One of them was wrapped around the upper bar, raising the seat somewhat higher from the ground. But she still tried her hardest to climb onto the seat, the site was cute enough to make Mikey chuckle and pull out his phone to record the sight. Draken watched for a minute or two, smiling and shaking his head he walked over to her and easily lifted her onto the seat since her brother wasn't going to help. She offered him a large smile and happy thanks; she tried kicking her little legs but couldn't get the swing to move more than a speedy sway. "Can you give me a push Kenny?" She looked up at him innocently, using her brother's nickname for the male. He normally didn't care much for the nickname, but he was willing to let it go, after all she was just a kid. "Sure but hold on tight. Even I can't get you if you go flying into a tree." She giggled at his words, kicking her feet excitedly as he placed his open hand on her lower back and gently pushed her. He did his best to restrain himself so that she could swing normally but not going to high, lord knows he'd have to physically throw Mikey to make sure she didn't hit the ground if she went flying (An entertaining idea he had to admit). Neither noticed that Mikey was still recording, he and his siblings had a group chat where they shared pictures and videos. He'd have to send this one for sure. He wasn't as oblivious to Emma's crush on Draken like she thought he was, so this would do perfect to tease his little sister. Pay back for all the smack she likes to talk. Soon he closed the camera though, tucking it into his pocket as he moved to join the two who conversed about something random Sayuri had questioned the tall male about.

Emma ft. Hinata

The older blonde was rather excited about the day, when Sayuri came back with Mikey a few days back Mikey had bragged about how well she did with her meeting Draken. The little girl had apparently warmed up to the gentle giant pretty quick, even asking him to push her on the swings. Now she and their other siblings had been picking dates so they could introduce her to their best friend, they had space it out to not exhaust her and they made sure to only pick on friend for now. Emma had chosen Hinata, the idea of them having a girl's night made her so excited. Even Sayuri had been riding on the energy, after things went well with Draken, she had gotten a big confidence boost and she was hopeful about meeting more of her sibling's friends. Currently the little girl was in a pair of mint green silk pjs that matched Emma's pink ones, they were waiting for Hinata to show up as she would be spending the night with them. Sayuri's long hair was pulled back into a ponytail, their usual facemasks on as Emma had a movie pulled up on the tv. "You're gonna like Hinata, she's really nice. She's dating one of Mikey's friends. You'll probably end up meeting him since he's usually around Draken and Mikey a lot." The mention of Draken makes the little girl's cheeks flush, nodding her head as she listened to her sister.

"How come Shin doesn't have a girlfriend? He's a lot older than us, right?" This made Emma snort, if only Say realized just how often she asked herself the same thing. "Shin is a little...silly sometimes. He gets scared talking to girl's and can be a little awkward, it can be endearing sometimes but he just hasn't found the right person yet." Say nodded her head, thinking about it. She had always heard talk of relationships, there were gossip columns in her mom's magazines that spoke about it. "I guess i can see both sides, a shy guy could be kinda nice but... I think I would prefer someone strong and confident. Someone who wouldn't be afraid to say they love me." She understood the importance behind the word love, she has lived without it and now that she has it, she felt the importance of it deeply. She hates how much she needs constant reassurance, but at the same time she loves hearing when her siblings or grandpa say it. It makes everything feel ok, so she really just wants someone who is patient and willing to reassure her that she's doing everything right. Of course, she didn't fully understand the different types of love, she didn't understand that romance is different from familial care. But she still knew that love in any form was good. "Yeah, I know what you mean Say, quiet guys are cute but there's a difference between mature silence and nervous silence." Emma patted her on the head, she loved having another girl in the house after so many years surrounded by guys. She tried not to let it bother her that Sayuri seemed to think much deeper than others her age, sure it made conversation somewhat easier, but she also understood it's because she had to grow up a bit fast and teach herself a bunch of stuff. They couldn't change the past, but they could help her and relieve some of the pressure going forward, Draken had teased her and her siblings the other day about them acting like guard dogs for the young girl and it was hard to be mad because it was true. No one had been there to protect the girl before, but now she had them and they were all more than capable of doing whatever they have to.

A knock at the door caught their attention, the wooden structure cracking a bit to reveal a young woman with burnt coral hair. "Hey there, sorry I'm late." Hinata entered the room as Emma motioned her inside, Sayuri watched her for a minute. Not out of nervousness but because she wanted to commit the girl's face to memory that way, she wouldn't forget her name. "It's no problem, Say and I were just having a boy talk~" Emma giggled as she scooted over on her bed, making room for Hinata to sit with them. "Oh really? Does Say already have a crush on someone?" Emma would often tell Hinata about Say's progress with relaxing and being a kid, Hinata was more than happy to hear about it since it was clear how much Say meant to her friend. She understood, she loved her little brother quite deeply as well. "Not sure, I was just telling her you were dating one of Mikey and Draken's friends." Emma giggled a bit, the thought of Takamichi making her happy. She nodded her head, looking over to Say. "You'll get to meet Takamichi soon probably, he's always with those 2." She spoke with playful exasperation, she loved that her boyfriend had friends he could hang out with. "Who do you like Emma?" At that her elder sister's face combusted into a cherry pink, now that Say had met Draken there was no way she could share that information. It was just too embarrassing for the older blonde, especially after what she said earlier. "No one really, most of the guys I around are Mikey's friends so it's kind of weird...What about you Say, you had your first crush yet?" She quickly diverted the topic, watching as Sayuri gazed at her suspiciously before shaking her head. "I've only met one person outside of our family once, so I can't really say. But Draken was really nice, so he certainly isn't at the bottom of the list." The little girl spoke matter of factly, neither older female reminding her that he's currently the ONLY man on that list. Emma was glad that Draken left a good impression on her, she hoped he might be a good influence on the young girl as far as confidence...and eventually helping the siblings run off any possible trash boys that try to use her in the future. Draken was going to be a part of their family, one way or another.

Izana ft. Kakucho

The male shushed Kakucho as they made their way down the hall, he planned to introduce him to his sister in a few days since Hinata had just been over 2 days before. Currently he was sneaking his friend in as both had been drinking and he offered to let Kakucho crash on his floor fir the night, he opened his door and flicked on his light. Both men entering and closing the door before noticing a movement on Izana's bed. A messy head of blonde hair peaking over his pillow, Sayuri had been sleeping on his bed in a pair of night shorts and a t-shirt. The buzzed male smiled; he was glad he didn't get smashed. He approached the bed as Kakucho stood at the door, watching quietly as the little girls hazy green/blue eyes locked on her big brother. "Zana?... Your home?" She sat up a bit as Izana moved to sit on the edge of the bed, gently petting her head. "Yeah, I'm home Say. Is everything ok? What're you doing in here?" He did his best not to slur, smiling down at the drowsy girl as she closed her eyes. "Was worried... you weren't home by bedtime. Thought you might not come back..." Her words held a sleepy lull to them, Izana's heart melted as he gently scooped her up and into his lap. "Sorry bout that, got distracted with some friends." It was then Izana looked up at Kakucho, the other male simply giving them their moment. "I was planning to introduce you two later, but I wasn't expecting to see you in here. Hope you don't mind if my friend joins us." In his tilted mind he couldn't come up with a single good reason to kick her out of his room, she was already so comfy and sleepy how could he tuck her into a cold bed in another room?

Minty eyes opened up a bit, glancing around before focusing as best they could on the new person. She lazily waved at the male, nodding as her brother told her Kakucho's name and motioned the male closer. "Hey there Sayuri, sorry to wake you up like this." Dual colored eyes gazed at the small child, she seemed so little in his friend's arms. He had heard a little from Draken about the young girl, the taller male offering his reassurances that she wouldn't spook as bad as her brother's feared. After all the 3 males practically expected her to pass out, immediately fearing that the worst could happen on their watches. Of course, accidents would happen, that didn't mean they were prepared for it emotionally, but they'd certainly be able to hold it together enough for her. "Is nice to meet you mister Kaku-" *yawn* The little girl was already starting to doze off again, snuggling into Izana's chest. "You can go on and sleep Say, I'mma stay up and talk to Kakucho a bit longer. I'll turn on the lamp though." Izana was gentle as he tucked the girl back in, watching her snuggle into the pillows as Izana turned on the bed side lamp and shut off the main light. From there it was a quiet conversation as they prepared a pallet on the floor for Kakucho, though they both ended up sitting on the edge of the bed while they spoke once his makeshift bed was made.

"Do me a favor and look out for Say when you can, I know she's gonna be around the gang and base plenty once she's more comfortable and probably even more as she gets older. And while I don't expect any of our friend's would do anything to her accidents could still happen." Izana looked to Kakucho, and while his words were slurred from drowsiness and alcohol, Kakucho could tell how serious he was. Heterochromic eyes shifted to the little girl, he had been close to Izana since childhood and considered him to be like a brother. If Izana wanted him to watch over Sayuri, then he would do so without question. He looked back to the white-haired male and nodded, giving him a thumbs up. "No problem, I'll keep the princess safe." He had cringed internally at his own cheesy words, perhaps he had drank more than he thought. With that they agreed it was time for bed, Kakucho climbing into his pallet as Izana slipped into bed beside the little one as quietly as he could. The dark-haired male watched his friend practically swaddle the sleeping girl in his cover, chuckling to himself as he had never seen Izana act so motherly. Once the girl was thoroughly incased the male settled down onto the bed, out like a light right after he shut off the light. He wasn't sure how the morning would go when the girl woke to a stranger sleeping on the floor, after all this all probably seemed like a dream to her when she first woke. He just hoped for the sake of the morning hangover that she didn't freak out completely, kid's shrieks were on a whole other level of painful.

Shinichiro ft. Wakasa

Shinichiro sat back on his bed, he and Wakasa leaning against the wall a they messed around with a video game. Though he paused the game when he heard the loud footsteps coming up the stairs and to his door, Sayuri had gone out with Emma and Mikey earlier that day to go to some shop in the mall that just opened up. Soon a quick but soft patter of knocking echoed from the door, Wakasa simply tilting his head as he knew if it was either of the other boys or Emma they would have just walked on in. "Come on in Say, I wanna introduce you to someone anyways." That was when it clicked for Waka, he had forgotten about the new family member despite agreeing to meet her when Shinichiro initially asked. He had heard a little from Draken about the girl, some of the other higher-ranking members having been made aware of the girl as well in preparation for Mikey bringing her to the base that way there wouldn't be to much chaos among the lower ranks. Soon the door opened and in ran a little girl, she was in a pair of jean shorts and a light long sleeved top with a pink floral pattern. In her hands she held a bag, happily going to Shinichiro's side. "We stopped by this shop that sells American style pastries; I got you some too!"

Shinichiro happily accepted the bag she offered him, patting her head gently. "Thanks Say, why don't you hang out with us, and we can snack on some. You don't mind do you Waka?" Shinichiro looked over the lazy looking male, the little girl looking up at him as she tilted her head curiously. It was the first she looked at him since she entered the room, her blue eyes glass like as she watched him patiently. "I don't mind, hope she doesn't get too bored watching us game." Sayuri smiled as she excitedly climbed on the bed between the two, giving the male a bright look. "I won't get bored, promise! I like watching Shin play his games, it's fun when he tries to do the puzzles." Her innocent giggles made Shinichiro pout, Wakasa chuckling as he nodded to the little girl. "I see, well you should have a ball today then since the game we're playing is full of partner puzzles." Her bright smile seemed to light even brighter at the thought, sure Shinichiro was smart but when it came to puzzle games, he sometimes gaslights himself and makes it all so much harder. "Just wait you two, I'll be fine without any help. Just you watch Wakasa." Shinichiro spoke quite confidently, smiling at his little sister's giggle fit.

As the two started up the game once more Wakasa hadn't moved from his spot, meanwhile Shinichiro was running around like a chicken missing its head. He was trying to follow some vague riddle that was supposed to lead him to a button, a button he had passed 3 times. Even Sayuri had noticed but she wanted to give her brother a chance to find it himself, she couldn't resist turning towards Wakasa to hide her smile as her brother turned towards them with a frustrated look. "Wakasa aren't you gonna do something? We need to work together." This comment had the little girl's shoulders shaking, Wakasa grinning lazily himself to his friend. "I thought you'd be fine without any help?" That made the dark-haired male huff, glaring at his friend frustratedly. "You know what I meant; this is a co-op game so we both need to look for the answer." He pouted as Wakasa only continued to chuckle, quirking an eyebrow as Sayuri hid her mouth behind her hand and watched the screen as Wakasa picked up his controller and walked right to the button Shinichiro had passed so many times. His eye twitched as Shin watched the screen, his face becoming his pink as he muttered out a playful, I hate you at the male and listened as Sayuri snorted with laughter at her brother's distress.

YouTube Excursion - Ayane Sakura

Happy birthday to the voice actress of massive vocal range and talent! She’s an amazing voice actress, singer, artist, and she’s good with tech stuff too!

Obviously, I couldn’t fit everything I wanted to in this video so I linked quite a few things throughout this post.

If the birthday post (compilation list) surprised you, be aware that she can voice old men and zombies too! She demonstrates some range in a radio segment HERE. I didn’t include it initially because the show this is for is a bit ecchi.

Ayane also talked about that time where she was hit on by a guy, and like Sora Amamiya, she shot him down. There are quite a few mistakes in subtitles, but you can watch it HERE.

Guy: Hey, can I get directions? Sakura: Sure, where to? Guy: Your house Me: THAT’S F**KING CREEPY BOI Mitsuo (on the show reacting to the story): You’d kind of want to one punch him, right? Girls (on the show reacting to the story): That’s so creepy! Sakura: That’s when I really thought, “Don’t ask me stupid things like that!” I ended up scaring him away when I said, “Sure, you’ll have to live with my family though.” Mitsuo: GOOD! GOOD ANSWER! It’s astonishing someone would ask something like that. Sakura: Yeah, but if anyone ever wanted to date me, they would have to meet my dad.

I’ve posted the video on how she got her nickname a few times now, so I’m only going to link it for this one. You can find the video HERE. It went a little something like this:

It’s her 25th birthday this year, but last year, someone translated a special that she did with Saori Oonishi. You can find that HERE. It’s 18 minutes long in 144p.

Ayane wanted to become a software engineer or something in that field until she realized that she wasn’t the greatest at it. She also had the hobby of welding and recreating things in middle school which coincidentally coincided with Yuuichi Nakamura's hobbies.

Ayane has been part of a few productions where there are gay leading characters, and she openly expresses how attractive girls are (she especially fangirls over Kana Hanazawa and says she would really want to date her if she was a guy, and the feeling is kinda mutual), so when she heard that a girl listening to her radio fell in love with a female classmate of theirs, Ayane was just fangirling and jumped aboard that ship. Risa Taneda (who is also hosting with her) was like, “Why are you smiling so much?” Ayane said, “Treasure your last moments before graduation! Be happy! I’ll send you a wedding gift! The world might give you a hard time for it, but as long as you’re happy, that’s what really matters.

Risa Taneda admitted that during school, she was confessed to by a female friend. She didn’t know how to react, and even though the romantic feelings weren’t reciprocated, she still looks back on her fondly. Ayane was absolutely elated with this corner, and Risa was like, “I’ve never seen you this happy?”

Takuya Eguchi gets annihilated by his female cast members. On one hand, all the female cast members are pretty close. They talk, go out to eat, etc. Meanwhile, nobody from the cast really calls Eguchi by anything else except for “Eguchi-san”. He is technically the oldest amongst them though.

This one doesn’t have subtitles, but I really wanted to include a Charlotte radio segment because honestly, they’re such bros. It kind of reminds me of Miyuki Sawashiro with Mamoru Miyano. They can both be openly flirtatious without having meaning behind their words. Ayane and Kouki are both single (to the public’s knowledge), but weirdly, Kouki is known for being quite aloof and cold while Ayane is known for not being good at interacting with guys. Of course, it helps that both have worked together on various projects.

Be aware that these are rough translations that don’t have much context.

Aesthetic: A pastel purple room, with accenting shades of shelves. On those shelves, there are many plushies and stuffed animals; some are actual animals and some are pokemon or unicorns. A soft carpet, light blue that’s plush to the touch. The next day’s clothes on the bed, crop top, skirt and stockings.
